1st time staying at Callahans what amazing discovery. Our room was top notch and had everything that one would need. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, wow the food was amazing, the chef was top notch. 100% recommended staying here. Definitely will be going back.

The rooms were updated cabin-style; I was on the ground floor (have a dog) which gave very easy access to beautifully maintained grounds (for people with a spot for dogs too). Staff were uniformly nice, and most had obviously been there for several years. We had a light dinner on the patio with Skeeter Gal, and a lovely breakfast inside with her (rather chilly outside). All-in-all, I loved everything and will definitely return.

This lodge was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed, and the off-season price was great. The room (with jetted hot tub) was amazing. Every detail was thoughtfully seen to. From robes for the hot tub, wood stacked for a fire, and pairs wine glasses, water glasses, and coffee mugs. The balcony was so nice to sit out on in the morning sun. The restaurant food and drinks were delicious. The bed was very comfortable, and the decor was so inviting. The staff was also so notable for their friendliness and warmth, from the check-in person, to the woman who made my cocktail, to my amazing waitress. I was on my own after dropping my only child off at college, and this place was just what I needed to relax for the night. I would have loved to have stayed a week. If you're looking for a getaway in a gorgeous location, Callahan's Lodge is the place.

Our room's ceiling bulbs were very dim, there were no labels on the hvac controls, the water pressure dropped to zero one morning, and some if the window blind cords were broken, but the room was clean and spacious, the grounds were quiet and peaceful, the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of clean linens, and the minifridge had a separate, frostfree freezer compartment. The staff were courteous and friendly, and they welcomed iur dogs ($25 addl fee each per night).
