I loved the layout of the property and the wonderful pool and hot tub! The food and drinks were amazing with a farm to table philosophy! Most of the staff were very kind and accommodating! Our favorite was Caroline, she checked us in and was so helpful. It has a very laid back feeling while also offering many luxuries. This was our first visit and we hope to have the pleasure to return sometime soon!

We had a wonderful time at the Sparrows Lodge. Alec was especially helpful and everyone was very kind and professional. Beautiful surroundings, pool, hot tub and trees overflowing with fruit. Could a few more cabinets for clothes. Only complaint would be the parking can be an issue as the restaurant fills up the lot due to the great food. We had to park on the street behind the lodge numerous times as when we came home for the day the lot was full

Sparrows Lodge is a total dream. I needed a little peace and quiet / a solo vacation. I booked a garden room for a few nights and couldn’t have asked for a better vibe. The lodge has a very low-key luxury, intimate feel to it. Food is amazing, pool was great (no loud music or obnoxious people), beds are super comfy, and the garden made for a perfect reading spot. Also, everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back :)

We loved our 4 night stay (Mon-Fri) at Sparrows Lodge. We wished we did not need to leave. The room is very cute, and the common rooms are cozy. We especially enjoyed the room with the fireplace. We ate at the restaurant one of the nights and found the food to be delicious. All of the staff were very friendly. We had timely service of our room each time when requested. The pool and hot tub were perfect. We used the bikes provided to bike to the downtown strip of Palm Springs on one of the days, and these worked great. Parking was never an issue (although we were here on less busy days). The only small issue we encountered was our neighbouring room guests were playing music late at night, which seemed to translate through our shared wall very easily (as it could not be heard from outside their room). That being said, the overnight front desk staff dealt with this right away when we let her know, and let us know that there is a process for escalating these concerns (we learned that these guests had already been reprimanded once). We would highly recommend staying at Sparrows Lodge, especially if seeking a cozy and respectful environment.

The facility decor, plants, art and lighting were very pleasant. As far as security a homeless person got in and the police took a long time to respond. The parking lot was not safe our car got hit booth days parked right in the front. $$$ in damage. When i asked the general manager about the security camera's he stated that he could not share it due to others privacy. At a cost to my privacy at thousands of dollars. My insurance company will be submitting a claim against the property.

This is a hidden gem near downtown Palm Springs. We are in the short term vacation rental business and also focus on luxury accommodations. We really appreciated the beautiful grounds and the layout for dining. 10 stars for their morning breakfast! As first timers we felt check in was awkward, as there were no signs to direct you from the parking area and you had to drag your luggage through the pool area to the bar for check in. When we checked in we made our dining reservations and were told they were full until 8:15. While we were waiting around, exhausted from the days travel, a couple requested a table for dinner and stated they did not have a reservation. They were shown a table immediately while we waited another 90 minutes. Then when they were done we were told we could have that table and someone else was then seated there. Bottom line is that we felt hotel guests should be given some priority for dining. We canceled our reservation for the next night and ate downtown. Overall the stay was very pleasant.

I stayed 2 nights and I easily could’ve stayed longer. It WAS hot 110 degrees but….. as they say it’s “dry”heat and I was in the pool the entire time. My room was cozy and clean. The stone shower was great, it felt like I was showering outside. If it hadn’t been so hot, the hammock on my patio would’ve been a perfect place to nap or read. The restaurant there was perfect and I like that, I didn’t have to leave the property. I’m a very picky eater. Fortunately, the menu had lots of choices so, I didn’t have to sound like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally!! “ I’ll have the chef’s salad oil & vinegar on the side, and the apple pie a la mode, but, strawberry ice cream not vanilla & on the side” you know the deal! Breakfast, which is included, offers delicious banana bread along with yogurt, granola and fresh fruit. You’ll find Jen & Desi in the barn (where the restaurant is)! They’re warm and welcoming, fun to talk with and they made sure, I had everything I needed. One last thing…. I admit, I WAS disappointed that they don’t allow pool “toys”, floats, rafts or noodles!! I’d been dreaming about quietly, floating in the pool with my stupid noodle!! It’s their off season so, there was never more than 4 people by the pool. It wasn’t like it was so crowded, I was at risk of accidentally, bopping someone in the head with my noodle! Oh well, I’m hoping that policy will change. But, that was the ONLY thing that disappointed. 10 out of 10 !!

We were there when it was cold- staff was lovely and food was good- breakfast a little over- rated we paid a fair amount extra for hard boiled eggs rather weak coffee and cheese cubes - the gardens with lemon and orange trees and palms and pools are gorgeous- water features, fire pits. In the right mind set a superb place but luxury definitely is a little rough-

Loved the design of the barn and the property grounds. The art was terrific. Attention to cleanliness and keeping the property well maintained was appreciated. The food was fresh and delicious. Bravo to the chef. The staff was warm and friendly showing genuine care and concern. Room 4 - bed too small for 2 people. Next time, room 15. Bikes need gel covers on the seats and handlebars need to be raised so they don’t bump legs when cycling. Tires were not pumped up. Better yet: new bikes. Chris the GM was delightful. A wonderful stay….

This was our first time staying at the Sparrows Lodge and we will definitely be back. It is small, intimate and quiet with a wonderful staff, food and drinks. There are no TVs or phones so you need to be ready to relax. Some of the rooms could use a bit more insulation, but you can’t beat the location, the vibe and the atmosphere

The walls are so thin that you can hear everything! That means every single conversation while you are in your garden room and people are dining in the garden. You hear every single argument, bodily noise and conversation of your neighbors. The property is really stylish and cute but no amount of style can make up for not sleeping well.

We loved our 4 night stay (Mon-Fri) at Sparrows Lodge. We wished we did not need to leave. The room is very cute, and the common rooms are cozy. We especially enjoyed the room with the fireplace. We ate at the restaurant one of the nights and found the food to be delicious. All of the staff were very friendly. We had timely service of our room each time when requested. The pool and hot tub were perfect. We used the bikes provided to bike to the downtown strip of Palm Springs on one of the days, and these worked great. Parking was never an issue (although we were here on less busy days). The only small issue we encountered was our neighbouring room guests were playing music late at night, which seemed to translate through our shared wall very easily (as it could not be heard from outside their room). That being said, the overnight front desk staff dealt with this right away when we let her know, and let us know that there is a process for escalating these concerns (we learned that these guests had already been reprimanded once). We would highly recommend staying at Sparrows Lodge, especially if seeking a cozy and respectful environment.

I stayed 2 nights and I easily could’ve stayed longer. It WAS hot 110 degrees but….. as they say it’s “dry”heat and I was in the pool the entire time. My room was cozy and clean. The stone shower was great, it felt like I was showering outside. If it hadn’t been so hot, the hammock on my patio would’ve been a perfect place to nap or read. The restaurant there was perfect and I like that, I didn’t have to leave the property. I’m a very picky eater. Fortunately, the menu had lots of choices so, I didn’t have to sound like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally!! “ I’ll have the chef’s salad oil & vinegar on the side, and the apple pie a la mode, but, strawberry ice cream not vanilla & on the side” you know the deal! Breakfast, which is included, offers delicious banana bread along with yogurt, granola and fresh fruit. You’ll find Jen & Desi in the barn (where the restaurant is)! They’re warm and welcoming, fun to talk with and they made sure, I had everything I needed. One last thing…. I admit, I WAS disappointed that they don’t allow pool “toys”, floats, rafts or noodles!! I’d been dreaming about quietly, floating in the pool with my stupid noodle!! It’s their off season so, there was never more than 4 people by the pool. It wasn’t like it was so crowded, I was at risk of accidentally, bopping someone in the head with my noodle! Oh well, I’m hoping that policy will change. Well we booked it a month in advance on orbitz. Arrived at the hotel and sparrows says that because of a “software glitch” they did not have my reservation and the hotel is sold out and tough crap there is nothing they can do. Unbelievably bad service. Orbitz stepped up and booked us at the Parker which was fantastic and an upgrade from crap sparrows. Stay away, they don’t know what they are doing. They didn’t offer a dinner or discount for a return stay or anything.

My most recent stay at Sparrows lodge did not compare to my past stay and it was evident that the new management does not compare to the level of service and hospitality I had experienced in the past. From the moment my girlfriends an I walked up to the checkin desk, we knew something was missing, Colby\'s welcome. We were not greeted at the table and we were even rudely asked if we were "hotel guests". To that we answered "well yes, we are trying to check in." The first impression did not get much better from there as they did not have our dinner reservation that we had made earlier that week, our massage reservations were also not in "their system", they ran out of the welcome sangria..., they took 20 mins to tell us that they were out of the chicken mole dish we ordered, and when we finally made it to dinner the food took over an hour to come out. A few more disappointments: no misters by the pool, even though it was over 100 degrees, no returning guest gift, even though we know candles and hats were given in the past, and the breakfast was lacking with no eggs or salad that we had in the past. With all these disappointments, we may sadly rethink returning to sparrows lodge until they can return to the level of service and hospitality they had in the past.

I was waiting to post this as we were told the manager would be reaching out to us, but he hasn't yet. We were so looking forward to our two night stay here. The room was a little unexpected, more rustic and less chic for the price, and definitely could hear everything in the ajoining room and outside. Everything went fine until our last dinner when we waited for over an hour to receive our food. We ordered two manhattans at the bar and were told there was no vermouth so instead received a different cocktail that was overly sweet. We ordered a salad, which never came and two burgers, both of which were cold and overcooked. We expected more from this restaurant given the reviews and actually cancelled a dinner at a different place just to enjoy our last night at the hotel. We were comped our food and bev, but the evening was spoiled. Staff was very apologetic saying that there was just one person in the kitchen. They were clearly short staffed and inexperienced on a Monday night. Our check-in was great, however, and the staff at that time was very experienced and kind.

Loved the ambience and the fact that they allow dogs so I was able to bring both of my fur babies on our trip. Beautiful fruit trees gardens and swimming area. The only issue are reason for the 4 star review is because of staff member Brianna. She was extremely rude during our entire stay and not just rude to us but other guests as well. We spoke to another couple who were staying in the hotel and they said the same about her attitude and negative demeanor. All other staff were incredible and displayed excellent customer service. I am unsure why this person works here seeing as we paid over 1K to stay for 2 nights and I expected a fabulous experience with the upmost customer service. I am still in shock at how she spoke to us and other guests and hope management will address this issue. Other than this one person, we had a great experience. We enjoyed the firepits, dinner, and our room was perfect.

This was our first time staying at the Sparrows Lodge and we will definitely be back. It is small, intimate and quiet with a wonderful staff, food and drinks. There are no TVs or phones so you need to be ready to relax. Some of the rooms could use a bit more insulation, but you can’t beat the location, the vibe and the atmosphere

We had a wonderful time at the Sparrows Lodge. Alec was especially helpful and everyone was very kind and professional. Beautiful surroundings, pool, hot tub and trees overflowing with fruit. Could a few more cabinets for clothes. Only complaint would be the parking can be an issue as the restaurant fills up the lot due to the great food. We had to park on the street behind the lodge numerous times as when we came home for the day the lot was full

This is a hidden gem near downtown Palm Springs. We are in the short term vacation rental business and also focus on luxury accommodations. We really appreciated the beautiful grounds and the layout for dining. 10 stars for their morning breakfast! As first timers we felt check in was awkward, as there were no signs to direct you from the parking area and you had to drag your luggage through the pool area to the bar for check in. When we checked in we made our dining reservations and were told they were full until 8:15. While we were waiting around, exhausted from the days travel, a couple requested a table for dinner and stated they did not have a reservation. They were shown a table immediately while we waited another 90 minutes. Then when they were done we were told we could have that table and someone else was then seated there. Bottom line is that we felt hotel guests should be given some priority for dining. We canceled our reservation for the next night and ate downtown. Overall the stay was very pleasant.

Lovely facility but you have to be in the right mindset for the rooms- feed troughs for bathtubs, open showers, high set sink- definitely not cosy or free of sharp edges. We were there when it was cold- staff was lovely and food was good- breakfast a little over- rated we paid a fair amount extra for hard boiled eggs rather weak coffee and cheese cubes - the gardens with lemon and orange trees and palms and pools are gorgeous- water features, fire pits. What a great get-away destination! Very relaxing, laid-back, great friendly staff. Food was excellent. The property has a very unique charm and vibe. Quiet and calming. Wife had a message by Steve that she described as “life changing”. We can’t wait to go back. I would stay here again without hesitation.

A few more disappointments: no misters by the pool, even though it was over 100 degrees, no returning guest gift, even though we know candles and hats were given in the past, and the breakfast was lacking with no eggs or salad that we had in the past. With all these disappointments, we may sadly rethink returning to sparrows lodge until they can return to the level of service and hospitality they had in the past.
My most recent stay at Sparrows lodge did not compare to my past stay and it was evident that the new management does not compare to the level of service and hospitality I had experienced in the past. From the moment my girlfriends an I walked up to the checkin desk, we knew something was missing, Colby\'s welcome. We were not greeted at the table and we were even rudely asked if we were "hotel guests". To that we answered "well yes, we are trying to check in." I was waiting to post this as we were told the manager would be reaching out to us, but he hasn't yet. We were so looking forward to our two night stay here. The room was a little unexpected, more rustic and less chic for the price, and definitely could hear everything in the ajoining room and outside. Everything went fine until our last dinner when we waited for over an hour to receive our food. We ordered two manhattans at the bar and were told there was no vermouth so instead received a different cocktail that was overly sweet. We ordered a salad, which never came and two burgers, both of which were cold and overcooked. We expected more from this restaurant given the reviews and actually cancelled a dinner at a different place just to enjoy our last night at the hotel. We were comped our food and bev, but the evening was spoiled. Staff was very apologetic saying that there was just one person in the kitchen. They were clearly short staffed and inexperienced on a Monday night. Our check-in was great, however, and the staff at that time was very experienced and kind.

This property is totally miss managed by the General Manger (Alex) at least that is what he told us he was. To sum up Alex unfortunately he suffers from Small Man syndrome, which means it’s Alex way or no way. Unfortunately his attitude has disempowers the staff who are forced to behave in a mardy way. The guest at these lodgings is definitely the least important person. As they sell the property on the food quality it is unbelievable that they don’t carry enough food to satisfy all their guests for breakfast, what makes this even more ridiculous the offering are so very limited. In respect to the evening food this was very poor and amateurish with little or no level of service. When eventually served the customer was expected to be grateful for the strange child like attempts at high cuisine. In short avoid this place like the plague until Alex moves on to ruin some another establishment.

This is a hidden gem near downtown Palm Springs. We are in the short term vacation rental business and also focus on luxury accommodations. We really appreciated the beautiful grounds and the layout for dining. 10 stars for their morning breakfast! As first timers we felt check in was awkward, as there were no signs to direct you from the parking area and you had to drag your luggage through the pool area to the bar for check in. When we checked in we made our dining reservations and were told they were full until 8:15. While we were waiting around, exhausted from the days travel, a couple requested a table for dinner and stated they did not have a reservation. They were shown a table immediately while we waited another 90 minutes. Then when they were done we were told we could have that table and someone else was then seated there. Bottom line is that we felt hotel guests should be given some priority for dining. We canceled our reservation for the next night and ate downtown. Overall the stay was very pleasant.

I travel frequently for work so I have a lot of hotels to compare this place too. One of the best hotels I have stayed at, amazing facilities, great vibe & attention to detail in the rooms & common areas. But the thing that sets this hotel apart is the staff, they did an absolute amazing job. Complimentary watermelon & popsicles by the pool during the day, or even smores by the campfire! Wow, just wow!

This place is magical! It’s so peaceful and relaxing. The music by the pool was perfect and didn’t feel obnoxious like some of the other hotels can. The food was great , the drinks were great and the staff was great! Can’t wait to come back!
