The pool was huge but the jacuzzi was tiny. No bar open at the pool only bar is in the cafe and way overpriced. They charge $42 a day but do not have half the amenities they indicate you get! Would never book this hotel again

Hotel itself was great. Good amenities, easy to walk into the local area and comfortable. Beautiful views and excellent food. Wonderful staff. There is a poolside DJ that plays loud music starting at 10am until midnight or 1am at a neighboring hotel, So just be prepared for that.

After a mixed first visit, I returned to stay at this hotel! My opinion has completely changed. I would like to emphasize the importance given to the comments made during my first stay. This second stay was absolutely perfect. This is truly an establishment that takes the customer into account and cares about his well-being. The room was magnificent, very clean and all the hotel services were impeccable (spa, breakfast, fitness, etc). I'd recommend it!

Beautiful property and attentive staff but I was really looking forward to using the jacuzzi and it was out of service. Also, I was told that I had a credit to be used on food or beverage anywhere in the hotel but none of the hotel venues would accept it.

Only complaint we had was the toilet stall in our suite had a horrible smell and needed a good sanitizing. On a more pleasant note, the elderly porter named, Alvaro went above and beyond with his efforts to track down our luggage. We had to be shifted to a different room because our family of 4 just couldn't sleep in one king bed. Somehow our baggage went astray for a couple of hours and Alvaro tracked it down and delivered it to our newly assigned room. He also visited with us as we passed through the lobby a few times, and made us feel more at home. The people at registration were also friendly and helped us feel more comfortable.

Valet : Great, respectful, helpful. Cleanliness : bathroom was not giving. Mold in the shower, nasty in the sink, drippings down the toilet, water sprayer in tub and shower was very clogged with soap scum or something. Room service was poor when it came to cleaning. Front desk : helpful and did there job My sister came here years ago and this place was immaculate. She also had a view of the ocean and city. A building was built covering the ocean view (not their fault) and now we had a view of a WALL.

Nice hotel. Staff was nice. The lobby is really nice. The rooms are spacious but they are a bit outdated with “Brown” throughout the bathroom. The other major thing is the mattresses. They all have a cushion added but my lord do these mattresses need to be replaced. Very accessible location to restaurants and shopping.

Coffee pods were not available so they brought a full pot to our room for free daily. The room never seemed to be cleaned efficiently. The cleaning was marginal and we had to get them to come back in to clean again. The rooms definitely need some renovations as they are looking dated.

We've stayed at many JW Marriott's and Marquis' and this is the worst one we've ever booked. For a hotel that has all the bells and whistles in terms of amenities, the staff they hire could be more professional and friendly. The front desk staff and some hostesses in the Executive lounge were unfriendly and rather cold. They couldn't get our key cards to work for the Executive lounge on two separate occasions. Because of this, it caused problems for us to enter the lounge, which raised red flags for the hostess and accusatory looks. We also wanted towels on two different days and every time we phoned the front desk, we don't know if the message wasn't communicated, but we never received the towels. The only ones to greet you with smiles are the valets. We didn't drive, but they always held the door and helped us with our luggages. The amenities far surpass other hotels. The indoor basketball court, swimming pool, gym, billiards table and bowling alley were plenty to keep our kids busy while it rained outside. Although guests receive a discounted rate for the court, billiards and bowling, it would be much nicer if guests were allotted an hour of one activity per day since we pay a destination fee. The rooms are very spacious and although we were on the 19th floor, you could hear all the sports cars and trucks on the streets below. If in the area, we will be going back to the Mandarin Oriental where the service is top notch.

Horrible service from start to end. Staff do not reply to emails. Asked 5 times for a fridge. 3 times for towels as no one was coming. Got charged for fees we were told were included in the price. Staff just walked in the room while we were inside. Got kicked out of the room and front desk wouldn’t let us back in. There was nothing 5 star about this resort

This was the worst experience I ever had in my life. I had to sleep on the floor with my son. We booked 2 bed room but they gave us one bed and they did not want to help me at all. I even ask them to bring the small bed to my room, the answer was no. I was charged for 2 bed room but got 1 bed for 4 people. We were dealing for 2.5 hours to get help from hotel.com customer service or front desk in JW Marriott, neither one helped Now me and my son have really bad pain because we were sleeping on the floor.

We were immediately greeted by a friendly bellman. We were there at 9:30 in the Am and check in was not till 4. We had just planned on leaving our luggage and going to the beach. He said let’s see if your room is ready. Took us to a very friendly and helpful person at front desk who had a room ready and checked us in. Awesome service!! Room was immaculate and well decorated. We were in 34 floor with amazing view. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was amazing with tub and shower and tv in mirror.

The front desk staff was rude. My key card wasn’t working, so I went to the front desk. The woman there told me arrogantly that Your card isn’t working because you were supposed to check out today’, which was actually not the case. I was booked for another night. There was total lack of coordination between the staff itself, they didn’t seem to know much.

Great location, the hotel is taking is toll on the years, not to spend 500 dolars a night. The breakfast buffet lacks many items, only one coffe machine, still using plastic water bottles. Room service is very slow, 1 hour to wait at 11, 30 pm??

While it was a business trip, it coincided with my birthday. The front desk manager, graciously upgraded us to a fabulous suite. The food in the property is top notch. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is in a great location for business needs. Oh yeah, enjoy a great lunch or dinner next door at the new Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen.
