Good hotel close to the city center. It’s a 20-25 min walk to the riverwalk. It was clean, the staff was super nice and we had free parking. It was a little noisy during the night, but the bed was comfortable and spacious.

Easy walking distance to Alamodome. Very, very limited parking but it’s supposed to be enough for one car per room. Area felt safe enough. Road noise is considerable but having a white noise app helped. Guy at desk was kind. Had hard time getting calls answered. I probably called more than ten times before arrival to ask a question and only got thru once. They also didn’t answer via the messaging portal. Not sure what the trick is to getting calls answered. Overall good stay with easy access to a few restaurants and Alamodome.

Had a quick overnight stay and the location is very convenient within Downtown San Antonio. Parking is free but there may be times that it could be challenging due to limited spots even though street parking is available as well. Room is decent and staff is accommodating

Great location and walkable distance to St Paul Square and Riverwalk. The hotel is like new the rooms are nice, very clean and beds very comfortable. The front desk husband and wife who run it are very nice people. Just so others who wanna book, the parking lot is limited and so only one vehicle allowed per reservation/booking. But everything else was great and I enjoyed my stay.

A clean updated room, clean bathroom. Soaps and shampoo were minimal at best, but I travel with my own. Mattresses are firm, cooling worked great. Owners were very nice, as was the staff. A great value! I will stay here again.

Lobby and elevators constantly smell like curry... not good especially in the morning. The towels are completely unacceptable! Hard and tough, practically scrape your skin off. Yuck.

It was my third time there & to be honest, since my perspective it's a great place to stay: It's 15 minutes ish to the Downtown walking & all the way out to there, are so much to see & interact. The room is spacious, was clean, the attention on the Lobby was great & friendly & even you're near to the Downtown, we passed so comfortly our nights, to be honest. In a overall way our stay was very good, but the only thing that, sadly I have to say something & share as "Constructive Feedback" is about a White PVC Tube that was leaking over our Shower, all our Stay the Tube had been leaking cold liquid that we thought that was from a A/C Equipment but we didn't know if that was from ours or from the side Room. That was the only thing that I didn't like & for that reason I can't give the Excellent Rate. Just for reference our Room was the 208.

Smelled like mold and cigarettes even though it's a no-smoking property. They need to deep clean the place.. the receptionist blamed it on the humidity. The road noise from the neighborhood was terrible, I literally though there was a car race going on next door at the stadium but it was just people driving crazy on the road next to the hotel.

It was inexpensive, but for the money I paid I usually can get a King suite at the Holiday Inn and Suites. This was a room it did not have a closet, a table or chair. The towels were something a child could dry off with, several of the floor tiles were cracked in the bathroom and the corner wall strip (metal) in the bathroom was coming from the wall. The coffee in the room was only decaf, when I asked for regular the clerk stated that he was new and that was all they had. I probably would not stay there again.

The room smelled of heavy deodorizer to mask some other odor. I am allergic to many odors especially if they are strong. The mini fridge was frozen up so would not keep anything cold. The night stands looked like they hadn’t been dusted in a month.

The room cleanliness was okay. The shower had awful drainage and formed a puddle. The room was noisy due to thin walls and windows. I could hear lots of car traffic noise from the nearby East Commerce Street, especially loud motorcycles and modified engine exhausts; this is my biggest complaint. I could hear some train horns. I could hear people talking outside my door, and water draining from apartments above. Walking west towards downtown, there were many empty lots and shuttered businesses, making it a boring and unfriendly experience for anyone not in a car.

Good location at a reasonable price for those attending events at the Alamodome. A small basic hotel with small clean rooms and reasonably comfortable beds. No luxury details expected and obviously doesn't include breakfast. A lot of street noise.

Staff member at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. He was very busy but took the time to answer our questions. Also the property is within walking distance to Amtrak station, the convention center, the Downtown Riverwalk and the Alamodome. The room was clean and quiet.

When I arrived, all the doors were locked and no one was at the check out counter. I stood there for 15 minutes on the street with my suitcase. I called and got no answer. It was 6 pm. I ended up staying with a friend somewhere else and losing my money. When i called back a few days later to check and see if my reservation was still standing, the receotionist was rude and hung up on me.

I have visited the hotel many times because it's so convenient to walk to the convention center. This wasn't the first time that they didn't want to recognize the hotel.com reservation. Only when I pressed the issue and showed them my confirmation did they take the time to find it. I think when they're almost full, they want to try to get a higher hotel room rate. There was a sold out sign in the door. The gentleman at the front desk was unprofessional and unfriendly. He never apologize for the inconvenience. The room had an outside entrance, smelled like smoke and didn't have any way to hang your clothes. Sketchy place. I won't be returning.

Fantastic stay. Verrrry close to Alamodome (across the road and down a bit, walking distance), has free parking, 2 min drive to Alamo. Arrived into a refreshingly cool room (so thoughful after a hot day out and about). Comfy cozy sleep in a HUGE King bed complete with loads of pillows and 2 long cylinder shaped cushions, great for leaning against to watch tv. Had microwave and fridge (no icebox) but ice AND vending machines a couple of metres away by lift on level 2 where we stayed. Luggage trolley at reception useful for lots of luggage. Wifi automatic, no need to enter password. Would absolutely stay again. Many thanks from delighted New Zealanders 😊

I accidentally signed up for a handicap room on the first floor, which I was not comfortable with. The staff immediately put me in a room that was more to my liking with minimal paperwork…. They made it very convenient for me.

This was the perfect spot for us to stay when we were in San Antonio for a concert at the Alamodome. It was so convenient to walk from this hotel to the concert--didn't have to pay for parking or an Uber. It was a little noisy (train track nearby and some street traffic) but the rooms are good size and clean. Very helpful/friendly staff!

The hotel is average for the price I paid. The room was clean but needs upgrading. The room was very small and towels were old. The location was close to downtown but homeless people were in the parking lot :( Parking was free. We took a Lyft. No breakfast is offered. The AC worked very well. Probably won’t stay again because of the price. If you’re a no frills or extra person, this will work. You can probably get a more modern room with amenities for the same price in downtown.

Very clean room. The manager was a super nice person. She gave me lots of advice about the area and suggestions where to go. She let me do a 1 hour extension of the check out. The location of this hotel is great and is right next to some nice downtown bars and restaurants and close to the main area of the Riverwalk. I walked about 12 minutes to get to the stairs taking you down to the actual river walk. I highly recommend you to stay at this hotel.

City View is a small, basic hotel - not luxurious but certainly fine for a couple of nights in San Antonio. The price can't be beat! And they have free parking, too. The location is within walking distance of the Riverwalk and the downtown area. The room was large, great bed, assortment of pillows, clean. There are several places to eat and drink nearby. No free breakfast at the hotel. Highly recommended for a basic room but great location and prices.
