The Nayland Hotel

Good staff, easy to talk or to ask questions. The good surprise to have a breakfast offered by the management. Clean room. The free parking is a good thing for this city. The only problem was the noisy cuztomers of the other rooms

It was fine - I wasn’t expecting blankets and bedspreads but rather hoping for nice white duvets. It was clean and tidy and the room was cleaned for our return each day, clean towels, beds made etc. could look smarted with decor and carpet, but it was all fine really. Shame we have to get our cups of tea downstairs and bring to the room, that was odd and I wondered if it’s ok health and safety wise…boiling water. But it was fine, honestly. A good base. Comfy beds.

Couple <30 years old travelling to London for a couple of days. The hotel was great as it offered parking (although limited), which I called ahead to confirm the availability of. It was very well priced for being so close to the city centre and everywhere in London was easily accessible. The room was basic and small but that was no issue for us as we were out all day. Good hot water supply even in peak times such as morning. We did not have the breakfast as we did not think the selection was enough for us and we preferred to go elsewhere. We would absolutely stay again.

It was relatively quiet for London. The bed was comfortable and while the room was small, it had everything that I needed. I hound the staff friendly and helpful. Incredibly close to Paddington Station but I couldn't hear the trains. It's an easy walking distance from the station. There is parking but only two spaces, so I was very lucky to get one. It is outside the Congestion Zone but inside the ULEZ area. However, nearly all cars are ULEZ compliant, even my ancient 55-plate Micra is. If I stay there again, and I might well, I will seriously consider taking the train.

Great location - free parking was a bonus. Room (612) is very small - but apart from that very comfortable and clean. Liked the free coffee/tea station in reception foyer - ideal after a long day out in winter. Will definitely book again.

Hotel suited us for the location. Friendly staff. Small room which was noisy and could hear everyone in neighbouring rooms. This aside, our stay was pleasant. Breakfast is good value for a continental style. Small bar with good value drinks. Will definitely stay again.

The room was comfortable. Not much of a bar area to relax and have a drink in. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Excellent priced (on a Sunday) London hotel in very convenient position 5 minutes from Paddington. Basic room facilities, but staff helpful, and the little extras like free teas and coffees in reception (nothing in the rooms) and free breakfast (reasonable choice and freshly made by helpful staff) a bonus.

I am a solo business traveller and I stay in London for a few days a month. My room was spotless and the room excellent value for money given I wanted to be near a tube and have somewhere to get into central London quickly. I would stay here again.

Comfortable 1 night stay as a solo traveller. Room small but adequate and very clean, as was the reception area and breakfast room.

Good position in paddington nr to station and underground. Hotel clean and comfortable.

It was better than expected. The staff were kind and friendly and inconspicuous. The room was fine. It was small as you'd expect for the price. But everything worked and was clean. The toilet and shower were spotless. Breakfast was fine, though the room used was too small really.

The room is small, just about enough space for two people and their suitcases. Reasonable storage capacity including a safe. No kettle although hot drinks are freely available from the reception area. The bathroom is impressively small. Everything worked well, including the hot water and shower, which isn\'t always a given. Nayland does get the most important thing right: the bed is wonderful, incredibly comfortable,the four nights of sleep were among the most peaceful I\'ve had. That\'s despite the broken window allowing a cold draft at the head of the bed, which may be a "feature" exclusive to our ro Breakfast is included if you\'re willing to eat cereal and makeshift ham and cheese toasties while picking away at hard boiled eggshells in an overcrowded. dining area: a combination of a small room and the the limited hours of 7am to 9am. Not exactly fine dining; as a courtesy breakfast it\'s the definition of bare minimum. But it is included! The cleaning/kitchen staff are delightful and friendly. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the reception staff who are cold, unhelpful and distant. They basically ignored my query about WiFi not working outside of the lobby, which appears to be a frequent complaint. Overall a fairly poor experience, the sleep quality is top notch, the room adequate. Everything else needs some work.

My main beef was the street noise. The original? (certainly old) windows did little to soften it. That aside, for its location, price and proximity to many food options and transportation (Paddington Stn) I feel it was excellent value.

Average room. No air conditioning. Right next to a stair case so lots of noise and footsteps all night making it hard to sleep. Pillows were flat. Overall, an ok room if you need a cheap quick place to sleep.

It was just enough space for the two of us, since all we did it rest and sleep while spending all day out and about. The only downpart is that it can be quite noisy (not even outside necessarily, but the creaks of stepping around the room and closing/opening doors, very thin walls), I personally had no problem with it but our neighbour came to complain about the sound of us simply going to bed, so I imagine for other people it can be disturbing to their rest. Other than that super clean and very central!

Small property, friendly staff, no a/c, just Tootbus stop around the corner, very close to the undergroud. Many restaurants and souvenir shops around.

The location was really good. The size and noisy of the room placed on lower ground level close to the boiler and the elevator makes a noisy one.

A comfortable one night stay that suited our needs. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

TV was set to Italian so could not understand a word and could not set it back to English, as I have no Italian knowledge. I asked front desk for help, but was ignored !

Location was great and the customer service was the best!

Someone from the staff opened the door to our hotel room in the night while we were sleeping without saying anything or apologizing. Made us feeling unsecure and check out one day earlier than planned.

Location was perfect! The staff was really nice and let us leave our luggage before check in. The hotel was a bit updated, but good enough for one night. Very quiet, has a great night of sleep!

We had a great stay. We were able to check in a bit early, which was great with kids. The day we checked out we were able to leave our bags while we explored for a while. This is our second time staying here and it has been a great experience both times. The staff is so friendly and they take care of the patrons.

10 minute walk from paddington station, restaurants nearby, hospital and pharmacy within 5 minutes, and M&S about 15 minutes away. Close to multiple stations. Rooms are small, but i spent a lot of time out and about so this was a nice clean place to come home to sleep to at night. Felt safe even walking in the neighbourhood at night. Overall great price for what you get and location. I was one person in a room with two twin beds and this was perfect.

This hotel was in a great location. It was walking distance to Paddington station, Hyde Park and Kensington Palace and lots of pubs and shops. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were what I expected, small clean everything we needed but no extras. We had a great stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Close to Paddington Station. Very easy to "tube" to other parts of London. Excellent breakfast included in our room (# 610) . Silent room in souterrain . To be recommended. adriaan. December 2024.
