Great mountain lodge just off the freeway but extremely quiet and peaceful. Extremely helpful and welcoming staff. Excellent restaurant - had the best steak in a loooong time with a great martini! Will stay her again and again.

Restaurant was very good. Great breakfast! Bar was well stocked with live entertainment. Front desk was friendly, helpful and amazing! We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Nice spot next to I-5 that is big chance from chain hotel to treat yourself. Spacious rooms, relaxation facilities

Callahans is a hidden gem. House is private and adjacent to the property but still affords access to amenities like hot breakfast and restaurant. The outdoor patio and live music was particularly lovely. House hadn’t been stayed in for awhile and there were a few maintenance issues but Tommy really went to bat at getting them resolved. A few little details like more dishes and handsoap in baths and this place would hit it out of the park. Pet and family friendly. A solid stay. We will come again.

Neat Forest location, hot tub inside the room, soft comfortable bed. Whole hotel is Under Staffed, they close the restaurant and bar at 8:00 pm? The flooring throughout the entire hotel is tired and needs replacement. The continental breakfast needs some help, it’s some sort of pandemic minimalism carryover.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The Lodge has a real homey feel and lots of amenities that we enjoyed like the game room, gym and conference room. Our kids enjoyed the movies at the front desk and being able to hang out together in the game room. The decks off of the rooms had lovely views. The room itself was very comfortable with a nice fireplace (free wood) and the beds were super comfy!!! Will definitely stay here again.

This resort is in dire need of a total renovation. The carpets are stained and look filthy, the furniture is very worn, the whole facility has the feel of being old and unkempt. The room smelled stale and smoky from the fireplace. There was no manager or owner on site; the (very) few staff were friendly but uninformed (for example, when we asked what the “live music” was going to be, the answer was, “no one tells us.”) The bar was not well-stocked - for example, only one white wine and a sparse selection from numerous local wineries, and no dry vermouth for mixed drinks. The grounds/landscaping are in need of upkeep - the “waterfall” and pond are clearly not functioning and look stagnant. And, being located so close to I-5, the traffic noise was constant. Food was “meh,” and the included breakfast was what you’d find at a Motel 6. This resort could be something special but is obviously being neglected. A disappointment.

The power went out from 7pm to 2:22am. That was rude, but not your fault. The luggage trolleys are 50 years old and garbage. The stay was fine, we will be back.

Nice example of a mountain lodge. Very limited dinner menu but good food. Well stocked firewood supply. Decent lounge singers. Great dining ambiance with fireplaces Definitely looking forward to staying again.

The bed was super comfortable, we had a comfortable night sleep. Very relaxing atmosphere. Good variety of offerings at breakfast. Only negative for us, the carpet in the room and hallway was stained and looked like it needed to be replaced.

RUN DONT WALK. the 10/10 reviews cannot be real. your carpets are a disgrace FULL of stains from what i can only imagine, the smell horrendous of smoke but was blamed on a local fire, the bottom sheet worn paper thin, can't access any channels as it requires some prime pin, the old rocking chairs should be burned, the creepy hall way with nasty carpet, the huge pot hole in the parking lot. there is just no way these reviews can be real. this place is in shambles. the dog area to pet relief is not a free run space as advertised. the jacuzzi tub has nasty stuff coming out of the jets. I did not unpack nor take off my shoes, slept on the top sheet and thankfully had my own blanket with me. I would have left if it had not been close to midnight.

Hairs all over the bed and in the shower. Will not return.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating, but this property doesn't seem well maintained. Our door didn't close without a lot of effort, the toilet kept running, and out room carpet was dirty.

too many bugs. My child and aunt got bitten by something. Not sure what but there was a fly, a moth, lots of ants in the room. The hotel needs to be updated. Very dirty carpets. Management was very friendly, but I couldn’t wait to dash out of there. We couldn’t even eat breakfast because it was so limited to mini muffins.

It was ok . Sheets were dirty had to get new clean sheets at 9:30 at night

I would definitely stay here again. The room was very clean. The bed was fine. And the breakfast included potatoes and eggs, waffles, yogurt, toast, and cereal! I was concerned as I was going down the hall because the carpets are quite dated and stained, but the room was good, dated pillows and bedspread but clean. Very quiet too. The staff was wonderful.

The room smelled terrible, something like cleaning solution and mold or mildew. The rug had several stains like I've never seen before in a like I've never seen before in a hotel room, and three rips. Staff was great, but management needs to rip out those rugs. It's too bad because the hotel burned down a few years ago and they rebuilt it. You would think it would be in better shape.

place is really dated and beed a good cleaning, i get the rustic feel and look i actually like that but u can have that look and feel but be clean, the carpet in the halls was hod awful dirty and the chairs in my room ,well lets just say they scared me i mean how do u leave chairs that bad in a hotel room. i showered and walked ftom the shower to the bed and my feet looked like i was outside walking barefoot, this could be a great place just needs a little updating and a good cleaning

Charming country-style inn, with a very welcoming and friendly staff. Appreciated convenience of on-site restaurant and bar. The room was spacious and had outside porch with nice views. The porch was especially nice at night to have a glass of wine and enjoy company. We liked the close proximity to Ashland and Jacksonville where we were attending events.

This was an excellent experience!! This was my first time staying and my birthday and it was fantastic. The staff is no friendly and welcoming, the room clean, spacious and beautiful. The view is outstanding, morning breakfast buffet was a terrific start to the day.nawith great tasting foos

The AC is placed too close to the bed. It’s too loud and wakes us up every time it kicks in and we cannot turn it off because it’s too hot. We did not get enough rest because of it.

Had a great experience staying there before, this time was a little challenging primarily due to the location of our room, which was directly under where breakfast is served... lots of noise starting by 6:15, which was a bummer start to our day. The staff, especially Jeri at the front desk, were awesome!

Rooms could use some updating. Fireplace needed cleaning. Jetted tub was very nice. Beds are very comfortable. Still a great mountain lodge feel though.

Love staying here for the amenities in each room with soaking jacuzzi tub and fireplaces. Ten out of ten would recommend!

Beautiful balcony view. The hot tub and fireplace were in great working order. The room was very spacious , with a separate kitchen/living area and bedroom. They provided everything we needed for a quiet romantic getaway.

Great location and comfortable room. The jacuzzi tub was not working in my room. There were signs in the room to contact the front desk if tub wasn't working, but I was too tired to deal with it. Busy when I arrived and my room was right below the restaurant/bar area so there was a lot of noise! Once the bar closed it was very quiet. Beds were comfortable!

3 out of 3 of us had a terrible night’s sleep due to unsupportive, unlevel mattresses. If we slept comfortably, we would’ve given 5 stars for the history, ambiance, scenery & service!

Our room was #12 which is directly below the dining room. So we were awakened every morning at 6:30 am by the terrible noise from above. On our last night we were awakened at 2:30 am by the same noise. We called the front desk and complained and it got better but we could still here someone moving around above us. Additionally, the jacuzzi in our room had to be operated by getting under the bathroom sink and resetting the GFI switch. Then to turn it off we had to reverse the procedure. Also, our TV controller didn't work properly. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the entertainment very much. We would come back but definitely would ask for a different room.

Beautiful property! Staff was phenomenal and very helpful. Stuck because of a snow storm and they have made it a great experience.

The staff was so incredible!

We had a number of issues with our stay at Callahan's Mountain Lodge. It started with the fact that we had to wait for 10 to 15 minutes for someone to arrive at the front desk when we arrived. By that time, another family had arrived with all of us waiting in the lobby. The host came in with bare feet to check us in. Then 2 out of 3 of the bathroom lights were out and were not fixed before we left, even though we offered to change out the lights ourselves if they would just give us the bulbs. The worst was that the shower did not have hot water and minimal stream of water coming out of the shower head. The food in the restaurant is mediocre. I don't recommend this hotel and will not be staying there again.

The staff were extremely nice and the food at the restaurant was excellent. The rooms are very spacious and we will definitely be coming here again.

My family is doing a lot of travel through the area so this was our 3rd stay this month. Callahan's is our favorite place to stay. The staff, rooms, service and location are all top notch. I couldn't be happier reach time we stay.

Staff was very personable! Cherri went over and beyond to assist me a few times during our stay. She has great energy and professional. I thought continental breakfast ended at 10am. Jack prepared a dish of scrambled eggs for me at 10am, even though they closed. I was so impressed he went out of his way to do that! And before I departed, he filled my cooler with ice. The beds are very comfortable. A cozy stay! I will return! Thank you.

Cute place! Forgot my contact lens solution and the guy at the front desk drove 20 min to bring some back to me after his shift!

The front desk staff was rude on checking in, but the rest of the day was good and dinner was good.

This looked like a beautiful place to relax and stay the night. I feel bad that they were understaffed so check in was also managed by the bartender/waitress. She was incredibly rude and wanted us to just come back for check in because she was working in the restaurant. We waited 40 mins to check in and then wanted to eat at the restaurant and leave a big tip to help her with her day. After 20 min being the only ones there she finally said “just seat yourself”. We did and then after 10 minutes went to the lobby and got our own water. Waited another 20 mins and she still didn’t come over so we found a great restaurant on yelp to drive to. She spent her whole time chatting in the bar rather than helping customers. It also smelled really bad when entering the facility and the tried to mask it with fake pine sent.

Freeway noise on the deck outside. Not so much in the room. Beautiful spacious rooms. A forest like setting.

Great little lodge right off of interstate five. Just a quick overnighter, but I would stay here for a couple of days to enjoy the hiking and atmosphere. Also, the food was very good. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the sides were a great compliment. Would stay here again for sure.

Conveniently located just off of the Interstate. Cute decor and comfortable room. Shower temperature was a little bit challenging to get to the sweet spot. Would stay here again.

The setting is gorgeous. Very peaceful and wonderful views from our balcony.

Close to the highway but feels very secluded. Apparently the hotel was undergoing a change in management or ownership and it was noted in the overall experience.

We came to Ashland for the Theatre but wanted to stay a bit out of town. Although Callahan's was a bit more "out of town" that we had hoped, it was still great and we enjoyed the freedom of being in the hills rather than in town.

It is a beautiful place to stay right off I5 with no hassles and a great break from driving and traffic.

Older property, across from the ski hill. Hotel room had good amenities, and everything worked. Good for the price, and a quiet place to overnight outise Ashland. Good: clean, jacuzzi tub, fireplaces, coffee, mini fridge, micowave in room, DVD lending library, staff was friendly and nice. Not so good: breakfast was bagels or muffins with fruit cocktail, short-staffed, carpets were stained. Overall, good for the price. I'd stay here again, and bring my own breakfast again.

Great location surrounded by pines and, although just a few yards from the freeway, it felt like it was well away. Nice holiday decorations. Big rooms and a comfortable bed. However, the carpet was gritty, and the breakfast, which promised to start at 6:30 am, proved to be without staff (kitchen dark), hot water, or anything fresh. I had to go in search of someone to get hot water for the oatmeal packet that represented the only somewhat appealing option; all three of the dry cereals in dispensers were sugary, as were the flavored yogurts (no plain yogurt) that, upon reading the labels, would supply me with 28% of the daily recommended amount of added sugars. In fact, if anything was truly in need of change it would be the F&B. At dinner in the sparsely populated dining room, the very nice waitress seemed to be so busy that we had to grab our own menus. The “New York” steak I ordered was so tough it was inedible and also salted to within an inch of its life. (To be fair, my friend ordered the fish and chips and said they were excellent .) The wine list was disappointing; Oregon is noted for its wines but nary a one could be found on the small list. There were almost more sugary cocktails listed than wines. I would seriously consider stopping here in the summer; the porch outside my room looked enticing despite the 26 degree weather and high winds. This lodge could be a real gem with some better management!

Great customer service, beautiful balcony view! The food was excellent too.

Restaurant was out of several items early on a Saturday night. Made it a challenge to have choices if you don’t eat red meat.

We were down to breakfast more than an hour before it was scheduled to be over and there was almost no food left. There was no service at all—no one to pick up people’s dirty dishes after they left, no one to replace the food that was out. It was pitiful.

We loved the lodge itself it is beautiful. Our room was really nice with a spa tub and fireplace.The balcony and garden view were really nice. Would have been a perfect 5 star stay except, one big reason we stayed there was to enjoy the included breakfast, We called the night before and was told it ended at 930. My husband went down to get us food but they didn't have carrying trays so he brought back two coffees and went back down immediately to get food. It was 905 and they had put it all away. When I mentioned it at checkout the staff said "Oh that's because the restaurant was serving brunch, we can let you go make a bagel." My husband had already seen the eggs, waffles and potatoes and didn't want a bagel. We would have chosen to stay at a hotel in town if we were not going to be able to get breakfast and I paid more to have it included. Too bad that happened its a really pretty place.
