The Collins Inn and Seaside Cottages

New Year’s Eve by the ocean was wonderful getaway with welcoming inn. All the comforts plus many extras nice walk path to beach or grill.

Hotels.com app check in messaging function needs rework. Host fixed after hours check-in and was very gracious. The Inn has a very nice upstairs room with exceptional lounge on the main floor. Hard to describe the very warm friendly ambiance throughout.

Only bad thing was leakage from another room made our extinguisher go off and chirp all night and we couldn’t reach it to just unscrew for noise. Other than that very nice Better to say this is off of Marina Drive as it was easier to find than with the street address

This property was adorable. Inside we did find an old cat food tray under the recliner that was missed during cleaning but everything else cottage was and cleanliness outside was amazing. Challenge for us was parking at out cottage. Get too many vehicles in there that may be trucks and there is a problem. Not much room at all to maneuver and we had to park out by the office. Would have been a bit frustrating in the rain and if someone had to do more trips to the vehicle.

This place is marvelous. Clean. Great parking. Well stocked with everything you need to cook fantastic meals. The decor is fabulous. We can not wait to stay again.

We had a cottage with full kitchen, utensils, washer/dryer, TV with streaming services. Quick walk to Damon Point State Park, public beach entry, Oyhut Natural Recreation Area. Within 15 minute drive to the town. Laid back, quiet place. Not ocean side but can hear the waves. It can get warm, no AC, living room windows do not open. Wifi is adequate but not super fast. Although well maintained, there are a few nicks, scratches, holes in the walls. Walls are thin. No restaurants, shops within walking distance but a nice pub is nearby. No recycling or composting.

Beautiful home. Great amenities and service. Comfy bed and nice linens. Great continental breakfast. Coffee, balcony. 2 drawbacks… no generator (the power went out) and was out one entire night of our 2 night stay. So no hot water for the jacuzzi tub or hot shower and no fireplace usage. The next morning, went to take a nice hot shower and the shower was broken?!😠 We are understanding of a coastal storm, but the next morning the shower was broken and we could not get it to work. Please invest in a generator and fix the shower.

I think that my stay would have been better had I researched better to find out that it was more of a bed and breakfast kind of set up. That was a surprise to walk into and felt like I had to be almost silent while while even just speaking to my husband after 6Pm as that is when the doors to the house all locked and there was nobody anywhere to be seen. The jacuzzi tub which was the main selling point, turned off at 10pm all on its own and we didnt get to use it again. All and all if this is the type of place you are looking for, It would be great

Beautiful main house and the cottage we stayed in (#5) was quiet, clean and a plate of freshly baked cookies was waiting us after we checked in. I'll be back!!

The cabin was very cute and comfortable. Had good amenities. It was very quiet and pretty private feeling. The chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch as well. My only complaint would be the hair and some debris on the floor especially the bathroom. Wasn't terrible though. Overall a very nice experience. Would definitely come back!

It was very quiet and very clean. It’s a bed and breakfast style. No issues very close to the beach.

We arrived staff was nice, lovely people that ran it, the place had an Oder yet we aired it out for a bit it was fine then, we did have to wipe the kitchen down and the floors and one chair were very dirty we swept it up and wiped it down no worries we are always willing to help yet the price was a bit spendy for over night especially with the condition we found the place. We have several pictures but I feel it’s not necessarily far to shame a place that is just trying to make a living.

The Wine Room was amazing. It is spacious and convenient. The entire property was clean and well maintained. The staff was outstanding! Would DEFINITELY recommend!

The first morning of our 3 night stay the kitchen sinks had bugs in them a few living a few dead. The second morning there were fewer but not great. The nightstand drawers were not assembled correctly and one side kept pulling out. On the middle drawer the connector piece was missing. The closet door was off on the right side. Cabin 5 looks nothing like the photos. Not bad furnishings, just very modern.

We were warmly greeted, our accommodations were excellent. Everything we could think of was right at our fingertips. Cleanliness was outstanding! The suite was absolutely charming. We have been coming to Ocean Shores since 1995 and this is by far the best hotel in town, then and now! We will be back!

Really good experience. Internet is very spotty if you need to work while here, be warned. All cabins and main lodge with same internet. Kicked off a lot! Nice location and great overall, VERY happy.

This little Inn exceeded our expectations! It sits along the shore and is as unique on the outside as it is on the inside. It’s really a beautiful curated home with a decor that takes your breath away. We stayed in the Wine room and enjoyed the comfortable bed, huge bath and shower, and little kitchenette area full of treats for the stay and your morning coffee before getting back on the road.

The room was nice but it felt more like a B&B since I could hear people talking downstairs.

A lovely property in a wonderful location if you want quiet. Room really comfortable. We only had a short stay but we will use again. Nitpicky issues for us=it took a really long time to get hot water in our 2nd story room,fridge kindof noisy, and the mattress pretty soft. But, again we will go back for longer stay.

Everything about this stay was amazing except the noise. The room was perfect, I loved the soaker tub after a long day of riding. But late into the night and early in the am the other guests were very loud, both in their rooms and in the common areas. If that was sorted out it would have been the best place I stayed in 9 days exploring the coast.

The property was nice. The hosts were very friendly. Shower was really nice :) The only issue problem we experienced was the room was very close in proximity to other guest rooms and unfortunately, our roommates were very loud and drunk coming home. There was a couple fighting loudly well into 3 Am and then the other couple staying decided to yell at the fight couple screaming "Shut the F UP" several times. It was not the nice quiet evening we were imagining unfortunately.

One bed was awful. One bed good. TV didn’t work. Rest was all good.

The better half and I just got off a huge work project and with about a hour of research, we decided to go to the Collins Inn after researching on Expedia. First time staying at an Inn/AirBNB type place. At first, it felt strange to let ourselves into this big beautiful house and to be the only ones there. But the better half grew up going to Inns and Bed and Breakfast type places and she was all in. NICE. That is the main word I would use to sum up The Collins. Especially with how well they took care of us for our anniversary. Every little detail was thought out and taken care of. The lady who was working there while we were there could not have been better. Super nice and attentive. WE LOVED THE COLLINS. I have been going to Ocean Shores my entire life but always stayed on the main hotel strip. The Collins is on the backside of Ocean Shores and very secluded from the tourist-y parts of the town. The house is gorgeous. A huge house with so many different things in it to do right across the street from the beach. The Collins has that beautiful, awesome Ocean Shores beach aesthetic while also being a very upscale, beautiful inn. My favorite thing about The Collins [aside from the hot tub] is just how well thought out everything is. From the all day snacks and breakfast. To every little touch they add. The people who created and run The Collins are obviously big fans of this type of Inn and really worked hard to create their ultimate image of it.

Ot was about 45 degrees INSIDE the cottage when we got there. Very small baseboard heater in bedroom did not work. Only heat source for entire cottage was an equally small baseboard heater in the living area and a space heater in the livingroom. It was so cold we had to wear our heavy winter coats plus put a bkanket over us to keep warm. Still waiting for our promised refund. Ridiculous to rent this out without adequate heat.

This property was so cute and perfect for a night getaway. The staff made us feel welcome and checkin/checkout was a breeze. We even had a rather impressive continental breakfast that we weren’t expecting. There was nice beach access within a walkable distance and even though you’re 10 minutes from the main area of Ocean Shores it is easy to get to and nice and quiet. We’ll definitely book again!

Owner is very friendly. Reservations were made online so literally had to walk in amd be directed to our room. Place is very clean and quiet with a lovely atmosphere. Would stay here again!

I loved the peaceful feeling of the property. My husband and I needed to just get away for a few days from the stress of life and this was the perfect place. Due to our hot tub not working the first night, the staff was pretty good about taking care of it quickly

Comfortable, great amenities ocean view, the sound of waves crashing on the beach enjoyed from the comfort of our beautiful room. The owners were a delightful kind congenital couple, the nicest place I’ve stayed in all the years of going to Ocean Shores.

The cottage was spacious, well furnished, very cozy and comfortable. It is located with a beautiful view of the ocean and really easy walking distance. The kitchen had everything that you would need for food preparation. I will most certainly go back and highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun, family place to stay by the Washington coast.

The owner's were amazing. The room was beautiful. Quick 3 minute walk to the ocean. Its about a 10 minute drive into town which we didnt mind. I would definitely stay here again and we will next time we visit.

The check-in and process was super easy! We stayed in cabin #4 which was perfect- it had everything you needed and then some! The chocolate chip cookies were yummy too. If we make it back to Ocean Shores, the Collins Inn will definitely be where we will be staying!

It was very nice! It’s like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. The other review was correct it’s not really a continental breakfast. There was a microwaveable breakfast burrito in the fridge. In the hall there was bananas, oranges, oatmeal, granola bar, and packaged muffin tops. I was expecting eggs or something. The room was very nice and clean. Quiet experience which is what we were looking for. It was in a nice quiet part of town. The room was a bit cramped with how much is in the room. I couldn’t stream, so we were stuck with cable that had nothing on really. WiFi didn’t work well but wasn’t a big deal to us. Overall it was very nice and would come here again.
