A great location, super friendly staff who can't do enough, and rooms with real personality. The room came with it's own guitar, a record player (albeit previous guests had ruined most of the records in the room, bunch of savages!), 3 mini bar fridges plus a regular fridge. The bed was super comfortable, plus the hotel really encourages you to be eco friendly - lights are on timers, the shower gel, washing liquid, and even the loo roll were from certified B companies, which I loved. Great blinds for the rooms, so you can block out the outside without necessarily blocking out the daylight, or you can drop the blackout blind when it's bedtime. If I had to pick at something: the room didn't really have much control of the temperature (no radiators or air conditioning that you can control), but they do supply a nice Dyson fan that can heat or cool the area by the bed. The windows didn't do a great job of blocking out the sounds that you kinda expect in a city centre location like this. They weren't terrible, but you might need to earplugs!

The perfect hotel for beer lovers! The first floor bar is relaxed and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. Guests of the hotel can order beers to their rooms and the kitchen makes fully loaded hot dogs 24 hours a day! It really is a unique and fun experience to sleep above a brewery tap room! The rooms are spacious and trendy, although there is a lack of insulation so it gets cold in the winter (and hot in the summer). The hotel does help by giving you a Dyson heating/cooling fan which is effective for an area about 10 feet around the fan. The bathroom is the real standout, with a personal beer fridge that will allow you to have your daily “shower beer” in comfort (for a small upcharge). One of the most comfortable, creative and fun hotels we have seen in Europe!

Very pleasant stay. FUN property and great location right off the Royal Mile. We stayed in a lower loft room that was spacious. Ate dinner one night and the food was great too. Free drink at check-in! Two things to note: You enter on the side, and will be required to haul luggage a few steps. Also, there is no AC (but this is Scotland). Get in early and open the windows to get fresh air circulating for a comfortable sleep.

This place is cool but - and maybe this is obvious - EXTREMELY beer-centric. If you’re super into beer, you’ll probably love it. If you aren’t, it’s still fine, just probably not ideal. Also, there’s no elevator from the ground floor.

Lots of cool BrewDog details throughout the building. The breakfast options were really good. All the staff were lovely and super helpful. The room was lovely, we had a 4 month old baby and a dog with us and everything was set up ready when we got there. Baby travel cot provided was nice and clean. The facilities were lovely, a nice communal area to relax. The experience definitely exceeded our expectations, would highly recommend. Only gripe was the parking suggested - it was clear the NCP car parking the hotel suggest has a problem with people misusing the space. We saw people using the space to take drugs when we arrived, it smelt of urine and there was blood along the staircases. A staff member of NCP mentioned to us that they are trying to make changes to reduce antisocial behaviour. Nothing to do with the hotel directly but in the future we would park at a different option and forgo the discounted parking which the hotel offer.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the BrewDog DogHouse in Edinburgh (albeit maybe not the lack of elevator to the top floor)! So fun! BrewDog thought of everything with every detail a delight: candies in the atrium, friendly notes and help from staff with every detail of the stay, clever accessories, and delicious food and drink--including for vegans! Location was delightful; just off the Royal Mile and convenient to everything. We very much appreciated their attention to the environment and thought rewarding clients for reusing their towels with a beer was a very fun touch. We'll be looking for a DogHouse again on our travels.

Loved this place. The employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The decor was fun and funky. The terrace bar was a great place to relax and grab a drink and the beer was delicious.

I can't stop talking about our amazing stay at BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh! We arrived 1 hour prior to check-in and, although our room wasn't quite ready, the friendly staff greeted us with smiles and welcome beers. I've never felt more welcomed to a hotel before! We were later escorted to our room and walked into what felt like a palace. I've never stayed in such a well thought out, clean, sexy room. I'm not the type of person to take pictures or videos of my hotel rooms, but they're also usually not this impressive! I immediately recorded a walk-through video of our entire room - nay, LOFT APARTMENT - and you can hear my giddy excitement as I explain every detail. (I'd upload said video here, but it looks like the review only accepts photos) My husband and I were so excited to see a kitchenette, place for a keg, snacks and drinks for purchase, a shower beer fridge (!!), and a record player. The city of Edinburgh has a lot to offer, but man was it hard to leave our amazing room. There was also a sign telling us that if we reused our towels, we would get 1 token/day for a free beer to be redeemed at one of the 2 (!!) bars onsite. All of these little touches made for a fantastic stay. The piece de resistance was probably the included daily breakfast. We ordered it via room service the first morning and luxuriated in the offerings. AND, there's a 24/7 candy buffet in the atrium, which I have to say we used EVERY DAY. 11/10, five stars. We are spoiled for other hotels now!

Perfectly located within walking distance of transport hubs and all of the sights and sounds of Edinburgh. Bar and reception staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had brunch (served until 3pm) included - all food was really delicious. Very spacious work area for hotel guests with unlimited coffee and a 24/7 pick n mix. We stayed in one of the punk suites which had a full kitchen and was a really nice space. Only downside was room cleaning; floors weren't hoovered or mopped during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed 3 nights at your hotel, although the free breakfasts were great, the housekeeper chose not to clean our room, only made the bed the 2nd night. They offered laundry services, but after holding our laundry for more than 24 hours, we received it back dirty. Had to wash pants in the bathroom sink. They didn't have any trashcan on the 2nd floor, as well as no sugars or creamers in the room, even though they offered tea and coffee. Overall, we liked our stay, but probably wouldn't stay there again. All the folks at the front counter and restaurant were very nice and helpful.

I can't find words to describe how awesome this experience was! Not only the hotel, but also the drinks, food and of course the always welcoming and super friendly staff members. I traveled there on my birthday and received birthday wishes right on my arrival. I was also greeted with a free bottle of sparkling wine and a personal note in the hotel room. I knew BrewDog for over a year and as a huge fan of their beers and other quality drinks, this was the perfect stay for my next trip to Edinburgh! But not only the drinks were perfect - even as a vegetarian, I had plenty of choices at the food menu. Many amenities can be found everywhere - a free water tap (also with sparkling water available), sweets, even a free beer for every day you keep your towels instead of getting them changed. The atmosphere in the bar and the hotel is just breathtaking and a unique experience. It feels retro and modern at the same time. Great music playing everywhere and everything is so unbelievably clean. If I could, I would rate you even more stars. Thank you to everyone at BrewDog and at the Doghouse! You made this vacation really special!

This was a friends trip to Scotland. We thought Myko poked fun about concerns over the stairs. One of us had dealt with cancer. Another has to have double knee replacement. Also, the toilet on first floor was dirty. There was a sewer smell on the second floor.

Great location. The while place needs a sprucing up, though. Our suite needed to be painted, it just looked dingy and had scuff marks all over the place. Our bathroom shower area had black mold and bacteria all around the edges on all sides. It was so disgusting. The shower also never fully drained, so there was always a pool of water in the shower. If it hadn't been during high season, we would have found a different hotel. We paid for a deluxe experience and definitely didn't get it. I would never stay here again.

Great staff. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Some smaller issues with electrical blinds in our rooms as well as a bit late housekeeping (16:00). Some maintenance done at 09:00 one morning. Room (Captains Suite) was spacious and clean. A bit noice form the street outside. It’s a brand experience hotel, and could use some minor adjustments here and there. Ex more thorough housekeeping and refills on body wash etc. But other than that, super friendly staff and young vibe typ of property.

Five minutes from the railway station. 15 minutes to the castle. Location was perfect. The hotel is super quirky and exactly for our tastes. From a guitar, keg and turntable in the room to a brewery downstairs. What more could to ask for.

We had a great experience overall. Fun and very cool and different. Can't beat sitting down for a few great beers and then walking up one flight to your room, or walking through a few doors to the lounge reserved for guests. Staff were so nice and helpful. The only downside was how hot the room was--it was really difficult to sleep in the loft bedroom. A little Dyson fan thing came with the room and that helped only a tiny bit. In retrospect we should have asked for an additional fan, but just something to be aware of if you are there in the summer and the temperature gets up into the 80-degree F range. We would stay here again for sure, but maybe in the Fall/Winter when the heat won't be an issue.

The room was amazing, with a kitchrn area, record player and albums to play and a mezzanine bedroom. It was like an mini flat! We ordered the shower beer, which quirky! Loved the whole vibe and will definitely be back!

Hotel staff were super friendly and the room was great - very unique. I appreciated the welcome drink. The only issue I had was with the hot water when showering would routinely go from warm to very hot. This occurred numerous times during each shower over my 2-day stay. It’s better than a cold shower though.

This hotel is a cool hotel. Rooms have a fridge for beer in the shower. Rooms also have a guitar and turn table. Excellent location. Close to the Train Station and Royal Mile. Staff was outstanding. Rooms are split level and its a Dog Friendly hotel.

Very accommodating staff. We got there early & they took our suitcases up & gave us a complimentary drink while we waited to be able to check in. Was surprised how quiet it was in the room. Had a nice lounge with coffee/water available 24/7. Didn’t really enjoy the breakfast but that was personal preference. Did get charged for breakfast one day even though it was supposed to be free bc they way undercooked my egg & I sent it back. Also you only get one coffee with the meal & are charged for the second. Would’ve been nice to of been told that but wasn’t that big of a deal. The staff was so nice & good at their jobs, we just kept that in mind the rest of the days. Would stay again.

I can't stop talking about our amazing stay at BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh! We arrived 1 hour prior to check-in and, although our room wasn't quite ready, the friendly staff greeted us with smiles and welcome beers. I've never felt more welcomed to a hotel before! We were later escorted to our room and walked into what felt like a palace. I've never stayed in such a well thought out, clean, sexy room. I'm not the type of person to take pictures or videos of my hotel rooms, but they're also usually not this impressive! I immediately recorded a walk-through video of our entire room - nay, LOFT APARTMENT - and you can hear my giddy excitement as I explain every detail. (I'd upload said video here, but it looks like the review only accepts photos) My husband and I were so excited to see a kitchenette, place for a keg, snacks and drinks for purchase, a shower beer fridge (!!), and a record player. The city of Edinburgh has a lot to offer, but man was it hard to leave our amazing room. There was also a sign telling us that if we reused our towels, we would get 1 token/day for a free beer to be redeemed at one of the 2 (!!) bars onsite. All of these little touches made for a fantastic stay. The piece de resistance was probably the included daily breakfast. Great location- within walking distance to Royal Mile , train station and plenty of restaurants & shopping. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. If there was anything to note that could have been better it was the shower area- and lacks hot water. Great stay! Would absolutely stay here again.

Miko and his staff are THE best. This is the only place we will stay in Edinburgh! It is right off the Royal Mile and walkable from the Tram or train. Lots of pubs and eateries close by, but BrewDogs has great food and drinks. The rooms are clean, spacious, quiet and feel like home. The atrium is a bonus with coffee, candy, and a wonderful seating area. Breakfast is included and so are complimentary drinks at check in. The staff are so friendly and you can’t help but want to just hang out with them. Staying at BrewDogs is like staying with family. We loved it so much we stayed at both the beginning and end of our trip.

From start to finish, our stay was superb. Amazing courteous staff who went above and beyond/out of their way to make sure everything was brilliant. Special shout out to John! Couldn’t have been more courteous. Room was pristine, record played, yoga mat, mini bar, they’ve thought of it all! Breakfast portions were massive, and great quality. Would recommend to anyone.

Amazing stay. Steps away from the Royal Mile and Waverley Station. Close to all the key sites in Edinburgh. Room was quiet, comfortable and spacious. Loved the daily free beer token for reusing our towels. Food and beer were delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved this place. The staff was excellent and helpful from the moment of our arrival. The rooms are great and amenities are fantastic. Location is perfect half a block from the Royal Mile and down the street from the train station. The breakfast there was so god we rarely ate lunch.

Great place to stay from a location perspective with regard to walking to all pertinent Edinburgh attractions The staff were all 5 star employees from helping with luggage, to arranging transportation to the airport, to serving food and drink in the two great bar areas, and for providing great breakfasts each morning. Scott was the best!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

From the free beer at check in to the free beers for reusing your towels, this is a beery fine place! The staff were always amazing. The full fresh cooked breakfast was fantastic (never had to eat lunch!) and the on tap selections were great. The room itself was very upscale, with a separate living room and large bedroom. And of course at least three separate areas for beer storage, even if you didn't opt for the in-room keg. Great location, just off the royal mile, gave easy access to the main areas of old town while maintaining a quiet environment for sleeping. I would highly recommend to anyone, particularly those who enjoy a good beer.

Stayed for three nights during a recent visit to Edinburgh. Loved the casual nature of the hotel. Staff was very helpful and our experience was very enjoyable. We ate several meals at the hotel and the food was excellent. Great location with easy access to public transportation. Walkable to everything we wanted to see. Would stay here again if I returned to the area.

Great staff, good food! I'm a lil older and thought the place would be off putting. Was way wrong. Booked for included breakfast which are proper meal choices. They will give you a couple free points along the way. Was there 9 nights total. Definitely recommend.

We were staying for a few nights in March/April. The hotel rooms (Punk Suite) are spacious, and are equipped with a kitchenette including a fridge, umbrella, minibar, a lot of snacks to choose from, and so on. The hotel is at an ideal, central location from the old city side and the Edinburgh Waverley station. The breakfast/brunch with many menu options to choose from was served until 3 pm. There were issues with the heating on first day, which were solved by ourselves finding the radiator which had been turned off. Even after that the kitchen area was warm but the bathroom was still cold. There were also some issues with information sharing among staff. Overall, still a nice experience!

This was a fun place to stay in Edinburgh. We only booked it for one night on the tail end of our trip to Scotland. We wish we had done it for the two nights at the beginning of our trip as well. Unique rooms. Fun space overall.

Great location, clean, large room themed after the Brew Dog. Great breakfast and amenities too. Fun place with a friendly staff and vibe. Would stay here again.

The staff was very helpful! Could leave luggage early and it was delivered to our room. Clearly the Dog House was about making everyone comfortable. The free beer for using towels more than once was fun... Never heard one bit of sound from the bar area! Oh and so close to everything if you are walking and using the trains!

We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days snd were very happy with the service, the breakfast choices, the location and the size of the room. Staying at the lower end of the Royal Mile was a big advantage because it wasn’t as crowded and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.
