The Victoria

The hotel details stated 'limited' on-site car parking. There was none but we did find on street parking. Details also stated that breakfast, lunch and dinner were available in the conservatory however, they omitted the information that the hotel is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so no food, drink or staff were available. The room was small with limited storage but it was very clean - I wouldn't describe the accommodation as 'luxury', but was more functional. We ate in the restaurant one night and the meal was excellent as was the service. Good accessibility to public transport. We probably wouldn't stay again.

No air conditioning just awful

Nice pub hotel on a very quiet residential area of Richmond. There is no onsite car park, we had to Park on the road. The car was fine. Staff were efficient and very pleasant. Rooms were very nicely decorated & clean. Bottled water supplied in room along with tea and coffee. Lovely big fluffy white towels in the bathroom. Bathroom lighting was a bit on the dim side and were on the small side however they were nicely decorated and very clean. Continental breakfast included and could pay extra for a cooked breakfast. We did both - no complaints with either. My only complaints was not being able to see out of the windows due to the privacy protection (to be fair that wasn’t a view) and we were in room 3 which was by a noisy extractor so couldn’t open the window for fresh air due to the noise. All I’m all a pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again

BEWARE: No off-street Parking and NO BREAKFAST on Mon and Tue. I really wish I could have given The Victoria five stars. On paper it's good value for money. HOWEVER, we were only staying one night and I needed three things: 1. Free parking 2. Breakfast in the morning 3. Low price. When we arrived, we were told that the carpark has been shut "for quite a while." (It's still listed in all the advertisements,) Thankfully, we found adequate street parking. Then we were told that they WOULDN'T be providing the free breakfast because the pub is closed Monday and Tuesday mornings. Our receipt specifically said "Breakfast included." We found ways around both of these problems, but there was NO concern from the manager about the incorrect advertising. In fact, we got little more than a grunt from her. The room itself is very tidy, and had good linens and toiletries. They provided lovely bottles of water. Sadly, we had to walk through the pub which smelled of other people's old fish dinners. A kind word from the staff would have made all the difference here. We might have eaten in the pub. If they'd been surprised and apologetic that we were misled I would have easily been mollified. But we were a nuisance. I'd even sent an email before our trip to ask about parking and breakfast and there has been no answer. I love small businesses and wish I could support this one. Better training and management (and accurate advertising) would make this place a real gem

Nestled in a beautiful residential area but still walkable to Richmond. Staff is warm & friendly; Frederica is the best. Excellent common areas: expansive garden & gazebo room for meals. Parking on street is no problem. Rooms are satisfactory.

What a find! Absolutely gorgeous little place. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, especially as we were later checking in than planned and feeling stressed out and tired! The bedroom and en suite were spotless, modern, and quiet, and there was a floor standing fan provided to keep us cool. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast was superb, we opted for the continental; it was fresh and plentiful. Wish we could have stayed longer - will definitely return and have already recommended to family and friends.

Lovely accommodation with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The continental breakfast was delicious. For the purposes of our trip to London the Victoria was a convenient location. I would definitely recommend and should we need to stay in the area again I would stay here.

This is a lovely property. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. I've scored it lower for a few reasons. There's no air conditioning - there was a fan, but it was very warm when I stayed, and the fan didn't really do much. It was noisy from planes hoing into and out of Heathrow. I stayed at the beginning of the week, when the pub is closed and the nearest shops are 15min walk away.

My first stay at the Victoria and it was excellent. Room was small, but very clean, comfortable bed and excellent shower with plenty of hot water. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for you. We had an evening meal on the Friday which was very nicely cook and delicious. The cooked breakfast was outstanding and a very large portion as well. We are going back to stay in two weeks for another Rugby game and can’t wait to visit again. Keep up the good work The Victoria

The Victoria is a gorgeous place to stay, and to eat. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. We felt very welcome, and the check in was comprehensive so we knew which key was which! The door to the bathroom was difficult to close (room 5), but other than that we loved it! We ate at the Victoria - we were so grateful that they gave us our first drink free because there was no breakfast the next day (we stayed on a Sunday night), and the food we had was so good, and the wine excellent. Our only slight niggle was that a service charge was added to the bill, but this wasn't pointed out so we gave a tip, and only realised about the service charge after we'd paid. Luckily the service was excellent so it didn't matter so much. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we would definitely come again!

Me and my girlfriend were on a weekend in Richmond and found The victoria an ideal location. Really quiet residential area not too far from Richmond. The room was small but had everything we needed. The shower was a little underpowered but was adequate. The food, drink and staff were all excellent. Really nice welcoming people who were a pleasure to be there with. We ate on arrival and had breakfast Sunday morning which was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here 1 night and we had a really lovely time. The room was big and spacious, great bathroom with all the amenities, it was lovely to have 2 big bottles of water in the room(we forgot to buy any and was very handy to have them there). Having continental breakfast included was a great bonus, we really enjoyed that. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The pub downstairs is very handy :) The only thing that ruined a bit our sleep was that we had 2 single beds next to each other and the gap between them didn’t help, was really annoying, a double mattress would have been great.The room needs a bit of updating but overall we were really pleased. Was a warm welcome when we arrived, everything explained clearly. Rooms modern and clean, food was delicious, all staff were great. Will be going back next year. A rare find

Breakfast not included on Mon and Tue. Wed we woke up to have breakfast at 7.30 only to find out the pub would open at 9 for breakfast. If you are there on holiday then its fine. Otherwise a bit later. My colleague arrived and called the number but she had to wait a lot to get someone to open doors

Booked room with inclusive breakfast - arrived to be told the restaurant isn't open on a Monday and Tuesday. Woman at hotel didn't even apologize. Just told me if I'd booked through a 3rd party it was their fault ! Nice room but no staff available for check in after 8pm or if there are any issues. No access to ironing board for example.

Lovely location Manageress really unfriendly. Bar staff turned up late to serve breakfast on only day it was available. Returned back from long day to the joys of a circular saw outside my window. No chance of a nap then. Off peak season you will not get breakfast on Monday and Tuesdays and pub closed, but they will still charge you the same rate and won't tell you this until you've already book- somewhat lacking in transparency. When it was available breakfast was delicious but if you paid the extra for cooked, none of the included items were given such as fruit and pastries. However rooms beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable Please note there is no on site parking as and you will need to use the road. This also wasn't very clear from the listing

This is a GEM of a place ! Feels like home from with all of your favourite family members ! From check in with Trent , the phenomenal customer service , his help , and just hands on , to the chef ! We could have had seconds and more of the same , Damo was amazing ! All our dietary requirements were met , whilst going over and above at closing time . The room was immaculate , fresh , clean, cosy , we rested and slept well . Our new regular !

Great property. Just a shame the restaurant was closed and there was very little interaction with people other than calling a number to check in. The room was lovely and comfortable and the location is excellent and feels very safe. A bit of noise from planes going to Heathrow through the night

On our arrival, I had the impression that we were an inconvenience as the pub was closed. No one seemed to be on the premises at all after our keys were handed over. It seemed that we only needed one room key as the downstairs door was unlocked also the street gate, unlocked. No alternative to our promised breakfast was offered and there is nowhere else in the area to eat. Without a car we were stuck. The room was tiny, full of bed, no area to walk around it and no chair. With 2 bags we were sidling around each other to get to the bathroom. The shower was not draining and so I found myself standing in a pool of water. We saw no one on our departure, overall this was a huge mistake.

Excellent stay. Great location to Kew Gardens and Richmond park. Fab breakfast.

You would not believe the pub was in such a lovely area and with the high street and all its other offerings so close - so close to London , Heathrow and transport - a gem !

A very nice "Inn style" hotel in North Sheen. Room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly. Good atmosphere. Breakfast was good. Price was a bit on the high side, but hey - it's London. My only criticism unfortunately is a significant one for the purpose of my trip. I was in London to watch an international rugby match at Twickenham stadium but I found that the hotel was too far from the stadium to be convenient for that purpose, but also had poor transit links to central London. I was very surprised, at first, to be almost the only guest on the weekend of a major match (England v. France), but by the end of my trip I recognized that the location was too far to be convenient for the match. I felt like I was in a sort of "no man's land", geographically. But if you have a reason to specifically visit North Sheen or surrounding area, this is an excellent choice.

A hidden gem in a quiet area of Sheen. Within 15 minutes walk of the train station, with a 20 minute journey to Waterloo made it ideal for visiting the South Bank and Central London. Excellent fresh food for evening meal and breakfast. The room was a good size for 2 people and very clean. Road parking but it was very safe.

We booked this as we were attending the rugby in twickenham.did not realise how far away it was and on flight path.The pub/hotel was.lovely and good food so would reccomend for thus

I enjoyed my 3rd stay at the Victoria. My room was good and the bed was comfortable. On this visit I did have time to stay for breakfast both mornings which was good. I enjoyed the evening meal in the pub area too. Having now determined which buses go where locally it was very convenient from Richmond station either by bus or walking. I enjoyed a walk in the evening into Richmond Park and did see some deer. Thank you to all the staff at the Victoria who were always very helpful and considerate. I look forward to my 4th visit

Great stay in a cool pub with superb food and ambience. The burger and chips was delicious The full English is huge and full of good produce especially the scrambled eggs. The last orders Negroni was perfect!

Really lovely boutique style pub B&B however the complimentary continental breakfast was not offered on a Monday however this wasn’t listed on the Expedia listing thus adding a further cost and inconvenience having to seek elsewhere for breakfast.

Another great stay at the Victoria, to go an see England at Twickenham. Staff were friendly, polite and excellent as usual. Breakfast was great, loads of choice and the cook breakfast is enormous. The only fault and I am being picky, was there wasn’t enough coat hangers and the Bin in the bathroom was broken in Room 3.
