I enjoyed the stay but £486 for one night with no breakfast is really steep Over double the price of a stay 7 days later. I understand that the price will be more due to the Luke Combs concert but this is not acceptable and I won’t stay in Mercure again.

Its a good hotel because the staff make it so. Thanks to everyone at the breakfast staff and reception for their warm welcome. The breakfast staff are helpful and accomodating. A couple of issues because the fridge / mini bar is barely keeping things cold. The duvet cover was smaller than the duvet which is not nice at all. The housekeeping didn't hoover once during our three night stay. I would say its a 3 star at best.

Stayed 1 night

Stayed for a night at Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket on the hottest day of June 2026! It’s a very nice, welcoming hotel situated around 10 mins walk away from Haymarket train station. The entrance was very nice, air conditioning was on which gave a very nice feeling on such a hot day. But the most amazing thing was how I was welcomed by Sonia at the reception. Lovely lady with a warm welcome and smile on her face. She checked me in very quickly and gave me the room key. Also informed me about the breakfast timing and option and that someone will be available at the reception 24 hours if I needed anything. I had booked a privilege room on 4th floor. The lobby and so nice and clean with beautiful carpet. There are two lifts and came very quickly. The room was very nice. The air conditioner was on which again gave a great feeling. Room had the coffee machine and kettle. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Iron with ironing board was also in the room along with hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. There were juices and fizzy drinks in the fridge in the room also free to use. I believe these things are only provided in the privilege room. Toilet was exceptionally clean. The shower was amazing. It had such a good pressure and hot water came very quickly also. Used the gym in the hotel also. It was small but sufficient. Had a good amount of dumbbells. The AC wasn’t working as it had some kind of an error. Water dispenser and there were towels available as well to use.
