The Kimball was nice. Great location.. older furnishings. The one suggestion I would make is for the property to have the coffee room open before 9:00 a.m. so that people who are traveling could have access to a cup of coffee in the morning before they leave.

The Kimball is in a great location for being close to Temple Square, the Conference Center and City Creek shopping Mall. When I was looking at the property details, it said there wasn't an elevator. However, there is an elevator which was absolutely great! The only drawback for me, was the fact that the tub/ shower was difficult for me to get into due to the tub being exceptionally high to step over into it. The shower door is attached on a metal glide on the tub edge and so i couldn't sit on the edge and swing my legs over. I had to have my husband help me. It was even a bit difficult for him to step over the edge and he's 6' 1". The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchenette to be able to fix some of our meals there.

2 apartment buildings conjoined to create this funky hotel. Funky because the 2 buildings have different levels so each floor involves going up/down steps and/or ramps and still be in same floor. This could be problematic for people with mobility issues. If that’s you, Be sure to request room by the elevator, which is on level section. But the check in desk is NOT available without going up or down several steps. One of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed!!

Easy booking and check-in process. Service how it should be from the front desk. Room was spacious and clean. Kitchen went unused but a great option. Decor is retro and met my needs. Located near downtown and many options for outdoor exercise. Gym was a bit small but had was needed for a short hotel workout.

There were a few discrepancies on the website. Was looking forward to the sauna and jacuzzi but were not available due to remodeling(?) The bed in the one bedroom condo was listed as a king size and it was a queen. I did enjoy the deep tub for a bath and having the convenience of the full kitchen.

Room and property are superb. Steps to Temple Square and many dining and shopping options. Full kitchen and suite was more than I expected. Clean and well-appointed fitness center and laundry facilities make the Kimball my new go-to hotel when in Salt Lake City. Highly recommend!

The Kimball was a pleasant surprise! Kori at the front desk was delightful and so accommodating. The community hot tub was being remodeled so she tried to find us a room with its own hot tub. While it isn’t happen, she made sure to contact me within our first hour of being there to let us know. The hot well pressurized shower made up for the lack of hot tub. The rooms and kitchen were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was ample parking and a huge ice machine. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location, safe, clean and easy to check in and out. Onsite parking is convenient. It's dated but very functional and quiet. Temple construction in the area may affect traffic but you can enter from the north just fine.

This was ideal for us mid way through a 3 week road trip. It was a comfortable central hotel within easy walking distance of the city centre. Although no breakfast was provided there was a full kitchen so you could prepare your own meals. There is a laundry and reception can provide detergent etc and a very comfortable lounge with coffee. Parking was free and there were plenty of spaces

In town for work meetings. Front staff was great, found another room for me because the first had a terrible smell. Second room was nice, large Jacuzzi tub. BUT half of jacuzzi tub floor was covered with grimy shadow, and discovered later that evening that the shower stall was very dirty! The grout looked like it had not been cleaned in months - with black mold between the ceiling tiles in the shower! Mold like that does not grow in a week, or even a month! Serious lack of cleanliness and sanitary conditions. Ended up having to try and "shower" in the Jacuzzi in the morning because I didn't want to step foot inside the shower, very inconvenient. I was in work meetings from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Front office hours are 9-7 so never had an opportunity to talk to anyone after my initial check-in. Pillows felt like they were 20 years old. Very disappointed, will not be returning.

Was notified by front desk folks that there was a problem with the A/C prior to my arrival. They graciously provided a solution, as well as facilitated after-hours access to the property and key. Room was clean and well-appointed. Beds were comfortable and check-out was smooth and efficient. Would recommend highly! A+++

this was a quaint hotel that was near the main part of Salt Lake City. We found the rooms musty and had to keep the fan on and the windows open. By doing that, the room was fine.

Fantastic updated hotel that was formerly an apartment complex...huge rooms, new decor, very comfortable. I had a full apartment with a living room, dining area, kitchen, bath and bedroom; will definitly stay there again.

Room was clean, checkin process easy. However, the coldest the AC would go was 68 and our room was a bit stuffy. We had to open window to cool further which let in a lot of traffic noise (although it died down after 11pm or so). Room had a slightly musty odor. Bed was comfortable. Overall, I would recommend.

Excellent, quiet location across from Conference Center. Building and design are dated, there were 2 steps up to bedroom from living area and the hotel has random steps that would not be handicap friendly. Room was spacious and included a jetted tub. King mattress was just ok, but sleeper sofa mattress was completely unusable. We had our teenage son with us and the mattress literally had NO PADDING, my son had to fold the bed back up and sleep on it as a sofa. It's pretty bad if a teenage boy can't sleep on it. The front desk apologized and said most of them have been replaced. This room should not be booked for anyone relying on the extra bed. Full kitchen was very nice and stocked with all basics. Bathroom toiletries skimpy (tiniest soap and shampoo; no conditioner). I would stay again.

Was shocked that the front desk was closed when we got there and no notice that they would close early. Thank goodness someone let us in and I got the number to call for assistance. The door wasn't closed good so when we got there, the door was open and no key needed to get in. Lots of steps and no real directions on where to go so we had a little difficulty finding our unit, had to carry all our stuff up and down stairs quite a bit. Cable tv was horrible, biggest downfall.

The door to my room was unlocked when I got there, and it was very hard to lock once I was inside. So, I just stayed in the room the whole day and night from fear of not being able to lock the door back. The hotel/condo property was outdated, and you had to use stairs to get to the elevator. We had an after hours check in and it wasn’t a straightforward process. It took 20 minutes by the time we got someone on the phone to help and enable us to get in. The hotel is quite old and rooms could use a big makeover. Everything was relatively clean. Very close to the city centre so it was great to be able to walk everywhere.
We had an after hours check in and it wasn’t a straightforward process. It took 20 minutes by the time we got someone on the phone to help and enable us to get in. The hotel is quite old and rooms could use a big makeover. Everything was relatively clean. Very close to the city centre so it was great to be able to walk everywhere.

Charming old apartment building converted to a hotel. Spacious rooms that are clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. I wish the front desk had longer hours or that the night staff could answer questions. I asked 3 times about late check out and still don’t have an answer about tomorrow morning. Other than no cable, I’d stay here again.

I was in communication with this property for several weeks prior to our stay about parking, as they can only guarantee one space per room. Thankfully this part worked out. It took about 30 min to check in after hours because i literally spent 15 min on their after hours phone waiting for the clerk to answer. Once he did, he did, it took another 10 min for him to figure out the code for the safe to get my keys. After 2 texts to his supervisor, he gave me instructions on parking. There were 2 other families waitng after me to check in. After several other small things like a broken chair that pinched my daughter's buttocks through her pants, they ended the bad week with half the hotel losing power and me having to haul all my family's suitcases down several flights of stairs due to the elevator being down with the power. They had a bad week!

The hotel is fine, but expensive for what it is. The hotel is pretty old but the rooms are ok. When I stayed all the roads around the hotel were blocked closed for a Red Bull event and the hotel did not communicate this or give directions of how to park. This would prevent me from staying with them again.

So close to Temple Square. If doing genealogy research at the Family History Center, this is a perfect place to stay. The rooms have kitchenette- great for saving $ on meals. If you’re wondering, they do have coffee machine (this is SLC!). Salt Lake City was beautiful, very clean, and friendly.

Fantastic location, safe, clean and easy to check in and out. Onsite parking is convenient. It's dated but very functional and quiet. Temple construction in the area may affect traffic but you can enter from the north just fine.

The Kimball was nice. Great location.. older furnishings. The one suggestion I would make is for the property to have the coffee room open before 9:00 a.m. so that people who are traveling could have access to a cup of coffee in the morning before they leave.

When you can find a discount/deal on their rooms, they are hard to beat! Been here twice now and will always try to stay here when I'm in the area, if I can find a discounted room, cuz they are more than worth it at that point. Only downside is no breakfast.

The Kimbell was a great place to stay for our visit to Salt Lake City. The room was well equipped and we were able to self cater. Spacious, clean, good shower and comfortable bed.

This was ideal for us mid way through a 3 week road trip. It was a comfortable central hotel within easy walking distance of the city centre. Although no breakfast was provided there was a full kitchen so you could prepare your own meals. There is a laundry and reception can provide detergent etc and a very comfortable lounge with coffee. Parking was free and there were plenty of spaces
