Motel 6 Tigard, Or - Portland Southwest

The staff were friendly however the room left a lot to be desired. It looked like it had recently been redone which was nice, and the linens and room were clean. Now for the downside. The room had no microwave or fridge which I believe was listed in the description. The floor had soft spots in it which were concerning. The two pillows on the bed were the size of square decretive pillows. Since we were staying two nights we actually went out and bought two king size pillows of our own. We were traveling with two dogs which they assured us was no problem however there were very few places to take them to use the bathroom. That is understandable as it is in the city but would have been good to know before booking. The other drawback is that there is a bar on the other side of the parking lot, facing the motel, that does bring a lot of traffic and noise.

Need pet area

Staff is really friendly and efficient. The rooms are modernized. My one complaint is that the ice machine wasn't running.

there is no grass area to walk your dog. location next to a bar playing loud music. the sheets had holes and the room smelled like cigarette smoke

Need someplace to take your dog. A patch of concrete by a dumpster just doesn't work. Other than that it was a great stay!!!

Rooms smell like cigarettes

Floor was dirty. Made feet dirty so when you get in bed it dirtys sheets

The room smelled like cigarette. The toilet had a stain, which made it look like it hasn't been cleaned for a while. One of the lights didn't work in the room.

Floors were filthy. Turned my daughters feet black within minutes of playing in em. Fruit flys and nats all over the entire room from the front door to the bathroom.

The check in was easy and the guy that helped us was very nice. The room itself was cute- completely different than what the outside looks like. It is pretty dirty though, they could use a mop and some scrubbing but it really wasn’t bad for a Motel 6. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows are the size of throw pillows and you get one per person. Also, the towels sucked and we ended up buying one at the Fred Meyer next door. All in all, not a bad stay, just needs to be cleaned.

The non smoking room had smells of smoke, Around bed had smell of pee, all linens are dirty especially bath mat, toilet paper was wet, disgusting. People were making noise at outside and inside after midnight.

Remembering that this was a Motel 6 and not a 5-star luxury hotel, it was pretty plain, but the staff was very helpful, the room was squeaky clean, and everything in the room worked as it should. Recommended.

Horrible motel. We got a room that was so smoky and stank of cigarettes that we had to sleep with the window open. The curtains stank of cigarettes so much that it was impossible to even eat at the table that was by the window. Plus the additional smell of marijuana from the street. We stayed for one night and barely survived it because it was extremely difficult to breathe in room 108. I don’t know about the other rooms, but this one was terrible because of the smell. We would never stay there again.

Staff were super friendly, very walkable area, rooms were set up nicely and looked modern. Bathroom was super clean and had cute designs in toilet paper/towels. Downsides were dirty floors (appeared clean but grimy on feet), damp sheets, and had to walk to nearly the street to take the dogs out to use the restroom. Overall, super nice for a motel but would bring my own sheets and make sure to bring flipflops for the room.

Super clean and Luis was super nice and very professional. We traveled all the way from Texas and our Motel 6 are not this clean and well taken care of. We travel here to pick up or visit my my step daughter’s and it’s hard to find a clean, convenient and safe location since we do not know the area as much. Definitely have found our location for future stays!!

I forgot how bare-bones Motel 6 is. There was no fridge, microwave, or hairdryer in our room. One thing that bothered us was that we could barely close the curtains because the pleats had melted together in places. I think the heater below them must have done that.

This motel 6 is alright. Not nice but not too bad. My parents room kind of smelled like pee, and there is a bar in the parking lot that plays loud music. Our room was ok. Decently clean, hot shower and comfortable beds. Dogs stay free which is nice

The staff are very nice! Our room didn’t have a kettle or refrigerator but only paper cups and towels and soap. You would like to bring stuff on your own. Thank you for the safe stays!

The neighbors were loud after hours. There is no microwave or fridge in the room. There was a 50 dollar deposit for no reason.

Standard Motel 6. Clean enough. Comfortable enough. Front desk guy was super friendly. Appears people live here too though. Our room did not have a fridge or microwave, which I thought was standard. It did the trick for what we needed. No frills. But was good enough for a quick stay.

There was not even drawers for you to put clothing in, no table to eat at. No coffee maker, or microwave, you basically could sleep in the room that was it! Will never stay there again!

The room was immaculate and spacious. The TV was huge. The shower was perfect. The air conditioner worked really well and drowned out what little outside noise there was. The mattress was a little lumpy and the pillows were a little bit lumpy too. There wasn't any shampoo in our room or a hair dryer so if you need those items, you should probably pack them. There

Upstairs guests were loud, banging around, yelling, kids running up and down and jumping, sounded like they were moving furniture. Thin walls you can hear everything. Called to complain twice, but the front office staff couldn’t or wouldn’t leave the desk and tried to call them, but it didn’t do any good. Then started up again promptly at 7 am. Not a good time. But the staff were kind and refunded one of the nights. Rooms were ok but smelled smoky. Don’t leave the light on for me anymore. I’m good!

Quick check in quiet room

No complaints on the property or room. The room is actually one of the best Motel 6 rooms we’ve stayed in. My issue was the check in process. When I arrived Raquel was nice, I had a reservation.. she said she only saw one for Emily Harris which wasn’t me. Minutes later she found my reservation. Long story short she still processed the wrong reservation.. she kept trying to charge my card saying it was declined (the money was there) I received no notifications from the bank not sure what she was doing. then she got a snappy attitude, So I went and got my husbands card… she charged me room and deposit, then said she refunded it. The refund would take 3-5 days to return to my card so basically I had to pay twice for the room because of her error. She wasn’t apologetic or helpful until my husband came in from the car. Personally I think she may need to be trained on how to handle situations without inconveniencing a traveling customer. It wasn’t a great first impression of the property but the nice room helped turn the experience around. I extended a day and didn’t have to do anything further.

It was a good stay. Only issue is they charged me a 50 dollar deposit that I have not gotten back yet and actually was deducted from my bank. I am a clean freak, so I know I’ll get it back, just annoying to have to keep checking my account and calling the property.

We had to pay a $50 deposit in cash when we got there. We were told we could get it back in the morning when the office opens at 7:00. We were in a hurry and it was 7:30 before the office was open. We called many times

Not happy the tv didn't work and the guy couldn't fix it or resolve the issue. No room change, no refund, not happy.

I have stayed at this property numerous times and it never disappoints. It’s economical, has a friendly desk staff and is clean. Definitely recommended.

I was visiting family while they were patients at OHSU. I did not want to drive back and forth through downtown Portland. Motel 6 was just 10 quick minutes away. Since I was just "sleeping" there, it was perfect. Easy access from I-5. Easy access to OHSU. It was clean. Morning and evening staff were friendly and helpful.

Very easily accessible by highway 5. Great for a one night travel stay

It's average. The rooms are spacious and it's relatively peaceful. The manager is kind overall. There was lots of sidewalk construction nearby so not very walkable overall, but the bus is really close. Hot water worked great. Bottom line, it's safe and clean.

We checked in later that night and it went smoothly. The staff in the lobby who took care of us was friendly and accommodating. This place is accessible to different businesses like restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Will be booking here again for sure in the future!

I have stayed at this hotel many times during my visits in the Tigard area. Price is reasonable, the rooms are clean and the management is friendly. Furthermore, it’s convenient to restaurants, highways and shopping.

Ok stay. Very loud due to road construction.

Went to the lobby for coffee, no cream and the area was unkept. Toilet paper holder was broken, no toiletries and uncomfortable beds.

The hotel is very upgraded and you get a nice room for a very reasonable price. A restaurant is right close next door. Very friendly and accommodating front desk staff.

Very clean room and hotel. I'm diabetic so they even brought me a refrigerator. The office doesn't open until 7 am but my last morning i had to leave early so they opened to allow me to make coffee.
