Axiom Park Hotel

Part 1 - parking: There is no where to park to check in, there are only 5 parking spaces for the entire hotel in a secret garage so we had to meter park on the street down road until a spot became available, then its a whole time consuming process you have to call the front desk and wait for someone to walk out and open the gate to park and the door to hotel for you, you can't come and go without this process - took about 30 /- min... Part 2 - checking in: Check in was at 2pm, we arrived around 3:30pm, our room was still not ready, was told it would be about another hr or so, the room we got (2 full beds) was not the same as advertised (family suite with 1 king bed and a full bed pull out), when mentioned i was told its same 2 beds is 2 beds... Part 3 - hotel: Strong smell of raw sewage in the hallways (luckily the room wasn't as bad), Most of the lighting in our room was broken or damaged, there were exposed wires above bed where a light fixture was dangling, the shower has no door so it floods the whole bathroom (there is visible mold and water damage to baseboards and tile grout), some of the furniture was missing key components making it useless (ie. One wardrobe closet had no handles), the lobby guest bathroom was pretty gross and had a dirty wash towl to dry your hands Part 4 - Location: About the only positive thing, it was a short walk to bus/trains, there are multiple convenient stores and restaurants near by, unfortunately pub across street was closed...

I lived in the area but didn;t know this hotel existed. Excellent value for the location (though not near a tube). The room was spacious and clean, with climate control and the shower not cramped. Bed was fine too. Only negatives are the towels (a bit rough!) and the TV didn;t work as it is wi-fi and wouldn;t connect. Also no coffee available in the reception lounge workspace.

The spa facilities were amazing, and the huge bath tub was beautiful!

Great place to stay. Small kitchen and close to grocery stores. We were able to store our luggage while we travelled over to Paris for a few days. The fee was very reasonable. Front desk staff were helpful and kind.

Advert said parking but was an additional £20 very noisy, rooms were tired and poor quality. Bed uncomfortable. Wouldn’t stay again

We had a pleasant enough stay at the Axiom, but upon arrival and parking we were left in the car park for 20 minutes until someone let us into the hotel. TV in room did not work, but rest of stay was ok.

We booked a room with a long bed and we're only given a room with a double not to mention the heating in that room was broken so it was freezing. We managed to change our room to the correct room with working heating thanks to the very helpful clerk at the counter. Both rooms were very clean with the beds made nicely but the decor etc wasn't the greater, with holes in the walls behind door and some of the paint looking worse for ware. There are a few parking spaces under the hotel charges at £15 a night which I found to be pretty decent. Overall our stay was very nice and pleasant thanks to the very helpful staff on shift.

At a cost it had safe parking, very good.

We checked out 10 minutes after checking in it was that bad. You have to stop in the street to go to reception and ask about parking because they refuse to tell you how to use the car park over the phone. Parking is not free which is not clearly stated. We were then left waiting in the basement car park for 10 minutes listening to people flush the toilet. The way into the hotel from the car park is via the fire exit and through where they keep all the supplies. Everything is filthy, broken, scratched, falling apart. Carpet, bed, linens, doors, handles, literally everything is either broken, heavily worn or dirty. The room numbers are just small pieces of printed paper stuck on doors, most torn or falling down. Nothing like the pictures at all. It must be common for people to ask to check out straight away after seeing how bad it is given the reception staff was not surprised at all that we wanted to leave.

Decent for our one-night stay though would not spend longer. Cleanliness of the room was reasonable although the hotel is definitely not a four star (two or three star more accurate) and some of the fixtures and fittings were broken. Note that parking is only available for an additional £15 (not included in price of room). For some reason the hotel seems to be overpriced on Hotels.com vs other websites which was the most disappointing thing.

This property was not what was advertised. It may have been a 4 Star hotel at one point, but I would rate it as a 2 Star. It was filthy, rundown, smelled like urine and had terrible cancelation and refund policys. The staff were nice and the bed was soft, but not what was advertised. I wish we could have stayed elsewhere. If I had changed my room I wouldn't have recieved a refund. It was far away from central London, but easily accessible. Not worth the money I spent. I don't know what the standards are for individuals in London, but this property was falsely advertised.

The room had a terrible smell of rot and damp. It was really bad. When I told reception they said they would check. Then they said they would do a deep clean when I left. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Not clean, broken items in the room. Beds and pillows really basic… basic I accept as it’s not expensive but not cleanliness is a basic!!

I was very disappointed with my stay. The bathroom has a 5-6 inch hole in the ceiling. The sink did not have a drain stop and would over fill and smell if the water ran more than a trickle. Our room was not properly cleaned. Trash was left behind. We asked to change to another room but was told there were not others.

Staff were friendly, price was reasonable and location was good. The room was unclean, the shower door was completely broken and off the hinges. The window didn’t shut properly and the heating didn’t work so I was absolutely freezing! Half of the plug sockets were also not working and the sink in the bathroom was leaking onto the floor. Luckily I was only staying for one night after attending an event but I wouldn’t book again.

My room looked nothing like the pictures. Completely understand that this is a very cheap room but the photographs online are extremely misleading. The room felt old and tired, paint and plaster falling off the walls. The kitchen area was dirty, cutlery hadn’t been cleaned properly in so long that we had to seriously scrub to get them suitable for eating with. Whilst using the shower, the water didn’t drain as the plug needed unclogging. The rooms are also ridiculously hot, there was a fan in the room but it hadn’t been dusted in so long that there was just debris being blown everywhere. When the guest in the room next door leaves or comes into their room it sounds like they are coming into yours, the doors are extremely noisy which was quite unsettling. We were woken up twice by the fire alarm during the night and early morning. When you come into reception to check in, it feels very clean and smells fresh but sadly this is not the case for the rooms.

The room would have been ok for the 1 night that we stayed, but the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied and contained used toilet roll and tampons.

Not great. The room I was in was not in a good shape. The door was open when I arrived which made me uneasy, the walls are dirty, quite scuffed and in desperate need of a coat of paint, there was blood on the wall in the bathroom and the skirting boards are starting to turn mouldy. The lights flickered and it had no windows. and the bathroom smelled really bad like bad drains. The bed was clean and comfyish, but I did not sleep very well as there was so much noise in the hallway of people shouting and coughing and falling over which I could hear through the gap under the door. Final nail in the coffin was the fire alarm going off at 3 am ish (I am aware this is not the hotels fault, but still annoying). The staff were very pleasant and helpful however.

Disgusting open, old microwave meal in the fridge. Air conditioning didn’t work. Moudly shower and tiles. Mouldy kitchen units. Dirty, damaged sink. No lampshade. Scuffed walls. Damaged carpets.

Really below par. Not recommended Standard rooms have no windows, like a prison cell with a hotplate. Hole in floor next to bed. Mega dangerous trip hazzard. Staff barely speak English

I am beyond disappointed. The room did not match the pictures at all. After travelling from North America to the UK for the first time, this is a huge disappointment. It's described as a luxurious stay but it's old and run down with old warped wood, haphazardly painted walls, poor and inconsistent WiFi and open holes in the wall for electrical connections. Plus the double bed has a weird hole in the mattress where you can feel the springs! When we tried to express that we were upset about the room and wifi, we were told that we had to wait two days to get a room change and that we must be incorrect about the wifi being a poor connection because no one else had complained. After two days of staying in our dilapidated room, we were finally given a new room after reminding them of what they promised us. It was like night and day. Still definitely not luxurious but better than before. The only saving grace was that the bathroom was mostly well done.

Room was very drab. Shower only had one setting i.e. scolding hot. Asked for an iron but was told they have no ironing boards. Mattress was a joke. So soft that when lying on one side, the opposite end lifted up. Terrible! Wouldn't stay again

Really odd and slightly run down hotel. Friendly and helpful staff but the rooms are noisy and a bit grotty. Initially I was given a room without a window and was told by reception staff that there was no guarantee of a window in my booking. The images of the rooms on the site all have windows and there was no warning that my room may not have one. Receptionist managed to.finde a room eventually. I was very grateful.

This hotel is very noisy. We stayed for 3 nights in a room facing the street. The club/restaurant across the street is very loud with people and music until after midnight every night. The street is also loud with cars. There was a lot of screaming on our floor one night then on the street, as well as alarms going off in the room. We left exhausted. The taps in our shower were so hard to turn that you were scorched with hot water. There is no safe in your rooms. There are no great restaurants or English hotels close by as not a great area except for power station and park.

In need of new furniture and freshening up faulty light switch broken drawers and furniture. This could be a really nice space in a great location just a little run down

Check in was friendly and easy. The room was not up to par with what’s advertised – wonky light fixtures, chipped furniture, masks all over the walls, a broken toilet handle. Aesthetically this made the stay not as luxe as it seemed to be.

We booked two rooms. We had to change one when we got there because the air conditioning was not working which without a window made it unbearable. The rom we swapped it fir was still very hot. The other roon had a shower where the water was boiling hot and could not be adjusted

Nice large room with clean modern bathroom. Having a kitchenette was a great feature and it was very well stocked with everything you could want. However the window did not close properly and the road outside was very noisy. The air conditioning did not work and the room was 28 degrees all night, in October. There was a fan but it didn't make much difference. No mattress protector used and bedding was quite tatty. Also bathroom lights were on a very short timer and kept going off while showering. Also meant you couldn't stop lights coming on if you went into the bathroom at night. Location was great for Battersea park, and very easy bus ride into Victoria. But I'm glad I only stayed one night.

Reservation was cancelled by hotel for no reason. No satisfactory explanation was given as to why this occurred. Had to get Expedia involved. Desk agent took a phone pic of cancellation but didn’t print it out. They wanted me to pay the hotel directly for the room. Nothing added up. After calling Expedia we were able to check in again but this really made the whole stay feel awkward. It also didn’t help that the room we were given was in the basement and had no windows. The pictures on Expedia were not at all accurate.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, quick and efficient check-in, room was clean and well decorated with transport links on the doorstep.

I recently booked a three-day stay for my family at Axiom Park Hotel through Expedia. However, upon arrival, we were greeted with the shocking news that our reservation had been canceled. Despite assuring the receptionist that I hadn't initiated any cancellation, they seemed convinced otherwise and provided little explanation for the mix-up. To add to the confusion, my booking still appeared as "BOOKED" on the Expedia website, and I continued to receive reminders from Expedia about our upcoming visit. The receptionist showed me a printout of email communication with Expedia regarding a cancellation, but it lacked crucial details such as names, dates of reservation, and the booking number didn't match mine. There was a handwritten note instructing to "call the guest at 2 PM," but I never received any such call. This experience was not only stressful but also incredibly disappointing. It's disheartening to encounter such a lack of clarity and accountability from the hotel staff, especially when we were left without accommodation for our planned stay. I urge Axiom Park Hotel to improve their communication and customer service to prevent such misunderstandings in the future. This experience has left a lasting impression, and I hope it can be rectified promptly.

I’ve stayed here quite a few times and can highly recommend it. Super concerned isn’t location and great value for money. Plus Jay and the team there are always polite and helpful

Terrible customer service window was smashed on arrival. Staff tried to blame me no attempt to fix it. No attempt to move me. The room was freezing cold.

Our stay was nice and comfortable. My grandma used a wheelchair and they places us in the first floor close to the entrance. I would say that the location is a little bit far from popular landmarks. We like to take the bus to see more of the streets so it was okay for us and also there are couple of dining options which I feel like the prices were pretty good. Overall the stay was fine!

The hotel was in an excellent location, a stones throw from Battersea Park, and conveniently located near buses and trains. Our room was huge and accommodated pur family of four easily. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel had a strange feel to it, however. It appeared to have undergone a renovation, with nice, modern decor, however there was damage/un-renovated parts throughout. For example, our bathroom was modern, however the toilet seat was broken (still useable), there were patched and unpatched holes in the walls and celings, the fixtures were new, but poor quality/not working 100%. Our room was grubby (e.g. walls were marked, floor was dusty and there were little hairs on the towels. The hotel has great potential if renovations were completed and cleanliness was enhanced. Additional facilities such as wifi in the rooms (rather than solely in the lobby), hairdryers in the room would be welcome additions.

Conveniently located in Battersea to Battersea Park and public transit. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom amenities were lacking: the water temperature in the shower was scalding, with no way to adjust. Also, washcloths were not provided and there was no shelf in the shower to put the soap/shower gel and shampoo. If these issues were remedied, it would improve this hotel's rating!

The location is excellent , very safe area , staff very polite, reception good, room was a bit tired, could do with a lick of paint, but bathroom was very clean and modern, beds were super comfortable and the room was very large at an excellent price for London. We discovered a hidden kitchen behind a door that we had no idea was there! Very quiet also

The room is dated, dusty even but the bathroom is clean. Quiet neighborhood, bus 344 and 44 stops right in front. Food stores nearby. They use physical key, don’t expect fancy card system. We used it for sleeping only and for that the price I paid worth it.

The hotel is convenient for Battersea Park and the rooms basic but comfy bed. Front of the hotel faces onto busy road but other rooms are quieter. No breakfast option isn't an issue as local shops stock products and the rooms have microwave, kettle, plates and cuttlery

The Axiom Park Hotel is excellent value for money. It is extremely affordable for an aparthotel and the quality of the rooms is as nice as much more expensive aparthotels. I stayed in the executive suite and the room was clean and comfortable, the amenities were new, and I was supplied with a kettle, fridge, microwave and dishes. The only thing not supplied that I could have wanted was a stovetop, but the microwave was fine. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location was great with a bus stop just outside the door and the train station an easy 15 minute walk away. There is a Budgens just across the road and a Tesco Express a 5 minute walk away. I very much enjoyed my stay.

I am a Dad with 2 kids and a wife of course. Visting London from Boston, US of A.I would stay here again if I come to London, Bcos 1) Best front desk support 2) responds to email 3) Bus stop in 10 Ft 4) Groceries opposite 5) Liquor store 2 min walk 6) Bangaladeshi food calls indian not that delicious. Ok Overall good location, safe for sure. Hope this helps.

Axiom is great place to stay when it comes to location and comfort. If you are out the majority of the day and not looking for a four-star hotel, Axiom gives you want you need. Great hot showers, good customer service, places nearby to eat and transportation is great from this location. I would stay there again.
