La Suite West - Hyde Park

We are very satisfied with our 6 days stay at this small hotel. Friendly and helpfull staff always available. Nice decor and cosy courtyard. Clean smell to it. Great location. Near to the tube and buses. A big variety of grocery stores, restaurants and take away just around the corner. 2 minutes walk to the lovely park with playground and pretty sights. We are a family of 4 and the jr suite was ok for us. Not much cabinet space for clothes but convenient with a small tea kitchen. Cleaning on a daily basis and restocking of towels, coffee and bisquits. Really convenient. Our room was on the third floor and we really appreciated that due to street and tube sounds ( when staying central you almost cannot avoid this). Breakfast was fine and had a lot of different things to choose from. Both kids and adults had their favorites. Coffee and tea served at the table in pots. Liked that detail. For us it was a perfect stay. Will recommend and maybe even come back if we go to London again. Thank you!

Place was great and service was excellent, however they should state that there is limited parking as there are only 3 bays for the entire hotel. However, we were given discount for the car park which was just around the corner.

Great location with close proximity to two Tube stations. A short walk to Kensington Gardens. Our suite was spacious and modern. The staff were very welcoming and always willing to help fulfil requests. We were very impressed with their friendliness.There is currently external building work being done to the property but our suite was away from any noise and disruption. We appreciated the free breakfast and being able to accommodate our adult son in the same suite during our stay.This hotel is highly recommended!

Very good hotel, modern, clean and very well maintained. All the staff were very polite, friendly and most helpful. Arrived late on the first night and booked into room 201. After settling down realised there was a noisy air conditioning unit outside the window. Called reception and asked for another room but what we were offered were in the same rear side of the hotel. The staff person said come to reception in the morning and we will change the room. We asked for a room at the front of the hotel and given 210 which was nice and quiet. All done with no fuss and excellent customer service. Good buffet breakfast. Great hotel for a short break, Q Park just around the corner, hotel provided a discount code, two tube stations within 2 minutes walk

I wish I would have known in advance the property was under reconstruction. I wish the staff would have informed me in the beginning about an additional fee for staying there when they informed me of a holding fee that I would get back. There was no toilet brush to clean, the shower window did not protect the floor from getting soaking wet, and there was left over/used drinks in my refrigerator.

Other than having to pay for parking at 34£ a day, it was wonderful, all the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and the room was lovely, would defo stay here again !

Nicely appointed hotel but JrSuite a little tight with amount of furniture (double bed, loveseat, 2 chairs and 2 person table for eating) but beds were comfortable Our room was located open to outside so didn’t actually enter hotel except for check in and out. Included mini kitchenette with tea/coffe/hot chocolate service & small refrigerator stocked with water & OJ. The street hotel is on is busy during the day but quiets down after dark. It is located one street over from the Baywater tube station and there are a lot of restaurants on this street. Try Taza for take away if you like Shwarma. Unfortunately, this area is a little less desirable which can bleed over onto the street the hotel resides on. My only complaint about our room was that the service access to outside rooms came up a metal staircase directly under our window & had a metal gate that shared our front step. Everytime someone came up that way you could hear them in the stairs and the gate creaked open & gate latch clanged shut. Fortunately, this didn’t start until after 8 am and was done by the mid afternoon. There is a very nice seating area with an arbor that runs between the front of the building & the street with locked gates that provides a buffer from the street traffic which would be nice to use when the weather cooperates. I never felt unsafe walking around and it has good access to Paddington station should you be using Heathrow Express to LHR.

Adorable area of town. Close to many restaurants and very conveniently located to 2 train stations. Area outside the hotel felt very safe for families. The only downfall of the hotel was that the shower was not fully enclosed and the entire bathroom floor and sink area gets wet with every shower. The shower is also difficult to turn on without getting fully in the shower and getting wet. The hotel provided info for restaurant food delivery and it was very user friendly. Laundry facilities are listed on the description but there is not actually a facility on site. It’s only a send out laundry service offsite.

The hotel is great but there were three things; 1. First night, the room was freezing, and I complained about it, ended up having a debate (polite way of saying argument) with the gentleman at the front desk, who claimed that I wasn’t operating the air conditioning correctly and effectively blamed me for the temperature in the room (it was freezing) eventually agreed to supply a heater which rectified the situation. 2. Scaffolding outside the building which I actually phoned the hotel before to find out about. I was told that actually there wasn’t scaffolding. My room was actually used to provide electricity to the workers and therefore there was a cable coming into the room, plugged into the electrical socket, which I had to unplug it and put it outside on the scaffolding. Additionally, as the windows were open I had to figure out how to close them and lock them because I was otherwise insecure. Thankfully I’m a male, but if I was a female I might have felt very safe. 2. One day in eating hours I was treated to a demonstration of the workers skills directly outside the bedroom window. Again. If I’d been a woman I would’ve been incredibly embarrassed walking around the room. Having the workers looking in while doing their work. I had to use the blackout blinds. I have video evidence. 3. Housekeeping didn’t clean on day three - but in evening after prompting they rectified.

My rating relies heavily on the condition of my room. I do not believe that my room was cleaned properly after the last guest checked out. There was hair everywhere on the floor. The pillow cases had random marks on them. It just did not feel clean. My towels were replaced everyday when they did not need to be. There were no face cloths. I really think they should get rid of the hand towels vs. the face cloths but that is my opinion. The size of the room is on the smaller size and I think two people may find it a little snug if staying in the city for more than two nights. The noise level from outside makes it hard to get good rest at night. Combine that with other rowdy guests in the other rooms and you should just checkout and go elsewhere. The front desk staff were pleasant but the overnight guy could care less who came in. This will definitely not be a repeat stay.

We liked that it was a few minutes to two Underground stations. Access to reasonable priced restaurants and grocery stores were near by. We did not like the musty smell in room 114 despite efforts to mitigate the excess moisture that covered the walls of the room. We should have been concerned when the room had a portable dehumidifier in the corner of the room. The first night we needed to sleep having a long flight from the Bay Area. But y early morning we woke up to a freezing and damp room. The morning staff appeared inexperienced with addressing our issue and gave us a portable cooling fan. I had to wait until later in the morning when a competent manager took our issue seriously. By the third night the musty smell returned even stronger. We chose not deal with the staff and waste our limited time in London so we tolerated the problem and will not book a stay there again. We also had the shower stall filling up about 3” which probably contributed to problem. We also had to speak to evening staff when the TV control needed new batteries. I won’t discuss our difficulty with this issue but it took over an hour to resolve.

Hotel room was absolutely lovely. Spotlessly clean and very roomy. The service from the hotel staff was absolutely top notch too. Very welcoming and accommodating. Will be coming back for our Christmas market trip in December!

We were given two different rooms even after pointing it out multiple times to staff. Then we were yelled at on the phone - both late at night and early morning and accused of being responsible for getting two separate rooms. In addition to the extremely uncomfortable and uncalled for behavior from staff, we could hear everyone walking around on the floor above and even what they talked about which made for a really awful night’s sleep. The room itself wasn’t the best and was dirty and worn down. Over all a bad experience which let us to find other accommodation after one night.

Some elements of the room were shabby and needed painting. Stains on the rug. Staff is excellent and you cannot beat this location.

The hotel is conveniently situated near 2 underground stations. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite, and the check-in process was super quick. However, we had booked a superior room which turned out to be very small and in need of maintenance in the bathroom, the mirror was extremely rusty, the bath had rust and mould throughout and cracks down the walls. It wasn't as clean as we expected for a 4-star hotel, spillages on the desk that hadn’t been cleaned and bed linen was stained (see photos taken on arrival). We had specifically chosen this hotel for my partners birthday for a relaxing night away from the hustle and bustle due to it’s recommendations of a quiet location, but unfortunately, the staff failed to inform us about the scaffolding and works right outside our window. The blinds were pulled down when we arrived, so we had no idea about the ongoing construction. The room was barely spacious enough for two people, and it was uncomfortably hot - we couldn't even open the windows due to the maintenance work happening right outside and when I pulled the blind up in the morning there was 2 men stood with a clear view right outside our window. To make matters worse, the noise from the construction started at 8 am, vibrating the entire room. We couldn't bear the noise any longer, so we decided to check out earlier than planned. Overall, we were really disappointed with our stay.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was spacious and staff were friendly.

Very average experience, cleanliness is 6-7 out of 10 (some surfaces were dusty, and the carpets still had some dirt/trash from previous customers), but beds and rooms are comfy. Some staff are super friendly but some were giving a bit of an attitude (which is the experience that sticks with you unfortunately).

Great place to stay, minutes from Bayswater tube and Hyde Park with good local shops and cafes. Highly recommend, spotlessly clean and very attentive staff team. Super comfortable bed and a window that opened for fresh air so near to the park.

THE ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL

Positives: Great location in a great area with short distance to tube, restaurants, groceries, Nicely decorated rooms, clean Good selection at the (continental) breakfast. Negatives: Service at check-in: had to wait very long to check in (1hr in the lobby) with no serious attempt to get us in a room faster. The first room was in the ground floor, and we could hear the tube every 3-4 minutes (we asked to change rooms and they accepted). We had a junior suite for four people but the sofa bed for our kids was very small and uncomfortable. The door to the bathroom/toilet could not close properly, which makes it a bit too intimate for four people :-/.

Cozy and comfortable rooms , a little tight but the service makes up for it. Only only negative thing is that you can get noises of underground tube.

Noisy in the hallway and upstairs - walls are thin and pillows are too flat. But it's clean, great location

The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The hotel is near a lot of restaurants and Hyde Park, which was very nice. On the other hand, the room was extremely small. There was no door or curtain for the shower, so every time we showered, the floor would be soaking wet. We got to the hotel very late at night. We weren’t even sure we were in the right place. The signage for the hotel is very small and easy to miss. Additionally, it was not well lit. We arrived on August 15th at around 11pm. When we arrived, the main person at reception was smoking near the entrance so the smell of cigarette smoke upon arrival was very off putting. Additionally, this person acted as if they couldn’t care less that we arrived at their establishment. Needless to say, we did not feel very welcome. I’m not usually a complainer, but I’m just being honest about our stay and impressions at the hotel.

Small rooms, but great west London location. Walkable to Hyde Park and Portobello Rd, especially if walking is your thing and you want to soak up a particular London neighbourhood.

Did not enjoy sleeping having a basement room sitting next to London Tube line

We had a pleasant stay at La Suite West-Hyde park. Our first nigth was a bit uncomfortable as we had a room on the ground floor and could hear the train every 10 minutes or so. In addition there was only one small window facing an internal wall. I spoke with a kind woman at the front desk and she let me know they would be changing our room the next day. Once we were moved up to the other room (3rd floor facing the street) it was a much better stay. The hotel itself was clean and the room was spacious enough for my family of four (2 adults, 1 kid, 1 baby). The continental breakfast was sufficient for $10. The hotel is near the Queensway and Bayswater tube stations which make it super easy to get around London. There are plenty of shops and restaurants on the next main street and Kensington Palace and the Princess Diana playground are about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel (such a cool playground for kids!).

The room was spacious and a baby cod was provided. The hotel is super close to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. Many food options around. Breakfast is fine, staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms towards the street are pretty noisy because the windows are very thin and there is constant traffic. Would book the hotel again!

The front desk staff was soooo accommodating, I arrived from the US and they expedited my check in so that I could shower and get dressed before my event. They even offered to take photos for and got anything I need upon request. The rooms, especially the bathrooms are soo beautiful, I loved the marble. Housekeeping tidy up my room without asking. It was the perfect location for exploring the city, only 10 min walk from Paddington station and close enough to explore Hyde park and make use of the hop on-hop off buses!

Communication was a huge issue. I stayed into another hotel at the start of that week and their communication was brilliant so my stay here was a sharp contrast. The Expedia app informed me that I was going to pay at the hotel and then the day before the hotel tried to take the money out only to have it declined as I’d moved my money out of that account. Had to call up and put it through over the phone, asked for an email receipt and they assured me I’d receive one…didn’t get one. I got to the hotel the next day and was told that I needed to pay for my hotel. I informed them that I’d already paid and they told me that it was pending and that they needed to be paid. I showed them on my phone that I’d already paid through my banking app and they said they still hadn’t received the money so I’d need to pay. I put my card into the card reader and waited to put my pin in just to see that they needed the card for confirmation to complete the transaction. A very easy situation that became an issue due to lack of clear communication. The next day when I checked out, I was asked to pay a maintenance fee of £5. It wasn’t really fully explained when I was at the reception as to why but it also wasn’t clearly stated in any of the lead up to the stay which would have been appreciated. Overall, the hotel was very clean and in a great area, the staff were ok it was just a strong lack of clear communication that would’ve been heavily appreciated as it would have made the travel less stressed

Even though I messaged ahead of time to ask for early check in, that didn’t seem to have been communicated to the staff and I wound up waiting for ages while I watched other people who arrived later check in before me. Don’t prepay for the breakfast - there’s not nearly enough tables to accommodate the number of guests and there was no one designated for greeting/seating people. On top of that, the selection at the buffet is pretty pitiful.

One of the staff members during the late night check in was quite impolite and unfriendly. The other staff member who helped us with our luggage was very friendly and helpful though. Rooms are clean but very small and we could not open our luggages in the limited space. Hot water was not available after showering for a while. Furthermore, we were charged a compulsory service fee per room which wasn't mentioned upfront at any point during the booking or check in process. The only positive with this hotel is the location with many shops and cafes within walking distance.

I read a couple mixed reviews on this hotel, but I needed one close to where family was. It's not the neighborhood I typically stay in, but I was very pleasantly surprised! From the beginning, they contacted me on their own to ask if the sofa should be made into a bed apon arrival (I was traveling with my two children). All the staff from check in to check out was over the top accommodating, they were so friendly to my kids, and any special requests I had were met immediately. The house keeping was amazing everyday, you'd never know i had kids eating crackers in there, and all the linens were perfect. They also have a great complementary stock of nespresso and water. I never heard another guest from my room, and as far as I know, no one heard us. Would stay again.

The Hotel is excellently located. Bayswater and Queensway underground stations are 2min and 5mins away respectively giving access to the Circle and District or Central Line both good for access to shopping or museums. There is a wide selection of restaurants in the area giving a good choice of cuisines plus a Sainsbury’s and Tesco Local for the down to earth bits one might need. Our stay was during the half term-holiday and we’d booked a suite. On arrival the reception was friendly and courteous where they took care of our baggage and informed us about the facilities. The room was a good size for two adults and two children and on arrival it was clean and welcoming. A small frustration was we couldn’t get the chromecast to work on our TV when we wanted to have a family film night. Seems to need better configuration(?). The breakfast is continental. There were a lot of families staying while we were there and the Nutella which is popular with the children ran out on day two of our visit and wasn’t replaced, so if you like Nutella bring your own jar just in case (good there’s a Sainsbury’s and Tesco nearby). The final thing which should be informed on arrival is the hotel will request a 3% of your stay fee as a service fee which ‘hopefully’ goes to the staff. This surprised me as I had paid-up my bill on arrival. I obliged however I like to know about these type of ‘surprises’ on arrival. Anyway good location, but there’s room for improvement with the hotel.

I loved this hotel. It was near queensway and bayswater for the tube and a 10 minute walk to Hyde park! So many great places near by.

Excellent transport connections within easy reach of Bayswater and Queensway underground stations. Property was immaculate in all communal areas and our junior suite was excellent with plenty of storage. Dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries all provided. Breakfast was a great selection of fruit, cereal and pastries. All staff were so friendly. Lots of gift shops and restaurants locally, also a Sainsbury's and Tesco around the corner. Our only niggle was that we could hear and feel the tube trains from our 3rd floor room! It didn't stop us sleeping or wake us up, we were just aware of it. A really great stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again

Amazing location close to trains and restaurants

This was a great find. It’s maybe 100 yards from two different underground lines. Huge park across the street. Also has fast food, restaurants and CVS on the block. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was plentiful. Rooms are clean and quiet.

This hotel is in a great location, just steps away from Bayswater tube station and just down the street from Queensway that meant it was accessible to 90% of central London and all the tourist attractions. The bed was very comfortable - a key selling point for me. The staff was helpful And overall a superior room fit our needs and budget perfectly.

Everything is walkable from this hotel. Restaurants, grocery, tube station, Hyde Park etc. The staff is friendly and the property is very clean.

Great 2min walk to both Bayswater train station, Hyde park and has tons of restaurants and supermarket nearby...excellent location for anybody new to the area.

Breakfast was not very good and the restaurant is freezing cold because the door had to be open with only 5 degrees outside because of “safety” reasons. The manager shouted at the staff in the kitchen and the staff didn’t seem to be treated fairly. When they were asked to close the door the manager was pretty rude to both guests and employees. The hotel and location itself is fine.

Dining Room is small, no hot foods, limited options. Coffee has to be ordered from waitstaff, no other coffee choice. Should have coffee, water 24/7 in the Dining Area. Overall, it’s ok. Staff is pleasant. Bathroom room sink did not drain well,

The property was very clean, felt safe, and staff was helpful and friendly. Our stay did not come with the hotel breakfast so the first day we paid for it. The breakfast area was very busy and crowded and what was provided was not worth the price. We chose to eat breakfast away from the hotel for the remainder. I was expecting to have conditioner and washcloths provided but they were not. I had to purchase conditioner from a store around the corner.

A great place to stay with kids in the family room. For London, we had plenty of space. Breakfast was great for a good start to the day.

Great location just a few steps from Bayswater tube. We had a basement room - really spacious (but no view). Very comfy bed. The upper floors are probably better. Continental breakfast was generous. Staff were helpful and friendly. Left luggage facility was handy especially as they're so close to the tube.

Great location, modern and clean and Great for our two nights stay. The negatives: Poor sound insulation, you can hear every footstep your neighbour takes and every door that closes on your floor. Dont bother spending money on breakfast, poor selection, no plates/ culterly, no juice, a bit messy to be honest. Plenty of cafes in the neighborhood you can eat at instead.

The room was smaller than pictured, it was dirty and most disappointing was they advertise a vegan breakfast but they do not. When I asked, they said they changed dining room vendors but never changed their ad. This was the main reason I booked this hotel so o was very unhappy.

My room was quiet and conveniently located near the park, which made the stay very pleasant. While the hotel doesn’t offer full dining options - a detail I unfortunately misunderstood - they do provide a breakfast service, and for other meals you’ll need to dine out or use online or local delivery services. The hotel makes this very easy by offering a selection of local delivery options online and everything I ordered arrived quickly, so the location works well for that purpose. Under normal circumstances I would have enjoyed dining out, as there are plenty of great places close by, but I was visiting for a medical procedure and needed in-room dining this time. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay, and the room itself was a good size and very comfortable. For the purpose of my trip it was an ideal setup and I will visit again when I'm next in this part of a London.

Nicely updated property in a very cool area. near Hyde Park. Skip the hotel breakfast, which is expensive for what is provided. And the staff is not the friendliest. But both the facilities and location our top notch. Would stay there again.
