Walkable to downtown. I liked the design of the rooms - having all the hook on the wall helped to stay organized. The breakfast offerings were significantly better than standard hotel breakfast, including items like oat milk, veggie frittata, greek yogurt, and granola. I wish we had more time to use the gym and hot tub - it looked like a really nice setup.

Room was fantastic, even the layout was great. Big TV perfectly placed. Bathroom/shower was ideal. Bed was wonderful. Construction was underway on a hotel addition was a little annoying, hard to see the entrance at night. Overall: excellent.

This was our first trip to Marquette, and the only reason I chose the Fairfield Inn over a brand that we’ve stayed at many times, is that several reviewers mentioned how great the breakfast buffet was. Well…I will not be one of those to say the breakfast buffet was amazing, because on the morning we were there, it definitely was NOT amazing. There were cold sausage patties, little egg bites that had no flavor and were also cold, and the oatmeal looked so bad, I didn’t even try it. The potatoes were the best of the hot food…seasoned well and they were actually hot. The only yogurt was Greek, and I know it’s better for me, but I just don’t like it! I made a waffle and it didn’t get cooked all the way through even though it indicated it was done. Other than breakfast…the room was clean, the hotel overall was clean, we slept well, we didn’t work out but went into the gym and it looked great, the pool/spa area is small but since we’d been outside in the rain all day, we didn’t use that either. There’s a partner hotel under construction right next door and the workers blocked access to the parking lot part of the day, so getting in to the property was a little tricky. Overall, it was fine for our one night stay. Next time though, I’ll probably choose the one we’ve used in the past.

My room was freezing due to air conditioning that I couldn’t control. When I called the front desk to find out how to change the temperature I was told that there was a new system and I couldn’t change it. I am not used to air conditioning and was miserable all night because it was too cold for me. Also the pool and hot tub were disappointing as the pool is too small to actually swim in and the hot tub only had seats for 3 people and that was tight! The location is good. Easy walk to parks and downtown!

The lock to the side door was very loud when unlocking and our room was close so we heard people entering all night long. In-room lighting was limited- 3 small lamps. Dining room tables were not cleaned for breakfast this am when we ate at 7am. Front desk staff was friendly. Nice location close to town. If the room rates are lower than other hotels like Staybridge or Hampton Inn then I would stay there again.

Well…I will not be one of those to say the breakfast buffet was amazing, because on the morning we were there, it definitely was NOT amazing. There were cold sausage patties, little egg bites that had no flavor and were also cold, and the oatmeal looked so bad, I didn’t even try it. The potatoes were the best of the hot food…seasoned well and they were actually hot. The only yogurt was Greek, and I know it’s better for me, but I just don’t like it! I made a waffle and it didn’t get cooked all the way through even though it indicated it was done. Other than breakfast…the room was clean, the hotel overall was clean, we slept well, we didn’t work out but went into the gym and it looked great, the pool/spa area is small but since we’d been outside in the rain all day, we didn’t use that either. There’s a partner hotel under construction right next door and the workers blocked access to the parking lot part of the day, so getting in to the property was a little tricky. Overall, it was fine for our one night stay. Next time though, I’ll probably choose the one we’ve used in the past.

Overall a great place to stay. Beautifully decorated room and water views. We were a little surprised to learn after the fact that the hotel does not automatically clean the rooms every day. They clean them every other day. We were not aware of this. Also the thermostat in our room was not working. We could turn on the A/C unit though manually.

Room booked was not like the pictures on the website. Bed area in the suite was supposed to be partially divided from seating area with the pull-out couch. It was not. There was running water 24/7 next to our room. Couldn't figure out what that was. Breakfast was not great. The cost was expensive for what you get.

Comfortable hotel, exceptional customer service and professional employees. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable-Kng bed w/pull-out sofa w/ incredible view of Lk Superior. Note: coffee table and end table were off the floor and had been placed upside down on the sofa and desk. I'm guessing that housekeeping had vacuumed and then simply forgot to replace them. It's to note because if one is disabled, they would need to call the front desk for assistance. Also, the pool and whirlpool are VERY, VERY small - tiniest I've ever seen in fact. They said capacity was just over 30 - there is no way 30 could ever fit in there. Breakfast had variety with something for everyone and was fresh!

The accessible room was great best we’ve ever stayed in but the architect didn’t allow ample room to swing the wheelchair into the bathroom or could have simply reversed the door swing. They should have someone maneuver through their lay out before building them.

Beautiful hotel with a water view of Lake Superior. The breakfast was fantastic. Closed to everything. You can walk if you want to many places. The guy at the counter was so friendly and the one that came to the bar ares (Derrick) was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us few pointers on what to see. We will be back in the summer.

This hotel was a great place for our family to stay right on the bay. There was some construction happening next door but it didn’t affect us and we hardly noticed it. This hotel is newer and very comfortable. The breakfast offerings were great.

Nice, newer property near the waterfront downtown. Approx 1/2 mile walk to shops, restaurants and breweries. Clean facility and nice staff, the breakfast was hit or miss, my only complaint. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

The hotel is centrally located, right next to Lake Superior/ bike path, and beautiful inside and out! They have everything you may need while traveling. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in Marquette, Michigan!

Easy 15 min walk to downtown Marquette! We loved walking along the bike path near the lakeshore to and from dinner. Easy access to the highway that heads to pictured rocks. Breakfast area was clean and had lots of great options!
