À la première arrivée à l’hôtel, on voit une hacienda traditionnelle, et bien entretenue. Nous avons séjourné deux jours dans cet établissement loin de tout en pensant trouver tranquillité et service de qualité. Malheureusement c’est avec une grande déception que nous avons vécu une mauvaise expérience malgré le prix de 500€/ nuit! - piscine non chauffée. - il faut appeler plusieurs fois pour avoir le nettoyage de chambre qui n’a pas été fait de la journée. - coup de fusil de chasse à tout heure de jour comme de nuit, c’est très surprenant. - aucun service à la piscine, les plats ne sont pas débarrassés, nous avons passé plus de deux heures au bord de la piscine sans que personne ne viennent pour nous prendre une commande. - l’hôtel refuse d’appliquer l’avantage membre silver de 20% sur les consommations - le petit déjeuner est une arnaque, j’ai pris l’option petit déjeuner pour 45€/ personnes, et l’hôtel impose un petit déjeuner de 410 pesos soit 20€, si on veut d’autres plats il faut payer!! - les prix pratiqués de repas sont vraiment très cher pour ce que c’est sans doute car il n’y a rien un alentours. J’ai demandé à parler au manager à la réception, ce n’était pas possible car il n’était pas disponible. Après avoir insisté, la personne à l’accueil m’a indiqué qu’il serait disponible l’après-midi de notre départ. Et donc comme nous sommes partis le matin je n’ai pas pu échanger avec lui. Enfin, je vous conseille de passer votre chemin, ça n’en vaut pas la peine.

El lugar es muy lindo, sòlo que está abandonado, no tienen personal suficiente. Soplan las hojas sin levantarlas, se acumulan en la tierra y un viento y se llena todo de hojas mojadas. Les falta mucho personal. El check in una persona sola, llega etenia un problema un pasajero y ahi esperando hasta que lo resuelva.. Le tuve que pedir si me dejaba registrar, ridìculo. La alberca llena de hojas. El spa nadie atiende una sola persona. El gym sucio y feo. En mi habitaciòn no funcionaba el wifi, nada lo siento no pudieron hacer nada porque no tienen personal calificado. El precio es altísimo para lo que dan. Comí ahi por el chef que decían. Un pescado repleto de espinas casi sin carne y carìsimo. Fui al centro comì mil veces mejor por la mitad. Ademàs que tardaron 20 mins en venir a preguntar. Y 45 en traer la comida.

Service and rooms were great! The problem was the restaurant….2 of 3 days okay for breakfast, last day everything was salty; awful for dinner, made 2 tries and regretted it. Angelica gave us a massage to my wife and I….very relaxing. Also great attention from Paco (lifeguard), he provided kayaks and paddle boards to use at the lake.

Tourism in Bacalar has been blowing up recently, and a lot of new hotels are springing up each year. But Mia Bacalar is head and shoulders above the rest. Yes, it's on the pricier side for the area, but, there are so many wonderful amenities you get for your money. In my estimation, it's worth it. The property consists of luxury "cabins" that are spread out along the lagoon. This means you get your own private space. Each one has so many nice little finishes, including large comfortable beds, hot tubs, and rainfall showers. The views of Laguna Bacalar are spectacular, especially the sunrises. You can climb right into the water from the property, and, there are kayaks and paddleboards available to use as well. The on-site restaurant was another highlight. They have a surprisingly expansive menu, consisting of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a variety of drinks. Highlights included the chilaquiles, a variety of fresh seafood tacos, and the shortribs. The hotel's chef is fantastic, and the food is all representative of local ingredients and flavors. As far as location, the hotel is about a five minute drive from central Bacalar. You can take your own car (on-site parking is ample and secure) or request a shuttle ride from the hotel. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Mia Bacalar to anyone visiting the area!

Rente habitación con alberca privada, la encontramos muy sucia y la reportamos, nunca fueron a darle mantenimiento, no la pudimos usar. No tenía caja fuerte, solicité una, quedaron de llevarla al día siguiente, nunca sucedió. El mini bar de la habitación no enfría, lo cambiaron por uno más grande. Se fue la señal de internet y TV, pregunté al recepcionista que empresa les daba el servicio de Internet y video y no supo responderme, afortunadamente apareció en ese momento la Gerente, le hice la misma pregunta y no sabía que empresa les daba el servicio de Internet. La alberca principal sucia y sumamente descuidada, la propiedad se ve triste, desatendida, urge darle mucho mantenimiento y cariño. El personal muy atento y con ganas de ayudar pero sin las herramientas necesarias

El mantenimiento y servicio es pésimo, tuvimos un par de accidente uno de consecuencias graves. Uno en la zona de alberca donde las tablas qué la rodean están sueltas y mi hijo se cayó y la más grave una desatencion por parte de la Gerente y el servicio de mantenimiento qué permitió que entrará el agua a la habitación ocasionando un accidente el cual tendrá implicaciones jurídicas.

Dejlige omgivelser og lækre værelser, og når det så er sagt er der ikke mere godt at sige… Morgenmad total ringe, man forventer at morgenmaden er god på et knap 5 stjerners hotel men personalet forstår stort set ikke engelsk, og hvis ikke du kan lide æg som vores børn og andre godt kan køre død i efter 5 dage, så er der ikke andre muligheder.yderligere ligger der glas rundt om pool området lidt træls når børnene løber rundt.. ga

Struttura molto particolare e curata, su una laguna meravigliosa. Camere splendide, pulite e molto moderne. Ristorante piacevole, forse troppo caro ma di buona qualità. Nel complesso davvero un soggiorno gradevole.

El hotel es muy lindo com acceso privada a la Laguna, sin embargo, ya se nota un poco descuidado, donde hace falta mantenimiento, el servicio es lento aunque no haya gente y el personal es amable pero hay que estar pidiendo apoyo todo el tiempo, no se acercan ni ofrecen nada proactivamente. Tomamos un masaje en el spa y el baño olía horrible, no hay aromaterapia, medio sucias las regaderas. En fin, el lugar es muy bonito pero si no inyectan dinero mejor inyectarle también en servicio

Rente habitación con alberca privada, la encontramos muy sucia y la reportamos, nunca fueron a darle mantenimiento, no la pudimos usar. No tenía caja fuerte, solicité una, quedaron de llevarla al día siguiente, nunca sucedió. El mini bar de la habitación no enfría, lo cambiaron por uno más grande. Se fue la señal de internet y TV, pregunté al recepcionista que empresa les daba el servicio de Internet y video y no supo responderme, afortunadamente apareció en ese momento la Gerente, le hice la misma pregunta y no sabía que empresa les daba el servicio de Internet. La alberca principal sucia y sumamente descuidada, la propiedad se ve triste, desatendida, urge darle mucho mantenimiento y cariño. El personal muy atento y con ganas de ayudar pero sin las herramientas necesarias

Given that this hotel is billed as 5 stars I didn’t receive 5 star service here. Most disappointing was the lack of accountability when things were wrong - we stayed for 6 nights and booked a room with a jacuzzi in. On three separate occasions we mentioned that this was not working and could not be used - at no point was another room offered, or a refund for any portion of the stay (other rooms without a jacuzzi had been available at a lesser price). I was just told to leave a review on Trip Advisor. Food at the restaurant was not particularly good. Overall I think that other 5 star hotels in the Bacalar region provide a much more pleasant experience.

The room that we stayed in was stunning. Loved the decor and the simplicity of it. Even though the restaurant was a bit pricey the food was quite delicious. Attention to detail was amazing and the staff were very attentive. The grounds were fine but a bit more native plants would have made it more attractive.

The property is nice, but many improvements need to been done for the price they charge to stay, expensive. Our room was very nice and clean, but AC gave a unpleasant smell, they offer aroma therapy fragrance but that lasted a little. Restaurant had great food, and servers are extremely nice, but very unorganized. I will not return.

El lugar es muy lindo, sòlo que está abandonado, no tienen personal suficiente. Soplan las hojas sin levantarlas, se acumulan en la tierra y un viento y se llena todo de hojas mojadas. Les falta mucho personal. El check in una persona sola, llega etenia un problema un pasajero y ahi esperando hasta que lo resuelva.. Le tuve que pedir si me dejaba registrar, ridìculo. La alberca llena de hojas. El spa nadie atiende una sola persona. El gym sucio y feo. En mi habitaciòn no funcionaba el wifi, nada lo siento no pudieron hacer nada porque no tienen personal calificado. El precio es altísimo para lo que dan. Comí ahi por el chef que decían. Un pescado repleto de espinas casi sin carne y carìsimo. Fui al centro comì mil veces mejor por la mitad. Ademàs que tardaron 20 mins en venir a preguntar. Y 45 en traer la comida.

Tourism in Bacalar has been blowing up recently, and a lot of new hotels are springing up each year. But Mia Bacalar is head and shoulders above the rest. Yes, it's on the pricier side for the area, but, there are so many wonderful amenities you get for your money. In my estimation, it's worth it. The property consists of luxury "cabins" that are spread out along the lagoon. This means you get your own private space. Each one has so many nice little finishes, including large comfortable beds, hot tubs, and rainfall showers. The views of Laguna Bacalar are spectacular, especially the sunrises. You can climb right into the water from the property, and, there are kayaks and paddleboards available to use as well. The on-site restaurant was another highlight. They have a surprisingly expansive menu, consisting of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a variety of drinks. Highlights included the chilaquiles, a variety of fresh seafood tacos, and the shortribs. The hotel's chef is fantastic, and the food is all representative of local ingredients and flavors. As far as location, the hotel is about a five minute drive from central Bacalar. You can take your own car (on-site parking is ample and secure) or request a shuttle ride from the hotel. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Mia Bacalar to anyone visiting the area!

We didn’t like that the rooms are upstairs on a spiral staircase that is very narrow and slippery. We didn’t like the one the rooms had a key light in the bathroom not working and never replaced. We didn’t like that one of the rooms had issue accessing and had to go to the lobby several times to complain and we like that they offered free breakfast for one night as compensation ; we liked the spa facilities and the staff there. We also like tombs quality of the food at the restaurant.

Dejlige omgivelser og lækre værelser, og når det så er sagt er der ikke mere godt at sige… Morgenmad total ringe, man forventer at morgenmaden er god på et knap 5 stjerners hotel men personalet forstår stort set ikke engelsk, og hvis ikke du kan lide æg som vores børn og andre godt kan køre død i efter 5 dage, så er der ikke andre muligheder.yderligere ligger der glas rundt om pool området lidt træls når børnene løber rundt.. ga

This was such a beautiful place to stay at and I wish I could have stayed a little longer, but I was just passing through. My only hang up was that I arrived around 8pm and the gates were closed with no one at the security post. It was pretty dark and their number wasn’t working for me because there was no signal. I was panicking but thankfully someone finally came to open the gate after I started honking.

Suites are nice and spacious Staff you can find different treatment, at the lobby Tania is very nice. Food at the restaurant is ok 3 out of 5, service can be better took longer than it should to get a drink or even for them to take the order, not lack of staff there was only two tables with 2 guests each and maybe 5 staff members, not the usual good service you expect in Mexico. Get your tours at the town, 1/2 price Wave runners not working Anyways, a great place to relax, we ended up dining in town where you have great options The hotel is 10 mins from town, you may find another option closer or in town for similar or better price

El hotel dice que es Luxury, sin embargo en el restaurant son amables pero tardan demasiado, en atenderte, en llevarte las bebidas, entiendo en que tarden en la preparación de alimentos. Pedí wave runner, me la querian dar el servicio mucho mas caro, de lo publicado en sus servicio, dijeron que lo revisarían y Ya nunca respondieron. Nos quedamos sin agua otro día. Pedimos room service y que volvieran por el servicio, solo dijeron que lo dejaramos afuera. Es un buen hotel pero muy caro para lo que es.

El hotel es muy lindo com acceso privada a la Laguna, sin embargo, ya se nota un poco descuidado, donde hace falta mantenimiento, el servicio es lento aunque no haya gente y el personal es amable pero hay que estar pidiendo apoyo todo el tiempo, no se acercan ni ofrecen nada proactivamente. Tomamos un masaje en el spa y el baño olía horrible, no hay aromaterapia, medio sucias las regaderas. En fin, el lugar es muy bonito pero si no inyectan dinero mejor inyectarle también en servicio

El hotel el general es muy bonito, considerar que se encuentra un poco alejado del centro por lo que para desplazarte necesitas coche o moverte en taxi para un trayecto de 10 min aprox para zona de restaurantes y bares. Su acceso a la laguna cuenta con kayaks y paddles lo que hara distrutar mas de la laguna, las habitaciones son hermosas, muy privadas e ideales para una estancia en pareja, lo recomiendo y sin duda regresaria.

À la première arrivée à l’hôtel, on voit une hacienda traditionnelle, et bien entretenue. Nous avons séjourné deux jours dans cet établissement loin de tout en pensant trouver tranquillité et service de qualité. Malheureusement c’est avec une grande déception que nous avons vécu une mauvaise expérience malgré le prix de 500€/ nuit! - piscine non chauffée. - il faut appeler plusieurs fois pour avoir le nettoyage de chambre qui n’a pas été fait de la journée. - coup de fusil de chasse à tout heure de jour comme de nuit, c’est très surprenant. - aucun service à la piscine, les plats ne sont pas débarrassés, nous avons passé plus de deux heures au bord de la piscine sans que personne ne viennent pour nous prendre une commande. - l’hôtel refuse d’appliquer l’avantage membre silver de 20% sur les consommations - le petit déjeuner est une arnaque, j’ai pris l’option petit déjeuner pour 45€/ personnes, et l’hôtel impose un petit déjeuner de 410 pesos soit 20€, si on veut d’autres plats il faut payer!! - les prix pratiqués de repas sont vraiment très cher pour ce que c’est sans doute car il n’y a rien un alentours. J’ai demandé à parler au manager à la réception, ce n’était pas possible car il n’était pas disponible. Après avoir insisté, la personne à l’accueil m’a indiqué qu’il serait disponible l’après-midi de notre départ. Et donc comme nous sommes partis le matin je n’ai pas pu échanger avec lui. Enfin, je vous conseille de passer votre chemin, ça n’en vaut pas la peine.

The room that we stayed in was stunning. Loved the decor and the simplicity of it. Even though the restaurant was a bit pricey the food was quite delicious. Attention to detail was amazing and the staff were very attentive. The grounds were fine but a bit more native plants would have made it more attractive.

The property is nice, but many improvements need to been done for the price they charge to stay, expensive. Our room was very nice and clean, but AC gave a unpleasant smell, they offer aroma therapy fragrance but that lasted a little. Restaurant had great food, and servers are extremely nice, but very unorganized. I will not return.

Service and rooms were great! The problem was the restaurant….2 of 3 days okay for breakfast, last day everything was salty; awful for dinner, made 2 tries and regretted it. Angelica gave us a massage to my wife and I….very relaxing. Also great attention from Paco (lifeguard), he provided kayaks and paddle boards to use at the lake.

Tourism in Bacalar has been blowing up recently, and a lot of new hotels are springing up each year. But Mia Bacalar is head and shoulders above the rest. Yes, it's on the pricier side for the area, but, there are so many wonderful amenities you get for your money. In my estimation, it's worth it. The property consists of luxury "cabins" that are spread out along the lagoon. This means you get your own private space. Each one has so many nice little finishes, including large comfortable beds, hot tubs, and rainfall showers. The views of Laguna Bacalar are spectacular, especially the sunrises. You can climb right into the water from the property, and, there are kayaks and paddleboards available to use as well. The on-site restaurant was another highlight. They have a surprisingly expansive menu, consisting of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a variety of drinks. Highlights included the chilaquiles, a variety of fresh seafood tacos, and the shortribs. The hotel's chef is fantastic, and the food is all representative of local ingredients and flavors. As far as location, the hotel is about a five minute drive from central Bacalar. You can take your own car (on-site parking is ample and secure) or request a shuttle ride from the hotel. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Mia Bacalar to anyone visiting the area!

This was our second stay at MIA Bacalar, and it won’t be our last—our family is already planning a return visit for the Christmas holidays. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, consistently going above and beyond to ensure we have a great experience. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast, which could be more varied and satisfying.
