Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and amazing amenities. The reason why I rated it so low is because I booked this hotel because it appeared to have the best hotel pool in San Jose. However we had no heads up that there would be zero access to the pool while we we there. This was beyond frustrating since that was the main reason for booking. I would have chosen a completely different hotel to stay at if I was aware of this.

We stayed for 2 nights. Hotel overall is nice, clean and has a nice bar area to hang out in the evening. We spent a couple hours at the pool which was nice but since its August, there was no service. I had to walk about a mile to pick up food and beer for the pool. The pool was average, nothing special. The hotel is nice and centralized. We walked to san pedro market for food and drinks. There were a few things that missed thr mark, imo. Our room didnt have a hair dryer which we just requested. The safe was locked so we had to hide our valuebles the first day. Hotel doesnt have a quick coffee shop, only a sit down restaurant so we had to walk to find morning coffee. We may or may not stay again. Nothing really stood out.

The hotel bar had a fun vibe and served quality drinks, and the staff was generally friendly and welcoming. That said, there were several small issues that added up and impacted our overall experience. The pool was closed for two of the days during our summer stay, and the cabana area was under renovation, which was a bit disappointing. The market on-site was almost empty when we needed a few essentials. While the fitness area was spacious and well-equipped, it didn’t seem to be cleaned regularly. Also, the ice machine on our floor wasn’t working, which was a small but frustrating inconvenience. Altogether, it was an okay stay—we loved the convenience and atmosphere, but a bit more attention to detail and upkeep would’ve made a big difference!

The hotel was great. Walking distance from places we needed to go. Clean with comfortable bed and nice view. The service was not so great though. We waited for something we asked for and called twice for about an hour and it was delivered when we did not need it anymore. The parking is too expensive. $47/night and no self parking.

Conveniently located, beautiful entry and space. Yet a bit outdated, elevators take forever even when no one else is using the 6 elevators. TV in room need updating to smart tv so guests can stream services. Their cable guide is always off. The pool area is nice.

There are no amenities in the room. Just a shower cap and a thin packaged makeup wipe. No mini bar. And the restaurants all have strange hours, so you're in this giant hotel with no available coffee or minimal hours to try to eat within the hotel. The bar service was just okay. The drinks are not great, the wine is not great. And good luck with the buttons in the elevators. Half of them don't work or you have to press them ten times or get out of the elevator and go to another one where your room floor works.

Wonderful staff and great location. However, many turn offs, including stained bed sheets, windows looking outside looked disgusting, and broken shampoo caddie that was supposed to be on wall but was on the floor the entire time (with visible sticky tape on the back). Also: the toilet flushed all night randomly. I had to put a towel over sensor. This is a wonderful hotel that needs attention to small matters that count to costumers.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable. I found hair on my bedsheet, but the sheets were obviously clean. I'm guessing the hair came from the housekeeper making the bed. There was a questionable dark spot on my bath towel, but again it seemed clean. My main issue is the shared community microwave located downstairs. It was filthy! There were bugs flying around it, even inside of it. It turned my stomach, and was completely unexpected considering the rest of the property. Overall, I liked it. I would stay here again. I just won't ever use their microwave.

1. Refigerator does not work. 2. Toilet does not evacuate pee without two flushes. 3. Shower control is rediculously complicated and requires two hands to adjust temperature. 4. Toilet paper holder is loose. 5. Toilet paper holder is positioned where my knee knocks it off the wall just sitting down. 6. If the toilet paper holder were not loose, the roll would be knocked off the holder when sitting. (Move it 3 to 6 inches up and tighten to resolve.) 7. I've been in Motel 6 rooms that had fewer issues.

Staff were excellent, efficient, respectful. The only downsides were that the fridge needs maintenance, very noisy and tough to sleep. Also there is a low level thrum sound ( like a large fan slightly off center) - maybe central air con or the pool ( also on third floor). Both noises combined affect sleeping

It was our 2nd time staying in this hotel. We enjoy the pool and convenience of the location. Our room was different from the first time we stayed. This time, you could see it definitely needed an upgrade. For the amount charged, I expected our room to be as nice as the first time we visited. Its a very nice hotel, but the rooms need to renovated, our room had a lot of "wear and tare" and the furniture was very out dated and damaged. We would like to do this once during the summer for a "staycation" and will come back again, hopefully the rooms get upgraded soon.

I booked two queen bedroom. Checking in they downgraded me to two double beds instead. They didn't give me a discount. In fact, she tried to tell me it was actually an upgrade because I was on a higher level. Yeah right, I couldn't care less what level, I wanted queen bed not double. Everything was good, except the valet Parking. They charge $50 for the valet parking. We text the valet ticket number and then we have to go and wait for considerable amount of time before the car comes out. The valet has to wait on us and we should not wait on the valet when we are paying $50 for one night. This must change. I could see they were very short staffed. Yet they were charging every exorbitant amount, but not staffing up well to provide good quality of service.

The valet was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Check in is at 3. I asked for an early check in at 230 that Sunday afternoon. I arrived at 2:50 and they said the room was not ready. I waited until after 5:30. When I asked about the delay and weren't they expecting me I was told they had a busy weekend. It would have been helpful to be notified of the delay instead of waiting for the room that long...or recognize which rooms are expected for that Sunday night and start cleaning those rooms first. When checking in at the front desk I asked for this stay to be added to my Hilton Rewards membership. The lady at the front desk told me no because I booked with Expedia. Really? Am I not staying at the Hilton anyway no matter who handled the reservation? I give up. So waited for over 2 hours for my room then told no I couldn't get reward points for my stay? Perhaps I will stay elsewhere next time.

Please make sure to double check the type of room you receive upon arrival. My booking was changed when I checked in, I had requested a king bed and I got a queen. I couldn’t reach the front desk from the phone in the room and I had to go to the lobby to request my room to be cleaned twice. The room was not cleaned properly upon my arrival, the previous guest had left their dirty clothes in the room and when I informed the staff they did nothing about it, nor did they come and retrieve the clothes. I informed them there were damages to the bathroom mirror and also informed them the bathroom sink and shower CLOG. And they still didn’t do anything, I couldn’t even switch rooms because they were booked. That’s just ridiculous! Their Valet service is absolutely terrible, when I checked out after my 5 night stay, I found my car damaged to the point of my front bumper falling off and reported it and they refused to take responsibility and refused to show me the footage. This hotel was absolutely horrible and NOT worth the $2k I spent. They charge $47 a night for parking, $6 a night for internet, their TV doesn’t even connect to their own Wi-Fi unless you purchase their plans. Please do not waste your money at this property.

This is a 3 star at best. We had a suite- no safe in room, had to call down to front desk to get one- no one answered, had to call front desk from cell phone and wait on hold for 5 minutes before someone answered. Bed was hard as a rock. ZERO bathroom amenities. Seriously? No q-tips, shower cap, nothing??? For $500+ night I expect more. Rude and unhelpful front desk staff. Will never stay here again

We attended a concert at the San Jose Civic, & this hotel is basically across the street. It is clean & quiet, with great dining options & also a sparkling pool. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated & very comfortable. To save on parking we opted to park at a lot down the street instead of using the valet parking. I look forward to our next visit!! Unfortunately Expedia did not notify us that they were on strike. Workers gathered in front of hotel being super noisy until very late into the night and very early the next morning. No cleaning service daily. Restaurants limited. Also, some staff members were quite rude when asked questions. And something outside our room made a loud noise all night long every hour on the hour. With that and the strikers we got no sleep during our stay. Very disappointing.

The Signia is investing in upgrades so I expect continued improvements over the next year. Overall it was comfortable and I will return. Would appreciate ceramic cups and glass water / wine glasses. Paper cups wrapped in plastic didn’t do justice to the excellent Nespresso provided . Quality bedding and amenities- love the pool! The Lobby Bar has an excellent staff. The food offerings are quite limited - I hope they expand their offerings in the future as the kitchen is talented.

The hotel is lovely and the rooms were nice but i did see multiple roaches (alive/dead) inside of the hotel and I don't know what was going on with the elevators, but it took 15+ minutes for one to arrive at the lobby. Overall, a great stay in downtown San Jose with a lot in walking distance from the hotel.

A very nice place very well-located to downtown and SJSU. On-site food options are somewhat limited. Plenty of places walking distance. If you are just looking for the basics, there are nice cheaper alternatives nearby, but this is a nice place if you're looking for something a bit more upscale.
