For the price the accommodation was ok the items that required attention and would not have been expensive to repair are 1 Basin in bathroom had multiple cracks and chips, this basin was also the same basin that you had to use to wash cutlery 2 mould in grout in shower 3 main mattress had metal spring protruding out the side 4 plenty of parking however the parking location was not allocated to the unit on one night our vehicle was at the other end of the complex from our unit which was a bit concerning This was further irritating as one unit residents parked across 3 car parks with the spaces in front and behind left vacant by other residents as they didn’t want to have their car damaged by the offending vehicle which was sometimes a truck leaving in the early morning

Shower was disgustingly mouldy on all walls & black mould on ceiling. Toilet paper holder almost falling off. Could not properly do dishes in undersized sink as there was no plug. Sink hole was rusty. Pool was peeling & filthy (did not go in). This property was worth $100 AT BEST. $160 was a complete rip off. Would not recommend.

Rang the overnight number and got told to see the restaurant staff and they luckily could give us a key to another room. The room was clean but dated, it was a cheap price though. The location was excellent for the Strand, easy walk along the beach to restaurants and shops.

Very poor experience. Place was dirty, hallways and adjoining room under renovation or gutted. Stained walls and furniture and mould on ceilings in both bedrooms. A roach dropped out of one of the towels when one was opened. Fan and aircon didn't work in the living room nor the dust encrusted exhaust fan in bathroom. We called to report this and no one got back to us. Only positives were the location is on the Strand and the bed was comfortable.

The property/room that we viewed and were shown online was not what we walked into. The bathroom was full of mould, there was no extra blankets for when we got cold. This was not the family room with beach views and a balcony that we paid for or what we thought we had paid for, the room we had was not value for money,

The property was priced well and right on the Strand which is what attracted me. The rooms are very dated and the walls are paper thin so cars coming and going and the next room's tv was quite annoying. Definitely value for money but the rooms could do with a lift.

This is a cozy charming place. The apartment I had (#11) was facing the ocean and had a grass private lawn. The other units not facing the ocean do not have this. Included is a basic kitchenette.

Shore drive is absolutely the best accommodation we have booked on our many trips to Townsville. The staff gonout of their way to help if possible and are very understanding of changes in plans and the comfort of their guests. Our pets are always relaxed here and our elderly mum's health needs are acknowledged and accomodated where possible. Definitely recommend this gem on the beach

Shoredrive will always be out 1st choice when staying in Townsville. It's very pet friendly, the rooms are always clean and no matter how busy they are, the staff go out of their way to be accommodating, flexible and understanding of our travel needs. Can not fault them, or praise them enough for everything they do

Didn't have a great experience here - arrived late after work and couldn't open the key safe. When I got my key, they had given me the wrong room and there was someone asleep in there! Limited parking - had to park well away from my room. Uber eats couldnt find me and nearly missed my dinner. Very basic rooms but probably ok for the price. Reasonably clean. Good location, but no views like those shown in the ads.

So turned up and there was no power for hours. Was advertised free wifi, couldnt get it to work so called them. The motel roomd are 5 star rated for cyclones so cant get wifi. No problems. Next day get a call from them asking for a $200 deposit as im a local because locals have been punching holes in the walls. They are concrete walls that you can't even get wifi through.

Reception was closed for lunch without a time when they would return (which was 2pm), then a further wait for her to check the room. Drinking glasses were dirty (lipstick marks), the wifi password was not given and when asked, I was told that the sign was "definitely in the room" - which it wasnt. Police banged on our door at 11pm to ask about a disturbance downstairs.

As far as motels go this place was great! Super clean and location was perfect for a one night stay. We also had our dog with us and they were super accommodating. Happy with the price and staff were super friendly. Recommend to all :)

The motel is in an excellent position on the northern end of the Strand. Parked 2 kms up the road in an all day parking spot to catch the ferry to Magnetic Island. Terrific value!

The Shoredrive is a very basic motel on the Strand - very nice location but the room was very basic and dated. We loved being across from the playground and the cafe on the corner served nice food and coffee. The room itself could use some renovating, the beds were okay, but the pillows were flat like a pancake and made for a very uncomfortable sleep. The bathroom was okay but old and needed renovating (chipped sink, shower curtain made the whole shower very dark and dingy, shower was old school and hard to get water temp right though the pressure was good) and on top of that the whole room had tiny ants everywhere that got into our luggage and bags. Lastly, there it was noisy from about 6AM - garbage trucks coming in to the skips beside our room, people yelling, just overall not a relaxing stay. There was also no Do Not Disturb sign to put out, so they entered our room just to replace 2 towels which we didn't require for a 2 night stay.

Everything was so wonderful! The customer service was brilliant, the cocktails were lovely and the location was perfect. The motel is a bit dated but it wasn’t an issue for us. We were only in the room to sleep and walked everywhere or used the electric scooters.
