I found this Microtel because I was traveling with my dog. The whole experience was easy and hassle free. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and they had a yard area just for the dogs! It was perfect, and I will definitely stay again!

The rooms are nice, bathrooms are simple but pleasant. Beds are comfortable as well. At check in I was a little confused because my card was immediately authorized and I wasn’t asked if it was the correct card.? The complimentary breakfast is a continental type. Not very many hot options, but 2 waffle makers available. The pool was cold I would guess around 45’ degrees maybe 50’, the pool also could use a cleaning and the filter system never came on. It was enjoyable after having a splash war though. The view is pleasant as well. All the people we have encountered here are very open to conversation and friendly. That’s a rare find these days. All in all it was a very nice getaway for the weekend.

The room was good and comfortable. My pets were allowed and did not cost too much. Loved the availability of laundry. The only thing that I would say is the breakfast. Everything was over cooked prepackaged food. Biscuits were hard and watch the lady pour eggs from a bag. It would still stay here again.

This is an ok hotel. Staff was pleasant at check-in. Pool was closed (without notification except at check-in). Room was nice and big. Bathroom was small. Asked for a room away from elevator/ maintenance room and we were placed directly next to it, and one room away from elevator. Staff was slamming the door at 6am, waking up us with our small children. We won’t be coming back here unless it’s the only option.

Fantastic Staff and Parking. Totally agree that if you are going on a honeymoon trip then stay at This Hotel You wont be Disappointed cause my Wife and I Went here for our honeymoon for 4 days and it was fantastic.

There was a small blood stain on the mattress (not sheets) but they credited me $77. I think it could have been more since we paid almost $250 a night but I am grateful for their fast response. Besides that, no other issues.

Service was friendly and accommodating. Only one "issue" during my stay. When I arrived, it appeared that the sheets had not been changed (yikes!). When I spoke to the front desk, management attended to the problem (new bedding) right away.

The staff was wonderful on our stay. The breakfast was limited, and we found bed bugs in our room. Staff offered partial refund, and the gentleman working was very apologetic. I understand it absolutely can happen anywhere.

The property is clean and easy to access. It is basic, nothing special for a weekend stay. It was disappointing having guests next door smoking in a non-smoking suite. They were also very loud and slammed doors, you can hear everything the neighbors do. Not ideal for families trying to keep kids asleep and smoke-free.

I stayed there for 3 nights, first day there was no room service, 2nd day I asked the cleaning guy that my room needed room service. But when I came back everything found still no room service . I asked front desk , was told because it’s Friday . They were busy ..??!! Anyway . Hotel is clean , it’s the only thing I think is good . But this hotel is very very simple one . Poor breakfast . For the money I paid I was Very disappointed. Will not come back .

Just too many issues for the one single night (really a few hours total) spent at the hotel. Started with a dirty room and bathroom with three whole pillows, absolute bare minimum breakfast available and not a drop of coffee the entire time we attempted to make breakfast work. Tried to take our kids to the pool, found the water filmy (you could see how gross it was through the door) and our key card wouldn't even open the door well after opening time. Inquired with whoever was behind the desk just to be told they had to put "some 15 minute solution in it"? So you waited until after opening to realize the pool was too gross to put your guests in and then you don't even have an adequate response? We won't be back and we're in the area often.

The location to the highway, shopping, dining and my family as well as good reviews on cleanliness was why I chose Microtel. It was quite noising and not sure if it was because we were in the 2nd floor or the hotel walls are thin but I did not sleep week due to being woken frequently during the night.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hours for the pool, breakfast, and checkout were explained very clear and written down on our room key pamphlet. Room was very clean. We stay at this hotel about 3 times a year and never have a single thought about staying anywhere else!

Dusty fixed our 2-room reservation before we even checked in. He saw that our rooms were not near each other and put us right across from our teens. Always an excellent experience when staying there. Housekeeping very friendly. Great amenities. Best place to stay in Altoona.

Breakfast was not much. Waffle maker timer didn’t work first morning, but second morning it did. Waffle batter too thin first day too thick second day. Orange juice was in a little cup with foil lid couldn’t pull it open. Rooms were very clean and towels were very nice and plentiful. I would stay again but go out to breakfast.

Room was clean, bed super comfortable but breakfast was awful. I was so disappointed to find they offered expired food: all biscuits were hard and stale and I found MOLD in the bagels. Please if you are feeding your guest such a simple freakfast, at least keep food fresh and don’t save yourself pennies at the expense of people’s health. This is very easy to fix otherwise this is a great hotel to stay.

Fantastic breakfast! Room needs a nice comfortable chair. (had to sit on bed) outlet near mirror was very old and used. A plug would no longer stay in it. Without it, life was very inconvenient.

Very clean, staff very nice and helpful. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the breakfast was less than expected - only hardboiled eggs, yogurt and waffles. No breads or bagels to toast, no scrambled eggs or bacon...I had stayed at a Hampton Inn the night before and they had all that so that's what I was expecting here. (Yes this was a little less expensive so maybe that's why.)
