There is a cafe on site but states it has nothing to do with the hotel. was not open while we were there. Had to find a local place to eat as we arrived later than planned. There are 2 steep steps to the front door to reach the intercom system to check in . This was tricky with cases. Manager was not there in person but was very clear on the intercom as to how to get to the room and also booked a taxi in the morning.

No one was at front desk the 4 days we stayed here. Had to page someone to be left in to check in. The room was extremely hot, outdated and basic. No way to control the heat. Was in a great location close to shopping and dinning with underground parking 50 m down the block.

Location was great for shopping & restaurant and is near free parking zones. Room was very small and mostly clean. However, the shower was integrated into the very small bathroom with only a shower head and curtain to separate from the rest of the bathroom. After every shower the bathroom floor was very wet. A squeegee was provided to mop the floor but it was covered in mold. No bath mats or wash cloths were provided. No soap was provided; only hand soap at the sink. There were no shelf’s for storage of toiletries in the bathroom. The front desk staff was non existent. We had to have a maid help us get a cab.

The location is fantastic. Across the street from a major bus stop (Hop On Hop Off, Flybus and tours. Lots of stors and restaurants nearby. Convenient store nearby that serves coffee and other hot items. The room was OK but when I asked about the laundry facilities, I was told that there was only a washer and it would be close to $50 CAD to dona wash. The availability of a washer/dryer should be removed from the description.

Located on Laugavegur/Snorrabraut, which can be noisy, but also within walking distance from city center and 50m from shuttle stop. Small 24/7 store close by. Note that hotel reception if unmanned so you need ring the bell when arriving. Hotel has no proper lobby, but can store your loggage until your room is ready.

I arrived early (7:25am) off of a cruise, the door was locked, the lobby dark. I rang the buzzer to no avail. A guest came out about 10 minutes later for a smoke, he let me in to wait. Another family arrived and I let them in. The desk person arrived at 9:10, so beware the desk or availability is not 24 hour. Desk people were pleasant and helpful. There is a small space for luggage storage prior to check in. The location is excellant. Bus stop is just across the street with access to hop on hop off as well. Hotel is located on main shopping street and many eateries and activities within walking distance. My roon was double bed with private bath. The room was clean, bath small, fresh linens. The bed, for me, was uncomfortable, very flat and hard. Make sure you have a EU converter for electrical access. No food service. It was adequate for 1 night post cruise and shuttle pick up early to airport.

The staff is very nice and helpful. If the staff is not around it is easy to call them from the front door. The hotel is in a prime location. Issue here is the hotel is dirty. The bathrooms need a real proper cleaning, especially the floor and walls. The windows of the room need a wash and dust needs to be cleaned as well. The hotel is old but if it were cleaned well this could be a very comfortable stay for families, otherwise it is not suitable for families or young couples, just for university kids who care less about hygiene. As other people commented, it does get loud at night. I am a light sleeper, but we did so much during the day that I was able to sleep without issues. Despite the loud people walking by, shouting and what not.

Had to wait outside in the rain for 5 minutes waiting for someone to open the door for check-in (this was about 5pm so not an unusual time to arrive!). Hotel is in a good location and the Flybys shuttle from the airport stops very close to the Hotel.

Stayed at 100 Iceland hotel in July. We took an overnight flight so arrived at the hotel around noon. They were able to accommodate us for early check-in which was greatly appreciated since we had a really rough flight. Room is clean. Beds comfortable and reasonably priced. That's all we really wanted for 1 night pre-cruise. The gentleman at reception was very helpful, polite and efficient. Would recommend to stay at 100 Iceland Hotel.

The property is very centrally located but it was extremely run down and dirty. The mattress was terrible and the sheets were threadbare. The walls were dirty in the bathroom and had chipped paint on windows and walls.

Went with a group of 7. All our rooms were small and hot. One room had an extremely hard mattress which almost felt like laying on a boxspring and not a mattress. We also had a very, very tiny shower in our bathroom which flooded the floor everytime we used it. The floor in our room was all warped from water as well. Our friend's room across the hall had masking tape on the wall which was painted over as well as mold on the wall that was also painted over. My other friends room had water damage & stains on the wall/ceiling that got worse the next day. The towels were very small and thin. Would not recommend.

Völlig überteuert (rund 190 € für ein Mini-Zimmer), Duschvorhang eine Zumutung. Zimmerbild, mit dem geworben wird, entsprach in keinster Weise der Realität. Renovierungsstau war offensichtlich. Einziger Vorteil: ich kam nachts um 3 Uhr noch an mein Zimmer (Flieger war erst nach Mitternacht gelandet; vom Flughafen in die Stadt brauchts dann auch nochmal über 2 Std.).

The staff was extremely accommodating in that we called to let them know that the roads and weather were going to make us arrive very late, as in roughly 1 AM. They left a key where we could easily access it so that we didn’t have to do a proper check-in, which was very much appreciated. However, the bathroom, smelt strongly of urine. Both of the beds that we had were lumpy and VERY uncomfortable, and both creaked/popped which you could both feel and hear every time you turned over. Additionally, the noise from the street was very loud as there’s only one pane windows, so being so close to the street it was very noisy. Aside from speaking on the phone to make arrangements for getting into our rooms late at night, at no point did we ever see the staff even in the morning when we went to check out. A different guest saw us looking for staff, and told us that she had overheard the staff telling somebody else just to leave the key on the desk, and not worry about checking out.

Nice room for 2 just to rest for few hrs and shower. However, not good for overnight stay due to bad location. We couldn’t sleep as street was busy all night. Constantly disturbed by road noise. Close by 24 x 7 store. Also road construction noise .Keep this place busy don’t recommend for overnight stay.

Don’t waist your time and money!!! I have stayed here before but all has changed, no one is ever at the front desk, it took 2 hours of waiting in the lobby to check in. No employees were there at the property!!! A lot advertised is not there anymore, like breakfast and lobby hours!! The room was not what I purchased, it was tiny for 3 adults!! The worst hotel experience in all my travels around the world. Lots of better options out there!!

Before we left Canada the hotel asked us at what time our flight arrived and our expected arrival time to the hotel. We told them our flight landed at 0600 and that we would be at the hotel at 0800. We arrived at 0800 from airport and rang buzzer. No staff. Another guest let us into lobby. Got email from hotel that someone would arrive after 0900. Had to wait in cold dark lobby until someone arrived. She berated us for arriving before 3pm check in but allowed us to store our luggage until we could check in. After wandering the cold rainy and windy streets for 3 hours she let us check in. Do Not book this hotel unless your flight arrives in the afternoon. There is no coffee or any type of amenities in here. At best a 1 star property.

I arrived early (7:25am) off of a cruise, the door was locked, the lobby dark. I rang the buzzer to no avail. A guest came out about 10 minutes later for a smoke, he let me in to wait. There is a small space for luggage storage prior to check in. The location is excellant. Bus stop is just across the street with access to hop on hop off as well. The bed, for me, was uncomfortable, very flat and hard. Make sure you have a EU converter for electrical access. No food service. Perfect location for someone traveling solo. Conveniently located to dining and shopping. Very walkable to anywhere no need for car rental or public transportation. I booked my tours thru Viator and my pickup location was feet's away!

Note that hotel reception if unmanned so you need ring the bell when arriving. Hotel has no proper lobby, but can store your loggage until your room is ready.

The picture is not close to what we stayed in. There was NO place to place suite cases except to step over them. A small chair at a shelf as a desk, coffee maker cups and glasses, NO coffee or tea. Closet was 18 inches by 18 inches no shelves. Bath NO towel bars small shelf behind toilet sink very small. The only time we saw ANY STAFF was when we checked in! NO ONE ONSITE when we checked out not able to get a copy of bill. The mattress was in great need of replacement, We did recieve clean towels each day.

There is a cafe on site but states it has nothing to do with the hotel. was not open while we were there. Had to find a local place to eat as we arrived later than planned. There are 2 steep steps to the front door to reach the intercom system to check in . This was tricky with cases. Manager was not there in person but was very clear on the intercom as to how to get to the room and also booked a taxi in the morning.

I picked this hotel because it wasn’t a good location and the cheapest I could find that wasn’t a hostile. Walking distance to all the sites a block from the grocery store a block from the food court a block from the airport bus. The hotel is very small and old. There was mold in my shower and they told me that it hadn’t been renovated, but really I feel that a good cleaning would have been sufficient. I saw a spider in my room which didn’t bother me too much the room is on the small side, but it was just one person. It might’ve been a bit tight for two people. Hótel.com charge me for the room and the hotel charge me for the room. I asked the hotel for a refund. They said they would do it, but they never did so I had to dispute the duplicate charge with my credit card.

Absolutely disappointing! Basic Basic Basic Especially for the price. The mattresses are so old they actually are springs. Pillow was practically the smallest I've ever seen. The bathroom did not have a toilet tissue dispenser just a roll of toilet paper on a shelf. Housekeeping took our towels in the morning and never returned them, luckily enough the gentleman who checked us in, who was absolutely wonderful, had to come to the property and get us towels. Because the front desk is NOT MANNED. If it wasn't for the easy check in I would have given this property a one star.
