No elevator. Room too small

Good location. Only quip, no lift and narrow, steep stairs between 3rd and 4th floor. Good staff.

The room was very fresh and clean. Comfortable bed and good shower and a quiet area. There is no lift though to the room floors and no air conditioning but there was a portable fan in the room.

Hotel was nice but we were on the 4th floor and the hotel had no lift which was difficult for my wife as she is a heavy smoker so struggled with the stairs. There was also no air conditioning but there was a plug in fan.

No lift. The stair is too narrow.

Although there’s no lift at the venue, the staff helped us carry the luggage.

This property was very good. It was in great shape for being so old. We had a good time here. No elevator so be prepared to walk up the steps.

The area was nice, very close to a big station, a lot of small stores, the personal very nice, but climbing to 3rd and 4th floor was a slow way to die with luggage

There aren’t any elevators/lifts. That’s not too much of a problem despite having a lot of luggage for our type of trip. However the hallways are narrow. There’s a surcharge for breakfast which I wasn’t aware of. I decided to spend money elsewhere for breakfast instead of the hotel’s since theirs was sparse. A decent place to rest my head. Would I choose a different hotel next time? Yes.

Good location. 10 min walk to Paddington station. Restaurants located within walking distance. Close to Hyde Park. Comfortable beds! Room has no A/C and only 1 fan so it was very warm. Friendly staff.

This was a terrible experience! Do not stay here. The front desk person was rude. Our room was in the basement, the ceiling had a leak, the sink did not drain. The shower was so small, you could not turn around. I asked to be moved to another room as we were staying there for 6 days. I was told NO! Upon checkout, at 11:05 as we were leaving the room, the same rude staff person was at our door making sure we were leaving.

The area was the only positive aspect. But the hotel itself was a 0 star. The first 2 days we had only cold water and the response of the hotel was only „this is weird“ but they did nothing or didn‘t even checked in our rooms. One of our friend had bed bugs in her room and talked to the manager directly. The manager gave a really unfriendly response and said „we can‘t do anything about this right now“. We made pressure that they give us a new room, but this took 1 day. After discussing many times with the hotel, the manager was not really cooperative. We ask for our money back for the one night our friend couldn’t slept because of the bed bugs. But the hotel has completely shirked it’s responsibility. I wouldn’t recommend booking the hotel.

I had to leave around midnight because I found what looked A LOT like bedbugs in my bed. The front desk was staff was understanding but management refused to authorize a refund. I don't recommend risking bedbugs despite the price and somewhat convenient location.

I almost never write any negative comments, but I was told to do so by so friends and family after seeing all the bedbug bites on my body. Yes, I got over 30 bedbug bites during my stay in this hotel. Therefore I can only give a one-star rating for the cleanliness. The mattress was saggy, which suggests that it's old. I hope they have a thorough check on the beds after reading this comment. I'm sorry but I don't want any more tourists to go through the same thing I'm going through.

The Hotel was very clean, being from the US we are somewhat spoiled. And this hotel met our expectations on cleanliness and overall service. They had a continental breakfast, which looked good, but we never got a chance to try it. They offer late check out, huge win and offered to hold our bags. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared. They even offered to help with bags. Great overall experience.

Cracked sink, broken mirror, wood screw holding sliding shower doors together and can's and a bottle of wine left in the floor outside our patio door, asked the staff if we could move to a different room, but got no joy,

Enjoyed our stay, the area felt safe walking around at night time, Room was lovely and clean, bedding was changed daily, all the staff we came across were very friendly Great access to the underground and Hyde Park, Would definitely return without hesitation

Their “solution” was to have the people directly above us stop their shower. When I went to ask for help again because it continued no one was to be found to help. Tried contacting management about a refund as we did not want to continue our stay given the circumstances and still have yet to hear back.

Bed was comfortable, but the curtains didn't keep the morning light out of the room (luckily I had an eye mask for the 2nd morning) and the walls we super thin - I could easily hear the occupants of the next room talking and their alarm in the morning sounded like it was on my bedside table! Also no outlets or lamps on the bedside tables. Nonetheless, the hotel is in a great walkable area with lots of shops and places to eat nearby.

The hotel is in a stunning area, close to multiple tube stations and lots of shops and spots to eat or drink. The room itself was roomy and clean, with a great bathroom and a bed that was shockingly comfy. Daily fresh towels and coffee/tea, which is was very pleasantly surprised by. Also, solo travellers: This is the spot for you if you're afraid of feeling unsafe for whatever reason. The area almost felt like a little village, safe and welcoming.

The room was very small but we knew that so I’m not deducting stars for that. There was zero room decor. Nothing. White walls. Nothing anywhere. There was no warning of the 73 very steep (and some very narrow) steps to our room. Our “double” bed was, in fact, two twins pushed together. They were slightly different heights with one quite squeaky. Towels were thin & rough. Shower corners were a bit dirty. No AC. Grateful the window opened wide although our friends room window only opened 5 inches. Heat was a small portable heater but we did not need that while staying. Sink in bathroom was very small with low pressure. The shower water pressure was so poor there was no way any of us could wash hair. And the water temperature changed constantly throughout each shower from scalding to cold to normal. Great location! Easy walk from Paddington Station.

The hotel was cute and comfortable. There is no elevator so you do have to carry your bags up and downstairs. The bathroom shower was small.

Great stay! Close to tube stop and lots of restaurants, as well as Kensington Park. Room was bigger than I expected. Our one downside was that our basement room was directly below the breakfast area, so it was really loud every morning by 7, with the moving of chairs. Otherwise, a great spot to explore the city from.

The room was smaller than expected, and my friend got a much bigger room for the same price (was suppose to be the same size). To have a shower I had to hold the shower head as it was kind of falling off the wall. Could not fill water bottle in the sink either. Room was also boiling hot, even though it was cool-ish outside. Staff could be friendlier. Breakfast selection was poor.

One night stay for a football match and an early train home. Ideal location 15 mins from Paddington station and close to Queensway tube. Single room, comfy bed and a nice size bathroom. Check in and out was quick and easy.

Staff was very polite and assisted with carrying luggage up and down the stairs. Breakfast selection was mediocre, but what breakfast there was, was fine. Short walk to Paddington Station, so very convenient, and close to good restaurants.

A member of housekeeping broke my travel clock. The reception staff could not have cared less and would not compensate me for the damaged clock. Terrible customer service. I will not stay here again.

Well to begin, we’re a family of 5 adults that booked 2 rooms and we all agreed that this was the worst hotel we have ever experienced. We are all avid travelers and have stayed in a variety of hotels (boutique types, luxury, B&B, etc) and this is by far the worst. We were treated poorly from the instant that we walked in and the ill -treatment continued until the day we checked out and by ALL staff members (they were all equally rude). It seemed like we were all a nuisance for them from the start and customers service is non existent at this place. The rooms are extremely small and uncomfortable, which is expected at this type of hotel, however, one of the rooms felt like a boiler room for some reason (even on cool 50s- 60 degree nights with the window open). We couldn’t figure out how the hallway was cooler than the room. The room also seemed to be an old storage room that was turned into a room. We asked to be moved and the staff very sternly said nothing else was available, and when I say sternly I mean condescending and dismissive. To be clear, we would have possibly been better off at a hostel. We hated the thought of going back to the hotel every night we were there! It’s a shame that this place left such a bad taste because it was the first stop of our family trip and it was extremely disappointing and disheartening to experience such discourtesy! We are a very friendly bunch who are easy going very understanding we don’t like be an inconvenience but this was dreadful

After calling three times during the day of arrival to advise I would be a late check in, I turned up at 9pm to be told my booking was cancelled and my room had effectively been given away. Expedia were amazing and provided a full refund as the hotel refused to offer any explanation to them as to why my room was cancelled. A dirty hotel and even worse customer service.

Good location it was an 8 minute walk from the main metro circle line and a 12 min walk to Paddington station.

Easily accessible from Paddington (6 minute walk from the Elizabeth line exit), good value for money.

A lovely, inexpensive boutique hotel in a charming London neighborhood. Near Hyde Park, Bayswater Tube, and Paddington train station, there are plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby. The hotel is clean, well-kept, and moderately priced - a terrific value. Kuldeep and MK were very helpful. I needed to print documents and store luggage, and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend this spot.

Great location and in a very nice area. I chose this area because of all the food options and its proximity to Hyde Park. The room was more spacious than I was expecting and overall clean and comfortable. But what made the stay was the staff. They were hospitable, friendly, and attentive. Due note there is no lift at the moment so if stairs are in issue then try to get a ground or first floor room, but I was told a lift is in the plans.

This hotel was perfect for our needs, close to transport hubs and city centre, local eateries, safe location, quiet at night and a comfortable, clean room. Well priced for what you got.

Great location! From the hotel you can either walk or take the underground located nearby to get wherever you want and explore the amazing city of London. Come back at the end of the day to this quiet neighborhood to unwind and rest. The hotel offers the convenient option of having breakfast on site if this might suit your needs. Our room was on the smaller side but clean and comfortable and all the essentials were provided. The staff is amicable and the service excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great and affordable stay in London.

Property was well located and walkable to and from Paddington or Baywater stations. Rooms were decent, but the hotel did not have an elevator so our bags were brought up to our rooms. Staff were kind and helpful, and continental breakfast offered with the room was good.

The property is an Victorian House with nice rooms. Very clean an a good breakfast.
