Hotel Circulo Bacalar

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Círculo in Bacalar. The hotel is cozy, the small pool area is very nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in the rear rooms, which were actually well located with direct access through the terrace. Unfortunately, there was a very noisy chicken farm next door, and several roosters started crowing loudly from around 4:00 a.m. every morning, which made it difficult to sleep. The breakfast was also quite disappointing. The selection was very limited, with scrambled eggs and waffles being the only hot options. There was no salsa for the eggs and not even syrup for the waffles, which felt like a strange omission. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with friendly service, but the early morning noise and the rather basic breakfast leave room for improvement.

Had a relaxing stay for 3 nights here. Pool was refreshing with nice lounge chairs. Room was spacious and clean with soap, shampoo and conditioner. Beds were comfy. Shower was great! Free breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The only snag was they tried to say I stole a spoon from my room when I checked out. I was barely even in my room, and I don’t remember seeing any spoons because there were no dishes, confusing but I said I didn’t take it and we left without an extra charge. Overall it was a good choice to be near the square but far enough away to be quiet. I would stay here again.

Great spot very close to downtown Bacalar. Friendly service, especially at breakfast. The waiter Mateo was very helpful. I’d stay there again.
