We selected this hotel based on the pool. We called before making a reservation if there pool was operating and was told yes it was. When checking in we were told the pool was closed for cleaning and should be open an about an hour. We kept checking through the evening and told that it is still closed for cleaning and will be open in the morning. So our kids got up early to be told that it’s still closed for cleaning. I would have appreciated some honesty!

Room was very clean, cute, fridge, microwave and 2 bottles of water as well as the standard coffee. Only note is that my car was broken into in the parking lot. Not really their fault but of note for guests: don't leave anything of value in your car.

I truly enjoyed the concept of the place, its a breath of fresh air here in town. But their walls and floors are thin i herd the upstairs walking around all night, so if a light sleeper like me wouldnt recommend it. Also loved they have adult pool time main reason i rented with them, went down at 930 and had to share the hot tub with 3 kids to a point i didnt enjoy myself so i didnt even stay that long, not sure how they dont pay close attention to their pool to keep their word..

The hotel was very clean. I cannot complain there, but. we came to town to celebrate our 21st anniversary. We were unable to use the pool table or other lobby amenities as Multiple rooms had been rented out to a children's birthday party- they were using the lobby area for their pizza and games- very loud and unwilling to share the space. the swimming pool was overrun with partygoers, both guests at the hotel as well as others let in just for the party. When "adults only" time became available- the hotel staff informed us that the pool and hot tub needed maintenance and we were not able to use them during our stay. The hot tub was the primary reason for selecting to stay at this hotel. As it was an anniversary trip, we were very disappointed. We were also very concerned with the homeless person found in the women's lobby restroom with his pants down around his ankles at 7am. As he was asked to leave the hotel- he lingered outside the entrance and panhandled guests. We wont book this hotel again or suggest it to others.

The kids that were in the pool were loud and swimming with street clothes and little supervision. There were 8-9, 10, 11-year olds. They were doing cannon balls in the pool. There was hair clumps in the hot tub. 3rd floor guests were heavy walkers!

The only time to use the pool without kids was after 9 pm and there were still kids at 930 and when we said something nothing was done so we did not get to enjoy the amenity

The pool table was a pleasant surprise. Swimming pool, hot tub, big screen TV, very clean and comfy bed. The only viable improvement could have been, cleaning staff should pay more attention to the refrigerator. Mine had a very foul smell. Otherwise my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended.

The hotel is modern with bright colors and nice little cubbies. The rooms were hard to regulate either too hot or too cold. The sound proofing is terrible, I had roof fans waking me up at 3, 4, and 5am. Could hear patrons walking and talking in hallway. Refrigerator was dirty and noisy. Did not like the partition, everyone could see me shower, no outer door. No closet to hang clothes or put suitcases in. Had to re-arrange the room to see television from corner couch, moving couch out then blocking room. The look and feel was very nice but the actual functionality was poor.

For a family of four (with two almost adult teenage boys) it was a very loud room…the bathroom “wall” don’t go all the way to the ceiling and there is only a curtain for a door to the shower (there is two sliding small doors to the toilet but they don’t close all the way either). So if you want privacy while using the bathroom this isn’t the place for you. With that being said the amnesties were good, pool table and pool. Good location with plenty of parking.

Rooms have no windows that open for fresh air flow: the rooms smell of overused perfumed, hard on the lungs and nostrils, gave me a headache: no closets to hang business suit/ or dresses. Wont stay here again

Check-in process and staff were good. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Shower water pressure was non-existent and outside street noise, noise from upstairs guests and hallway is why rating is lower.

About 30 mins after we arrived maintenance knocked and walked into our room. Didn’t wait for us to call them in or answer the door. They apologized and everything was good. Then about 3 and 1/2 hour after we arrived housekeeping just walked in. No knocking or anything. Now we should’ve engaged the locks after the first time, but we forgot and usually only do that at night while sleeping. Won’t make that mistake again. We let the front desk know but we felt like nothing was really done. The second time it happened we were indisposed. We left our kids at home so we wouldn’t get walked in on or have someone knocking on our bedroom door during sexy time. About an hour after all of that house keeping knocked on our door after we had the do not disturb sign on the knob, at least they waited for us to answer this time. They said they were sent because we requested towels and water. We did not. So they’re communication among staff needs some help if something.

All of the staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. We had to book last minute and Burka at the front desk was such a gem helping us with the process. Our kiddo loved the pool area and the newer-hotel atmosphere. Rooms are a fun new design, updating the classic hotel look when you step into your room. The room did lack coat racks and We would happily stay back here while visiting Anchorage. Us adults wish the bar lights would dim in the evening, however. 😊 **make sure to read the tv monitors in the “re-up” station for breakfast; that’s where it displays hot & ready type options. **bathroom doors in the hotel rooms are quite thin and on rollers, felt like they don’t offer that privacy you might want.

The room was pretty clean and the staff friendly. The property isn’t located in the best part of town, that being said, vagrants just walked through the front door without a problem. The hotel appeared very crowded for winter and there wasn’t a parking spot around. The bathroom doors didn’t close all the way, but it wouldn’t matter with the room layout. There is zero privacy and everything is open. The walls are so thin that we were woken up by 2 alarms from nearby rooms. It was extremely uncomfortable to stay here. I wish I would have read more reviews, they are very mixed, and we won’t choose this property again.

Staff and hotel inside exceeded my expectations. However at this property my vehicle was broken into.!!glad I only lost a winter jacket since I don’t leave things in my vehicle. I have stayed in anchorage more time than I can count and this is the first time something like this has happened. Some of the area in parking are now well lit.

It’s Alaska and I went in the winter. Nothing is really WALKABLE. But there IS an awesome specialty cheese shop that serves the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had barely two blocks away. As for the rest of the review, I’m more focused on the facility itself. Very clean, great service, and the WXYZ lounge never disappoints. Also love that the pool becomes adults only after 9pm. Can we enforce that everywhere please? As a proud child free adult, I need more of this in my life. Anyway, 10 out of 10 recommend.

Menu at grab and go needs to be clear about what options are absolutely VF or vegetarian. I ordered sandwiches with meat unknowingly and was charged twice cause I had to get vegetarian again.

The staff were so nice, the hotel was clean. Our room was extremely noisy. The sounds from upstairs and it sounded like the refrigerator was a pigeon. Breakfast oatmeal was great and they acommodated even though we were late.
