We rented a caravan on the roof yes I said a roof It was called rocket 1 and was 20ft long enough for 2 of us overnight it has windows all around and on the top too this was very nice in the evening with the wing travelling through . It can get a bit noisy with on roof generators and seagulls and locals in pubs but dont let that put you off as it is a friendly place . Staff member was very polite and informative as we only needed to speak to him twice . Breakfast we never purchased so can't say anything except it looked like a very clean dining area. And again the bar as we dont drink but there was a honesty bar where you take a drink and write it down with your room number and billed later but plenty of bars and restaurants around overall our experience was 10 /10

Location was great -only 5 mins walk from the car park and easy to find once I’d found the right side street - in the centre and near restaurants and the theatre (the reason we visiited). Layout is a little quirky - including a special key for the courtyard at night - but I liked it for that. I did struggle the temperature, but it was a heat wave. My room overlooked the bars behind the building. The windows blocked out the noise and the fan kept me “cool”. Decor was interesting - the wardrobe is pegs on the wall - and the room was a little cosy (I was solo in this room - so it was fine for me and I booked a king size room for my friends). The bathroom was showing its age (cracked sink and cracked floor tiles) but everything worked and was clean. For the price and the location - I’d stay here again!!

Had a great time, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. Novelty value of staying in the caravan on the roof was tremendous, never forget that - however - ours could’ve done with a bit of maintenance here & there, it is a caravan after all. Nothing much, seat covers were a bit shabby, few screws missing/undone here and there and the skylights could do with fixing/replacing, they were hanging a bit and one was held in with gaffer tape and dripping. Other’n that …. All good
