Location and proximity to the Biltmore is awesome. However, the area immediately surrounding the hotel was rough. Buildings literally falling down, lots of graffiti and just a general unsafe vibe.

Stayed 1 night

We checked in after 10pm - we were basically there to sleep and eat. They overbooked our room type, and the 6 of us were forced into a room for 4. I called the hotel after the trip and they offered us some compensation for the inconvenience. The ground floor is a parking garage - you have to take an elevator to the second floor to reach the lobby. The lobby was full of a children's group and their parents - pretty loud for that time of night. I felt bad for guests on that main floor. The room was clean enough, though it wasn't decorated bright and modern like other Home2 Suites we've been to. The sofa bed did not have any bedding in the room - we were given it at the front desk when we checked in. The faucet was slow-draining, so it was hard to wash your hands without dipping in the sink water. I felt like the room never got cold enough, and the mattress was a little convex, pushing me towards the edge. Breakfast was pretty good - as at all of the three Home2 Suites we visited on this trip. This one had a modest fresh fruit selection, waffle station, yogurt machine, oatmeal, a few muffins with the usual bread and bagels to be toasted, and a hot food station, which included things like egg cups, fried chicken breasts, fried potato wedges, sausage patties, fresh biscuits, and English muffins. The chicken breasts, potato wedges, and I think the chorizo patties were unique to this location out of the 3we visited.
