Everything is just barely okay, it's not incredibly dirty but also not very clean. Several days bins weren't emptied and shower not cleaned. Staff isn't motivated to do a decent job and no one checks their work. Most of the curtains in the room were broken, mattresses on the bed are covered in plastic (like in prisons) so they are noisy and hot to sleep on. Lots of smokers outside day and night, mostly young men who seem to hang out all day. You are not allowed to bring in outside food or drink and there are no cooking facilities so be prepared to eat all your meals out or eat in the pricey cafe on site. The hostel charges for everything, even bag storage if you arrive before check in time. £3 per bag. While the hostel is in a nice location it's not worth the money.

The location of the hostel is fantastic in that it is in a beautiful park and in a very safe neighbourhood. It is at the top of a pretty steep hill (if approaching from the North). The lounge area can get a bit cramped as there is only one. The washrooms are tight but work - though the water cut out several times for myself and others during showers/brushing teeth. The expedia advertisement states a gym (though now looking through other websites' listing they don't) - but it doesn't have a gym. WiFi works okay, I didn't try the breakfast.

Stayed over a few nights. The purposes of choosing this hostel suppose to be economic and try to save up some costs. Firstly laugh or any kicthen, just a few desks if you prefer est in rather spend lots of money est out. Foods are no allow in the room, also no hot water and microwave as well. Personal experiances - Highly recommended some where else as in their are charging a huge price for your storage cost. And the unfriendly front desk staff no even giving the right trainning to give the right information. 3 of us are struggling for the expensive storages charges and actually there are a 2 pounds locker services which they never telling us. And the lady are refusing to admitted even we find out this information with a "no care" attitude. If you are after a nice quiet evironment, this is a good place to sleep but not a good customer friendly and warm welcome positive place for your holiday if this is the case!! Could be cheap cost for sleep at this hostel but when adding the storage cost if you got some baggages, some where else could be better!

Mo and Sara exceptionally helpful. Mo talked me through directions using google maps at midnight as I was lost. The dorms are spacious compared to other accomodation. You get what you pay for. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The challenge is getting a car to the property and parking near the property. The closed parking is like 3 mins walk away and they are all resident-only parking.

Really enjoyed my stay. I did have a 4 bed dorm to myself so not sure what it would have been like if I'd have shared as this was my first hostel experience. Staff were really nice and the facilities were great. Nice surroundings and very chilled vibe. Would definitely stay again

Two different buildings accommodate the visitors: a one-storey demure block, and a two-storey mansion. However, the biggest concern i had witnessed was in the restaurant: i love the huge space to accommodate the guests; i love the convenient walk to the nearby lavatory; but what I cannot stomach is the mouse infestation i managed to video. The maximum stay is 14 days, after which rebooking is prohibited for three months. I'd love to give it another shot, but that's a long shot.

I had a pleasant stay however my biggest problem was the mice infestation. It was an unbearable and wierd experience. That's also very unhealthy and unsaintary for your guests. Besides that everything thing else was good and pleasant staff.

Iv been stying here for 12 years and never had to complain before..showers in femal ensuite dirm bot working..shoulhave been made clear before or a partial refund offered...also floors are dirty, especially under the beds.just stayed one night and iv got three bed bug bites..room need a deep clean..very disappointed

Me and my friend stayed in a 6 person mixed dorm and it was so dirty… my sheets were brown. And the toilets were the worst, looked like they never got cleaned. Staff was very nice tho but I won’t recommend this to anyone!

From the night I arrived, I kept getting bug bites while in the reception area and bathroom. I reported it to the staff and send photos of the bites as they suggested to management. Didn’t hear anything for two days. I was scratching so badly and couldn’t sleep well because of the bites and woke up in the middle of the night to find a huge bed it crawling on my shirt. I immediately went to reception to report it and they assigned me a new bed in the same room. I assumed they would fumigant or take down the curtain next to my bed which I told them I suspected was were the bugs were living. Later that night when going to bed, I noticed they had assigned the bed to someone else and the curtain was still up. So they clearly don’t care about addressing the issue properly. I suspect they also have bugs in the reception area too as anytime I send along a wall, I had several new bites. I learned to sit in the middle of the room after that. Management didn’t apologize for the trouble. Besides the biting issue which turned my dream vacation to London into a nightmare, the wi-do didn’t reach the room in which I was staying so had to stay near reception tk use it. Mark on the staff was very nice and quite helpful through my ordeal. Had breakfast one morning and that was good. Property is quite and occasional the opera next door has a performance and you can hear it from the courtyard. Great location and easy to reach bus lines and tube stations. Was able to go over all the city from here

I book a stay for a night since I'm gonna be watching a concert. The area is a bit hard to locate since it's located inside a park. The staff were helpful. I completely forgot to bring my passport with me (good thing was the man who's in the front desk was being understanding and accepted the photo and my e-visa). The size of the bed is fine for a single person you just need to be careful with your head if you're on the lower bunk bed. The bed and the sheets were clean. The floor is a bit dirty the time I checked in though (I need to sit on the floor to sort the things out of my bag since you can't sit on your bed with your upper body straight. There's only 1 toilet with shower on our floor but then, you can go to other toilets. I'm having a bit of a problem with the shower since there's no thermostat and I find the water way too hot for me.

This is a hostel and we were required to provide photo ID (passport/driving license) on arrival which were NOT stated in any hotels.com literature provided. Usually in the UK you are never required to carry these documents but luckily we had passport photocopies available on email on our phones. Staff were fine, location was great, room was noisy as underneath a multi-occupancy hostel room with people arriving and clomping about until all-hours.

Great hostel, really nice area. We stayed in a 4 bed en suite and it was a good sized room. We were provided with our own towels and kettle. The outside area is lovely. Would stay here again

Property not well maintained and needs updating. Person at today’s check in was quite rude. I checked in around 9 pm and asked him for directions to nearby places to eat. He just said go out and either turn right or left and walk 3 minutes. I asked for more detail than that since I am new to the area and he did not answer, just ignored me and started attending to another customer and did not bother to answer me. When I reminded him that he had not answered me, he got upset and told me I was being rude and will be reported!

This place was very accommodating and even went the extra mile to accommodate me given my disability. I was super impressed with the staff and their courteous behaviour towards me as a Deaf person. This says a lot about this establishment and their selection of staff. This has to be by far one of the best places I have stayed in to date for their kindness and friendliness towards deaf people. It’s a big deal for someone like me. The only complaint I would have is the other occupants of the room being chaotic with their dumping of bags right next to the beds so I would have to navigate them in the middle of the night. This aside I have rated as fairly as I can.

Our booking was cancelled upon arrival allegedly due to payment error. I received no such notice from Hotels.com and neither in the app - where the booking was still visible as active. I spend one hour at the check in sorting this out and needing then to make a new booking. A mess in the reservations and not very friendly receptionist who showed little understanding. I will not return to this property and dont recommend it.

Excellent location for shops, transport and the park for a walk. The staff I met were very nice and helpful. The social area was great with lots of room etc. and the facilities in/for the dorms were good. I wish there were notices (on the walls or on the paperwork), however, asking people to be considerate of others. Playing games on telephones/eating noisily are no fun for others at well past midnight when you're trying to sleep. It's bad enough with snorers!

Really enjoyed my stay. I did have a 4 bed dorm to myself so not sure what it would have been like if I'd have shared as this was my first hostel experience. Staff were really nice and the facilities were great. Nice surroundings and very chilled vibe. Would definitely stay again

I had booked a night having stayed a bit late after work in London but was refused to stay as didnt have a passport or driving license, even though i had a digital valid Totum student card and a work photo ID. Who carries their passport or license to work!! As if someone if a driver license is more reliable than other forms of ID.

This is a small hostel located in the middle of a very large park. They don’t provide any directions. There are two total entrances Hyde park each a long walk to find the property which is not easily located. The one entrance is a steep hill that bikers are going up and down. It’s unsafe and dark even in the daytime. The park near it is beautiful. The rooms are poorly ventilated and the beds are not appropriate for anyone with disabilities or that are short. They will book you without saying this even if you ask questions and they won’t accommodate you or work with you on a refund after you arrive and discover this. I hope they let me post photos. When I arrive there were so many people with disabilities and ambulation issues in the lobby begging for refunds and water because it was hot and difficult to find in a national park. They should be ashamed of themselves and so should Expedia for allowing them to continue booking people without these warnings posted.

Everything is just barely okay, it's not incredibly dirty but also not very clean. Several days bins weren't emptied and shower not cleaned. Staff isn't motivated to do a decent job and no one checks their work. Most of the curtains in the room were broken, mattresses on the bed are covered in plastic (like in prisons) so they are noisy and hot to sleep on. Lots of smokers outside day and night, mostly young men who seem to hang out all day. You are not allowed to bring in outside food or drink and there are no cooking facilities so be prepared to eat all your meals out or eat in the pricey cafe on site. The hostel charges for everything, even bag storage if you arrive before check in time. £3 per bag. While the hostel is in a nice location it's not worth the money.

As a woman, I recommend the 6 or 8 female bed dorms. Don't stay in the mixed dorms. A man tried getting in bed with me, then, when I kicked him out, he got in a bed with a guy who would have none of it! I liked Megan's Cafe nearby and trying out the Holland Opera which is next door. Great Charity Shops nearby! I walked to the hostel all hours of the night, safely, with no problems.

Overall this a good value. The location is quite nice and allow for easy exploration of the city. The room and bathroom were clean and functional. But the room was very snug. One cannot expect much more for such a low price in a very expensive part of an expensive city. But still I find it worth mentioning. There was a small restaurant but no kitchen. There are gardens and indoor common areas. Definitely a good value overall and a good location.

Stayed over a few nights. The purposes of choosing this hostel suppose to be economic and try to save up some costs. Firstly laugh or any kicthen, just a few desks if you prefer est in rather spend lots of money est out. Foods are no allow in the room, also no hot water and microwave as well. Personal experiances - Highly recommended some where else as in their are charging a huge price for your storage cost. And the unfriendly front desk staff no even giving the right trainning to give the right information. 3 of us are struggling for the expensive storages charges and actually there are a 2 pounds locker services which they never telling us. And the lady are refusing to admitted even we find out this information with a "no care" attitude. If you are after a nice quiet evironment, this is a good place to sleep but not a good customer friendly and warm welcome positive place for your holiday if this is the case!! Could be cheap cost for sleep at this hostel but when adding the storage cost if you got some baggages, some where else could be better!

From the night I arrived, I kept getting bug bites while in the reception area and bathroom. I reported it to the staff and send photos of the bites as they suggested to management. Didn’t hear anything for two days. I was scratching so badly and couldn’t sleep well because of the bites and woke up in the middle of the night to find a huge bed it crawling on my shirt. I immediately went to reception to report it and they assigned me a new bed in the same room. I assumed they would fumigant or take down the curtain next to my bed which I told them I suspected was were the bugs were living. Later that night when going to bed, I noticed they had assigned the bed to someone else and the curtain was still up. So they clearly don’t care about addressing the issue properly. I suspect they also have bugs in the reception area too as anytime I send along a wall, I had several new bites. I learned to sit in the middle of the room after that. Management didn’t apologize for the trouble. Besides the biting issue which turned my dream vacation to London into a nightmare, the wi-do didn’t reach the room in which I was staying so had to stay near reception tk use it. Mark on the staff was very nice and quite helpful through my ordeal. Had breakfast one morning and that was good. Property is quite and occasional the opera next door has a performance and you can hear it from the courtyard. Great location and easy to reach bus lines and tube stations. Was able to go over all the city from here

Awful experience. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Did not make me or my guests feel safe staying here. Corridor was flooded, Blood all over the bathroom and left there for hours. This is the worse hostel. The water in the shower was scalding. The staff did nothing. There was no toilet paper. The room had a very small window and no air came through. I will NEVER go there again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!
