I had a fantastic time in Copal. They had complimentary parking but you could also rent a bike if you wanted. I ate in the gastrobar for breakfast and lunch, food was very good and prices were normal for what’s in the area. I stayed in a 1 bedroom jungle view room. The hotel itself is gorgeous, very peaceful, the staff is amazing. We mostly dealt with Johnny and he was so nice, gave us great restaurant recommendations, and overall a really welcoming presence. The kitchen comes equipped with basic kitchen ware such as cutlery, plates, cups, pans to cook in etc. We got a deep tissue massage from the healing spot, it was fantastic. The masseuse was very friendly and listened to what you requested, the price point was also very reasonable unlike many other spas that are overpriced. The hotel is located near the main avenue, you have a 7/11 and gas station less than 5 minutes away so that’s very convenient, and you have a supermarket about 7 minutes away. Getting on the main avenue is less than a 10 minute drive so it’s perfect if you plan on taking day trips you’re very close to the center and can pretty much go anywhere without much added commute time. The hotel is located within a 30-40 minute drive from the airport. The only negative I have on the hotel is that I think the maintenance on it could be a bit better. The shower and faucet has a lot of water build up, the kitchen drawer liners are a bit stained, there are some dents on the doors, etc. Small details.

We really enjoyed our stay at Copal and I would stay again. The private rooftop pool was really special and the jungle views were amazing. The apartment was well equipped but could do with some more cutlery and a kettle. Before going, I was concerned about the area not feeling safe or being loud with development but this wasn’t the case. The area felt safe and convenient for getting to other parts of Tulum - I saw many women walking their dogs alone after dark. There is work going on in the area but I didn’t hear it and it didn’t affect Copal because of the jungle trees hiding it from view- I’m usually sensitive to this sort of thing. The roads and paths were fine and walkable -even with a pushchair. Nearby park for kids & on street parking readily available outside the hotel. We stayed with our toddler and he loved the main pool downstairs because it had shady parts. If you prefer sun, there is also the rooftop pool - or a private rooftop pool if you choose those rooms (which I thought was well worth it for us with a toddler during nap time). Small gym was helpful. You can rent bikes from the hotel but we didn’t. Overall, I would recommend Copal; it was actually my favourite hotel from our whole trip in Mexico (5 hotels in total). The only thing I would say, at the end of our stay my partner heard someone mention that we could visit Copal’s sister hotel for free. Not sure how true that is but it would have been nice to know since our final hotel was nearby to it.

Staff is so friendly. Everyone was so courteous and check out isnt until 12pm which is a benefit, they arranged a driver for us as well to pick us up from the airport. I will definitely be back. The room was also beautiful and spacious, came with its own pool. We only stayed one night. The food at their restaurant was also very delicious we ate there for dinner and breakfast and they have HOOKAH.

Overall, good stay for the money. The location is central to beach (about 10 mins drive) and the town area - you can walk there 15 mins walk. Lots of little cute cafes around the area that are walkable as well. Pool area is small and gym is tiny so if you are coming for that, then it’s not the right hotel probably but the rooms are beautiful and cozy.

I booked the most expensive room and it had bed bugs. I woke up with over 36 bites all over my body when I alerted the staff they acted as if they didn't know about the problem until I told them I had photos. Then the story changed. I tried to allow them to make things right but unfortunately they blamed the pesticide company! There was loud construction being done every day. It was just not the experience I was looking for in a vacation. I would recommend a hotel closer to the beach with better reviews and food choices.

BEWARE!! Mold!! The room smelled of a mildew stench, they offered us another room but we left the hotel. Then refused to give us a refund. Deplorable behavior and I will leave reviews on every platform I can find. They were completely friendly as we chose to leave the hotel and then withheld our money. They refused to give it back to the travel website. Sickening. DO NOT BOOK.

The hotel was pretty and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful and the onsite restaurants were amazing. The room was exceptionally moldy to the point where it was uncomfortable to be in and my allergies were very active making it hard to breath.

The facilities beautiful, nice, room was clean but outside private pool area was dirty, dirty dishes left behind and pool was full of debri. Besides that, all was nice. Staff was very friendly.

Health Warning!! ALERT! ALERT! The properties location is great! Staff is amazing! Mold amd mildew smell is why I'm giving them 2 stars. We checked another room out that was equivalent to our room and it was also mold and a mildew smell. We were informed by the hotel staff that it was the A/C units. They did come service the units and it temporarily solved the problem. The smell is embedded in all my clothes , suitcase, purse. This is a health hazard and should be fixed.

The hotel and our room was spotless and spacious. Really had the feeling we had arrived at a little tranquil, relaxation oasis of calm in the bustling city. The staf were always very helpful in any questions we had. 10/10 would recommend.

Very big and comfortable and pretty as seen in the pictures. Probably the most comfortable hotel we lived during this trip. It’s in an hotel area which is not so convenient if you want to shop around. But I feel there are enough things to do here for relaxing. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel and both are good but a bit pricy. The spa service is very good but also for a price. There are more good places to eat if you don’t mind walking around. It is true some of the roads nearby are terrible. But most of the roads are fine and this area feels very safe. Take your time if you drive here and the gps leads you to somewhere with bad road. There are normally other ways to avoid those bad roads. The private pool is not heat up so think about it when it’s not too hot. They don’t have free breakfast so we bought some bread and eggs and cook our own. They have full kitchen space which is very convenient in this case

Hotellet är väldigt trevligt. Ligger nära ett utsatt område i Tulum där det saknas gatulampor och är mörkt. Det var ofta kö till receptionen. Wifi var något osäkert, fick använda wifi tillhörande rummet bredvid. Restaurang och pool var väldigt trevliga.

I really enjoyed my stay at Copal. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt to all my requests. The location is in a great area and not that far from the city. I gave this property four stars because of the condition of my door. There were times that I could not lock it, which was kind of scary at night. But other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

Nydelig hotell, rene og fine rom, flotte fasiliteter og rolig vibe og omgivelser. Personellet var også veldig hyggelige og behjelpelige. Det eneste minuset er at rommet vårt var egentlig del av et connected rom, men døren var låst slik at det ble to separate rom - og det var ekstremt lytt ned til det andre rommet/leiligheten under. Man kunne høre absolutt alt naboene gjorde og pratet om, til tross for at hotellet reklamerer for lydtette rom. Men gitt så hyggelig personale og flott hotell ellers, vil jeg uansett gi oppholdet 5 stjerner.

I had a fantastic time in Copal. They had complimentary parking but you could also rent a bike if you wanted. I ate in the gastrobar for breakfast and lunch, food was very good and prices were normal for what’s in the area. I stayed in a 1 bedroom jungle view room. The hotel itself is gorgeous, very peaceful, the staff is amazing. We mostly dealt with Johnny and he was so nice, gave us great restaurant recommendations, and overall a really welcoming presence. The kitchen comes equipped with basic kitchen ware such as cutlery, plates, cups, pans to cook in etc. We got a deep tissue massage from the healing spot, it was fantastic. The masseuse was very friendly and listened to what you requested, the price point was also very reasonable unlike many other spas that are overpriced. The hotel is located near the main avenue, you have a 7/11 and gas station less than 5 minutes away so that’s very convenient, and you have a supermarket about 7 minutes away. Getting on the main avenue is less than a 10 minute drive so it’s perfect if you plan on taking day trips you’re very close to the center and can pretty much go anywhere without much added commute time. The hotel is located within a 30-40 minute drive from the airport. The only negative I have on the hotel is that I think the maintenance on it could be a bit better. The shower and faucet has a lot of water build up, the kitchen drawer liners are a bit stained, there are some dents on the doors, etc. Small details.

We been going there almost once a month, if not more for years. You would think people we absolutely remember and recognize would treat us better. We have a mediocre service. Where they one a tip for just opening the door… They started to kick us out exactly at 12;00 where we actually had another day stay (which, no matter how many years we been loyal to Copal, would not refund, as we booked the wrong day). The mattresses and linens were great, now they have been changed. My husband and I woke up with out backs hurting.

The staff at the Copal Tulum Hotel was the best part of my experience, every single one of them was very helpful right from the beginning. Even before I got there they took care of my airport pick up. Right as I got to the hotel Anna was there with a smile and a calming good vibe, Max was always available to help and give recommendations, Johnny at the excursion desk was absolutely charming and my boys Diego and Manuel at the restaurant always took care of me. The ambience of the hotel was great, very clean and most importantly clam and relaxing as advertised, which is exactly what i wanted. I’d definitely stay here again the next time I am in Tulum.

One of the best hotels ever. If you want peace and quiet- good food, beautiful grounds, safety, and the most outstanding staff ever- you will love Copal. Ivy, Johnny, and Victor at the front desk were nothing short of amazing and friendly. The hostess/waitress Paola, was super helpful. She found us a driver that was half the price of the others. I cannot tell you how much I loved this hotel. You must go experience it for yourself. We are returning with our family!!

Where do I begin? Ana @ the front desk was awesome. Extremely helpful in answering all our questions and arranging our pick up and drop offs. Johnny also was great showing us around. Aaron @ the restaurant was awesome as well. Tomas our driver to and from the airport also was all you can ask for! The Hotel itself was super clean, the jungle vibe, A yoga set up every morning. This is just the vacation I needed. Relaxing and tranquil. Came here w family and they all enjoyed it as well. One more thing is the proximity to all beaches, excursions, and night life was the cherry on top!

The staff was amazing! I stayed during hurricane Beryl and I felt so safe at the hotel. The staff gave us updates of what’s going on through WhatsApp. Anything you asked for they gave you. Everyone is extremely nice. The room was clean, pool amazing. There isn’t much of a view. You’re surrounded by trees but that wasn’t a problem for me. Food was great, especially the sushi served at the restaurant upstairs. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I was skeptical because of the bad reviews but I loved my time here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Copal and I would stay again. The private rooftop pool was really special and the jungle views were amazing. The apartment was well equipped but could do with some more cutlery and a kettle. Before going, I was concerned about the area not feeling safe or being loud with development but this wasn’t the case. The area felt safe and convenient for getting to other parts of Tulum - I saw many women walking their dogs alone after dark. There is work going on in the area but I didn’t hear it and it didn’t affect Copal because of the jungle trees hiding it from view- I’m usually sensitive to this sort of thing. The roads and paths were fine and walkable -even with a pushchair. Nearby park for kids & on street parking readily available outside the hotel. We stayed with our toddler and he loved the main pool downstairs because it had shady parts. If you prefer sun, there is also the rooftop pool - or a private rooftop pool if you choose those rooms (which I thought was well worth it for us with a toddler during nap time). Small gym was helpful. You can rent bikes from the hotel but we didn’t. Overall, I would recommend Copal; it was actually my favourite hotel from our whole trip in Mexico (5 hotels in total). The only thing I would say, at the end of our stay my partner heard someone mention that we could visit Copal’s sister hotel for free. Not sure how true that is but it would have been nice to know since our final hotel was nearby to it.

Such a beautiful property, conveniently located. We were close to many restaurants and only a 10 min drive from the strip. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Would definitely stay at Copal again when in Tulum.

Room was clean although starting to show some wear and tear. Everything was as described and had ordered room service several times. The restaurants on site are a huge help for quick meals. There is an OXXO around the corner and it's about a 10 min walk into the heart of Aldea Zama.

It’s a lovely boutique hotel with a great design. It has greenery in the center and a great pool with restaurant that has good food. The upstairs rooftop pool is very nice as well. The neighborhood however, was a mix of people living in shantytown type of living. The cenote behind the hotel would be nice if they picked up the trash, but there’s a lot of it.

The hotel, the lower ground pool, and the room looked nice. However, the room had dirty towels, and once we asked for clean ones, the service kept forgetting so we had to keep asking. Once we received the new towels they appeared dirty again. This was pretty bad service for such a relatively expensive hotel. The food in the restaurant was nice, but expensive. The hotel staff was kind, and offered services for planning your day / evening trip anywhere. The hotel is not far from the main Tulum beach, where all the restaurants and bars are.

The pool and restaurant were very beautiful. The room was pretty good but the bathroom needs a bit of TLC. I would have liked for the scooters, bikes and tours offered by the hotel to be a bit cheaper. You can find much cheaper options nearby. We didn’t like Tulum very much, it was too expensive and touristy but we were glad we could come back to a nice hotel and relax in the pool.

This hotel was beautiful! I had an amazing time during my stay for my birthday. I’d definitely visit again, the staff was very friendly. The restaurants were excellent as well. We also had great massages. 10/10 experience!

Our stay was very short but peaceful. Amenities and service were great. Clean and eco friendly environment! Unfortunately, my husband got sick after our dinner. Can’t really say from what but he was ok prior. It put a damper in us enjoying other services. The plunge pool room was a great feature but too cold to take a dunk. Gives a jacuzzi effect without bubbles but no option to for a warmer temperature. Overall, would recommend for couples or solo trip.

Stayed at hotel copal it was an incredible stay. The staff were all beyond helpful and friendly, they upgraded our room free of charge. The room was beautiful and spacious, the balcony was a very peaceful area to enjoy breakfast or a drink. The rooftop pool was great to cool off in, very clean and beautiful room. Had delicious steak tacos at the restaurant. Could not have been better in any way. The hotel is located in a very convenient area close walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops in central Tulum. I would recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you!

The room was beautiful. I loved our private little pool. The hotel isn’t very convenient if you don’t have a car. Taxis can get very pricey without one. The shared hotel pool is very nice too. I would stay here again if I have a car rental to get to the hotel zone area.
