Long walk from parking in garage to lobby check in desk

We didn't like the walk to our vehicle, we are both handicapped. Other than that everything was good. The bed was comfortable.

Pool and gym closed. Everything outdated

CHARGED ME FOR EARLIE CHECK IN, AND THEN i HAD TO USE STAIRS IF I WANTED TO GO TO MY ROOM CAUSE THE ELEVATORS WERE DOWN TEMPARYLY.

Customer service was top notch. The front desk people were so polite. The hotel is very nice and inviting. My only complaint was that the parking garage was trashy. Like there was trash and small debris everywhere. Other than that i would recommend.

The pool is only for 21 & up. The a/c did not work. The catpet was greasy. But the staff was so friendly. So sad to see a place gone down hill.

Jacuzzi tub room was clean, bed was comfortable, and sound from other guests were manageable/not distracting from our stay. The price was great. The only real complaint is that it was not disclosed that the pool was out of service and apparently has been out of service for awhile. Families would be a bit miffed if they planned to stay for the pool just to realize the pool was out of service after check in. We were not told the pool was out of service at reservation or when we checked in.

We stayed in a room that had a king size bed and jetted whirlpool. The room was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of hot water for our needs. We chose this hotel for the advertised swimming pool and hot tub. I gave this hotel a 3 star review since the swimming pool and hot tub are closed until April. I wish their website was updated to show the closure.

It sucks thay don't tell you pool is closed

The grounds around the hotel are a little unkept. Empty parking lots with grass growing up through. It makes it look abandoned! Just doing that would make it look better. Staff is very friendly and my room was great! Didn't have a remote when I got it, but it took about 10 minutes to get a new one. Thanks!

Everything is very old and outdated. Hotel room smelled horrible the tv barely worked no ac the carpet was absolutely disgusting. Do not waste your time with the jacuzzi room ours didnt work. Only good thing was the linens on the bed were clean and comfy. Do not and i mean do not waste your money at the buffet… absolutely horrible food and the staff is equally as bad .. The bar is always dead and i would bet its from the horrible smell coming from the buffet. The casino is mediocre at best mostly all old school slots and very few tables. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!

The floors were sticky, I thought maybe it was left over cleaner so i cleaned the bathroom and wore shoes the whole first day. By the second day I realized it may have been bug spray, which would also explain the smell. A very large roach crawled up the back side of my bed and over my pillow. I killed the bug and pulled out the bed to find food wrappers and used napkins. Staff offered discounted buffet prices as a solution. I had to reach out to expedia (they were wonderful) in order to get a refund to go stay somewhere else for the remainder of my trip. The manager said: "if it were an infestation and not just one bug you know I'd figure something out." I do not know that and very highly doubt it with the lack of resolution they provided. Also, the smoking floors are below the non-smoking so our room and all our clothes smelled like cigarettes and other smoke for the duration of our trip.

THE ROOM WAS DIRTY - THE BATHROOM SINK AND BATHTUB WOULD NOT DRAIN WATER. THERE WAS CIGERATE BURNS ALL OVER THE BED. THE SHEETS WERE STAINED AND DIRTY - WE HAD TO CALL THE FRONT DESK FOR CLEAN SHEETS AND THE LADY WORKING THE FRONT DESK WAS RUDE ABOUT GIVING US CLEAN SHEETS. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN - IT WAS TERRIBLE

Rooms definitely need upgrade and maid service is bare minimum, mold in coffee maker and dirty lamps. Smells old

We stayed here for one night in the King/Jacuzzi suite. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The jacuzzi tub had some issues with gettingbstarted but after a while of pressing the button it worked. The walls were very thin and we could hear the neighbors conversations, playing music, and partying. The room suited us well for the one night, if we ever go back to Louisiana and stay at Boomtown I would probably request a room next to some elderly's so we can get some better sleep.

Check in was smooth and the attendant was very courteous and professional. The casino was clean and the attendant explained the restaurants and the things that were open that weren’t open the last time that I visit during the summer, the room was clean as well. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were phenomenal, but it was so hot and when I say hot, I mean, I live in Texas I understand, but it was all it was irritating how hot it was. The fan didn’t help at all. It was like the whole third floor was a furnace. I hardly got any sleep and I was very agitated waking up the next morning. We did tell the attendant in the morning about the safe that didn’t work. The closet door literally came off the hinge and how extremely excruciatingly hot it was. They offered nothing but an apology which is kind of disappointing because we’ve always chose boomtown because we liked the low-key atmosphere. I hate to say it, but I don’t think that we would go back nor would we recommend anyone staying there Due to the fact of the AC not working had they offered maybe a food voucher or anything things might be different. It’s sad. I’ve always believed in the integrity of that brand and now I’m just left hot irritated and disappointed. Zero stars would not recommend.

The only thing I did not like was that the rooms do not have a microwave. You have to go all the way downstairs just to heat food up.

Cheap place to stay on weekday. The room was clean. Wifi wasn’t working during my stay.

First room was hot and smelled like mold and mildew. Moved to a different room and got locked out of our room. It took 2 hours to get back in. This was our one year anniversary and that got ruined. Would like a refund.

I stayed 2 nights at Boomtown while in Shreveport for medical care. It was an excellent experience. The whole staff was very attentive and the front desk people were awesome...especially Katie. I will stay here again.

I arrived to check-in about 5pm. My room was very hot. 3 hrs later still hot. Called the front desk. Took 2 more phone calls to get someone up to check. 10pm told to wait for an hour or two then call if still not cool. Midnight waiting again. 2 am moved to another room. I was disappointed that it took so long and so much to rectify this situation.

Staff was very friendly over the phone and in person during check in process. Checking out was convenient and the housekeeping staff was excellent

All I have to say is I would never ever ever stay at this property ever again. The service was bad. The parking was terrible. Everything was practically closed and lastly, as far as the room was very outdated, it needs to be renovated and as far as amenities in the bathroom, no microwave no lotion And no soap, which was really ridiculous

Property was close to arena.

It was the perfect location, close to our concert venue.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy parking and convenient location.

I love that it's close to the downtown Bossier area ! Such a great place!

Room was nice and clean and close to Shriners Hospital. It’s what I needed.

This was the second stay at Boomtown in the past several months. Our room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The TV channel selection was the only negative. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. For the price, and its location (right off of I-20), the Boomtown Hotel is excellent and one that I would recommend to those going to the Shreveport/Bossier City casinos.

It was a great location

was convenient to park and walk into the hotel. Elevators were FAST, no waiting. Could walk from room to casino and back without the hassle of driving to the hotel and then the casino.

It's location near the red river...it was peaceful

The bar was supposed to stay open on Saturday night until 1. We came in from a concert at 10.30 and they were already closed. Then when trying to get a drink at the casino you had to play and wait for them to come around to you which was not very frequent. If you went to the fest they got mad because you asked for one.

The front desk staff was great, but the bar was advertised to stay open until 1 am. When we came in from a concert intending on staying down for drinks, the bar was already closed at 10.30. We had to leave again just to find drinks because the casino refused us drinks unless we were playing but was not comp around asking for drink orders. When we went up to ask for one they were very rude about it.

More restaurants need to be open and bar as well

Great spot. Clean, excellent value for the money. We were there just one night as weary travelers breaking a long ride. Perfect spot for our purposes. Only downside was the restaurants were closed for Monday & Tuesday night but we were able to get great chef salads and delicious hamburgers at the corner deli style restaurants. Highly recommend

We thought we had reserved a jacuzzi room which is not what we got so we asked if we could change to one even if we had to pay more and was told all of those rooms were booked. No problem except our room was not cleaned well. The chair in the room had a nasty looking stain that looked and smelled like someone had urinated on it. They coffee maker had a red powder inside where you pour the water. The casino is closed early morning which is my favorite time to go play. Most of the restaurants weren’t open. Worst casino hotel stay I have ever had.

Plenty of free parking. Super nice and easy check in. Room was a bit warm for us but it was hot outside and we were on top floor. The room was spacious, the bathroom small. The jetted bathtub was nice. It required a response from maintenance but he was there fast, and he knew what he was doing. The bed was soft but not terribly uncomfortable. There are only two choices for food, a steakhouse and a over-the-counter fast food place, which closes at 9:45pm. Casino closed from 3am-9am. There are three gaming floors. We did not know this until we checked out. Bar service on the casino floor was good. A dated casino/hotel, but not bad.
