The lobby/suite/common areas were beautiful and clean. The staff was extraordinary. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The ONLY negative I have, and it’s a big one because I ALWAYS look for a pool (& hot hub when possible). A pool is a must have. We walked to the pool area to take a look and the pool was AWFUL! It was cloudy, not clear. It looked disgusting. And unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the pools.

The wallpaper was peeling in the bedroom, there were all kinds of smudges and hand smudges on the white doors to the bathroom. The toilet was crooked, and you could see the caulking outline from when it was straight. The parking was extremely limited, and only two handicap spots available, and being disabled , that was a major inconvenience. The hot tub was down, and the pools chlorine was so strong, it burned our eyes as the room doesn’t seem to be well venerated. We loved the breakfast, and the staff was wonderful, accommodating and pleasant. The bed was the best sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. I wish I could have kept a pillow. I loved them. The pull out couch was also not bad, but you had to make it yourself. I love the fact that the complimentary bath products provided were chemical free, dye free , and fragrance free. That stood out to me well. And the hot tea available for breakfast provided with milk and honey, chefs kiss. Overall, it was a great place to stay, just needs notice to a few areas. We stayed in room 715.

Excellent staff…can’t say enough about the hospitality! Hotel is getting some major Reno’s so the guest laundries and the pool wasn’t available. Outstanding location, I would return in a heartbeat.

They didnt have the jetted tub as listed, they did construction at like 7am and ruined the experience there. For the price ill probably never return was pretty disappointed to be woke up that way. You could hear the construction and saw/sanding or something bright and early.

The first room was not clean. There was dry urine around the toilet, there were dust balls everywhere and countertop was dusty. We were offered a new room and points for our inconvenience. The second room was better. The carpet had red stains all over it. But it was cleaner than the last room. At least the beds are comfortable. The hot tub is out of commission so please don’t book if you want that luxury. Also, the pool wasn’t as clean as it should be. There are broken chairs sitting at the bar table in pool area. Pool or room isn’t heated as well. The complimentary drinks at 5:30 was cool. Was advised that the hotel will be having renovations in the near future. Just not what I expected for a high end hotel in Tuscaloosa with the school and all.

We have stayed at this Embassy Suites several times, but the hotel is now in need of a lot of TLC. Our room wasn’t very clean & the shower didn’t drain properly. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Overall, hotel was dirty (floors, shower, etc). Room had two beds… one reeked like it had just been used by female with a hygiene problem. We asked for another room but were told there was nothing else available (parking lot was not even half full). Hotel manager sent housekeeping to change our sheets but smell remained. Housekeeping acknowledged smell and returned with Lysol but once again, smell remained. We intended to stay 3 days but checked out that morning. Management did not seem to care. I travel regularly and usually stay in Hilton hotels and can easily say this was the worst experience I’ve ever experienced with Hilton or Embassy Suites. Family trip we will all remember for the wrong reasons.

I've stayed here many times! I keep forgetting it's located on a busy 4-way intersection! I'm on the 7th floor in the front sideof the hotel and it's a little loud. I have 2 other guests on other floors on the back of the hotel and no complaints from them. Not a deal breaker by any means because the breakfast makes up for it! Fabulous made-to-order omelet! I love the location of this hotel because it's within walking distance of lots of fabulous places to eat!

The hotel itself is beautiful!! The front desk staff was kind, patient and polite. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the cook, working by himself was doing enough for 3 people and worked it with ease. I really enjoyed this hotel.

The property looked luxurious from the outside to the lobby. Our room was clean, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The ice machine outside of our room was very loud and you could hear it from our room.

When I checked out, the desk clerk could not give me a print out of my room charges. She said I need to get it from Expedia. I explained I paid for the room at the hotel, and that I had additional charges from the restaurant. She printed something that said $0 due , but could give me a breakdown of any charges or a receipt. She then picked up a call and started helping someone else. I never received a receipt. What kind of service is that!?

We stayed here for the 1st first to move our daughter into college. We travel a lot! The service and condition of our room was not worth $1800 for 3 nights! There was no response when we called housekeeping for more towels! The front desk wouldn’t answer either when we called for housekeeping! We will never stay here again!

Although I book with expedia, after checking in to go up to a dark hallway on their fifth floor. Walking into a room that I did not reserve. Booking a double queen bed suite, to be given a single king size bed studio. The guy at the front desk really was not trying to be accommodating until he seen me and my family were unhappy. It was until the guy whom was working housekeeping mention other rooms that was listed as dirty he would clean up for us to walk the room and notice that the room was actually clean. So they gave us a king bedroom suite. Trying to place 4 people into a king studio not so smart.

Cancelled my reservation in error when i already pre paid. Made me feel like i did something wrong. Finally made it right but very scary half hour when I didnt think my family was going to have a place to stay on a busy weekend with no rooms in town

Staff went over and beyond to accommodate our wishes. We needed adjoining rooms-we were traveling with our granddaughter and wanted her to have her own room. Admitting clerk spent extra time shuffling and worked it out so that we got the two adjoining rooms. We will stay here again and highly recommend.

We went to check in at 10:30pm after a day of travel and our room was not ready. We waited over an hour for housekeeping to clean a room for us. The front desk never kept us updated, I always had to go and ask for updates. We were not the only people waiting for a room either. The entire weekend we were there we never had our room refreshed or towels exchanged. Not sure if we’d stay there again.

This is our new favorite place to stay for games in Tuscaloosa. It’s only a mile away from the stadium, so it’s walkable or use Joyride golf cart services. Great amenities, quieter than places closer to the strip, and very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Bad option to stay. It is the most expensive hotel in the city and they offer it to you with breakfast and the restaurant is closed. The pool is without water according to maintenance and there is no room service. Bad place. Do not use it. Also, very expensive, just to sleep

I've stayed at this property in the past, and enjoyed everything about it. This time I need to coach you regarding breakfast: one morning the grits were cold, the next morning the pancakes were cold. Now!, I take an analysis of what was happening those mornings. The staff was doing the best that they could based on the staffing on hand. They were pulled in so many directions to keep up with the various demands. Even at this, it was a good stay.
