Had to valet park our car 1/2 mile away even though the hotel seemed to be half empty. Casino with noisy video gaming machines all over the lobby was annoying. Room service was not available even though there was a room service menu in the room.

The room was huge! And very clean! The staff was very nice. In a great location. Just a Heads up, we use a fan to sleep, or in a hotel we use the air conditioner for noise, but the air/heat was not like the normal ones. It was a thermostat on the wall so it was very quiet. But I would definitely stay there again!

The room was clean, but it seems to me the beds are very old and so are the pillows. So it was not a very comfortable night sleep. Staff was very friendly. We did have a big bubble in our ceiling that looked to be full of water, so that was a little disconcerting.

When we checked in, the registration clerk said "they" had over booked the 2 queen bed rooms and the only thing they had available was a VIP suite with 1 king bed or a smoking room with 2 queen bedd. We are a family of 4 so had to take the smoking room. The room was clean, but smelled like an ashtray. Disappointed. Also we were on the first floor right on main Street and the noise of very loud vehicles woke us up several times. The staff was wonderful about giving us a ride to the rodeo grounds and picking us back up so we didn't have to drive.

Our room was noisy (the window did not seal so all the road noise came right in). The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, the bed skirts had spill stains on them, and the pillows were horrible.

Mineral Palace is in an old historic hotel. It has been renovated, probably, 40 years ago and is definitely worn around the edges. The rooms need an update desperately. Great location, though!

We booked a smoking room with two queen beds, but they didn’t have it available so upgraded us to the presidential suite. It wasn’t a smoking room and they told us we could smoke on the balcony. Problem was - there was no balcony! Although the warm turnovers and free pop and water were nice, the room was so loud we couldn’t sleep! Must be an air conditioning unit on the roof that made the whole room shake!

The staff was extremely helpful. They took their time an answered our questions. Mark was just wonderful with my wife as she uses a walker. He went out of his way to help. The room was great and very clean. The mattress need to be replaced the pillow s were worn out flat no use for them. Housekeeping was on their job. Connie was great, she attended to my wife's needs while she was gaming. Overall we had a great time. It was our anniversary of 53 years. The restaurant was not what it used to be. I think their is a different chef the food was not good. We sent it back, the waitresses gave us the bill took off $3.15 of a 40.00 bill. We did not complain paid the bill and left. All that said we would stay again. Because of the staff that took care of us.

We had a very nice day in this downtown boutique hotel, where it was close to everything, the room was clean, the little chocolates at night were nice, they cleaned our room on day number three, had dinner at the Jim steakhouse twice and had a nice steak dinner And Gabby the waitress was very nice, had breakfast there twice and would recommend the food, Savanna, the hostess, Kelly insecurity, Marc and Dana at the front desk were always accommodating and nice, and we would return for sure !

Check-in was a adventure. They had us down as a no show and said they tried calling. (No missed calls from them) we checked in at 11:30pm stayed for 4 nights. The valet was very helpful be part of the stay.

Night clerk was very grumpy. We checked in late and parking was full. Clerk saint that we could park in garage and he would validate our parking ticket. We parked in garage came back to have ticket validated and he said he wouldn't validate it because he had to do it before we parked. Morning clerk did take care of us and was very professional.

We had a great time. Mark at the front desk was very helpful. The place was clean the room was conformable. My wife was able to get around with her walker. Thoughout the property she was a happy camper. We have stayed in several hotels in deadwood. We will for sure return here. Everyone treated us as if we were family. Connie, she took good care to see to my wifes needs while on the floor gaming.

I was right in the middle of town and everything was close and able to walk easily to shopping and other attractions. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay there again when I go back.

Clean rooms. Casino was very clean. Restaurant was only fair for a steak place. Fish had no flavor. Wait staff was very good. Bartender was absolutely terrific in the casino. She was very friendly and fun! Overall a great location to stay.

I really was impressed with the restaurant excellent food. I loved the casino on the premises with card games instead of all slot games. Both restaurant and casino right close without having to walk outside to get to them. Beautiful location right in the downtown gorge on main street. Right across the street from the saloon Wild Bill Hikcock used to frequent during the late 1800s.

The check-in staff need more training and an attitude upgrade. I love the upgrades. Fridge, freezer, microwave, safe! We had excellent cleaning staff! Valets, check-out ( Mathais) was excellent.The Dissapointed in the caliber of service and food at the Gem. Have had excellent staff and food in the past. Not this time. Only ate there once. We will be returning in August, 2025 for our annual vacation❣ Thank You!

The front desk folks are not the most friendly. When we checked in, it was fine, they called for the valet to get us parked, but then you learn that access to your car later can be a problem. Plus, if you leave and come back later in the evening, the valet is gone and all that’s available is overflow parking, which is blocks away. Street parking is restricted, or is pay by meter. The room itself was okay, but the Gem restaurant was lackluster in service as well. The whole operation is poorly staffed.

We had a wonderful time. Breakfast was very tasty and with free mimosas plus a discount just for staying at this hotel, who could ask for more. The casino was enjoyable but no winners in our group.

It was a fun(casino)and clean hotel! Friendly front desk workers and bartenders! The coffee in the lobby was very good with 3 creamers to choose from! The water pressure in the shower was also amazing! I was glad they had a fridge and microwave in the room. The breakfast in the hotels restaurant was average. I would definitely recommend and stay again!
