Motel 6-Portland, OR - Tigard West

The room was very noisy and the pool was dirty.

Not your typical model 6! This is a HOTEL with enclosed lobby and secure access.

Clean room and plenty of parking.

Very safe, veey well lit.

The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The lobby is small with no continental breakfast which we were aware of. There was not any water/ice stations that we saw. There is no elevator access, so you will have to walk up stairs if you have a 2nd floor room. Rooms were clean and spacious but little amenities which we were aware of and was not a problem for us as we were only staying one night. The only downside to the room was the poor WiFi service, poor water pressure for the shower and a slight musty smell that did not go away even with using the A/C fan, but overall, wasn’t terrible to deal with. We would stay here again for a night despite the downsides listed above.

The room was spacious and clean, and the guy at the front desk was nice. The pool didn't look like it was upkept though.

There was druggies everywhere, the rooms were dusty and gross. The sheets had blood stains, the shower had mold, the staff was okay.

Linens changed only on Tuesdays. I was there Thursday thru Sunday. Tough luck. Room never cleaned during my stay.

Clean property and room, courteous staff, good value

Staff was polite. Room was inexpensive. I didn't like the number of stray hairs in both the bathroom and bed areas.

The room was very clean. Bathtub was sparkling. Good job!

Clean rooms, comfortable beds. It was a perfect place to stay for our trip through Portland! Spoke with a few of the housekeeping ladies and they were so friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Bed bugs, mold and ants.

We always stay here when we come to see my son. It’s the cleanest M6 I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are always so friendly and helpful! If you’re looking for a clean, friendly and economical stay in the Portland area, this is a great choice.

Surprisingly quiet

Some of these reviews are wild. It’s a Motel 6. Set your expectations accordingly. Staff was very friendly, room was clean with a bed and a TV. That’s all I expected because that’s what I paid for. I felt safe and was able to have my dog. There was no deposit. My only complaint is that the TV was too glitchy to watch.

Bare bones motel. Did have a microwave and fridge though. Room had a smell that took getting used to. We were also on the noisy traffic side of the building, but with the windows closed, it was ok. Walkable to fast food restaurants made it convenient.

Check-in was quick and simple. The staff was very friendly/nice. The room was really clean. We stayed in room 213, where there was a few things we didnt like. First, the a/c had a noticeable smell too, like a wet musty smell almost, decided to sleep without it on. Second the tv wasn't working the best. The tv was small. But the issue was the playback. At times the tv screen would either go black or lag, but you could always hear the audio. And 3rd was the beds. Our room had 2 queen beds. One of the beds was really firm, like a hard bouncy firm, was still able to get some sleep. The second bed was softer, but on one side there was a noticeable dip like when you've used your bed for years and a dip naturally formed in the bed on the side you sleep on. I'd recommended the staff to replace that bed at least. The room/stay was good for 1 night that my wife and I needed. Staff was really great and understanding and apologetic when i mentioned the issues at checkout. The location is great right off the highway, but far enough that you don't hear the traffic. Good amount of food options really close by and some more off the next exit. Overall I'd stay here again.

Noisy neighbors

The mattress was painful, the wifi almost non existent and the tv had even worse reception. I honestly thought this was going to be a nice stay, it wasn't.

Freeway noise & AC noisy too. But clean room, that's most important.

We were denied our stay at check in because my 20 year old daughter didn’t have her physical ID to stay in the same room as myself. We did not know this was a policy with Motel 6. It was not listed on any of our reservation information. Two other Motel 6 in the area said it was not their policy. We ended up staying at another hotel for twice the cost. Also, the front desk person advised us of their policy and never returned.

Everything was great. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Great value, clean room and everything worked fine. Good service, they fixed a plumbing issue same-day.

Difficult to rate a budget hotel more than the bottom when they make no effort and the evening 'staff' treat you like an inconvenience for disrupting his time playing with his cellphone.

Always a great experience staying here. The staff are very welcoming and will go above and beyond for all your needs. Bear was able to check us in for our stay and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely be staying here again !

Took an hour to check in, they couldn’t find my reservation. Booked me into a room that wasn’t ready then charged me twice and had to sit on phone for another hour in order to get it sorted.

This will be the LAST time I stay at this motel. I had to go downstairs to the front desk and ask for clean towels, toulet paper, and new key card multiple times because it wouldn't unlock the door to my room. Now, I'm going to show you what happened during my 2 nights stay. This is disgusting!! Absolutely unacceptable for ANY motel! Yes, these are real pics and I can prove it. I don't complain very ofen, but this is DISGUSTING!! People who rent tooms here can take them home with them, and your home will be infested within 60 days! DON'T STAY HERE!!

Excellent service

Staff is always amazing

The place was clean and well maintained. The housekeepers were attentive. Nightshift staff was excellent! We had a horrible experience with one of the day shift workers and no response from one of their property managers. Lying and manipulation is never a good thing to experience from any hotel staff!

There’s two motel 6s right across the street from each other but I’m glad my stay was with this one. It was a nice and friendly place, coffee was served every morning which was a plus. Only two things I didn’t like were, the roads to it were a bit hectic being right next to the ramp to exit/enter the highways. It was also a bit noisy around the area in general.

Motel 6 is mostly consistent. You know what you’re going to get, minimal amenities, good prices , easy parking and for the most part safe with abundance of eateries and close to the highway. For one night was fine. This was just that and we’re just passing through not vacationing. It met our expectations.

Pros: Close to the 5, 205 and 217 freeways. plenty of fast food, markets, gas stations, restaurants nearby. Good Price. Cons: Next door to strip club. Some highway noise. Somewhat dodgy vicinity. Cable TV was a bit spotty.

Great price - especially given how close it is to Lake Oswego, the interior of the hotel is clean and felt safe, clean rooms, loved that ours had a small fridge and microwave for snacks, and restaurants, Bridgeport Mall, and groceries at Safeway are all walkable.

Well located place in Tigard but right next to I5 which was very loud. They are upgrading which is nice to see. Staff friendly.

Simple clean basic. Quiet, decent parking (could be better lit.) neighborhood seemed safe. Convenient to I-5 and Safeway, fast food nearby. Short drive to Portland and Beaverton. Mattresses were a bit soft and old. All else A-OK. Very reasonable price for nice place. Love having no carpet or upholstered furniture for cleanliness.

Location was up against the freeway, and yet very quiet - forgot that's what we were next to. Room had a fridge and microwave, which made leftovers for breakfast a trip standard - super efficient.

The staff were very helpful! My only issue is that there are two hotels across the street from each other that are the same brand name? So I went to the wrong hotel first. Because that's where the GPS told me to go. Two Motel 6's right next to each other is a little confusing.

Room only had two sliver soap bars, and when I asked for shampoo at the front desk was told they didn't offer shampoo. Boo on them! Places to eat within a half mile walking were numerous. The Hop & Cork pub had 30 varieties of beer and a bar menu for supper. Good prices, too.

It was pretty clean but front desk workers needed to be stop talking to each others and also stop being on the phone. Coffee is not made when run out!… People upstairs with kids were too much of running around kept us awake from early morning to disturbed our sleep!
