Great beach and pools for the family.

We really enjoyed the Mermaid Pool and Tides.

Pool was fun, music,drink,staff, and volleyball only wish a little longer to play.

This is a multi wedding venue posing as a family resort. There are not 10 restaurants, building 6 is the noisy backdrop for wedding music in your room until 11pm each night, and only one noisy bar to walk to after 6pm. I was charged $420/night extra bc one son is 14. but we could not go to the French restaurant bc my other son is 8. There are zero places to hang out after 6 as a family, unless you count running around the property to avoid the hordes of vampire mosquitoes. My wife was covered by mosquitoes in 1 minute at the otherwise beautiful spa pool. At least the staff was super friendly, and paying extra for preferred got us a Bali bed and beach chairs every day. Wait, why did I have to pay extra for a beach vacation???

Property has a great layout and lots of pools. It has a good set up for couples and families. The resort needs to put some attention to the pools and conditions of the pools. There are many spots where the pools need repair or repairs are failing and create areas where you can get cut. Tiles are loose and one night a lady tripped and fell to her face as a result. The food was quite good and the drinks were also made well. The preferred aspect gave us access to the sit down breakfast which was worth it. The lazy river was gross so dont get the upgrade for that alone. Overall a great time but room for improvement.

Dreams Playa Mujeres had everything and more for a multi generational family trip we took. The facilities were fantastic and clean. Drink service continuous regardless of where you were. The food was 8/10. The beach was 8/10. There is a lot of walking because this is a big resort, so be prepared for that. Overall, I would recommend this resort again and again.

Its the largest resort we've stayed in, so there was a lot more walking than I expected. I loved the fact that there are 5 different pool areas to choose from. Loved the lazy river. Loved the spa experience. Wish maybe 1 more eating area, considering the resort holds a lot of people. Also, maybe consider StarLink satelite for internet in the Prefered Lounge area would be nice.

Very beautiful property with lots of greenery and beautiful plants all around the resort. A lot of different pool for adult and also for the kids. Variety of delicious food at buffet and at restaurant. Lots of great options for everyone. Also a lot of entertainment from the

beautiful grounds, plenty of pools, excellent restaurants.

Our family of 4 had an amazing time at the resort! We tried out almost all the restaurants and they enjoyed the kids waterpark. The staff and service was amazing and attentive. We definitely recommend Dreams Playa Mujeres for other families looking for an all-inclusive resort. We didn’t have to worry about anything!!!

A Deep Decline in Quality – Our Worst Dreams Stay Yet After many pleasant stays at Dreams Resorts, our recent experience post-Hyatt acquisition was a letdown, especially on my 40th birthday. While the rooms remained clean and spacious, most staff appeared indifferent, and the overall experience was disappointing. Key Issues: 1. Lack of Poolside Food Service: A major oversight for a five-star resort, requiring inconvenient walks to the buffet or restaurants, especially with young children. 2. Poor Food Quality: Expectations were already low for all-inclusive dining, but the food was often bland or inedible, with long room service waits. 3. Misleading Views: The coveted ocean views in the lobby did not translate to restaurant locations, forcing us to dine indoors away from the scenery. 4. Unsafe Water Slides: Our daughters sustained injuries due to poorly designed splash areas, making them hesitant to enjoy the facilities. 5. Dirty Pools: The pools were poorly maintained; water was often cloudy, and there were hygiene issues noted by guests. 6. Deceptive Timeshare Offers: Timeshare pitches promised "preferred" areas which were disappointing and poorly maintained. 7. Excessive Noise: Loud music from events disrupted our evenings, making rest nearly impossible. 8. Unsafe Excursions: A snorkeling tour organized by the resort posed safety risks, with strong currents endangering guests. In summary, what was once a reliable choice for family vacations has sharply declined

Beautiful property - need the tubs on the balconies changed, appear very old and stained. Then there are the very, very hard working staff - worked tirelessly to provide clean environment all the time. They were always very friendly, seeking to be of assistance. Dinning service staff were excellent as well. Overall, great property, awesome view and amenities

Very noisy with the construction next the resort. I did not find the place clean nor the staff helpful.

My family and I had a fabulous time! The place was nice and clean! The staff was very friendly, especially in the cafés and restaurants. My only complaint would be the mosquitoes.

Overall it was good, but there are things that could've made this experience better. Firstly, the pool closes at 8pm. Checking in is always tough when you have a long travel day, and then feel like you are bombarded with information as you're checking in. The staff didn't seem to know where places/buildings were, but I do believe that the service was amazing and the staff were kind. This can be overwhelming for first-time visitors as they don't let you know basic things such as where to get pool towels. Lastly, our cleaning services were not great. We didn't get cleaning unless we asked for it and the took a couple of days to pick up dishes from room service (ants started to congregate near them).

Loved the clean room, and the staff was so attentive and helpful! I enjoyed all the pool areas and the amenities provided, can’t wait to be back!

Staff and service was great. Food was pretty good, not the best but there were a lot of good options. Hibachi/Fusion, seafood, and Mexican restaurants were the best. Did not try the French restaurant. The buffet was about what you would expect, but always had things that everyone liked. The property was a bit worn in a few places but it was made up for in cleanliness and service. Housekeeping was great in the room, they seemed to come by a couple times a day and always left the room very nice. We got the cheapest room but it was still very nice, it had everything we needed and a decent sized bathroom and shower. The pools were okay, the water level was a little low for some reason. There were enough pools that it never felt too crowded. The slides and lazy river were a big hit. Kids loved the smoothie bar and the lazy river was very relaxing. The beach was okay, not perfect but much better than riviera maya. You can actually enjoy the beach here. There were some spots with very little seaweed and clear water, but varied day by day. We did spend a couple hours each day at the beach, the beach bars were very convenient. The nightly shows were great and were enjoyed by both the kids and parents. Convenient location, about 45 minutes from the airport, and very close to excursions for Isla Mujeres. Water and beach area was nicer than the riviera maya area. The area felt very safe and secluded. I would recommend this resort to families with kids of all ages.

Dreams was really nice! My room was nice. Loved the Bluetooth option in the bathroom and the shower. I only wished that they offered robes in the room. For the cost per night, I think that a robe would have given the added touch!

Beautiful resort with plenty of stuff for the whole family to do from young kids, teens, and adults. Beds were a little uncomfortable but everything else was great. Some restaurants were better than others but plenty of options.

Overall it was good. Nice swimming pools and staffs. I had to change the room because of smell but it took 2 hours to change so it was waste of time.

Cons The check in was a little lackluster. No true line area and you had to keep checking back. I didn’t feel like I was a truly welcomed guest either. Also staff would not say hello or greet as other resorts would. I always spoke first. Our room was on the main floor so we heard the outdoor entertainment as well as anyone turning the corner from the check in/lobby area. Lastly, since the resort is so large, there should be better signage. Yea I know there is an app, but simple signs elevated could work as well. Pros The beaches were beautiful and clean. The rooms were large and bathrooms were amazing. The kiddie pools were great for my daughter and there was plenty of space between families. Food was pretty good. Overall it was a nice resort.

Upon arrival, we were escorted to our room which was flooded from recent rain. Staff called for cleaning and two women arrived. I asked to be relocated to another room as I was not about to have to deal with flooding should it rain again. Reluctantly, the escort brought us back to the check in desk.

While rooms are spacious and beach is very nice, food is mediocre and restaurant reservation process especially for larger groups is arcane. Most of staff is very helpful and friendly, but front desk check in process was painful

The only complaint I have is that the lighting in the bathroom is very dim and there are no mirrors inside the room just in the bathroom. Besides that everything else was great.

Check-in was not good

Our trip started off on bumpy due to the number of large parties at the resort. This made getting into a restaurant for dinner almost impossible. Then we met Onell. Onell went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was not only perfect but also memorable. We have never met a staff member at a resort like Onell. He made sure our family had a perfect dinner every night. Not only did he make sure we had a fantastic dining experience but he also was physically present every evening to make sure all went smoothly. The entertainment staff was amazing. Luigi, Brayan, Antonio and Eduardo brought the fun every single day. They made sure our kids were involved even when there were many high school seniors participating. I cannot say enough about them. They were amazing.

Service is awesome

Checking was a bit slow, it took us around 1 hour to be able to check on a Thursday, We did the dolphin activity but pictures were to expensive, $45 a single pic or $341 for 12, Other than that everything was excellent, Service was amazing, everyone on the pool and beach will ask you every 10 min if you need anything, A special thanks to Roxana,Herbet,Gavino,Edwin,Ivan,Piero y Onell, All of them make us feel like family, thank you

Did not have room ready at check in time. Restaurants difficult to get reservations. Hibachi restaurant under renovation and not open. Dining areas very hot and no air conditioning. Room service took hours. Room smelled musty and HVAC system smelled like bacteria or something of that sort. Asked for shower gel and extra towels and never got it. Drinks are diluted down. Birds everywhere pooping all over including on people which I first hand witnessed by the lobby. Flies all over the food. Cabana beds outside looked dirty. Asked concierge about help with reservations for dining and concierge did not know how to help nor was interested in helping. The overall experience was not pleasant and I will not be returning there. Everything is exceedingly slow and there’s no sense of any urgency whatsoever to accommodate the paying customers.

Staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. The only thing that was bothering was their vacation package presentation that took up a 1/2 day of my stay. Over then that everything was top tier. The restaurants were great with food and service. Housekeeping and room service was quick and reliable. Spa treatment were better than expected I would recommend dreams/secrets to anyone staying in Cancun

Staff were very friendly and attentive.The food wasn’t the best . Room service wasn’t always available and they took very long most times. We couldn’t enjoy the beach because of the strong smell coming from the water. Overall it was ok

Food was good, but nothing outstanding. Found the sales pitch for the vacation club a little overbearing. Spa was wonderful, both my teens enjoyed their first massage experiences. Staff was super friendly, property was very clean. Our family felt extremely safe at all times. Kids had a great time exploring the property.

Some not-so-great experiences were as follows: 1-Check in I felt the sales pitch to book the next day meeting was a little long, all we wanted to do when we checked in after a long day of travel was go to our room. 2-My husband had a bolt (screw) in his rice from the Tres Colores restaurant. Thankfully he found it and did not bite on it. We did bring it to the kitchen staff's attention. They wanted to offer us something to make up for it, but since it was a prepaid all inclusive, we did not know what they could do. 3-Hibachi was impossible to get into. We tried all 4 days right at the time we were told to try. 4- Food service overall was pretty slow. For the resort being fully booked, it was definitely understaffed. I felt bad for the staff. Tides restaurant took 1 hr + to get food and most of the time the order was lost and they had to re submit it. When we ordered room service we were told 20-40 minutes and after 2 calls it ended up showing up almost 2 hours later.

Terrible service

We used Mexico Travel Solutions to pick us up from the airport and take us back to the airport. We had to wait about 40 minutes to get transported to the resort. Shuttle service was early waiting at the resort when we left, we used the shared shuttle. The resort was great. The beach could have been improved, there was alot of seaweed on the beach throughout our stay. Restaurants were good including the buffet. Rooms were big and nice. Overall great resort, we did not travel with children, but we felt resort was very kid friendly with lots of activities for children.

Quiet and peaceful. Good for family vacation. Kids friendly.

Really nice area most of the staff were nice. Mainly safety issue if you have food allergies make sure to let them know. My son had a huge allergic reaction while we were staying there. The location is far from the airport and stores. Everything in the stores are really expensive, better to shop outside the resort. There was a lot of miscommunication with issues we had at Amstar and this Hyatt service to get you to buy.

Great location

Pools were great, beach was ok, to much seaweed and just built up over the week with no one cleaning it. Restaurants situated is a miss and they need to do a better job, at communicating because was told that you don’t need reservations for restaurants except French one and was told 45 minutes wait at 2 restaurants back to back, when there was a number of tables empty inside and they said they are for reservations. Overall I had an ok time but world never return.

The resort is a bit further up north of Cancun in Mujeres beach. We spent a week there and the experience is great. Dinner is superb with different options to choose from. Entertainment is awesome, and kids friendly. On-site day care is available, we just did not have a chance to utilize the facilities. Will recommend as family vacation spot

Great hotel and very nice rooms. Pool area is very varied with something for everyone. Beach had some pretty large waves and the water was full of sea grass. Food was average at best - French restaurant by far the best. How can a Mexican restaurant in Mexico be no more than average? All drinks were watered down. Sparkling wine and wine in general was ok and tequila was good but not really sure it actually was the right tequila in the bottle. Even the beer on tap was watered down -absolutely awful. Like they had beer syrup and mixed it with almost flat sparkling water. In total, not worth the money.

The food/dining staff was exceptional. I didn't rate it a 5 star because I wish there were more dining options, however, the few that are available offer exceptional service. The staff is very accommodating and friendly.

At first I had miscommunication, but it all worked out! The place is beautiful, the staff is great, quite a bit of things for kids which was great! Food some places were delicious others were typical not bad. The only thing I would say is the Hibachi was preferred guest and then opened to everyone else but not for parties of 12.MTS shuttle services were excellent as well!

We enjoyed everything about this Dreams, but the dining options. It was difficult to get into the restaurants and we wasted a lot of time waiting in line to make reservations each day. Then once in the restaurants there was a very limited menu.

I expected better food quality for the price. Absurd that we were there for 4 nights and couldn’t get a hibachi table. Room service took on average 1.5 hours and for what? Mediocre food? Tacos were absolutely delicious though and the rooms were nice. Children loved the pools.

I would have given Five stars but the food was meh and no beer on tap anywhere. Beer on tap is high on my importance level
