Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an - Hyatt Inclusive Collection - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The resort was quite, us in our 30s joked about it being the 65 community with only a few visitors being 40s and under. The resort being away from the beach was a nice change as the buildings are spread out through the jungle a bit making for a peaceful stay. The complex as a whole is massive, maybe largest in Quintana Roo? We never got to everything, probably needed a 2 week stay for that. Couple of the other resorts were a younger population but disapeared by 10pm. We often had to cross the road as so many things we were wanting to do were on the other resorts. Shuttle is convenient until maybe 10pm then we had long wait times from Hacienda to come back to our resort, maybe 30 min a couple nights. I would suggest having the first shuttle radio for you're ride as it seemed to never come otherwise. Biggest drawback for us i think was the dinners. We were auto booked 5 dinners, 3 japanese (same one 2 of those times) and 2 others. We had issues with the app getting in to change times and even 10 days in advace was nearly impossible to get a dinner we would like. Front desk did get us into one of the restaurants we all wanted to go to while there. Most dinners were after 8pm as we couldn't change so missed most of the shows. 2nd drawback for us was the staff didn't seem to have the best English. Had a lot of mix ups in ordering drinks and food when asking to deviate from the exact menu listing. Not a huge deal, we just dont speak much spanish (working on it slowly).

The property had very lush vegetation and was very well kept and decorated throughout the trip. Everyone working there was very kind and helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat. It is very easy to get around to other resorts due to the transportation system. The beaches and pools were gorgeous and well kept as well!

Overall, we enjoyed the property. It's certainly far from the beach but the carts that the resort offers for going/coming are great. As usual, the service from the staff is what makes coming to this places worth visiting. We are definitively staying again.

Isabell and Camila with customer service were very helpful. The food and service at the resort is excellent. We were very disappointed that we paid for a Junior Suite Superior which is advertised as 603sq ft but were assigned a smaller regular Junior Suite 495 sq ft. After 5 days of discussions with the front desk we were finally moved to a 603 sq ft room. It was very unpleasant to deal with and a poor start to our vacation. There is construction directly behind some of the buildings and the gas powered leaf blower starts up about 7:30 every morning. Sleeping in was out of the question. There is also major construction going on at the Akumal section which is where the Sian Kaan beach section is so very noisy there. The infinity pool at Akumal was a lovely place to spend our days. The carts ran regular to shuttle you to the beach or a la carte restaurants at the other sections of the resort. Other than not getting the room we paid for it was a good vacation.

Everything was great about our stay here!! I love that they have a lot of dining options. And a lot of activities daily in the am and pm. I am definitely coming back again. Love that you can go to the other sister hotels for dining or the beach area.

This hotel is only a “branch” of what’s offered. Bahia Principe has a couple of other locations that are interconnected here and the best part is, that you can enjoy their amenities even if you aren’t staying at the hotel! Their location is great. You’re staying in the jungle and still get to reconnect with nature. Food was delicious at their buffet and they even have a 24-hour restaurant that also had great food. There’s so much to do here, and would 1000% stay here again. My only downside is that I wish there was more advertisement on the events or shows happening. They have an awesome app, and maybe it was just for me but it wouldn’t load any information. If there are postings of scheduled events/shows that would be awesome. And if there was, maybe front desk can include this during check-in. Like I mentioned, there was so much to do and having this information available makes it incredibly easy to plan. Instead of finding out last minute. :) this hotel was truly a great experience and would recommend it to anyone. It is right in the middle of Tulum and Cancun but secluded enough to avoid the high traffic of tourists. Theres wildlife roaming the area which is a great plus for anyone looking to reconnect with nature.

We have stayed at Bahía Príncipe Sian Kaan several times. The property has gone downhill. The furniture and window treatments are worn. The rooms are spotlessly clean however and for the most part the service was excellent. The food and drinks are not what they used to be. Other than Alux the specialty dining wasn’t up to its previous standards. The Sian kaan beach bar is closed by 430 pm which is far too early. Beach chairs are limited unless you get there early. The new Sian kaan beach is rocky. At its greatest depth the water was below my waist. I won’t be returning.

The staff was outstanding. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly with answering any questions I had, and they were very clear with everything. Our servers were amazing. Antonio and Ramon at the buffet in Sian Kaan we’re super awesome and took great care of us! Pedro at the front helping with bags and scheduling a taxi was super awesome and friendly. Viktor was an activities director and hosted a Zumba class and was super fun and upbeat and personal. I can’t spell it very well but ireli led us on a really fun bike tour. The rooms were cleaned well and everything was very clean and taken care of all around the property. The food was great and the restaurants were an awesome experience each night for dinner! The shuttle going from each Bahia resort to the others was super cool and pretty quick. We forgot to book the shuttle to and from the airport days in beforehand so we had to take a taxi, which was a little expensive 110 USD one way. We didn’t book any excursions but we were never bored because there was so many fun things to do!

We have been coming to Sian Kaan for 10 years. It is our favorite resort complex!! The food and service is UNMATCHED. I cannot reiterate this enough. You won't find better service. It has stayed consistent over the last 10 years. The rooms at Sian could use some upgrading. That is my only note. The grounds and pools are excellent.

Property was clean

We had an unfortunate situation where we had a sewage explosion in our room around midnight. The staff were unfortunately not very helpful and we had to clean it ourselves with our own towels. The next morning they said there was nothing that could be done for us. They offered a half price massage if I gave a good review anyways. It was a short trip so it really changed the tone of the trip for us. Otherwise we liked the food and quiet stay.

This was our fourth time visiting this resort since 2011 and it will be our last. They did not honor our Platinum VIP status with Expedia and made us pay $90 USD to upgrade to a ground level room with an outside bathtub. The room smelled very strongly of mold, and we both started feeling sick the first night we stayed. There was no VIP bottle of spirits or any of the other perks we should have received as Platinum VIP status guests. We were told they have no affiliation with Expedia. We were planning to do a late checkout but the mold situation was so bad we left early. We had to wash everything twice when we got home, including our suitcases to get the mold smell out and are still not feeling well. The food was fine, pools nice, but we won’t be coming back.

Air con is set, changing is an illusion but it stayed cool enough. The property is beautiful and the staff is super friendly. The accommodation was roomy, comfy, and clean. The food was good considering it’s an all inclusive. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend this resort.

We are frequent guests at the Bahia principe sian kaan having stayed 10 times at the sian kaan and 20plus times at Bahia principe. This was by far the most disappointing stay. The property is in need of renovation.the rooms are not cleaned properly (dirty floors, towels left in a pile in the landing for days, dishes from room service left out for days, old worn out linens). I reviewed the condition after checkin as disappointing and was harassed verbally by a guest services rep, who showed up at dinner demanding that I tell him what the problem was (very aggressive demanding why I gave a negative review). We received a fruit basket and a bottle of sparkling wine after this encounter but it was a harassing incident at the restaurant. Our best experience was at the buffet where service continues to be outstanding. Most of our days were spent on the Akumal side where the pools were cleaner and the meals were better. Our a la carte experiences were good, however the quality of food served has declined. Employees are working hard at the restaurants, but management and especially guest services reps need to make the guests feel welcome, not intimidated. Definitely not the experience we’ve had in previous visits. Time for an update of the property and of the management. The day before we left we were cut off from room access (they said the battery on the lock had died) and wifi was cut off. The room on the day before leaving was not cleaned, appeared that we were no longer guests

It was nice enough but I probably would not book again. The room was not fully clean upon entering and the Jacuzzi on our roof was also dirty. The staff was nice and they did clean it but it was not the best first impression.

First time to this area of Mexico. Staff are very pleasant. Room was clean but didbhave that wet musty smell. Pools were very clean. Entertainment guides were very fun and energetic.

My stay at Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an from October 11-13 was marred by several issues. The room had bugs, and when I raised this concern, they offered to fumigate, which was not a pleasant solution. The quality of food was disappointing, as they served recycled leftovers repeatedly. The transportation within the resort using the trolley system was time-consuming, taking 20-30 minutes to reach amenities. The jacuzzi showed signs of rust, and upon arrival, a strong paint smell was present. My friends and I had planned to celebrate their anniversary and another friend's birthday, but due to these issues, we were all compelled to leave early. Our overall experience was far from luxury.

The property was awesome, just a bit too much walking for me. The rooms and infrastructure itself could be updated. The mattresses must be replaced and the hot tubs in the penthouse should be updated as well.

It was freezing so I called the concierge and they told me the heat didn’t work. I don’t enjoy being cold at night so I was cold and stuffy. My room also didn’t have a tub and I like to take baths on vacation. I had to let the hot water run for 15 minutes. All in all a great stay but some hiccups.

Loved the roof top jacuzzi we had as part of our room...sunshine by day, starlight by night.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Though it does need to be stated there are no elevators because there are quite a few stairs to the 3rd floor

The property was fine, but not what I was expecting. First, I booked this hotel for the garden suite based on the pics of a secluded garden hot tub and private lounging area. The pictures were not an accurate representation of the space AT ALL. There is no privacy or secluded area. The hot tub was very much in the open for all other guests or staff to see, so we never even the space. When we got to the room I called downstairs to ask why it looked nothing like the pictures and was told “we don’t control what pictures Expedia uses.” The room was ok. The bed wasn’t great, pillows were awful and towels were scratchy. The thermostat in the room never dropped below 22 C (71.6 F), no matter how low we set it. Most times the temp was between 22.5-23.5 C (72.5-74.3F). It legitimately took 10 minutes for the shower to come to temp. None of this was terrible, but it’s also not “luxury.” The service at the hotel was NOT what I’ve come to expect from travel in Mexico. I return to Mexico again and again for the genuine warmth and hospitality of the people. While several of the staff members were very nice, there was a general apathy and even curtness among many members, especially front desk. Several times I asked about amenities or logistics and was either given the wrong info or flat out told “I don’t know” with no attempt to find out. The property is beautiful, quiet, & safe. Pools are stunning. Food was fine. Overall it was fine but I won’t stay there again.

Its a beautiful property a little dated rooms weren't as cool until the sun went down. Bet the staff was very kind and helpful. I would revisit and recommend this place to family and friends.

The property is nice.. the rooms could be updated and cleaned a little better. For this to be a 5 star resort I was expecting the room to be a little cleaner.

Notified star experience. Not one staff member knows anything that’s happening on the property. They don’t even know where the buffet time begins or ends.

Overall, we enjoyed the facilities and the a la carte restaurants. That said, I was unable to sign into their app that you need to use to book the a la carte restaurant so booking them was a disaster and the Guest Services team was unable to help solve the issue

The staff all went out of their way to go above and beyond and they really helped us with our shuttle issues from another company.

This was my first time to Mexico, I will start by saying, We Will Be Back. For the hotel, the staff was exceptionally friendly. I would suggest seeking out Eduardo in the main lobby. Very knowledgeable friendly and helpful, but everyone was. We were at the back of the complex, near the party pool. All of the guests were friendly, polite and everyone seemed to get along well. The hotel was very clean and tidy. We ate mainly at the Cenote Snack bar, because it was convenient, and the food selection was quite adequate. In fact, the hotel was the only place we ate. There are more options, but we didnt need them. Quite frankly, we never made it in 5 days to anywhere else, because we were quite content at the hotel. We did take Eduardo's advice and go to Chichen Itza...that needs a whole review to itself! My only real suggestion is take plenty of cash. We like to tip, and getting cash from atms never happened because all our credit cards have securities on them even after informing all of them we were going. We could use the cards, but at no point in 9 attempts were we able to pull cash either from credit nor debit cards. We were there 7Nov to 13Nov, personally being a shoulder month, it was beautiful, not to hot but not cold either. It did rain a coupke of days, but temps in upper 70s to low 80s made the rain pleasant and enjoyable.

Great service from Faustino, Anata, Camila from Guest Experience, and Ana. They truly made our stay enjoyable very attentive and welcoming!

Our room was right above the bar and our whole room vibrated every night until 11:00. During the day all we could here was a loud clunking from the HVAC. We went for a peaceful getaway and were miserable. The pictures are deceiving. We were nowhere near the beach. The room itself was nice but the noise ruined our entire vacation. The cleaning staff was great. Very nice and friendly. They tried to sell us a timeshare the entire trip. Every time we went through the lobby we had someone coming up to us to sell their timeshare. We will never go to another Bahia principe property again.

The lobby staff was amazing!!! Especially Camila and Armando and Rodrigo with guest services they were absolutely amazing. Everything at the resort was outstanding and great, food, the experience, staff, hotel room everything was amazing. I will definitely be coming back with my family.

When we arrived they had our room in the club house area, which was away from the resort, nothing in the area, the pool was under construction. Didn’t like the room, so I had them give has another room outside the pool area in the main resort. The resort room was hot, the AC didn’t blow cool throughout the day. So if you wanted to take a nap you would sweat and be uncomfortable. FYI no beach you have to take a shuttle to another resort Akmul to enjoy the beach. We definitely wouldn’t recommend this resort, unless you are older and just want to do nothing but lounge around.

I likes everything, food, property, which like in the middle of the jungle. Adult only beach very safe to swim at any weather condition, because it has stone jetty / walls. To go on the beach, you have to take a shuttle. They have a small outdoor gum, it called jungle gum. Cell phone service not good inside of the room. You have to go lobby or find spots around pools for better service.

Bahia Principe Sian Kahn is a well kept property. The ala carte dining reservation process puts last minute travelers at a disadvantage to book. The trolley says it runs every 10 minutes but this is untrue. It’s more like every 30 minutes. The restaurants were inconsiderate when we arrived late due to the trolleys. The restaurants eventually accommodated us but made it seem as though we were inconveniencing them. The app needs some updates to allow space for the guests to enter modifications to the food items. It was an ordeal to get french toast with no strawberries on it and a side of bacon. In two attempts on two different days, the kitchen never got it right.

Fantastic staff. Great evening entertainment. Would look at staying at one of the other properties closer to the beach next time.

Loved the staff and the amenities, The Mediterranean restaurant and the 24/7 restaurant were God awful, but the Japanese and the seafood place were incredible. Very positive experience overall especially for a first timer. Would go back. The property was a tad bit outdated, but still good.

I liked that it was adult only! The shuttle system is wonderful, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes and most times the shuttle driver dropped us right in front of whichever restaurant we had booked. Of all the choices for a la carte restaurants, I was disappointed that only two would be somewhere I would go back to. The buffet was somewhat predictable and unfortunately most of the entrees were lukewarm or downright cold. Having said that we always found something to eat. The staff however were amazing! Friendly, helpful, always available if we had questions. Also Mariana at the Bahia excursion desk was outstanding. She made sure we knew exactly what to expect on each excursion we booked and we were never disappointed. The

Property needs to be upgraded , why come on vacation to have back pain from extremely uncomfortable bed , horrible small sleeping pillows. Jacuzzi room is a complete lie. Don’t let the pictures fool you jacuzzi is outside in the bushes, not usable smells HORRIBLE. Security watches you like a hawk , felt very restricted not free and friendly . Drinks are horrible watered down and super sweet. The food is the only thing that was really enjoyable. There are options for everyone. Will not be returning

All of the shared properties as well as ours at Sian Ka'an was super nice and all of the staff and facilities were super nice. The Sian Ka'an was very quiet and relaxed atmosphere compared to the other resorts if that matters to you. The Akumal and Tulum were more update and festive. Only negative for us was the food at the buffet style restaraunts as well as the 24 hour restaraunt was a little bit of a let down. Might be fine to others just didn't live up to what we were expecting. Overall, it was a positive experience.

The resort was great you have access to everything services was great staff was great always there to greet you and make sure stay was going well. On the other hand the food wasn’t good you have to make the best of it while you’re there.

We loved this resort the food needs to change its horrible at sian kann but the other resorts food was better … other than the food and the beverages the sodas taste weird every kind u get and the food choices was terrible
