San Diego Guest House near Beach

Avoid if possible. Booked last minute and would not go back. Check-in took a long time due to the host overly explaining past guest behaviour, sneaking people in to rooms or being drunk. Overall the host was quite intense. £25 was asked for in cash to cover the potential loss of keys. We were offered a choice of 3 different rooms all with things wrong. Broken toilet, stinking of smoke or super small. When we came back to the property in the evening at around 9pm, we were followed to our room and had a knock on the door to come look. Presumably to check we were not drunk or brought anyone else in. As 2 woman we found our experience of staying here highly uncomfortable. We only booked it last minute due to having a day at the pleasure beach.

Turn up already paid for the hotel and they was no booking Poor service

Bit expensive for basically a hostel, but close to the beach and entertainment. Didn’t like having to ask for towels, and the sheets were dirty which I didn’t notice until the morning.

Great staff, very welcoming and extremely helpful.

This establishment was not clean to start off with. My bedding was filthy - still had someokes skid marks on the sheets. There were socks next to the bedside table that were covered in dust so god knows how long its been there. The furniture was falling apart and the lock to the room didnt feel very secure. To top it off the owner tried to make me pay again even though it was prepaid through expedia. I would not even send my worst enemy to this hotel
