What a wonderful place Amainah is, in all my travels I have never seen an entire staff so fantastic! Our room was beautiful the breakfast that was included was incredible and the service was second to none. The view from our room was beautiful. The only negative is it's not very handicapped accessible there is no elevator and quite a few steps.

Great place, quiet and small boutique feel. They have free kayaks for you to go out into the water to play. The restaurant is convenient and good. Staff is amazing and friendly. I would come back.

Excelente servicio, todos fueron muy amables y trataron de hacernos sentir como en casa. Resalta Edgar por sus atenciones y por preocuparse de cualquier mínimo detalle para hacer la estancia más amena. La vista espectacular, servicio de Kayak, chalecos salvavidas accesible todo el tiempo! Hubo cortes de luz lo cual efecto un poco, ajeno al hotel aunque no cuentan con planta eléctrica de emergencia.

Fantastic stay - really loved our room with an incredible view, and the food at the restaurant was really good too. It’s great that you can take kayaks and paddle boards out on the beautiful lake whenever you like, too.

L’hotel è molto bello e ben tenuto. Location e vista invidiabile. Personale gentile e disponibile. Due pecche: musica lounge ad alto volume anche a colazione che rovina la quiete paradisiaca del posto. Seconda cosa: c’è stato un blackout non risolto entro il nostro check out, quindi no aria condizionata/luci e nemmeno pos funzionante per pagare la colazione.

Después de un baño había que esperar para que se calentara para que la siguiente persona pudiera bañarse. Hay filtraciones de agua de la tina, el lavabo y la regadera. La parte del lavabo que no tiene muro hacia el resto de la habitación está mal pensado. El personal en general es muy amable y servicial. A cada rato se va la luz. Los alimentos podrían mejorar. Las camas del muelle están muy incómodas y sucias. La alberca es poco atractiva, ya que su ubicación no es buena. Feedback para Hoteles.com: Reservé la habitación más cara que tiene la alberca y resultó la menos adecuada, ya que estaba arrinconada y con una mini alberca sin climatizar en esta época del año. Fue una estadía muy agradable, el personal muy amable y siempre atentos y proactivos. La comida estaba bien, nada especial en mi opinión, lo mismo para las bebidas preparadas, nada especial. En cuanto a limpieza los baños de la Alberca estaban sucios los 3 días que los usamos y la regadera del cuarto y el baño no lo lavaban, solo secaban y hacían la cama y cambiaban las toallas. En general estuvo muy bien.
Fue una estadía muy agradable, el personal muy amable y siempre atentos y proactivos. La comida estaba bien, nada especial en mi opinión, lo mismo para las bebidas preparadas, nada especial. El hotel está súper bonito, excelente ubicación, con vistas a la laguna y cenotes. La comida del restaurante muy rica y todo el personal súper amable. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y todo funciona muy bien a excepción del wifi dentro de la habitación (podría mejorar). Sin duda un gran lugar para hospedarse en Bacalar, regresaría 100%

Room view was stunning and it was clean, but no chairs or other furniture in room. Open concept bathroom is less than ideal. Sound carried badly and noisy guests (especially one lady beside us constantly on her phone) disrupted the tranquility of the place. Another woke us up at 2a.m. The hotel is concrete with no furnishings which attributes to the sound issues. Breakfast/bar staff were fantastic. The front desk staff less so and communication before arrival was lacking. I couldn’t even get a confirmation of our reservation. Breakfasts were delicious.

Amazing stay at Amainah! We were overwhelmed by the options of hotels in Bacalar and I’m so glad I went with this one! The service was amazing, the rooms were new, clean, and comfortable! The hotel is not in town, it’s about a 5-10 min taxi ride but the reception always helped us get a taxi and it was inexpensive. The food and the drinks were incredible at the hotel too! The best cocktails we had in Bacalar were at this hotel! There are kayaks available to use and there are no paddleboards but they do have a paddleboard tour you can book. 100% recommend this place as a sophisticated adults only get away!

We loved everything about this property. I would have rated everything at five stars. However, they fell short of their customer service on our last day. All the wait staff and bartenders were amazing and very helpful. The front desk staff were great too until we had our big issue with our airport ride. They told us they booked it. It did not arrive at the arranged time. We could have missed our flight. I asked staff more than three times if they were sure they had booked it at 6:15 am and they kept on saying yes. It is not easy to find a cab in Bacalar and Uber doesn't have a lot of availability at all. The main issue here too is that there is no one manning the front desk until 7am except for who I deemed was security. He was not privy to anything about front desk work and arrangements and could not speak English. There is really no one to contact before 7am. What if there was an emergency? And in our case, we needed a ride. He didn’t even have a number for a cab company. Needless to say, staff finally came a bit before 7pm in a cab so we jumped into her cab and luckily made our flight. The hotel is around 35-40 mins to Chetumal airport. Luckily there was no traffic. I was hugely disappointed at the very end as everything was A plus until the event. I hope they can remedy this shortcoming for other guests. Front desk needs staff 24/7.
We loved everything about this property. I would have rated everything at five stars. However, they fell short of their customer service on our last day. All the wait staff and bartenders were amazing and very helpful. The front desk staff were great too until we had our big issue with our airport ride. They told us they booked it. It did not arrive at the arranged time. We could have missed our flight. I asked staff more than three times if they were sure they had booked it at 6:15 am and they kept on saying yes. Cenamos algo en el hotel y nos enfermamos de la panza, por obvias razones queríamos cancelar el masaje que teníamos y se tardaron mucho en resolver hasta que le marcaron a la del masaje y dijo que ya no se podía cancelar porque ya venían en camino, a nosotros nunca nos dijeron que no se podía cancelar ni que había una penalización por cancelar. Creo que deberían ser más claros con esa información. Los del staff si son muy buena gente. Solo la de recepción no tanto.

Well this hotel is stunning in all the ways; amenities excellent; service outstanding Miguel, Salvador, Ricardo in the bar wowww anything they will make it happen; Frontdesk really profesional and explain any detail. And management good with Enrique; only a little Inconvenience with the breakfast; in Expedia explain is 2 full breakfast and I asked Miguel; he said sorry but the only included is amanahia breakfast and I did kindly asked for the manager; Miguel came back and said Manager Enrique void my 3 breakfast; I appreciated but I went up to speak with manager Enrique he was really attentive and I told him next time is better to come and speak directly with the guest and that give support to the staff; I think this is minor and easy to fix like I mention to Enrique; but in general this is an OUTSTANDING HOTEL; well worth your money your time and your vacation. El servicio es excelente en cuanto a restaurante, bar y camareras. Dos personas en especial, Ricardo y quienes fueron magníficos anfitriones. Sin embargo la señorita de recepción no fue lo mismo. El aire acondicionado no enfríaba lo suficiente y al llegar al cuarto su solución fue que lo pusiéramos en 24 porque había un "golpe de calor". Hacerlo solo empeoró las cosas y dormimos con calor. Al día siguiente desayunamos tarde, (puedes desayunar a la hora que quieras, lo cual es excelentísimo). Y solicitamos el late check out que tenemos asignado desde la reservación. Sin embargo nos dijo que solo podía hasta la una. Así que tuvimos que correr. Aún estando vacío el hotel. We enjoyed our stay at Amainah. Super friendly staff who are able to answer all of our questions. We have a great view of the lagoon. Our favorite part is the paddleboarding at sunrise (SUP provided by the hotel). about 10 min car ride from city center.

This property was very clean and modern. The staff were very helpful and attentive. About 45min walk from the town center, but taxis are very accessible and only about $80 pesos. Hotel dock is a short paddle away from shallow water and Cocalitos.

It’s a great place to stay, the hotel has access to the lagoon so you can use the kayaks provided by the hotel free of charge or just go for a swim. The restaurant is very good and the drinks were great too. This hotel probably has one of the best views to the lake. It’s about 10 min from the town so you can go and have dinner, go for a walk around the Central Park. The only negative I would say is the fact that the hotel won’t allow you to use the refrigerator for your drinks, they want you to provide a credit cart so you can have access to the drinks that they have in the fridge and charge you for everything you drink in your room. I had tons of drinks that I bought at an Oxxo but I couldn’t keep them cold.

The food was excellent and the service from the staff was even better, particularly Sharón. The location is great but you need a taxi go into town for other dining options. Short 10 minute walk to Cenote Azul.

We would have given 5 star for all the fields however the hotel does not have onsite parking (on the adjacent streets) and also it is a bit noisy (construction work and national road nearby) but that is “normal” in a fast growing town like Bacalar. The staff (Ricky “Ricardo” in particular) were very good and the room was cleaned at a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent and the free and easy use of the kayaks made the staying a very good one

Amazing stay at Amainah! We were overwhelmed by the options of hotels in Bacalar and I’m so glad I went with this one! The service was amazing, the rooms were new, clean, and comfortable! The hotel is not in town, it’s about a 5-10 min taxi ride but the reception always helped us get a taxi and it was inexpensive. The food and the drinks were incredible at the hotel too! The best cocktails we had in Bacalar were at this hotel! There are kayaks available to use and there are no paddleboards but they do have a paddleboard tour you can book. 100% recommend this place as a sophisticated adults only get away!

The property is beautiful, the staff is incredible, the food and cocktails are excellent! I had no complaints. We stayed 3 nights and it was exceptional. The walk to town is a little far but we did it twice! I wanted the exercise anyway. The staff was so hardworking, friendly, and helpful. I will come back if I'm in that part of the country again! HIGHLY recommend.

The hotel is very beautiful, very modern. The architectural details are interesting but not always practical. For example, there are many steps that, on the one hand, are steep, on another hand, are shallow, making walking difficult even for healthy people. As my husband arrived with a recently broken leg, he had very limited chances to enjoy the outside. The view from our room was beautiful though. We met the chef and he is definitely talented but a better dining program would be welcome. With more interaction and (much) better choice of wines. The cocktails were rather good.
