It was a very good B & B, I recommend it. Andy was helpful with various things explaining facilities & local places I could have dinner. A small chair instead of the stool would have been useful to watch TV or read a newspaper or book. Help-yourself breakfast was good with all one could expect without a cook or cooked breakfast ( I only like light breakfasts, so that was good ) I felt a sheet as well as a duvet would have been, useful, as I didn't need the duvet & a sheet would have sufficed in this heat These comments are made as help, not criticisms There are a number of eating places easily reached by car within 5 minutes Thank you Geoff

Okay for a place to stay but its a help yourself breakfast. No staff around. No staff to check you in. I had to phone to get someone to come out. And no one says 'Hello Old Star B&B'. Just 'Hello, Karen speaking.' How are you supposed to know you've reached the right number? No staff on check out. I just left the keys on the bed. Poor customer service.

Very welcoming and friendly host. Very accommodating to my request for earlier check in. Room was perfectly adequate for me and my daughter. Bit of a lack of privacy for the en-suite. Self service breakfast was well supplied
