Einfache Unterkunft für praktisch denkende Leute, die keinen Komfort erwarten. Die Betten waren gut, eine Waschmöglichkeit gab es auch auf dem Flur. Frühstücken konnte man Toastbrot oder Müsli. Da gab es wenig Auswahl, aber für 5 Euro war das absolut okay. Kaffee und Tee gab es die ganze Zeit gratis!

Posizione tranquilla e strategica a pochi passi dalla fermata bus Klambratun (vi ferma il bus 55 da e per l'aeroporto) nonchè altri bus vicini. A 5 minuti a piedi dalla baia e dalle vie dello shopping. Vicino alla BSI, la stazione terminal dei bus da e per l'aeroporto. Ottima guesthouse con varie annex tutte dotate di cucina completa di forno lavastoviglie frigorifero stoviglie ecc. Personale gentilissimo e accogliente, ma la struttura dota l'ospite di chiave o codice di ingresso che rendono l'accesso totalmente indipendente..struttura spartana ed essenziale, ma non manca niente. Ormai è diventata il mio punto di riferimento.

A basic but comfortable place to stay, offering some great bonuses like breakfast for a small extra charge, free tea and expresso type coffee all day, a kitchen area, and keypad controlled entry so no keys to loose. The toilet and showers are shared by I never had to wait to use them. Location is very convenient for both bus stations, and still only 10-15 minutes walk from the centre. Rooms are supplied with tv, duvet, blanket, pillow, sink and towels.

Wonderful stay, we utilized the shared kitchen and laundry room areas, they were clean and well kept. We had an emergency for which we had to contact the guesthouse manager, Ingi, at 12AM, and he picked up and helped us. Overall, staff was amazing and place was very neat, would stay here again!

I appreciated that the instructions for self check in was clear and easy to follow. The property, although old, was clean. It’s close to downtown Reykjavik and about a 10-15 minute to the BSI terminal to take the Fly Bus. It was easy to walk a few minutes to find food/grocery.

Excellent place to stay - more of a hostel than a hotel, but there are private rooms with shared bathrooms. Super clean in general, and good kicthen, even with dishwashers. Would stay again.

I didn’t realize that this property is a self check-in/out. Rooms were cozy, but could use an extra pillow. It’s quiet. It’s a shared bathroom with the same floor, which is okay. I did find some bugs under the bed.

The accomodations here were good. No better, no worse. The location is a 15 min walk to the action in town. The room was clean but pretty rundown. The fitted sheets on the bed were rioped around the elastic and there were some pretty sketchy outlets throughout. It worked for a quick place to crash but I would not go back for anything more than that.

The bed was comfortable and the light in this room good enough to read by. Breakfast was basic. Coffee and tea were good. Fortunately, I had an extra bed to put things on; otherwise, where to put my belongings would have been a challenge. I had to move a small stand so that my phone had a place to sit while being charged at the lone available outlet. No TVs worked. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the airport bus terminal.

I had the room closest to the front door, on the street side. It is a busy street, so there was a constant noise of traffic. Also, the doors of the rooms close with a loud bang. The only shared bathroom on my floor was constantly locked, with no noise coming from inside, so I'm assuming it was out of commission. The bathroom I tried in de basement was old and beaten and in need of fixing up. The knob for selecting temperature was stuck on hot and the only space for placing clothes was a questionable set of unfinished wooden shelving. The mattresses were not the best, the linnens were tattered and stained and the pillow provided little support and was extremely lumpy. During my stay, I had no interaction with any staff (never encountered anyone), so can't speak to their level of service. Also did not see the kitchen, so no information on that either. The rooms require a passcode and without providing any details here, I would consider the method of distribution of those codes insecure. I would suggest changing that to a more personal approach.

I should start by mentioning that this was my first experience in a hostel. The single room I chose was small, but certainly adequate in size for just me. The big issue I had was that the beds were both so uncomfortable that I woke up several times due to pain in my back. Though I accept the fact that it could have more to do with the fact that I am nearly 50, I can also say with certainty that nobody wants to feel springs in their back as they're attempting to sleep. Overall, the main areas stayed quiet and I was not awoken or bothered by noise from other guests. The bathroom on our floor accommodated six rooms, I believe, but I did not ever find it to be occupied when I needed to make use of it. I only saw one staff person one time during my stay, and he was quite nice. If I were to base the likelihood of staying at a hostel again on this experience, it would definitely be a no for me.

I chose this accommodation mainly becoz of its short distance to the BSI Bus Terminal. The room does not locate at their described building but within 2-3mins walk towards the actual location. Staff gave me clear direction on where to go tho, that was very good. The room is comparatively spacious. The shared bathroom is very tidy. Just hope there’s coffee supply and more newer cooking utensils in the shared kitchen.

We paid $160 with private bathroom, which is not cheap, the interior is clean and decent but lacking of amenities such as no hanger, closet or space for you to put out luggages. No shampoo, shower gel. It earned extra star for commute laundry and close to downtown. Exterior is looking beat up real bad, and Parking is on the street not on site which security is concerned. If you don’t mind these condition for a convenient location close to town, but we wouldn’t want to stay her again. There are some cheaper rooms with share bathroom which more like hostel than hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed our one-night stay in a unit with a private bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchen area wasn't very well stocked, and the camping stove wasn't the best to use, but it got the job done for a one-night stay. It's a little bit of a walk from the main area with much of the dining, and a short drive to a Bonus grocery store. All in all, it was a decent stay for Iceland.

Check-in was easy enough although I saw that I had a different--and preferred--room assignment. (A second email to me wouldn't open until I arrived.) Map Quest was very wrong on distance from Harpa Concert Hall. The bed was very comfortable. There wasn't enough light to read by, so I went to sleep after the outside light dimmed. There were no directions on how to "clean the machine" after only one-third of a cup of coffee brewed, and I couldn't get more.

There was some confusion at first because the room booked is located in a different building and the alternative room assigned has been occupied by another group. The instruction email somehow has gone to an email address that is different from the email used to book the stay. Once all these confusions were sorted out, it was all good. The room is clean and the common area has cooking area that suits the need well Thanks to the owner for all the help in the last night in Iceland.

We booked a three night stay. Our plane was delayed and we arrived at 6 am the next day after no sleep and went to go to bed but they had relet our room so we couldn’t use it and they have refused to give us a refund for the night. We didn’t cancel we had still paid and the room was ours from the day prior. This can’t be fair.

Showers were convenient and cabinets in kitchen all labeled. Staff was very welcoming and kind. They went out of their way helping us figure out a package that we had sent. Overall - Loved this place and would stay again if we make it back to Iceland!

The owners went out of their way to make things easy for me. Due to cancellations, I ended up making three separate reservations in three different types of rooms for Igdlo. Before I got there, the owners had noticed this, and amalgamated the three bookings into one, meaning no change in rooms was required. The brothers are very friendly, and very helpful. The property itself is easy walking to the pick-up bus stop #8, the BSI terminal, and downtown. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Reykjavik.

Wonderful stay, we utilized the shared kitchen and laundry room areas, they were clean and well kept. We had an emergency for which we had to contact the guesthouse manager, Ingi, at 12AM, and he picked up and helped us. Overall, staff was amazing and place was very neat, would stay here again!

I appreciated that the instructions for self check in was clear and easy to follow. The property, although old, was clean. It’s close to downtown Reykjavik and about a 10-15 minute to the BSI terminal to take the Fly Bus. It was easy to walk a few minutes to find food/grocery.

Always enjoy staying here. Owners are present and helpful. Met new people and it is quiet but yet close to shops - within walking distance. Close to BSI Terminal - arriving from Keflavík airport it is easy 15 min walk to Igdlo Guesthouse.

Clean, nice rooms at a good price. The outside photo makes it look a bit grim, but the place & the area are lovely. Easily walkable into the town centre. Bus from airport stops almost right outside!!

I really enjoyed my stay, didn’t like that I had to pay 5 euro for breakfast which was bread and jam or butter. Not eggs , fruits or sausage. Not worth it! But the place was cozy, but it was full and I didn’t have any place to sit in the dining area. Even after people finished eating they just sat there and talked. The staff was really nice and friendly. Location was great!! Very close to the bus terminal and the wharf. 45 mins from the airport.

The property is a little rundown so doesn’t make the best first impression on arrival. It is a hostel. Our room could have used more lighting (just had one bulb in the center of a large room), especially over or near the sink. However, it was clean, provided good kitchen and dining area, had an excellent 5 euro breakfast and the owner was very attentive to our need for late check-in and most helpful with advice. It was also lovely meeting up with other travellers. For Iceland, this was great value for accommodation.

Simple, clean guesthouse. Proprietor is like everyone i've ever met in 4 trips to Reykjavik: genuinely nice, feel like you've known them all your life. I have no complaints about the room; I did think it included a TV in the room, but it was actually in the lobby of multiple room, of which mine was one. No worries; I was way too tired to watch it anyway. Included breakfast was skimpy, but again, not a huge problem for me. Nice to have coffee and some toast or cereal before you start you day. YMMV, but this room was perfect suitable for me and the nature of this one-night stop in Reykjavik.

Convenient and inexpensive for a quick overnight stay. Host was accommodating, and helped us with a late check after our flight was delayed. Biggest turnoff was a pungent methane smell from the shower. Seemed to come from the water itself. Beds were adequate.

OK, what you are getting here is a full suite attached to a hostel. No, the place is not loud in the least, you DO have a private bathroom, and we never saw the reception area without attending staff. It is a convenient walk to to the BSI bus station, sort of. But here is my biggest negative : There is a large hospital complex between BSI and your lodging. It is expanding, and a lot of construction is going on and it throws Google Maps off some. You'll figure it out, but give yourself a few extra minutes if you are on foot. Whatever Google estimates your walking time to be, double that both coming and going. And the bed needs either better pillows or more of them. The ones we got compressed down to nothing after a few tosses and turns.
