I was a first time visitor to Provincetown and had the good fortune of staying at The Anchor Inn. The owner Chris was extremely helpful in all aspects of the reservation process. The property is perfectly located and walkable convenient to all shops and restaurants. The rooms are meticulously clean and the fireplace was awesome on a cold rainy day. This property is located on the water so the views are spectacular. Every room has its own outdoor private space. Highly recommend this property and I have been told that I am not always o easy to please. I was beyond pleased.

Lovely inn by the harbor. Enjoyed the front porch with rocking chairs overlooking the Main Street and the balcony overlooking the harbor. Owner was friendly and available and breakfast was good. Hate to say anything less than positive however in need of some paint touch-ups. Overall a nice place

Anchor Inn is one of, if not THE best stays directly on Commercial St (the heart of P-Town). Owners Michael and Chris were so friendly and so good to us! You can't beat the views both from the front and the rear of the Inn! Direct ocean view out back, direct Commercial St access out front. Spending time sitting out on the expansive front porch was heaven! Plenty of easy parking for registered guests. I will always look to the Anchor Inn first when planning a trip to Provincetown!

Property is within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and activities. There is parking behind the guest house for guests which is great. You never have to move your vehicle after you arrive. A shout out to Joan and Mae who made our stay special!

Location is perfect,rooms are comfortable and nice,views are outstanding,the staff very accommodating and friendly.The front porch is perfect for sitting and people watching.The rear of the property faces the picturesque harbor.

I couldn't recommend this property more highly - the location is extremely convenient and fairly central, but somehow (at least with a room facing the harbor), I never heard ANY noise from the outside! The owner is friendly, helpful, and down-to-earth (and don't get me started on his adorable dog), and the cleaning staff are friendly and thorough. Breakfast choices were basic but 100% satisfied my breakfast needs and the coffee was great. It was also so pleasant to relax over breakfast on the porch watching the world go by. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for clothes, etc. Having a tiny balcony over looking the water was a special touch. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The one downside I would note was the very strong mildew smell in the room - but honestly I think this is something that you almost can't avoid in a B&B that's in a classic older building and right on the water, and it didn't bother me too much. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - and in fact, I plan to!

The location is excellent! However, the room is very tiny, and at some point there was no hot water. The view of the sea from the balcony is beautiful, though. It’s nice to have continental breakfast, but the coffee mug wasn’t completely clean and there was some dark solid stick to the wall of the mug. Compared to how much we pay, this isn’t perfect stay; however, location wise, it is one of the best, especially if you didn’t drive here. The host is fine, but not super friendly or give you any information about the town

We had a glorious time. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed looking out over the water from our balcony. Convenient to everything in P’town but still quiet and relaxing. A wonderful spot.

The stuff are nice (didn't have much interaction though). Room needs some renewal - fixing the sink faucet, some of the lights didn't work properly, something to hang the towels on and coffee machine/kettle in the room or at least at the lobby.

Property was funkier than the price and pictures would indicate, but (king suite) room was very spacious, and balcony overlooking the harbor was great. Basic continental breakfast was okay. People watching from front porch rockers great. Unless you’re looking to party, avoid weekends, very loud.

The view from the deck is breath taking. Unfortunately the room needs major work. The doors to the room and the deck would not close properly without slamming it shut with your body. The deck doors would not lock, and the screen doors would not open properly. The hot water turned cold whenever you filled the tub or took a shower. There was no place to hang your towels when you were in the shower unless you used the toilet paper holder stand. The remote controls needed instructions to use but there were no instructions available. The bed was horrible, the springs were shot and it was like sleeping in a pot hole. I would not recommend the hotel.

The one thing that bothered me about my stay was the fact that the bed was concave and very uncomfortable. I chose one of the most expensive options available and the bed mattress was completely worn out. I felt the room was a bit misrepresented in photos - Our room was long and narrow - I did not have that impression from the photo. Otherwise, aside from the pallets of smelly, exterior shingles sitting in the driveway (glad to see the owners were repairing this beautiful property), it was a very pleasant experience.

Great location right on commercial street with very nice ocean views in the back. Thought it might be loud because of location but we found it extremely quiet. Some cosmetic issues that should be fixed for the room price (bathroom wallboard separating and fireplace cover needed painting), but otherwise very nice. Good balcony chairs to enjoy the view.

We stayed in waterfront queen. View was beautiful. Room itself was small. Drawer space was mostly built in under the bed. Cleaning woman was awesome and so sweet. The house Labrador, May, was a mellow sweetheart. Breakfast offered was limited but fine. Owners werent very social.

Only issue was my room was on the first floor at it got very noisy with staff and guests early. Got woken up at 6:45am and it stayed loud from then on. Love the location and the property is terrific.

There was no one at desk to sign in. I had a reservation that clearly stated 3pm checkin it was 3:11....instead there was a plasticized sheet stating they were closed for the evening, he returns 10 min. Later and says I just stepped out for a coffee. Not bothered a bit!!! They claim a Fireplace in the room....it was there just did not work. I understand it is early and not the busy season yet,but truthfulness would help. It was located as stated and cleanliness was excellent. The room was small.

What an incredible place. Our room had an amazing view so it was hard not to just stay in and enjoy it! The hosts were very accommodating and the guess house dog is just the cherry on top. We will definitely stay here again.

Location and view were amazing, especially during sunrise. We were right downtown and had a view of the entire harbor from our room. Breakfast wasn't anything extraordinary. The housekeepers were incredibly nice.

Great location right on commercial street with very nice ocean views in the back. Thought it might be loud because of location but we found it extremely quiet. Some cosmetic issues that should be fixed for the room price (bathroom wallboard separating and fireplace cover needed painting), but otherwise very nice. Good balcony chairs to enjoy the view.

I couldn't recommend this property more highly - the location is extremely convenient and fairly central, but somehow (at least with a room facing the harbor), I never heard ANY noise from the outside! The owner is friendly, helpful, and down-to-earth (and don't get me started on his adorable dog), and the cleaning staff are friendly and thorough. Breakfast choices were basic but 100% satisfied my breakfast needs and the coffee was great. It was also so pleasant to relax over breakfast on the porch watching the world go by. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for clothes, etc. Having a tiny balcony over looking the water was a special touch. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The one downside I would note was the very strong mildew smell in the room - but honestly I think this is something that you almost can't avoid in a B&B that's in a classic older building and right on the water, and it didn't bother me too much. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - and in fact, I plan to!

Lovely inn by the harbor. Enjoyed the front porch with rocking chairs overlooking the Main Street and the balcony overlooking the harbor. Owner was friendly and available and breakfast was good. Hate to say anything less than positive however in need of some paint touch-ups. Overall a nice place

The fireplace was inoperative and the innkeeper could have cared less so be aware no fireplace. Gave some excuse that didn’t make a lot of sense. The breakfast was sparse even for a continental breakfast.

We stayed in waterfront queen. View was beautiful. Room itself was small. Drawer space was mostly built in under the bed. Cleaning woman was awesome and so sweet. The house Labrador, May, was a mellow sweetheart. Breakfast offered was limited but fine. Owners werent very social.

The best location in Ptown. Best front porch for people watching. Our room had wonderful balcony with excellent ocean view. Bathroom could use updating, but in spite of that our favorite place of many B And Bs we've stayed at.

This hotel is located very conveniently on commercial Street. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The heat was broken in our room so they upgraded us to a beautiful king suite instead! We have stayed here several times and will continue to go back in the future.
