Excellent service but its a quiet resort. There is no entertainment at the pools. Only one pool has music. No entertainment venue. Just small performances every once in awhile at one of the bars. If you just want to relax, its a great resort. If you want entertainment, you will be disappointed.

An excellent hotel offering a wide range of dining options. The preferred club suites are exceptionally spacious and comfortable. However, I would prefer a firmer mattress as the current one was too soft for my liking. Additionally, enhancing the pool areas with music would greatly improve the atmosphere, considering this is an adult-only hotel and not a spiritual retreat. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

From the minute we arrived, the staff was amazing. They were kind and accommodating, especially considering our flight arrived super early. We did not have any unpleasant interactions while at Secrets the Vine. Special shoutout to Alejandro, front desk; James, Nebbiolo Ristorante; Manuel, Bluewater Grill; and all of the bartenders and staff they made our short stay amazing. Drawbacks: All of the pools close before 8pm. If you want a “lively” resort, this isn’t for you. It’s super relaxed and great for meeting new people as you can hear each other talk. The beach was full of seaweed, but that’s going on at every hotel/resort in the area. They all clean it over night so if you wake up super early you can probably swim for a while. We opted for a day trip to Isla Mujeres for our beach fix. Overall, We would definitely return as I still want to try their Asian Restaurant, Dragons, and I absolutely loved the experience. If I am taking my full family I would go to their sister property Breathless.

Hotel was great and service was top notch. Very good staff and the preferred club pool and area was great. Spa was awesome. Lots of amenities and plenty of stuff to do. Downsides: - some areas look really dated and not done - chipped walls, broken steps etc. - the resort looks sad and empty sometimes cos the places are too spaced out. The game room is all the way next to laundry area and could use some promotion or just awareness that it’s there - the food options are ok. It’s impossible to get a table at Dragons and they’re CONSTANTLY trying to sell you a bottle of wine everywhere you go. It’s really annoying after a while. I paid $650 a night and that really isn’t ALL Inclusive. Seems like penny pinching and isn’t 5 star behavior Managerial staff was amazing. We lost a phone and they went out of their way to find it All in, a great place but I wish they weren’t constantly trying to fleece their customers for extras everywhere. It’s petty.

Secrets was a great resort for me and my wife to celebrate our anniversary. No kids really helped at the pool and speaking of cools, they have 3 great pools that are big and comfortable. The restaurants were DELICIOUS! especially the Sea Salt. The staff was super accommodating, friendly and helpful, which is always nice. I would highly recommend this for anyone!

This was an amazing stay! The resort was immaculate and our room with the full ocean view was amazing! Our private concierge checked in on us daily and helped navigate everything there was to do. The food, especially the breakfast, was top notch. Lots of night time entertainment to go along and the pools were great. Just be sure to get there early to get your spot. We loved it so much, we plan to return.

Great room …. Maybe the best I have stayed in…. The room and the building overall is showing wear and tear…. As we were starting our last evening the elevators malfunctioned. Room service choices were pretty limited and the phone didn’t always get answered….. once we never received our order but a guy did come to the door with another room’s order…. Front gate security was senseless and unnecessarily slow…. I told the gatekeeper that my name was Philip Calderon and he looked for that name on the list. Hotel has some great bones but the staff is really mismanaged. Food was ok pool was nice….. took me 35 minutes to order a beer and there appears to me that they are not under staffed…..overall pretty frustrating to be at such a nice place for the staff to be killing the good vibes

The service staff were very courteous and polite and helpful from check in, concierge and service at all the restaurants. Our family was Vegetarian and every restaurant had a separate Vegan/Vegetarian menus and the staff were very accommodating to our dietary needs. We especially enjoyed having breakfast at the Market Cafe. It had excellent choices for Vegetarian food and we were there every morning. A very special thanks to the Manager at Market Cafe, Jose, along with the chef Enrique, and the staff Mitchell, Edgar, Bernie, Nicole and others made our trip very memorable. The pools were great and chairs were always available here. You can also walk right on to the beautiful sandy beach. The rooms were kept clean throughout the day. I would recommend this resort!!!

Beautiful aesthetically designed resort, our room was spotless with a gorgeous ocean view, bed was comfy, ac worked perfectly. Excellent service by all resort staff at the restaurants, cafe, pool, lounge, lobby. The beach is private, though not too big but always kept clean. Enjoyed authentic Mexican cuisine at the Market Cafe and their enormous breakfast buffet. The shows were nice too especially Mexican night and Halloween celebrations. Wish they had cabanas or at least more beach chairs on the beach. Highly recommend.

Loved this hotel! This was our third trip to Cancun, and Secrets the Vine was our best trip so far. Room was spotless and spacious. Service was over the top hospitable. Entertainment was high quality all six nights we were there. Very active, festive international vibe. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

We spent a long weekend with split stay between an ocean view room and a preferred club honeymoon suite. The ocean view was nice and fairly clean. I think it was the south side of the building which was a little loud from the air conditioning units on the balcony. We switched to the honeymoon suit ocean front which was huge and had an L shaped balcony. The sun rise over the ocean from the bed was stunning. 3

Overall,we enjoyed our stay. We did upgrade to Preferred status and that was definitely a plus for us since the regular pools were quite loud and noisy. Seaweed is an issue so the beach wasn’t very enticing. Room was large, bed very comfortable, view was beautiful, food was better than average for all-inclusive, staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Overall our stay was great. We loved our room and pool and beach areas were really nice. We also enjoyed the restaurants with the Italian being our favorite. My only complaint is they did not take reservations. I also wish the patio furniture was more comfortable.

F&B staff were unfriendly to me on several occasion. Several occasions I asked for drinks or appetizers and either had to ask repeatedly or the worker took care of other guess that were clearly there after me.At the bar they placed drinks in front of other guess and placed mine further down the bar and motioned me to go and get em. I spoke to 3 different managers about my situation and came to the realization that most of the staff were not interested in servicing a person the look like me. I’m a very calm respectful middle age man of color and had multiple encounters were staff members were smiling and polite to others and stoic looking to me. I tried my best to get passed the unfair treatment and realized that too many incidents had occurred. Once I spoke with the manger of the coffee shop, Victor, word got out of my displeasure and the service got worse. I would never go back the that place again and would probably steer clear of Cancún as a whole. The service in the Yucatán was totally different from Cancun Secrets the Vine. Never seen some many non smiling unfriendly people in a resort in my life. I’ve been to Punta Cana 2 times and the service was amazing. I give my overall experience a zero for the F&B section and average in my check in and good with room service and pool side workers Spoke with Isreal, Erica and Victor about the service on Friday. We spent over $3,000 on this vacation and I have a lot of bad memories to show for it!!!

I would like a call to discuss this stay at 618-873-2835. I went all inclusive with Expedia and when we got there we had VIP members telling us about how we should sign up with Hyatt and had us sign up to do a tour which was supposed to only be 90 min and ended up being 3 hours when i got up and walked out. They did see my rayban glasses and got concerned that i was recording what they where telling us as they stated it was against Expedia for them to do what they where. This was my 1st vacation and also my 20 year anniversary getaway. The other complaint i have is i am highly contagious to mushrooms and i tol rhem that, i set up breakfast in bed for our anniversary and filled out the paper and when i turned it into the concierge, we even went over me being allergic to mushroom. I ordered the egss with vegetables and he did not say anything about there being mushrooms and when they arrived to the room we had just gotten up so our food was placed by the window and we went to sit down. They showrd us how to open the door to get the hot food and left. We finished our fruit and went to grt our hot breakfast and it was much to my suprise when i went to eat mine there was so many mushrooms we did not eat it and i went down and got breakfast from the market side cafee. I was terribly upset as the 2 times i have had accidently had mushrooms my throat had swollen up and i was rushed to hospital. The spa at the hotel is ok but the 1 across the road is 100 times better and way cheaper

Nice beach and pool areas. Restaurants were the biggest disappointment. Problems with service in the restaurants, food quality, wait times. Preferred club was not worth the upgrade. Preferred restaurant was the worst on the property. Preferred pool area was not as nice as other pools and the 21st floor lounge area for preferred guests was just a small room with a small bar and some snacks. Premium label liquor wasn’t offered at the pool or beach areas and only a few premium labels were offered. Junior suite was nice and had a large shower but only Pringles and m&m’s were offered as snacks in the room. We had to buy a bottle of wine to watch the Mexican night show. The 7 course Chefs table was a nice dinner but it was an extra $250 per couple. This property is in the hotel zone but not as close to the shopping area. Property was clean and well maintained although there was an horrible sewer odor near the entrance/ lobby area of the building which was also in the piano bar, Dragons restaurant and sports bar. There were some very nice aspects of this resort and many staff members that worked hard to please guests but for us it just fell short in the restaurants. If you are a “foodie” like we are, you may want to explore some other options. If you just want a clean resort, well maintained beach, nice pools, and a quiet atmosphere, this may be for you.

This beautiful property is in a perfect location in the middle of the Hotel Zone. Spacious, well-designed rooms, all with ocean views. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The food in the buffet was spectacular! We also liked the Asian and the Mediterranean restaurants. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try the steakhouse and Italian restaurants due to the strict dress code (long pants for men). The Peruvian restaurant had good service, but poor food quality. We really wanted to like it, but unfortunately the standard didn’t compare to the rest of the hotel. Nevertheless, this hotel exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay there again.

All around good resort very close to some real nice spots like taboo and ilieos which were the highlight of the trip. Very pleasant experience. The environment is beautiful, and the hotel has its own private beachfront along with three swimming pools. In addition to the Market Cafe buffet for breakfast and lunch, there are six different themed restaurants for dinner, all without the need for reservations. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport; I booked an Uber for around MX$304, which is about USD $16.

Most of the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We did encounter a few people who were not so friendly. The waiter we had at the Italian restaurant our first night was not pleasant and we felt he was annoyed by our presence. The concierge service was great! The food overall was nothing spectacular. The Italian restaurant was not good at all. The hamburger at the grill by the pool was better than the Italian restaurant food. The Bluewater Grill (steak place) was good and very accommodating.

We just returned from a wonderful 11 night stay at Secrets. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Pro: customer service, coffee bar was the best!, food was good and often great. Cons: dinner seatings at several restaurants are a big struggle. Couple of times we had a 2 hour wait. So, work around is be in line at 6 or wait to 8. We would probably return.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Cancun and overall had a great experience. The location was perfect and the style of the hotel was very clean, modern, and sleek. I especially appreciated that it was adults-only, which made for a relaxing atmosphere without kids around. The buffet breakfast and lunch were both very good—fresh, varied, and satisfying. Dinner, however, was hit or miss. The first night we tried the steakhouse and it was excellent, probably the best meal of the trip. Unfortunately, the other restaurants didn’t measure up. The Italian restaurant was pretty flavorless, relying on excess cheese to make up for the lack of taste. The sushi restaurant served good sushi, but the noodles in the ramen and udon were overcooked and disappointing. On the plus side, the drinks across the property were consistently amazing. The staff was kind and attentive, though I did notice that I had to bring up my Expedia Gold membership in order to receive a free upgrade (which was available), as it wasn’t offered or checked proactively. A big area for improvement was the music and entertainment. The poolside music was mostly bland English pop covers, which didn’t fit the setting at all. Being in Mexico, I would have loved to hear more variety, especially in Spanish. The live performers were enjoyable, but adding a DJ or a more dynamic music program would have made the vibe much better.

Downsides: - some areas look really dated and not done - chipped walls, broken steps etc. - the resort looks sad and empty sometimes cos the places are too spaced out. The game room is all the way next to laundry area and could use some promotion or just awareness that it’s there - the food options are ok. It’s impossible to get a table at Dragons and they’re CONSTANTLY trying to sell you a bottle of wine everywhere you go. It’s really annoying after a while. I paid $650 a night and that really isn’t ALL Inclusive. Seems like penny pinching and isn’t 5 star behavior Managerial staff was amazing. We lost a phone and they went out of their way to find it All in, a great place but I wish they weren’t constantly trying to fleece their customers for extras everywhere. It’s petty.

I went there with my wife. We have been to Yucatan 5 times and to be honest, this property falls below expectations. From the check in I felt they were trying to sell me their spa and room upgrade. I never been to an all inclusive that tries so hard to sell you a bottle of wine. At every restaurant we went they will offer to speed up the sitting process if we decided to buy wine. They offer a decent selection but I refuse to buy a bottle with 300 to 400% markup, this is quite abusive. Also if you wanted to watch their show, you had to buy a bottle of wine. They require pants for the men to enter their restaurants and a lot of us that travel to the tropics don't pack those making it inconvenient. Another interesting point is their non smoking policy. They force you to go outside to the curb to smoke. I don't smoke but my wife does and frankly, they should have designated smoking areas and avoid their guest feel like outcasts. the room was OK, smelled humid and the AC didn't meet my expectations. The bed was comfortable. What they call a mini bar consisted in 4 small beers and a couple of sodas, nothing else. The beach was good as it has been during my other stays. The service was not to par. You have to take your own towels to the lounge chairs and pray to get an umbrella. To wrap things up, we won't be back there again.
