We loved the hotel. The 24/7 shuttle service was a pleasant luxury on two very cold nights. The woman running valet and the shuttle service has exceptional customer service skills. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room was great and front desk was also great. Need to get an ATM installed instead of sending people to the hotel next door. Condition of pool room needed some work. Pool/water was fine, as were seating and towels, but some signage on the pool with the water depth needed to be cleaned, there is paint peeling on ceiling and walls, and the clock needs batteries as it didn't work. Minor stuff, overall.

The ceiling paint in the pool area is chipping and falling. Wish the restaurant at the hotel had more food options and was opened with a clear sit down menu. The Starbucks had limited options as well. However, the staff were very pleasant, and the room was clean and comfortable.

Located steps away from the Old Port section of Portland, the hotel is close to many restaurants and breweries. Our room was spacious and bathroom was very clean. Loved the shower, and the air conditioner and heat functioned very well. We traveled with two children (10 & 5) and they really enjoyed the pool, which is located to the side of the elevators in the lobby. Pool was smallish, about 15’x25’, depth going from 3 feet to 5 feet at the far end. Water was pleasantly warm too which was great. Our 2nd floor room was just around the corner from the elevators and the fitness room, which we used too. It comes equipped with two Peleton bikes, three treadmills, three eliptical machines, barbells, and pulls. Area seemed safe, many shops and restaurants nearby and minutes away. I would recommend staying at this hotel. Also, parking is valet only at $35.

This hotel forces you to valet park your vehicle. They had 1 valet on in the morning. Had a 60 minute wait to get vehicle. It was a nightmare every time I wanted to leave and needed vehicle.This hotel is overpriced too.

I chose this hotel because it had an electric car charger. The staff promised to charge my car during the night. Unfortunately they could not figure out how to open the car charge port - it opens inside with a button on the driver's side. We showed them how to do it at 6 AM and got some charge before leaving. However, they did not properly close the charge cover and somehow also they unlatched out hood - maybe while trying to figure out how to open the charging port. As a result of these errors, our hood nearly flew open on the highway and the protective cap over the charging port was nearly broken off. The rest of the staff was friendly and capable. The valet parking staff may need a bit of training around electric car charging.

The staff were very nice. We used the lobby to play games and eat dinner one night. The bar tender was amazing as well. The room were just ok. We had a junior suite and the pull out sofa was not good. No sheets or pillows. The thermostat was in that room and the heat was in the parents bedroom area. One was hot while the other was cold. The bathroom was ok, the shower didn’t have a door closing you in. The pool was not heated. The gym was very nice. I guess I should have done more research before booking.

Well, it would have been nicer if they had free parking. Or at least let us no ahead of time there wasn’t. We didn’t even know how much it was for valet parking until I saw the charge this morning. Also the pool was out of commission so we couldn’t use that.

We booked a room with 2 queens beds thru Expedia , got to the hotel and was told they were full and we would have to sleep in a room with a queen and a pull out couch which was horrible . Old sheets were still in the pull out , rooms weren’t cleaned the next day too . Bathroom had mold . The big plus would be the location which was important for us.

We didn't have a great stay. Our room was not cleaned and when asked if we could get it cleaned they sent a cleaner who claimed not to be a cleaner but just someone who brings towels. There was also mess in the hallways.

The hotel is beautiful and the local is super convenient. My only wish is that the shower was nicer :) The water pressure was good, but the shower head was the simplest and didn’t match the overall feeling. Please invest in nicer showers?

All was fairly good, but I'm pretty sure I did not get the room I paid for. It was incredibly small. My reservation said it was 600 sq ft, but it was definitely less than 400 sq ft. The location of the room was terrible, too. Basically right outside the main elevator. You could hear everything. In the morning it sounded like the people in the next room were in our room with us. It all seemed very clean and modern. I loved the bathroom and the shower was spacious and unique. The artwork around the room also gave it a nice feel. Our window had a view of the building next door and the dumpster, so that aspect was not attractive at all. My suggestion to anyone going is to make sure you get screenshots of your expected room reservation. I felt like I got cheated by the size, location, and view from our room. I specifically chose that room because of the space listed and I didn't get that at all.

This was our first trip to Portland and our time in this amazing city was further amplified by this great hotel. The room seemed brand new and extremely spaces - we had two king beds for our family of four! The lobby is a great meeting area and has a lounge that functions as a Starbucks in the morning and nice bar in the evening. And all of Portland's Old Port attractions are a short walk away.

All view! (with a parking lot in the way) The check in was simple. Room was clean and exactly as you would expect a Courtyard to look. The location was great. Just a tad off center of the "main drag"... with a view of the harbor over the top of a parking lot. Food was a quick half mile walk. Check in and check out were as expected again, for a courtyard. I'd stay there again.

Good location and the free shuttle service but overall I was very disappointed in this Marriott. The hotel lobby and the rooms are very cold and don’t provide a relaxing atmosphere. The front desk was not very helpful or knowledgeable. We had a problem with the door to our room, it was very difficult to open and we asked for maintenance to check it out, they never came. There is seldom anyone in the restaurant or bar and they are expensive. Don’t bother buying a candy bar, $7.00 for a kit kat.

Great location. Close to shopping and food establishments. Staff was friendly but our safe didn't work and staff couldn't reset it. Also toilet kept flushing all night long by itself. Staff said twice they would address it but did not. Also on a four day stay we ran out of toilet paper.

Terrific stay. Every staff member I encountered was so friendly, welcoming and polite. They were amazing! I rarely find such friendly staff at hotels. The room was huge and comfortable and clean. The location was walkable to restaurants and shops.

The person at the front desk didn't know how to process our reservation because we booked through Expedia. We were there for 2 nights and no one cleaned our room. You could hear EVERYTHING through the adjoining room door. I'll never stay there again.

The property was fine but shouldn’t be advertised as Waterfront as it really isn’t. we were given the wrong room initially ( without a pull out double bed) but the desk manager worked hard to rearrange other guests and was able to rectify the oversight. She was very accommodating.

The hotel is in the convenient location to Old Port and harbor. The hotel is fully upgraded and renovated. Only complaint I have is the surprising additional charge I have to pay. Given the location and the time I stay, I knew the price range. I booked through the app, while paid at the hotel. Where I was charged more than the price quote I received on the app, while unfortunately I didn’t have the original price quote saved and couldn’t find on the app again. So I’m not happy with the pricing, both Hotel.com and the hotel.

Location near the waterfront - not the greatest views (industrial, w/ water in the distance - at least from our room on the third floor). Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in! Blackout curtains did the job, and I think we had a white noise machine in our room (it was either that or an air purifier due to the recent Canadian fires/smoke), which was a great touch. The staff was super friendly! When our request for additional pillows wasn't fulfilled the first night and we asked again the next morning, they were extremely apologetic and not only ran pillows up to our room immediately, but offered us free drinks from the snack shop. Each morning the restaurant/coffee bar was bustling, and the lovely young lady running it was the epitome of grace under fire. I wish I remembered her name! All in all a great 2-night stay, and we'd surely return if we're ever in Portland again.

One night stay, not enough food options no restaurant only cafe, no dedicated bar. Generous check in time and midday check out. Altogether felt like not enough attention paid to details. Pool was warm enough, no changing area , or sauna jacuzzi .overpriced.

Great people wonderful. Clean my husband misplaced his meds and they were wonderful with helping him get a pharmacy. The lady who helped from the bistro was great. The front manager was knowledgeable. They gave us info about the area. We called and those guys were great. Friendly fast getting car.suggested places to visit. All good

Good location and the free shuttle service but overall I was very disappointed in this Marriott. The hotel lobby and the rooms are very cold and don’t provide a relaxing atmosphere. The front desk was not very helpful or knowledgeable. We had a problem with the door to our room, it was very difficult to open and we asked for maintenance to check it out, they never came. There is seldom anyone in the restaurant or bar and they are expensive. Don’t bother buying a candy bar, $7.00 for a kit kat.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at the hotel! Despite the hotel being incredibly busy, Brandon went out of his way to pick us up with the shuttle, which we really appreciated. The entire team, without exception, was exceptional! We were particularly touched by the bartender who made a late-night bagel for our son when he was hungry. This truly went above and beyond our expectations! We loved being able to walk to all our favorite spots from the hotel - it made our stay even more enjoyable. We're already planning our return because this has become our new favorite hotel in Portland! The family-friendly atmosphere really made a difference for us.
