We were given a room at the front of the pub, above the bar. The pub is on a busy road junction and so there is traffic noise! It was hot so we had the windows open, it was noisy, however, the windows are double glazed and there were ear plugs provided. There’s no air con but there were 2 fans in the room. There were also plug in radiators, hair dryer, iron, full size kettle and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The room and bathroom were clean and well presented. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night so cannot judge if the pub would be noisy as there was nothing going on. We didn’t use the bar, however it looked clean and the staff were all happy and polite. You can walk into the centre of town in about 15 minutes alternatively the buses all run from the station which is only two minutes away. Big plus is the gated free parking in the car park, as there doesn’t seem to be much car parking in town and what there is is expensive. We had a good stay in a traditional town pub. For the price of the room, it’s great. There’s a block of rooms behind the pub which must be quieter, if you’re a light sleeper, I’d definitely ask for one of those! We had a great couple of days in Cambridge and Derby was a great base to work from.

A lovely stay, the room and linen smelt fresh and clean. Thanks for the toiletries and treats with the tea/coffee/hot choc. Having a fan in the room was fabulous as we needed to keep the windows closed to limit the traffic noise. Friendly staff and very accommodating with parking allowance on our check-out day. We had a great stay here at the weekend. We were only there one night as we had a wedding to attend nearby. The staff are brilliant, so helpful and friendly even let us check-in early. Room was perfect. Car parking so easy. Shame we couldn’t have spent longer there. Would definitely use again if in Cambridge.

The rooms are located overlooking their private car park (which is barrier code-controlled) and felt both secure and surprisingly quiet. The hotel were very helpful by letting me leave the car for a few hours after the room had been vacated. I'd happily stay again.

The room was good value and nice size. Staff friendly. You check in at the bar. But noisy re bar music till very early hours but we were awake anyway. It was a bit of a trek into the town.

식당하고 같이 운영하는 곳이라 별도 프런트가 없어서 매우 불편했음. 도착해서 식당에서 20분 정도 뻘쭘하게 기다렸음. 방은 작진 않았지만 전반적으로 칙칙하고 오랟히었음. 커피포트를 써 보려고 했는 데 안에 석회가 달라 붙어서 도저히 못쓸 정도여서 식당에서 받았음. 하지만 직원들 모두 친절했다. 역에선 가까웠으나 다시 예약하진 않을 듯.

We stayed for a night and had a lovely time. The people who worked there were so lovely and accomodating. The room was really clean, the bed was super comfy and the coffee/tea station in the room was really nice. We had breakfast in the morning and it was absolutey delicious. Overall a 10/10 stay.

Our room was clean and spacious. The lighting in the room was not great. One day, no housekeeping was done. The hotel is very close to the Cambridge train station and there are lots of coffee shops near the hotel. We ate our breakfast there one morning.

This place has wonderful character and the staff were great. The only thing I can possibly fault them on is the condition of the rooms as they are older and the surrounding noise BUT that should not dissuade you. The rooms are very clean and the windows are very good at keeping the noise out when closed.

Second time we have stayed as handy for my Papworth appts. This time mattress needs replacing, we did inform staff & it was noted. They don’t know unless it’s reported, but otherwise & enjoyable stay. Nice atmosphere in pub with very friendly staff.

We stayed at Early of Derby for one night and it was perfect! Either a 30 min walk or 5 min uber into town, the location is great. Check in and check out was easy and seamless. The room was clean and had everything you need! They even left a little bag of mini eggs as we stayed on Easter weekend! We will definitely be staying here again.

No dining on the day of arrival. The following day the breakfast was very poor, no remote for the TV. The double bed was two bases put together with a double mattress on top, if you ended up in the middle you would fall towards the floor, the service wasn't very good, the pictures that are being displayed for the hotel are out 10 Years old. I would advise Expedia to check this out.

Welcoming! Julie was the perfect host, lovely young gentleman showed me to my room, loved that as I had a long journey. Paul was friendly and had a nice breakfast. Would love to stay there again.

A bit disappointed with the service, i booked this hotel for 2 nights for 3 people, after booking i phoned the property and requested 3 single beds, the woman i spoke to said we will have a room with 3 singles beds, when the lads got there the room had a double and a single, not happy

We were given a room at the front of the pub, above the bar. The pub is on a busy road junction and so there is traffic noise! It was hot so we had the windows open, it was noisy, however, the windows are double glazed and there were ear plugs provided. There’s no air con but there were 2 fans in the room. There were also plug in radiators, hair dryer, iron, full size kettle and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The room and bathroom were clean and well presented. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night so cannot judge if the pub would be noisy as there was nothing going on. We didn’t use the bar, however it looked clean and the staff were all happy and polite. You can walk into the centre of town in about 15 minutes alternatively the buses all run from the station which is only two minutes away. Big plus is the gated free parking in the car park, as there doesn’t seem to be much car parking in town and what there is is expensive. We had a good stay in a traditional town pub. For the price of the room, it’s great. There’s a block of rooms behind the pub which must be quieter, if you’re a light sleeper, I’d definitely ask for one of those! We had a great couple of days in Cambridge and Derby was a great base to work from.

We stayed at Early of Derby for one night and it was perfect! Either a 30 min walk or 5 min uber into town, the location is great. Check in and check out was easy and seamless. The room was clean and had everything you need! They even left a little bag of mini eggs as we stayed on Easter weekend! We will definitely be staying here again.

everything was great. As this is a pub on a saturday night a band plays in the pub downstairs. We were fine with that. Very reasonable food prices. Very good selection of shower bottles and coffee and tea with biscuits,jellybeans,and mints. Great value centre of cambridge is 15 min walk along one road.

Was looking for budget accommodation with parking whilst visiting Cambridge Universities with our daughter.Proper pub as I knew in the eighties nit a thing of beauty nor high end but a joy to behold.Very popular with local workmen it seems for their breakfasts, horse racing and football /rugby enthusiasts.Full english very reasonable at Pnds 7.5 .20 minute walk to market square so a good base to explore from and many restaurants nearby plus a convenience store next door.Landlord very helpful and let us to leave out vehicle parked there the day we checked out until late afternoon . Triple room in adjoining building basic but clean -it was warm so we needed to use a fan provided which unfortunately squeaked as it rotated.

The food was excellent. We had a full English breakfast in the morning and it was delicious and reasonably priced. We ate dinner there one night and that was good as well. The staff people were awesome. The rooms are next to the beer garden so there can be a little noise until the pub stops serving, but it wasn't bad at all for us even having the window open. It is very close to the train station and bus stops.

No dining on the day of arrival. The following day the breakfast was very poor, no remote for the TV. The double bed was two bases put together with a double mattress on top, if you ended up in the middle you would fall towards the floor, the service wasn't very good, the pictures that are being displayed for the hotel are out 10 Years old. I would advise Expedia to check this out.
