This hotel is close enough to downtown Reykjavik, but not in the heart of it -- which means it was quiet and not rambunctious at night. Staff are super friendly, and breakfast is top notch. The elevator is a little slow, but I think it's great that it's wheelchair friendly. Parking is super easy. My only hesitation to giving this place 5 stars is that the daily cleaning service doesn't seem to use a vacuum-- we unfortunately had to lug our luggage through gravel at the airport parking lot, so we had some sand/gravel that fell from the bags. They never disappeared even after cleaning service was performed.

This property was very pleasant. There was no one to check us in but we got full instructions on how to do it and there was someone on site to help us if we needed it. The rooms are stylish but not large. Very clean and comfortable. Easy parking. Breakfast was excellent.

Loved this hotel. It was the best hotel I stayed in while in Iceland. The room looks brand new. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Quality towels with a towel warmer. It has all the amenities you need in a hotel room. Great coffee available 24 hours day. Free breakfast and parking. Personable staff.

Petit hôtel tout neuf, qui fonctionne avec un système de code pour ouvrir les portes. Accueil très sympatique et parking gratuit. A quelques minutes en voiture du centre de Reykjavík, mais vu le problème de zone de stationnement en centre ville, on a apprécié notre choix. Chambre spacieuse, très belle SDB, et literie confortable. Petit déjeuner varié avec de bons produits. A recommander sans hésiter.

We enjoyed our two nights at Hotel Lotus. The biggest issue was with our arrival. There is only someone at the front desk until 9 pm. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30pm, it was obviously dark, windy and 30°F. The code they provided us in advance to open the front door did not work. We had to use the "assistance" button 4 times before we were in touch with an employee who after several tries was able to open the door for us. That was not the best start to our stay. After getting through that, the stay was fine. The hotel is nicely located so you can walk throughout the downtown area.

This was the best room we stayed in on our three week trip to different countries. We got a junior suite and it was huge! It was modern and so comfortable. Very pleased and shocked at the size and comfortable chairs and bed.

A little bit off of the main Laugeveger but a close drive. Room was very nice and spacious and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had warm tiles and a big shower. Would definitely stay there again.

Highly recommend reserving the room with balcony over the standard room. We stayed here on two separate nights at the beginning and at the end of our trip and there is a huge difference in the rooms. The regular rooms are really small, as is the bathroom. You can make it work but the room with the balcony is a lot more functional for not much more. They are also in a much better location whereas the standard room can put you right at the entrance of the hotel which is a bit noisy. All that said, the location is fantastic for anyone with a rental car, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and everything was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here, both times, even in the smaller room.

Nice hotel, mostly self service. Single rooms are very small with a very small bed and bathroom. Room nice and toasty once you turn up radiator setting. Breakfast nice but with limited options. Staff friendly and welcoming. Bus to and from the airport stops right outside.

This is a smaller boutique hotel. It was probably the best hotel room I ever stayed at. The room was luxurious and cozy with moody lighting and modern decor. The washroom felt like a spa - heated floors / towel warmer. Breakfast is included in your stay and it was delicious. Wish I stayed 2 nights instead of 1!

Our stay at Hotel Lotus was fantastic. The staff are so kind, friendly and accommodating, granting us early check-in after a long flight. The breakfast selection was delicious and we were looking forward to it every morning. The rooms were newly renovated and had everything we needed. Next time I am in Reykjavik, I will definitely be returning to Hotel Lotus! :)

Stayed in 205 and 305. Very spaious including bathroom. Like firmness of bed and abundance of electrical outlets. Annoying master light switch setup as the bedside reading light cant be turned on by itself once turned on all lights go on too except bathroom yet bathroom light switch is on the other side away from the door. In 205 there’s a missing towel hook. In 305, rain got into the unit from the window. Tech said caused by roof problem.

I arrived early and my room was still occupied. The wonderful woman at the desk offered me breakfast, put my bags in storage, and gave me a map along with suggestions. I went out for the day and my bags were in my room when I arrived back to check in. The people here are very nice and helpful! My room was modern and clean. It was very quiet , even during the day. I slept well on the comfy bed. The hotel is at the southern edge of the city, but it’s a short walk to the bus stop. I definitely recommend staying here!

If I am ever back in Reykjavik, this is the only place I would stay. I would book my trip around the availability dates for this hotel. It is a quick walk to downtown Reykjavik (by quick I mean about 20 minutes or so) and all the sites you would want to see. The place was very clean. I could find no fault with that aspect. The room itself was very nice and the bed was so comfortable. The thing that makes this hotel a standout though, is the staff. They were the most helpful, kind, and lovely people. Each and every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. Every question I asked about sites to see or places to eat was answered so thoroughly and pointed out on a map. Not just pointed out on a map, but circled as well, with a walking route drawn to it. One morning my friend and I wanted a taxi to downtown and the owner actually drove us herself! I have never had such a wonderful customer service experience. I cannot rave about this beautiful, clean, safe, friendly hotel enough. If you are wondering about staying here, don't. Just stay. You won't regret it.

The room itself was very nice and the bed was so comfortable. The thing that makes this hotel a standout though, is the staff. They were the most helpful, kind, and lovely people. Each and every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. Every question I asked about sites to see or places to eat was answered so thoroughly and pointed out on a map. Not just pointed out on a map, but circled as well, with a walking route drawn to it. One morning my friend and I wanted a taxi to downtown and the owner actually drove us herself! I have never had such a wonderful customer service experience. I cannot rave about this beautiful, clean, safe, friendly hotel enough. If you are wondering about staying here, don't. Just stay. You won't regret it.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in a little early after our overnight international flight. They offered a nice breakfast to start our day. There is also a great pizza place next door.

Absolutely fantastic service. I checked in and had asked to use the drier as my riding gear was wet and was leaving early the the day for home, the lovely lady dried my gear and returned it to my room while I had gone for dinner. Very kind. Would definitely stay again.

Very happy with my stay here. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I came into town on the Flybus and walked to Hotel Lotus from the BSI bus terminal (should have booked transport directly to hotel, or nearby, which was my fault). After walking with a large wheeled suitcase through slushy snow, I arrived at the hotel several hours before check in, hoping to at least have a place to just drop off my luggage. They were super accommodating and allowed me to take a rest in the breakfast area and even have a plate of food while my room was being cleaned, then came and got me when it was ready. I really appreciated them going the extra mile to accommodate and would definitely stay here again!

The host was fantastic. It was a nice boutique style hotel. It has an excellent breakfast and I heard multiple people complementing the host over it. I arrived early on my first day, and the host was able to accommodate me with an early check-in, which was quite nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and already have to several friends of mine

This hotel is close enough to downtown Reykjavik, but not in the heart of it -- which means it was quiet and not rambunctious at night. Staff are super friendly, and breakfast is top notch. The elevator is a little slow, but I think it's great that it's wheelchair friendly. Parking is super easy. My only hesitation to giving this place 5 stars is that the daily cleaning service doesn't seem to use a vacuum-- we unfortunately had to lug our luggage through gravel at the airport parking lot, so we had some sand/gravel that fell from the bags. They never disappeared even after cleaning service was performed.

Stayed at the Lotus Hotel in mid-Jun for 2 nights, in what I think was one of the main suites. We had an excellent experience. Room was stylish, spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and were offering help and guidance on the city to many guests at breakfast. Everything was easy. It’s a bit of a trek into the city centre but perfectly walkable in 30 minutes if the weather is nice. There is also a bus stop just a couple of minutes away.

I utilized this, and the staff member was really nice and helpful. The breakfast set up, selection and staff member was fabulous! Having a vehicle is an asset to use this location.

Hotel Lotus is a wonderful hotel. Its modern updated style is nice and the room and beds are very comfortable. It has a nice selection of breakfast foods and is location within walking distance of downtown Reykjavik. We chatted with the owner and she was very nice. She provided recommendations of things to do and see.

Nice hotel, mostly self service. Single rooms are very small with a very small bed and bathroom. Room nice and toasty once you turn up radiator setting. Breakfast nice but with limited options. Staff friendly and welcoming. Bus to and from the airport stops right outside.

Would definitely stay here again. Very convenient location that's not too far from the main city, and groceries/pharmacy is a short walk across the street if needed. The breakfast was a nice addition. Plenty of options to choose from, outside the typical scrambled eggs and bacon.

The breakfast was excellent, lots of a variety and well presented. We were leaving before the breakfast was available on our last day, they prepared us sandwiches that we picked up on our way out. It was a 20 minute walk to shops and restaurants, the big mall is a 10 minutes away as well. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

We were given a room that was so small it should have been a closet. Tiny bathroom. The worse part was that it was right in front of someone’s driveway and the hotel parking lot in the back. You could hear everything outside from their doors, patios and of course you had cars driving in and out right in front of you. No privacy, no room, breakfast was limited and poor if you compare to other hotels in the area. Definitely not what we expected for the price we paid. We moved the next night.
