Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort - All Inclusive Adults Only

Everything was amazing from check-in to check out. Staff was professional and friendly rooms were newly renovated and beautiful. We were there for our daughter’s wedding and the coordinators were spectacular. Everything was beautiful! Would definitely recommend.

I booked Secrets Playa Mujeres for my anniversary, expecting luxury. Instead, I got a 4-day construction zone with broken amenities. We paid for a swim-out room but couldn't use it once. Maintenance and management admitted the heating system was broken due to a recent reopening. It never worked. Even the public hot tubs were brick-cold; watching staff stick thermometers into freezing water while we waited was a joke. After complaining, we were moved to a new room only to be woken by loud construction—drilling and banging on concrete right by the Preferred lounge. The showerhead was also broken, and despite reporting it, no one cared. Worst of all, this was our anniversary. I saw doors decorated with “Just Married” or “Happy Birthday” ribbons, but we received zero recognition. It felt incredibly alienating to be ignored while others were celebrated. The “All-Inclusive” dining is a myth. They open restaurants based on guest volume to save money. I could only access 3 out of 9 options because the rest were shuttered. To top it off, the staff felt biased and unwelcoming, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. Bottom Line: Between the freezing pools, construction noise, closed restaurants, and the lack of basic hospitality, this was a total waste of money. They are cutting corners at the guest's expense. Avoid this resort if you actually want what you paid for.

The activities group was amazing. They made the day so fun. They engaged everyone. Music trivia was the best! We asked about making bracelets on our last day. They even made that entertaining!

Overall the hotel was nice, but not what we were expecting for the money Hot tubs were not hot The omelette and taco chef was amazing, hardest worker Beds were very firm, not comfortable Rooms were very nice, well appointed Loved having screen doors in the rooms Pool drink, food service was very slow Golf cart drivers were great Liked that you didn’t have to make reservations Himitsu restaurant was good It would be great if the app showed you what was open for that day so you didn’t have to triangulate that every day There was Mold in the outdoor pool bathrooms Spa was not open yet

The good: Food: Everything was amazing Drinks: Great brands Hospitality: Top notch Pool: Plenty of seats and space, one warmer pool Beach: Fine sand, clear water The bad: Room service menu: Meh Hot tubs: Not very hot Swim out room: Very cold water, didn't use much, not worth upgrading Overall first resort id go back to no question, bad stuff didn't outweigh how good of a time it was.
