The property is clean and the staff were very pleasant. It does have an ocean view but is not on the ocean. It is located near the city square and ferry launch which makes getting around very easy. It can get a little loud but it generally quiet by 10pm. The pool area was clean but the water was a little cloudy. Overall it was a nice place to stay within that budget.

If you are looking for the perfect location. Steps to the ferry, beach and 5th avenue then this is it. The rooms are very clean, Housekeeping is excellent. however we did not use the pool as it was quite foggy and full of sand. If we could have used the pool I would have rated a 5. We stayed in an oceanfront which is lovely to listen to the ocean however you will have an empty abandoned lot in front of your view. I still would stay here again for price and convenience to everything.

Great location if you want to be near the action. Can be a little noisy as there is so much going on. Get an ocean view room on 2nd or 3rd floor. Very clean. Walk out the door to shopping, restaurants or the beach and the park is right across the street with street performances etc. Ferry to Cozumel is steps away.The pool is a little small but it works. Had a great time.

Excellent overall value for the money. Rooms are nicer than you would expect, for the money. Stayed here several times. But pool water was a bit murky most recent visit. Very nice location right next to: the Central Park with many live cultural activities, the ferry. No parking! Several block walk to paid parking which is risky. They are very strict.

Stayed in this Hotel from 27 April 2024 to 30 April 2024. We absolutely loved our stay here and would love to go back again. Pros - 1. Location: located on Juarez Ave. and 5th Ave, this place is right across Parque Los Fundadores. Its steps to the beach, 5th Ave., ADO Terminal. Very convinient location in terms of transportation, food and nightlife. 2. Hotel Staff: The hotel staff are super kind and helpful. Always greeting you with a smile and assisting you. 3. Rooms: The rooms are very spacious and clean. Our room had a view of the Carribbean sea and Parque Los Fundadores. It had a walkout balcony as well. 4. Safety: We felt very safe at this hotel. There was a locker in the room as well to keep our valuables. The hotel has an iron gate that is closed every night at 12am. We were told that the front desk staff would open it incase we needed to go out. 5. Pool: the hotel has a swimming pool. Small but clean. Its a nice place to cool off after an exhausting day.

We've been staying at Casa Melissa every year for about 5 years. Love it! VERY clean! Great staff. So close to the Cozumel Ferry station, bus station, and taxis, and a great walk on Quinta Avenida. Highly recommend!

Staff is super nice and helpful. Pool was a nice surprise. Fast internet. It can be loud on certain holiday days because of the bar proximity, but other days it was quiet after around 10pm. Rooms are cleaned every day and complimentary bottled water is given every day. It is super close to the beach and there is lifeguard post near it.

A great find on the beach at the south end of 5th Avenue just across the street from the Parque Los Fundadores. Easy access to everything! Our room had an ocean view with amazing sunrises from our balcony and was unexpectedly quiet given the close proximity to 5th Avenue and the park. Daily housekeeping, wi-fi, A/C, bottled water, mini-refrigerator and coffee maker made our stay effortless and enjoyable. Great rates, too!

We would stay here again. This was a lovely smaller hotel which was central to everything - buses, collectivos, food, bars, beach. For being so central it was also quiet - no night club noise ! The hotel has great sound proofing - we did not hear anyone in adjoining rooms for the 2 week stay! We had a couple of issues- our shower broke for 48hours, but the staff let us use another room to wash while it was fixed. The cleaners do a fantastic job at this hotel, it is very clean. Bed a little hard but that’s preference and we slept well. Room spacious. The hotel does not do food, but there are shops literally within a minutes walk, and the price could not be beaten - very reasonably priced for location

We had a really nice stay at Casa Melissa. The hotel is right on the beach and our room had a nice view of the beach too. The hotel was also a stones throw away from la Quinta Avenida (the Main Strip) as well as the ADO bus terminal. Our room was big, clean and had a fridge as well as shampoo/conditioner etc. The staff were also friendly. Overall, everything you’re looking for.

If you MUST need reliable WiFi, avoid this place. It's also very noisy and there’s dogs that bark all night. Other than that, it’s clean; housekeeping comes daily and it’s located in a very convenient area.

Staff were lovely and efficient upon check in. Room was not what we booked. I booked a king suite and we had 2 double beds. The headboards are not attached to the beds and banged repeatedly against the wall every time we turned. My husband rolls a lot so we didn’t get good sleep. The mattresses are a little hard and the pillows were way too large and firm for our liking. We arrived at midnight and did not ask for anything to be fixed so not sure if they would have moved us or not.

I had spotty wifi throughout the stay. The staff was quick and helpful in resolving it initially, but the problem persisted. The room was okay. There was a mini fridge that didn't work, a coffee maker but no coffee or any coffee apparatus. The door was hard to lock and unlock without pushing it. The staff made up for the few things that didn't work in the room. They were pleasant and always helpful. Great location, but noisy. Not what you want if peace and quiet is what you're looking for. 3.5/5 for me.

Standard hotel room. Door on bathroom and front door didnt close well had to work them. Safe broken. Headboard constantly banged on wall had to prop with pillow. No place for wet bathing suits or towel. Would be nice to have a chair on balcony. The staff and housekeeping were very helpful

Casa Melissa is in a great location. Tons of shopping, lots of restaurants and the beach is a two minute. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars for everything is because we had almost no shower pressure and we didn’t have hot water for a few days. The beds are very hard. This place is a great place to stay if you want be in the middle of the action! All in all we had a great stay.

Great location, right on the beach and close to the ferry and ADO bus. Room was comfortable and clean. Only two small complaints - 1) proximity to square meant hours of flute/drums in the evenings (with outside doors closed), so if you want silence request a room not facing the square; 2) water pressure was terrible in the shower due to a calcified shower head. Once removed it was great, but just good to know.

If you want action… this is the place to be! Located right at the square where all the night action goes on till after midnight…. And daytime you are steps from the beach! The pool is nice and the empty lot next door is green and clean! I refused maid service while I was there just traded towels when I needed them! Still ended up having a bunch of money taken from the safe when I was out! Front desk claimed impossible… of course! I emailed manager and heard nothing! There is do much light and windows to the exterior hallway bring a sleeping mask! My kids were up at 2 am thinking it was daylight! Rock hard beds… basic hotel but location was amazing

This hotel is in the middle of the touristic area, and a short walk from the ferry, shopping mall, beach, and stores. It is also close to the ADO station. It is very safe. The hotel was clean and service was good. It can be loud at night depending on events at Parque los fundadores, but relatively quiet after 11pm. I would definitely stay here again.

It was very convenient to transportations like Ferry and Bus terminal. I felt safe. Property is just fine. Communication was an issue. I receive a letter for a "missing towel" when the towel was in the room. After I reported to Manager Carla that bathroom was clogged she still sent me a letter. That eas totally unnecessary! If she talked to me in person there was no need to send another letter. She was rude. The rest was just fine but she has poor customer service skills. I do not know how she is the Manager.

The location was perfect as it’s in the Parque los Fundadores and close to restaurants and the ferry. I got there early and was able to leave my luggage while I took a day trip to Cozumel. I was traveling alone with my toddler and felt very safe. The staff was great in helping me get a very early morning shuttle scheduled to Cancun (separate price).

The hotel is practically on 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen. It’s walkable, there’s always food and something to do nearby. It’s not quiet but that’s expected! & we were totally fine with that. The rooms were very clean and it had AC although we didn’t really need it. Would def stay here again.

Cumple con lo que promete. Las habitaciones son limpias, cercana a la quinta avenida y el muelle del ferry. Buena atención en general pero si nos hubiese gustado que incluyera el desayuno. Es complejo y costoso salir a comer por ahí cerca. También había mucho sargazo en el mar pero no es culpa del hotel.

Perfekte Lage nur 2 Minuten vom ADO Bus Terminal (Verbindung zum CUN Airport) und 1 Minute zum Strand sowie direkt am zentralen Platz von Playa del Carmen. Junior Suiten im 1. und 2. Stock haben einen tollen Ausblick auf den Ozean und den Sonnenaufgang. Großer Kühlschrank ist vorhanden. W-LAN leider nur in der Lobby und am Pool, aber nicht auf den Zimmern. Kaffeemaschine ohne Filter, Kaffee, Zucker und Creamer. Reicht aber zum Wasser heiß machen; also Instant Kaffee etc. selbst mitbringen. Kein Frühstück oder Essen verfügbar, aber in der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten. Insgesamt war ich sehr zufrieden und komme gerne wieder.

Great little hotel. Friendly staff. The room was very clean with fantastic ocean views. The balcony had 2 chairs and a small table. The pool is new, small, clean, and pretty. The location is excellent. You walk right out onto shops and the Parque los Fundadores (fresh fruit stands all day). There's a coffee/ice cream shop on the corner. A few steps aware are the beach, taxi stand, and Ado station. The Cozumel ferry is a block away. Two blocks down the beach I got a fantastic massage at INTI beach club for $50 USD. The air conditioner in the room worked great. The mini-fridge was unplugged; I never used it. It was quiet at night. The plumbing is septic so TP cannot be flushed and must go in the trash can, which is common for this area. The bedding and towels were clean and inviting. Be aware that the front desk closes at midnight so you cannot check in after that. Also, if you are out past 11pm the front gate must be opened by security. I never stayed out past 11 so not sure if that is easy. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler and was sad to leave!

The property is conveniently located close to the Ado bus and the ferry however the area is very busy and noisy. You don’t hear the noise in your room but you will when you sit outside. The room had a coffee maker but no coffee. There wasn’t a microwave either and no ice machine. Staff was friendly and we would stay again.
