The breakfast was very basic. Very limited choices and same everyday. The room has no amenities and housekeeping alway forgot to replace towels etc.

The breakfast included every morning was perfect and had a good selection with plenty of places to sit. The air conditioner quickly cooled off our room in minutes. Housekeeping was quick and did a thorough job. Our only problem was that we could hear every little movement our upstairs neighbor made. Also, the fire alarm briefly went off around 12:30am on our last night there. We were told everything was ok but it did disrupt our sleep.

We stayed one night as our flight was canceled and the all inclusive wanted to charge us an outrageous price to stay another night. We had a wonderful stay here, staff were friendly and nice and accommodating. The area was beautiful and safe and we found great food options on 5th ave.

I had a really enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Playa del Carmen. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was super comfortable, which made a big difference after long days out. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the hotel felt well maintained overall. The location is also great – close to shops, restaurants, and within walking distance to the beach, which was really convenient. Breakfast was included, which is a nice bonus, even though I don’t usually have breakfast. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel room was clean and spacious, the rooftop pool was lovely and it's in the perfect location to explore playa del Carmen without the noise from 5th ave. The staff were also incredibly friendly, we had a great experience with Cecilia and all the team. The breakfast was fairly limited, but considering it's included in the price, it was very good value.
