Stayed 2 nights

I returned to the hostel after a long break. I used to love it a lot ... but then saw many bad reviews. However, reviews have generally improved over past month or so. I was quite happy with my stay. Clean room & staff were friendly, ESPECIALLY a young Italian lady who was so helpful, when she was in during day hours. Only problem is that, I, like many previous guestswho were very unhappy, also found that, on arrival I was moved to a different room from my booking - which is apparently !! under maintenance. I especially was not happy with the change to a room with no en-suite bathroom (from what I had booked!). This was changed on my request! (I understand that some previous reviewers were NOT allowed to question their new room! Further, charging an extra £2 per night for a bottom bed is definitely a first-time ever experience... after staying 40+ hostels in over 10 countries. It does not make sense at all ... !!

Awful experience. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Did not make me or my guests feel safe staying here. Corridor was flooded, Blood all over the bathroom and left there for hours. Rooms were unclean, no running water, showers and toilets were disgusting. Utterly disappointing. Did not even stay the night

This is the worse hostel. The water in the shower was scalding. The staff did nothing. There was no toilet paper. The room had a very small window and no air came through. I will NEVER go there again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!
