Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City

The self parking was a little confusing being attached to the convention center parking, but the hotel is amazing with a great pool deck up on the 6th floor that made for an amazing summer stay here!

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Hyatt Regency over the weekend and it wasn’t as I expected. Upon arrival, I was hit with a $25-per-night self-parking option or a $37-per-night valet option. For such a high-end hotel chain, it was really disappointing to find out parking wasn’t included. To make things worse, the walk from the garage to the hotel elevator felt like a full block. The signage was terrible—hardly any clear directions from the garage to the hotel. We even ended up guiding other confused guests to the right elevator multiple times. The room itself? Honestly, that was the highlight. It was spotless—literally not a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size for one or two people. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end. The next day, I requested extra towels at the front desk to be delivered to our room. They never showed up. Later, we decided to relax by the pool, but the hostess told us no outside food or drinks were allowed and even tried to upsell us on hotel snacks. Fine—we tossed our (non-alcoholic) drinks. But here’s the kicker: 30 minutes later, the hostess packed up and left, and then several guests showed up with Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, and other outside food with zero issues. Overall, the inconsistencies and small frustrations really added up. Things I’d normally overlook completely changed my impression of this property. Safe to say, I won’t be booking a Hyatt again anytime soon.

Best place to stay in slc! Staff was awesome! The hotel has everything you could need! The rooftop pool is wonderful!

Place was fantastic! Super new which we loved. Breakfast buffet was just "meh" for the price. The glass around the rooftop pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned like ever. We would definitely go back though!

Best bag carriers ever!! Was great other than we didn’t really get to enjoy the pool being our event went past 9:30 most nights we were there! I would LOVE to stay there on our next trip but would like if the pool could be open until midnight like other hotel pools we have stayed at in the past have been- so we could actually soak it in!

The hotel is beautiful and clean with great bar and restaurant options. The pool was a bit small and they only had one attendant gathering food orders. You also had to walk up to the booth to place an order vs poolside service.

The views from the corner room were spectacular! Very central and convenient location walkable to so many shopping and dining options. The hotel restaurants were also excellent, particularly on the sixth floor. Rooftop pool is also nice, although it needs a hot tub.

Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Amenities are great. Large workout facility and private heated pool during the winter. Wish they had a hot tub. Continently located downtown and close to pretty much everything! Will stay here again!

We were very impressed with this hotel and felt well taken care of. The stay was seamless… we were given early check-in which was a godsend- we didn’t have to worry about our luggage while attending a conference conveniently located in the attached Salt Palace. The common area/lobby is beautiful but also bustling (if you’re looking for a quieter, more private stay). There is a Market with grab and go food options, and a couple nice restaurants. There are no microwaves in the room, just refrigerators, but there is a microwave in the lobby near the Market. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but could see it, and a beautiful city view, from our 20th floor room. Very elegant, with meal service there. The hydration stations on each floor with crushed ice and filtered water was wonderful for our hydro flasks because the temp was over 100 degrees while staying there. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and open bench type design (rather than closet) was brilliant and efficient to put 2 small suitcases in easy reach outside the bathroom. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a couch, gorgeous views, hardwood floors, and wonderful smelling lotions and personal care products (we are sensitive to smells and artificial fragrances so this was a nice surprise). We would definitely stay again while attending conferences at Salt Palace. What a wonderful addition.

Our room wasn’t ready at check in time, had to go back up to the counter to ask again if our room was ready. No compensation given. Hair on our toilet upon arrival once we finally got our room. Wouldn’t recommend.

It didn’t not meet our expectations. For a relatively new property it was not in best shape and not as clean as you would expect from Hyatt Regency. Paid for the room with a view and got to overlook the roof of the convention center with the air conditioning fans from the convention center noise in the room all night. Very disappointing stay. Much better choices available in the area for a lot less. Not recommend.

Nice and clean stay, very friendly staff, small 24/7 supermarket in the lobby, good restaurant, big rooms with a great view.

My wife and I stayed for our anniversary weekend. We wanted to try out a new hotel in downtown Salt Lake City. The lobby was beautiful and check in went smoothly. The price of parking is a little steep, we chose the valet parking and it came to a little over $42 per night including tax. We stayed two nights. We stayed in a standard King room on the 22nd floor. Our room faced East and had a good view of downtown Salt Lake and the mountains. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, it had a 65 in Samsung TV that was nice. The shower had a handheld as well as an overhead spray, also it had a step bar in the corner that is good for those that would like to shave their legs. A nice touch. There was a small counter space above the mini fridge that had a coffee maker. The Wi-Fi speed was quite good for both download and upload with both over 400 Mbps. A few negatives. The size of the room reminds me of a college dorm room without as much storage space. There is no closet or dresser, just a less than 6 ft rod to hang clothes on with two smaller drawers below next to the floor. Very little counter space in the bathroom with only one sink. The mini fridge temperature is only 45°, so not good enough to keep leftovers fresh or anything other than drinks AKA water or maybe sodas. Also no microwave for reheating anything. A room cost $388 for two nights. The valet parking was $84 Plus a $5 tip each time we had the vehicle brought out. Overall good for a single individual, not a couple

The property was up to date and clean. Nice beds and pillows. Bathroom sink was draining slowly during our stay. We were too busy to complain. A common issue in hotels.

The elevator was fast. The views were nice. Floor to ceiling windows. No free breakfast. Rooms were sterile and echoed.

Bad internet connection and paper thin walls, but otherwise amazing.

If you get a corner room the views are amazing!

The set up of the room could be improved by switching the chair and table to the otherside of the room so guesrs could see the TV from the only comfortable place to sit. The table ( desk) and chair should on the same side as the tv. The desk was si small after all the electronics were plugged in..there was so room for anything else. So for 2 ppl to get ready in the morning was sonewhat difficult. And since the tv is attached to the wall there's no cabinet yo set things on. I did like the set up for a place to set my suitcase. With the drawer, shoe rack etc.. However...only one large suitcase fit. Bathroom was very nice..but again not much room to set stuff for two ppl. We wrre their for business needing to get ready for meetjngs each day. I love the location of the hotel.

Generally it was ok. For some reason the bathroom was odd. * It took 5 minutes to figure out the shower controls enough to get the temperature right. This was in part because of the long distance (opposite sides of shower) between the shower head and the controls. * A timer turned the light off in the bathroom while I was still in the shower. * The barn door on the bathroom felt more appropriate in a McMansion or a ... barn.

After some flight cancelations left us unexpectedly in Salt Lake City, we decided to stay here. We booked one night and Kenie was absolutely amazing checking us in, giving tips for the area and being super friendly. We ended up having to extend another night and Roman was just as aweome. The restaurants and market are top notch and the location let us walk to see most of the big items in SLC. It was a wonderful stay!

Overall not worth it. Staff was rude and all of them had attitudes.

The staff was not friendly or attentive and there was only one person at the reception desk with a long line of people waiting. For the price this hotel was lacking service, the rooms are mediocre and I would never want to stay long term. There are many better options for less money in downtown Salt Lake. Parking was also subpar as it was shared with another facility and it was a walk unless you used valet.

The room we were did not need a hotel key to access it. It just opened up. I didn’t realize this until 11:30 PM when a random stranger walked into our room which I was staying in alone with three small children. When I first went to the front desk, they told me they were completely booked out and couldn’t move me. A manager was able to move me rooms however when we got into the new room, there was no bedding. We had to wait for that and then the heater unit was so loud. The kids couldn’t sleep. We may got four hours of sleep total when the whole reason we were staying up here was for an early morning comp. I definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Room was fine. Woukd not let us have late checkout OR hold our bags so we could sit at the pool. Very disappointed. All other hyatts have been very accommodating. That is why we stay at the hyatt.

Easy check in/out process, conveniently located near shopping and cafe spots. The hotel is really close drive to the airport and the underground parking was easy to access. Will stay here again!

Such a cool hotel in the heart of downtown Salt Lake. Located across the street from City Creek shopping mall and surrounded by great restaurants. The lobby is huge with a market and a couple of restaurants. We didn’t have the chance to eat at any of the property restaurants but they all looked spectacular. We did order breakfast from the market in the morning and it was easy to order online and pick up check-in. Staff was super friendly and it was a fast process room was great with awesome views of the city. We can’t wait to stay here again. This will be our new go to hotel in downtown Salt Lake.

It was very nice. The hallways were a little noisy from time to time. But I food from the cafe was terrible! It looked like my sandwich was left out and untouched for weeks. Otherwise everything was amazing. Beds were very comfy and bathroom was very clean. I would recommend you stay here and I would come again.

Seamless check in, bellhop referred us to a restaurant that was amazing, and valet was top notch. The market was clean and always stocked, staff there was very friendly and accommodating. The Salt Rock breakfast each morning is a must.

I’m super skeptical about everything. I ended up at this gem coming to a concert. Super clean, staff super cool and the food was amazing….Definitely opt in for the breakfast buffet omgggg….

Mar Muntanya is excellent. It is worth staying here just to eat at this restaurant. I will definitely stay here again. It’s lively but not loud. Great vibe.

Accommodations are fantastic and clean. Restaurant was delicious and our server Michelle was so knowledgeable and friendly!
