Nice Hotel, breakfast good facilities good good position on the front, only gripe, queuing breakfast, just let people find their own seat, no need to show people and leave loads of people waiting, annoying protocol that needs changing..... Btw, most just walk in.

Nice, clean, modern hotel in a great location. The gym was a nice bonus and we really enjoyed the breakfast which offered lots of choice in a lovely room with views out to sea. Would definitely recommend and will return.

I felt that the basic double room without seaview should be less than £100 per night I paid around £125 for it including breakfast. The decor was a little dated and the mattress probably needs changing. Very good water pressure in the shower and the hotel is clean. the gym is good and the breakfast has a wide choice although the food is of average quality but was enjoyable. Location good and daily parking vouchers are available from reception for a couple of quid. There are lots of hotels in Eastbourne and this one is a little tippy. I would come back but only if the price is right.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Nice cosy room with balcony giving great sea views. Excellent breakfast buffet with a large enough number of staff to keep everything well stocked and in order. Good bank of lifts so no wait. All in all an excellent well run hotel

Great location right on the sea front. Parking was also easy as you buy a parking permit from the hotel front desk for £2 for 24 hours and you can basically park along the sea front next to the hotel. Room was okay - I was a bit disappointed that it was on the back with zero view. I booked a single room with a single bed as was travelling on my own - perhaps they put single guests at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was okay but would be better if you could serve yourself rather than waiting to be served along the buffet bar by the chef - thought that was a waste of time if I’m honest. Bar was really nice with great views too. I would stay here again.

We paid extra for a room with a balcony overlooking the sea - and so glad we did! The room was spacious with a couple of comfy armchairs we sat in with the doors to the balcony open just soaking up the sound of the sea. Everything about the hotel was well done - the breakfast spread was excellent, even the lifts came as soon as you pushed the button! But the best thing about it was its location, right by the sea and an easy walk into the lovely part of town with theatres and restaurants. Loved it.

Work trip regularly stay at The View. Reception staff helpful as ever and explained the new parking restrictions put in place by the council. Which was fine. Room clean. Bar service was terrible. Not sure if new staff. Seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing. Very limited food choice in bar. Not everyone wants to sit in the restaurant. But ordered food. Food arrived and he Asked if I’d ordered food despite table number being correct. Food was wrong I accepted it. 15 mins later the guy collected my plate. 10 mins later the same guy was offering me fries. Then seemed to ask most people if they were there’s. Tables not clean service was not good. Breakfast was awfully dry looking so I passed and went elsewhere.

There were hairs in the bath and lack of sufficient tea, coffee and milk in the room. My husband couldn’t have a shower as he couldn’t get the thing working. Cooked Breakfast wasn’t very warm either.

I was woken up last night by the AC making an awful noise, I had to get up at 02.45am to turn it off to then lay there with the noise of the gases coming out, the bathroom needs attention, limescale around the shower mixer back plate, and on the underside of the shower gel dispenser, the air vent not fixed in place, to say I woke up feeling cold, as did not want to turn the AC on again. I checked out at 08.40am and was not even asked how my stay was. So I wasn’t left the choice to give my opinion and bring the things to your attention. Check in was really slow, and at 14.45pm, there was one person on, and had to phone someone to get help with checking in, two people were in the area, and seem to just ignore it, the lady in front of me had a lot of cash and a young man came through to take the payment, and then left the girl on her own. The hotel itself was very nice, and breakfast, the lady on breakfast check-in could have been more acknowledging, as she seemed to have her head down when saying, please pick your own seat and help yourself to buffet breakfast. She could have given a bit more eye contact, she has a job of meeting and greeting, Overall it was pleasant.

Great location and lovely view! Only the reception team needs to improve their service! They all seemed very rude! Also we had such a lovely view from our terrace but couldn’t enjoy it from inside as windows were super dirty from fingerprints everywhere. Anyway would love to go back!

we have stayed at the view before. It wasn't as good as before maybe because we had a more basic room. They were much busier than last time. The room was basic however the drain smelt in the bathroom and the air vent was blocked which did not help. We informed on departure so hopefully fixed now. The staff in the bar looked under pressure. Not terrible by any standards but maybe they have taken their eye off the ball a bit.

We so enjoyed our stay last year that we didnt hesitate to book again this year. And were not disappointed. Great location. Room with sea view and balcony. Excellent breakfast. And superb staff, all areas kept clean and spotless.

Sewer odor stench and running toilet. Mildew. Old tv. Didnt even have a usb plug. No wall usb plugs. They let weekend guests check out at 12. That meant we were pushed back getting in. They put my checked bag in the wrong room. On the plus side, great location and balcony and curtains. They did give me a high floor. Didnt try breakfast. Newer appearing than all the other hotels.

Overall the hotel was very nice but our stay was uncomfortable as the room (521) was far too hot. The AC didn’t work, and the windows only open a tiny amount. We would have reported the issue at the time but it was too late in the evening.

We had a sea view room with balcony which was a reasonable size - not as large as we had assumed from descriptions for a superior room. Sea views were lovely and did sit in the balcony with drinks however just outside the hotel is a manhole in the road that everytime a vehicle drive over it made a real clatter which we could hear even with the balcony door closed not the hotels fault hope the council get it sorted as it was very annoying.

the airconditioning does not work i couldnt sleep because it was too warm im sure they are aware that this particular room had a problem because the receptionist asked me specifically about the temperature, i did say it was warm and i tried to adjust it by changing the settings but it was locked and no further action after that, there was construction outside which i dont blame but it was really noisy at times that why i cant open the balcony door, the pillows were worn out, they ran out of bacons and eggs as early as 0800h for breakfast

All staff were great except for man on reception when I checked in. Left a lot to be desired from the welcoming point of view. Apart from that all staff throughout were great. Terry on breakfast reception was exceptional.

It was amazing. Toni who checked us in was brilliant - really helpful and solved a room problem without us having to worry for a second because she was reassuring and thoughtful. The hotel was a delight. We stayed here out of chance because we couldn’t get a train back and we loved it. Our view of Eastbourne was great and the great hotel definitely put a positive spin on it. Soo much soo that we are planning to come back when we can

I was woken up last night by the AC making an awful noise, I had to get up at 02.45am to turn it off to then lay there with the noise of the gases coming out, the bathroom needs attention, limescale around the shower mixer back plate, and on the underside of the shower gel dispenser, the air vent not fixed in place, to say I woke up feeling cold, as did not want to turn the AC on again. I checked out at 08.40am and was not even asked how my stay was. So I wasn’t left the choice to give my opinion and bring the things to your attention. Check in was really slow, and at 14.45pm, there was one person on, and had to phone someone to get help with checking in, two people were in the area, and seem to just ignore it, the lady in front of me had a lot of cash and a young man came through to take the payment, and then left the girl on her own. The hotel itself was very nice, and breakfast, the lady on breakfast check-in could have been more acknowledging, as she seemed to have her head down when saying, please pick your own seat and help yourself to buffet breakfast. She could have given a bit more eye contact, she has a job of meeting and greeting, Overall it was pleasant.

Work trip regularly stay at The View. Reception staff helpful as ever and explained the new parking restrictions put in place by the council. Which was fine. Room clean. Bar service was terrible. Not sure if new staff. Seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing. Very limited food choice in bar. Not everyone wants to sit in the restaurant. But ordered food. Food arrived and he Asked if I’d ordered food despite table number being correct. Food was wrong I accepted it. 15 mins later the guy collected my plate. 10 mins later the same guy was offering me fries. Then seemed to ask most people if they were there’s. Tables not clean service was not good. Breakfast was awfully dry looking so I passed and went elsewhere.

Nice hotel, nice view facing the seafront (balcony room). Room was nice and quiet. The room was clean and there was plenty of space for one person. Complimentary coffee, tea and toiletries etc. Tv with lots of channels. I left my bag with them on departure, the only downside was there wasn’t any secure storage and it was left by the reception desk so I just walked off with it when I returned later with no-one checking which was slightly concerning as I had assumed it would be safe and not left in an open & busy lobby.

We love coming to the View hotel. We always have a balcony seaview room, and this time we were directly facing the sea, so we could hear the waves - wonderful. Breakfasts are excellent. We're not so keen on the menu in Artisan restaurant, but there are olenty of other options locally. Staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly. Transport options are great, with both the sightseaing bus and the Dotto 'noddy' train stop close to the hotel.

We have just had a two night stay at The View Hotel. Its location was fantastic for us as we were going to 2 gigs a few minutes walk away. Easy to park the car out the front in the bays (a few pounds a day). Our room was lovely, upgraded to king size and part sea view. Breakfast to die for..everything you could possibly want. It wasn’t a problem for us as we were out till late…but it’s Christmas party season and on both nights parties were banging till midnight …so no early night folks as the room was vibrating….everything thing else…perfect x

The hotel was very convenient for my trip as it was just round the corner from the theatre. Also had an excellent breakfast and room was very clean and comfy too. Staff very friendly and parking concession offered for parking on seafront.

This is third time coming here. Staff always happy to help, breakfast is excellent, and the sea is right on your doorstep. They accomodate across all the age groups and various mobility. Always enjoy my stay here.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room very clean and comfortable with everything you need. The buffet breakfast was excellent and all items were piping hot with a good selection to choose from both hot and cold. The only thing I have a slight criticism about is that only two teabags per day were supplied. The balcony was large enough to sit out on (weather permitting) with amazing views.

This is an excellent hotel. Great service and very comfortable. Breakfast was standard breakfast buffet but with very high quality food. Bar and food great and reasonable for a hotel of this quality and location Wouldn't look anywhere else.

Thank you for a fantastic stay. Wonderful view overlooking the beach, ocean and the pier. Fantastic sunrises. Tasty English AND continental breakfast. A daily special in the breakfast would give the otherwise very good breakfast a special note and some variation, especially for guests staying for more than a week (like I did). Maybe kippers every third day or a different kind of cold sliced meat or cheese every third day or black pudding once or twice a week.

As always I enjoyed my stay. The room (201) was exceptional. My only comment is that the shower needs a grab handle as the large step in made it difficult. Otherwise excellent as was the room service. Very good breakfast but disappointing to find the bar closed early on Thursday. Wouldn't look anywhere else for my trips to Eastbourne.
