St George's Hotel

No elevator , stairs are very narrow. Room was packed with beds no room to walk. Rug was dirty , spider webs by ceiling , no Aircondition , no fan , no ventilation room smelled. Would not stay again.

There’s no secure storage of luggage, it just has to sit in the frequently unattended lobby. There’s no air conditioning so it’s necessary to have the window open at night but being on a busy road it’s noisy until about 0200. Bathroom has black mould on the cornices, shower leaked and only one out of the three light bulbs in the bedroom chandelier worked. It was cheap and it’s fairly nice area but the the overall impression from staff was that customers could take it or leave it- benign indifference.

I did cal the hotell 15times, over several days to Get inn tuch. That no service! When i first get in touch, noe lady told me that de recption desk was close, and then hang on phone. just so small things that no working remote controll, lamp without lamp shade.. and wait for hot water for 20min.. the place need a uppgrade

They do not have a restaurant as stated in the description or on their website. We arrived via the Metro to Pimlico station which was close by (walking distance). The place is old and could use some updating but it was clean. The bathrooms look recently updated. We were in bldg 107 and even though it was room number 201, we had to go down a very narrow stairway. The room was small which we didnt mind. One mattress was nothing but springs until we figured out it was upside down. Good water pressure in the shower. We wanted to open the window for some air circulation but there were no screens to keep the bugs out. A nice walk to Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and Buckingham Palace.

No elevator & no way to know until you check in. We lugged our bags up to the top floor, the 6th! The reception person was not personable. We did have some hot water.

If your looking place to just sleep, this is great option for that. Only negative thing was that rooms did not have fridges or anything to keep foods/drinks cold and wi-fi wasn’t greatest (rarely worked properly.) Short walk away from Pimlico underground and Victoria Station. Grocery shops and restaurants close by.

Nice and clean. No fridge in rooms which being a diabetic I found hard to keep my insulin cold. No aircon but fan provided. Bid downside is no lift and not always someone around to help with luggage up/down the stairs. Makes it really hard for international travelers with heavy suitcases and is an accident waiting to happen. Location is good and you can walk to most of the main attractions.

The place does not match what is shown in the photos. Very small rooms and long stairs. We stayed on the top floor 8 flights of stairs. I do not recommend the hotel to anyone

Quite difficult to find as it wasn't in an obvious place and I wasn't familiar with the area. I was however pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and facilities within it. It was lacking a bit decor wise, needed updating ( I particularly disliked the chandelier) . Nevertheless it had most things you could want and additional items such as an iron were on offer. It wasn't completely accessible up a number of flights of stairs so some may struggle. It was near shops and transport so easy to get to and from a number of areas.

There was mold all over the ceiling of our bathroom. The blankets provided had many yellow stains. The heat didn’t work out first night there. They did store our luggage but it’s just stored in the lobby out where anyone could grab it. The location is very convenient though.

It was the dirtiest room ever duct tape stuck on floor and side of shower in bathroom extractor fan thick of dust only one light in room working staff useless. needs shutting down

No help with luggage. Poop and blood stains left on the toilet. Mold all around the shower

Thank you, my stay was ok, however the bathroom had an old soap bar on top of the shower, the hairdryer did not work and staff were limited and not super helpful. The room itself had buds of cigarette when I opened the window for some air and it was very dirty and as a non smoker this did not leave me feeling great. Communication was lacking- I had sent several emails and no communication was returned before arriving at the place. Thank you, I don’t think I can recommend this to anyone and I thank you for taking the time to carefully consider my feedback.

This hotel was dirty, one twin bed in our room was broken and propped up with pillows. When I complained all they did was add more pillows. The toilet seat was not even attached. Do not stay here! Online pictures are misleading.

AWFUL AND DIRTY hotel, the most terrible place/room i have stayed in. Mould on the pillows and on the sheets as well as the bathroom. Very BAD for health and safety. I have asthma and it’s bad for not just me but for anyone who sleeps where there is mould. Took pictures to show upon check out to the receptionist. Room was full of dust and not cleaned.

This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever booked. Arrived and had to pay before we saw the room, but were disgusted by mold and dirty sheets. We did not stay here, and immediately booked at another hotel. We were denied a refund by the rude staff. DO NOT stay here. We booked a room at The Georgian down the street and it was wonderful.

Our stay at the St. George, while conveniently located and cheap was not great. The cleanliness of the room was terrible, the bathroom actively had mold on the ceiling while the carpet of the bedroom was stained and did not look clean. We also had about a day and a half of no hot water whatsoever in the room, which was admittedly fixed when we brought it up to the front desk.The only positive cleanliness point I have was the bed, which had brand new sheets on it as the sticker for the pack of sheets the hotel had ordered was left on.

I chose this hotel because it was in a poerfect area for the plans I had and it was one of the cheaper options - though still expensive compared to all London hotels! I knew the area is more inflated due to tourism, but I didn't mind. For reference, I spent around 140gbp for 1 night in a double twin room. The room was a nice size and had a good view - however, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the overall interior of the hotel needs a little TLC (new paint, new carpet, etc). The caulk in the bathroom shower had a little mold and aging that definitely needs updating. I want to note that the bathroom was clean, it was only the small corners and between a few tiles that I saw mold, but it did not go unnoticed. I understand this area will always have hotels that end up being more expensive, but I am honestly disappointed in the condition of this hotel compared to the price I paid for one night. Staff were friendly and attentive and I do love the area though!

The hotel is old with very small rooms, no air conditioning and it gets extremely hot in summer days, especially on upper floors, mattresses are very cheap and not comfortable. Pros: location and price.

Too hot in the room, no elevator, dirty carpet

The location is very convenient. We enjoyed walking over to the Battersea Power Station area to take the Uber Boat and enjoyed the restaurants over there. Convenient coffee shops for a quick morning breakfast. Close to the Underground. This hotel is very basic, if you know that going in you won't be surprised. There are beds and a bathroom, that's about it. Don't expect more. I would not recommend this hotel if you are staying in the heat of the summer, there is no a/c and there was no way to prop our extremely heavy window open to get a breeze (believe me we tried, and could only wedge some towels in to get a few inches of air), luckily there was a desktop fan in the closet. It was fine for a few days especially because we were very on the go and just came back to the room to shower and sleep. The neighborhood is charming.

Room was vasic but had the necessities i needed. Room was spacous and had a large window. Room came with a fan and heater and some toiletries in the bathroom. Bed was confortable too. There were a few things i didnt like. Extractor fan was very loud, windows not double glazed which allowed cold air to come through. Also curtains were blackout but daylight still came out the sides which woke me up. The kettle had water from previous guests which i found unhygenic. Finally the shower presssure and temperature wasnt great either. Warm water only - no hot. Overall an ok hotel. Expected better facilities for the price i paid though.

This was definitely a situation where “you get what you paid for” sort of thing. I booked this primarily for the cost being a late decision to travel and saw that it was in a decent area. First, please be mindful that this location doesn’t have an elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage or have trouble with stairs, look elsewhere. My room was on the very top floor which was about 6 flights. The room was very small with maybe 8 inches from the foot of the bed to the wall and about a foot or so on the sides. Be mindful that if you have an extended stay, you’d have to request ironing items from the front desk which is in a different building. I did not know that they only have a sheet separating the mattress from the where I slept. So I pulled it back like I would back home. What I found the next morning was appalling. Even if I wasn’t aware, unacceptable the state of the bed. I informed them and asked for it to be changed immediately. I took pics and video. I would never return here bottom line, up front. Also consider, if you are a heftier individual, the shower is very tight! I’m a muscular only guy and I had trouble navigating the shower. Wish I had taken pics that and of the wall clearances. Budget may not always be best. Also there is still a used shower gel bottle on top of the shower that has prob been there for weeks!

Good location however very poorly maintained, one window pane cracked, multiple cracked floor tiles in bathroom, bed mattress worn out, tv no signal, no wifi as wrong password supplied, carpet dirty and torn, windows rattle in the wind, both toilet and handwash faucet dripping thru night, the check in staff was friendly , only 1 very hard pillow, very noisy thru night from airplanes overhead , like every minute going to land at heathrow made worse as windows not double glazed

Light didn’t work in the bathroom or the bed side lights. Lots of dust, flaking paint and springs digging in my back from the bed.

During the weekend there was nobody recepción. The carpet on the room was very old, and broken. The bathroom was old, broken and diete The second night the bed was not done. The person who arte d the recepción desk was rude. It was not a good experience

Super cute area, very accessibly from train station (which we took directly from the airport, couldn’t be easier) and lots of food options near by. Also close enough to busy tourist spots without being in the head of it. We checked in really early (8am) for an extra 30 pounds—totally worth it to shower, change and get on with the day. We didnt return until late night and realized we forgot to bring the door code with us. The staff were very helpful, even after hours, and helped us out when we called. Small little room but enough for what we needed! Easy key drop off to checkout the next morning. Overall it was exactly what we needed and the price point was excellent!

Property description on Expedia and OYO corporate site vastly different. On-duty Manager as helpful as she could be to resolve issues. Property has been neglected although in nice, convenient area.

I am an Australian citizen, and I had a terrible experience during a recent business trip where I had to stay overnight at a hotel in London. When I arrived, I found the room unclean and in complete disarray (see attached picture). I immediately complained about the lack of cleanliness, but the customer service representative was arrogant, threatening, and bullying, dismissing the issue as a mere mistake. When I pointed out the poor service, he began shouting at me and using abusive language. At no point did he apologize for the unacceptable state of the room or his behavior. As we had already paid for the room and had limited time due to an evening business meeting, we had no choice but to stay there for the night. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel to spare themselves the unhygienic rooms and appalling customer service that we were forced to endure. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We arrived early and asked if I could use the toilet and was told that we only had toilets in the room. I had an accident and was on crutches and asked very politely if I could use the staff ones as I'm to far away from any toilets due to breaking my leg. They still wouldn't let me. I had to knock on hotels down the street and one allowed me to use their staff toilet. I was felt to feel very embarrassed about the situation. The lady even said they were a family run business. Family run businesses usually have more compassion.

Hotel was very convenient for our weekend, we could walk everywhere but underground also very convenient.

Great choice for a solo trip to visit London !! Near Victoria station and all the attraction! Highly recommand it

In a calm and nice neighborhood not too far from London city. The check in went well and fast. The hotel could use a complete tlc but it’s clean.

For one night stay it was more than ok. Location was quite good, close to everything in quiet neighbourhood

The location is unbeatable, super connected, walkable, just a few minutes walk from Westminster Abbey and the Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and St. James Park, coffee shops, pharmacies, convenience shops and bus stops. The place leaves much to be desired, it is not clean, the staff is not helpful or friendly AT ALL, but at least check in and check out was efficient. They put us on the top floor- climbing 6 flights of Victorian steps with luggage is no easy feat and no help was offered at any time. Room had all the basics, teeny tiny bathroom and shower and hair drier.

Very convenient stay and location in SW1 area for business or leisure. Close to Pimlico tube which is great. Helpful reception and pleasant clean room . Would stay again .a basic convenient hotel .

I loved the Georgian style, very accessible and affordable, however breakfast was not included and I had to manage myself. There was no lift in the building. The reception is not located there, but not a big deal, it's a few doors away.
