There are a lot of great restaurants nearby in walking distance and the beach is close and easy to access. The surrounding areas is nice but the hotel itself needs maintenance and upkeep and the cleanliness is questionable. The staff was nice and accommodating however. Also parking is very limited

We couldnt get ice.nthey had ice machine locked. Had call manager at homr to get him bring keybto unlock. Never saw anyone in office again. We left after first night. Found wonderful place stay right up road. N beach access is bull! Walk a block then down to end of street n beach access. Horrible. Didnt even get room i upgraded to.

Nice place to stay thats not gonna break your budget. On A1A across from the beach. The hotel manager remembered me from a year and a half ago and was very friendly and accommodating. Free parking as well. Hard to find that in that area. Great family place.

This is a very nice little hotel with waking distance to the beach, food, & a grocery store. The front desk is exceptional! Clean pool, ice is readily available & aways a nice perk for a beach day.

Sunday I checked in Pool was Green. Pool Guys came Monday and serviced pool. Room needs fumigated lots of very small bugs running around on the furniture.

It has a lovely pool and is directly across the street from the beach. A1A is a busy street, so if you’re looking for quiet, this isn’t quiet. But the staff is quite friendly and helpful.

I like the shrubbery. The Christmas Palm trees made the property breath-taking. Being that close to the Atlantic Ocean was rejuvenating. The pool and view was absolutely beautiful. I did not like how the Ice Machine broke on my second day.

Pictures don’t represent what was really about it. The room was dirty, old facilities in the room and bathroom. We didn’t have a microwave and coffee maker. There was only a fridge in the room. The mattress was nasty. The pool was dirty too and water was murky. The maintenance of the hotel in general was poor. I stayed for 6 days and they never cleaned the room. We didn’t have toilet paper nor shampoo or soap. They don’t give you towels for the pool. The worst place that I’ve ever been to.

I was very disappointed with the quality of this hotel. Very nice outside and nice pool. But the room was not clean. Lots of little bugs on th sheets. Not sure if that’s a southern thing but I was not comfortable. Recommend spending $ and not going cheap like I did.

Room was VeRY dirty. Ac was turned off when we arrived. Room was filthy. Electric was very bad. Couldn’t charge my phone and use the table lamp at the same time. Just slight movement of the table would turn the light off. Wall switches didn’t work, door locks were horrible. Tv remote didn’t have most buttons working. Couldn’t access tv at all. Toilet was dirty! Had dried blood under the seat Will NEVER stay again.

Terrible is an understatement. Mold in the bathroom curtain, bed sheets ripped and stained. No toilet paper, had to ask. Bathroom towels were stained and the nice woman cleaning told me they were clean just stained red!! Safe your money stay somewhere else. At least the staff were nice.

We truly tried to like this property, but the only upside was the location being by Fort Lauderdale By the Sea. In a room with two queen beds, meant for four occupants only two full size towels (both stained) were provided, and two hand towels. During a 4-day stay staff did not replenish towels or toilet paper once. A Do Not Disturb sign was provided (and not used by us) and staff still did not stop in the room once. The ice machine was dirty and barely worked. There was no comforter on the beds, only two sheets with a thin blanket between. The a/c was disgusting looking, but at least it worked. Woke up every morning with a sore throat and stuffy nose. Bed bugs. All of us having stayed in the room have bug bites all over and all personally saw bugs both in our beds and in the sink. Overall quite disappointed, would honestly never stay at Ocean Mile ever again and do not recommend at all.

There were ants climbing the bathroom walls, congregating around bathroom faucet, and the toilet flusher was broke. We were able to fix the toilet. Very dusty, and unkept. Cleanliness was an issue.

Checked in later in the day and the front desk gentleman was less than friendly. He came across as rude, which might it have been his intention. There’s a $40 cash deposit on the key which is not posted anywhere. The floor in the room was dirty and sandy, the sheets are all stained with what looks like blood, there was hair in the sheets from previous tenants. We slept on top of the sheets. No bed bugs at least! The shower curtain was moldy and the bath towels feel like sandpaper. Close 1/4 mile walk to beach. Pool was clean. The light switch doesn’t work so the fan and lamps need to be plugged into a stop that’s by the bed to turn them on. I’m not sure if that’s just the room offered for hotels.com and the others are nicer. Very limited parking. I paid practically nothing for the weekend but if you like clean and not a rundown trap motel, look elsewhere.

A/C filters were dirty so I removed them, took photos and washed them. Management needs to pay attention as clean air is a basic need. Weak internet, which is a real bummer. Other than the a/c and the weak internet we would stay here again as we have to be in Fort Lauderdale several times a year.

We had booked two rooms at the same time upon arrival they weren’t together which was very disappointing, besides the fact the rooms were clean but very outdated. The property manager kept saying we were in rooms with updated bathrooms, but our bathroom door wouldn’t even shut. Top it all off, someone tried to get into our room at 5:30 in the morning. Glad it was only a one night stay.

The room was clean. Housekeeper does a nice job. No one at the desk to check in at 3:00pm, but the housekeeper was nice enough to let us in our room. Thats about it. Only a window AC Unit, but cool air didnt pass through into the room. Set it to 62° but it wouldnt cool down to anything lower than 75° or so. Way too hot to get any sleep. Talked to the manager and he told me the room was fine and to go buy a fan. Beds were too firm for me, but the pillows were ok.

Good location, nice front desk personnel. Pool area looked nice and well maintained. The room itself was mediocre, no hand towels or wash cloths, water was warm but that is it. My biggest complaint is the AC is under locked box, set at 73 and can’t be adjusted.

Tv selections were excellent. Furniture was average. Location on A1A was good for walking and busses Door lock seemed flimsy. Microwave didn't work. Hallway light flickered. Shower tap was backwards. Lots of road noise fron A1A.

Nice pool area but the rooms are in serious need of renovation and our shower knob was spraying cold water everywhere when in used. However, check in was easy and it is in a good location on A1A.

When we arrived nobody was at the front desk, had to wait for 1 hour and a half untill the “owner” showed up, he was on the phone, his attention was poor and when we finally got into our room, the AC was down, after an entire day in a very hot room when we were ready to check out, the owner wasn’t there again so I had to wait again to get my money back for the deposit and bring the keys back, terrible place, not recommended at all!!!

This is an older property and the price was right. The room presented in person as it was online. The pool area was very lush with greenery. The pool was clean and very well maintained. Our main contact at the property was Oliver, he’s very friendly and helpful. Mike also helped with our questions and accommodations. Both gentlemen were readily available with any assistance we needed. Very nice property!

The staff of reception supposed to be back at 9am for us to return the room’s key and have our deposit back. Turned out we have been waiting outside the office for more than 45 minutes. No one showed up. We can only drop our key in the locked box and hurried to leave for our cruise.

I can't tell you about the stay - because we didn't get to stay! We arrived at 9:40 to find that the office had closed at 9:30 - so we couldn't check in. We called the 'after-hours' number listed and couldn't leave a voice mail message because the box was full. Paid in advance to NOT have a hotel room. Unacceptable!

Everything was old but it was $80/night with taxes vs $200-$300/night elsewhere. We were just visiting an elderly family friend we hadn't seen in 15 years. I also didn't like having to give $40 cash for key deposit & they said I had to provide a credit card to cover any damages. I wanted to leave early to go home 715 miles away but had to wait until a little after 10am before they opened to get my key deposit back & my photocopied credit card info. I worried so much my first night about it that someone would write down my cc info that I went to the bank in the morning & closed it, then got another one issued.

Another wonderful stay at the Ocean Mile Hotel. Owner/operator Oliver and crew always make for a time well spent. A reasonably priced property that is constantly being maintained and improved. Unliked other nearby motels that seem to decay year after year. Nice job guys!!! 👍

10 guests including us tried checking out at 9:30 am and nobody was there, door was locked. Clerk finally showed up around 10:15 am., took extra long to finally get our cash deposit back!

The room was nice except for the really loud fan, the kitchenette had no dish towel/ paper towel. The bath towels were the scratchiest we’ve ever used. The office service was lacking. We came in during regular evening hours and had to wait 20 min. for the office staff to arrive. Then we were told we had to leave a 40 dollar cash only deposit for the room key! This was not disclosed anywhere on the hotel.com app. They did give us a better room than originally expected. Then in the morning we had to wait until the office opened at 9:30 to check out! Beware if you have early plans! You get what you pay for.

Nice place to stay thats not gonna break your budget. On A1A across from the beach. The hotel manager remembered me from a year and a half ago and was very friendly and accommodating. Free parking as well. Hard to find that in that area. Great family place.

It has a lovely pool and is directly across the street from the beach. A1A is a busy street, so if you’re looking for quiet, this isn’t quiet. But the staff is quite friendly and helpful.

There are a lot of great restaurants nearby in walking distance and the beach is close and easy to access. The surrounding areas is nice but the hotel itself needs maintenance and upkeep and the cleanliness is questionable. The staff was nice and accommodating however. Also parking is very limited

It was raining the whole time we were there and there is not even coffee or tea for breakfast - either in the room or in the office. Was told there was only water to purchase but then found out there was a soda machine on the 2nd floor. Why didn't the office say that?

Had to pay an additional $40.00 deposit at check in . Didn't see any mention in the ad .A/C was not on and had to wait for room to cool . Room had a coffee maker but no coffee or cups . Good place if you smoke cigarettes not so good if you don't .

Basic no frills, clean enough, and for the most part markedly quiet. Haitian maid was very loud outside the door on a never ending FaceTime assumably personal call at 10AM. But other than that was surprisingly quiet at night. Some coffee, even the most basic would be a nice touch in the office in the AM. I’d stay here again, but wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to do so.
