The host was so friendly and helpful. Check in and out was very fast. I felt safe leaving my car. They let me leave my bag at the front desk on the last day of the conference. The room is very nice, with fridge and microwave. There is a nice courtyard. No elevators, but that was fine for me.

I highly recommend this place. The room and bathroom are very spacious. Everything smells nice and clean (linens, towels, bed). Free parking is a plus. No free breakfast but there are a lot of nearby coffee shops and restaurant. The owner is very hands on and accomodating.

As always it was an excellent stay. It is the only place I will stay when we visit San Jose. The only downside is the parking lot and stalls are a bit small.

Everything was fine except the parking. A limited number of narrow spaces made the 7 drivers who took up 2 spaces that much worse. Management did not seem to care.

Very quiet on the third floor, the bed felt kind of like a memory foam mattress not stiff like other hotels. The only complaint i have is the entrance to the parking lot dips really low so if you drive a low or lowered vehicle you will scrap even if you enter or leave at an angle.

We were here for the jazz festival and the hotel was walking distance to the festival. Nick was very welcoming and let us check in early for a fee with the extra bonus of free parking for both days. The room hotel was clean and updated in a quiet area. Microwave and refrigerator, no coffee or tea and no ice machines, but Nick gave us a bag of ice. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was noisy and it gets pretty hot in San Jose.

My stay here was nothing short of my expectations from A to Z. Owner is friendly. Cleanliness is excellent. Once entered into the parking lot, there is a zen feeling that overcome my busy life. Even within a busy downtown walls, I felt relax and rejuvenated. I definitely come back and recommend this place!

Clean, newly-furnished rooms. Bathroom amenities work perfectly. Staff was very polite and helpful, especially with services like holding luggage. Great location from Convention Center and downtown SJ (walkable in 5-10 mins and right by coffeeshop). Perfect stay for convention goers.

The room was incredibly clean with ample seating, a desk, lots of storage space, and a good-sized TV. Large bed, affordable price. Host was incredibly friendly despite having recently gone through a personal tragedy. I was pleasantly surprised to see that a microwave and fridge were provided, too! Combo bath-shower with a curtain, very clean with good water pressure, easy-to-use knobs. This is a steal at the given price point. And the proximity to Academic Coffee is *chef's kiss*

I loved our stay at the Convention Center Inn and Suites. Check in was simple and I was checked in by the owner or manager of the hotel. He was super friendly and helpful in suggesting a place for dinner. The moment we walked in our room we were amazed at how clean,fresh and large the space was. Things I loved were the shutters on the windows and unlike most hotels these days the fan ran continuously through the night instead of shutting off and on waking me up every 20 minutes. This was a game changer for my sleep quality. The bed was firm but comfortable. In the morning the manager offered service to our room and gave us fresh towels. He was also very quick with a smile and a few jokes. I will be back for sure. Thank you for such a great stay!

For a "motel" this was wonderful. The hotels I usually stay in were exceedingly expensive and so I chose this cheaper option. The room was very nice, recently remodeled and the bed was great. I wouldn't hesitate to say there again. The rooms opened up to an interior courtyard of other rooms. It didn't open up to a parking lot like traditional motels. This was greatly preferred for noise and aesthetic reasons.

Beds were comfortable, pillows weren't too fluffy which was great. Room was spacious and clean. Shower pressure was good and toilet flushed well. The owner was pleasant to interact with as he checked in with us when we walked by the lobby and asked how our stay was going (you don't get this many places!). Stayed here to be close to SJSU and am glad I did. Highly recommend staying here !

This is a renovated older facility. They did an excellent job of refurbishing the rooms. Clean, modern and comfortable. Our room had a sitting area with a small TV and there was a larger TV in the main bed area. The manager (perhaps also owner?) was super nice and always had a friendly greeting for us. It’s not a luxurious place but it is quite comfortable. It is a three story place with no elevator so keep that in mind.

The rooms are very spacious and well kept. When I take a shower, the water is hot immediately, and stays hot much longer than my at-home shower. The mattress is very nice, and I had such an easy time sleeping I had dreams every night. The location is wonderful too, in walking distance of the convention center, mini-marts, and restaurants and food trucks. I traveled from out of state, but i never needed to get a ride anywhere except back to the airport at the end of my stay. I give full marks to the establishment.

Guy here runs this hotel like a camp. You’re constantly watched and there’s cameras everywhere I’m pretty sure to make sure everyone “plays nice”. If you enjoy being stalked, not being able to bring visitors to your room, or not making any noise after 9 book this place asap. Also, try not to go breaking any rules or he will yell at you like your dad when you do something wrong. Owner can take a few classes in how to be professional to people and not threatening to kick them out either. Skip this place and pay the extra 20-30 a night elsewhere.

Nick was a great host! I asked where I could buy an umbrella near for my wife and he let me borrow one during our stay. He went and left the umbrella in our room. Next morning he greeted us and asked about our stay before leaving. Great place to stay over all.

Was checked in with such an amazing service! Nick is such an AMAZINGGG human being. Made us feel super welcomed and made us feel super safe/ cared for. Never had such an amazing/wonderful check in & out experience in my 26 years of lifee. His dog was such a cutie too!! The room was super roomy and nice. I would definitely book again!! Thank you!

Definitely is not a hotel to have a privacy! The staff literally are watching what are you doing! I had to sign out a ten o’clock that evening because the front desk! Doesn’t let my guests to get in to room! And he describe who was the person that visited me early and how long he was with me!

Great Fri, Sat stay here in SJ. The manager, NICK, kindly let us park before check-in, so we could walk to the Tech Museum. Then he let us check in a bit early and was very attentive to our needs. Centrally located to Concert event and great restaurants. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a NICE, reasonably price stay in downtown San Jose.

The person that checked me in etc. was really wonderful, really added that extra bit to make my stay super easy and comfortable. I ride a bike to the train and stay in San Jose for work periodically and as soon as I got into the lobby he immediately offered to keep my bike inside the locked lobby. Apparently this isn't an odd request for them and they are happy to do this. That is huge for anybody who travels by bike, keeping your bike safe is always a huge concern but not here. I will definitely be coming back here regularly when I need to work in San Jose for multiple days.

Good location steps away from the SJ Convention Center. Friendly welcome at reception, the bed was super comfortable and the room amenities were great. The whole place is super clean. Can't beat it for the price. Good coffee shop next door too. I'll be back!
Good location steps away from the SJ Convention Center. Friendly welcome at reception, the bed was super comfortable and the room amenities were great. The whole place is super clean. Can't beat it for the price. Good coffee shop next door too. I'll be back!

If you\'re looking for an affordable place to stay within walking distance of the convention center and the San Jose downtown area this is it. This is a no frills property and the building is a bit dated. Think of a Best Western type of property. However, the owner couldn\'t be more professional or helpful. The property is kept very clean and is very quite. In fact they have a "quite period" policy after 9:00 pm. The beds are comfortable and the showers are better than most hotels. The one minor downside (but not for me personally) is that the neighborhood has some closed businesses and is just outside on the main downtown areas. Although there are some buildings that are a bit run down I would not classify the neighborhood as unsafe in any way. I\'ve stayed here two years in a row to attend a conference at the convention center and will stay here again next year. I highly recommend it for anyone who isn\'t on an expense account and has to pay their own way.

Likes: staff is kind and forthcoming with information and help, pricing, easy walk to the convention center, room was clean and everything was in good repair, updated bathroom. Cons: potentially unsafe area in the evenings, (this is the perspective of a single woman traveling alone,) heavy smell in the room, (not "bad," but strong,) no coffee maker. In all: this is a convenient, well-priced, clean room that worked perfectly for my needs of sleeping and getting to full workdays. Take into consideration your comfort if you are sensitive to smells, or plan on spending time in the room itself during your visit. I would have liked an additional lock/chain on the door, as it is open to the courtyard.

This was a clean and affordable stay, in walking distance to SJSU. I appreciated that they offered free parking and that we could walk just about everywhere we needed to go. It had a homey vibe, and the owner was very kind and attentive. The area is a little run down, but I never felt unsafe.

This was a great value for downtown San Jose, with parking included. It’s next door to a great coffee place, an easy walk to good restaurants, a block away from nightlife and easy access to the freeway and airport. I would definitely stay here again.

We were there to celebrate my daughter’s academic ceremony at SJSU . We stayed for two nights , the place very clean and updated. It is walking distance to my daughter’s place and campus which made it very safe and convenient. Parking lot and area clean and safe . Plenty of places to eat downtown and coffee place close by . Uber was quick and safe . We definitely will be staying there in May for my daughter’s graduation .

The host was so friendly and helpful. Check in and out was very fast. I felt safe leaving my car. They let me leave my bag at the front desk on the last day of the conference. The room is very nice, with fridge and microwave. There is a nice courtyard. No elevators, but that was fine for me.

The hotel is great and very reasonable. They don't have coffee or breakfast but there's a little shop right next door that does. It's walking distance from a bunch of places, entertainment food etc. I will definitely stay here from now on when I go to San Jose

I highly recommend this place. The room and bathroom are very spacious. Everything smells nice and clean (linens, towels, bed). Free parking is a plus. No free breakfast but there are a lot of nearby coffee shops and restaurant. The owner is very hands on and accomodating.

We were here for the jazz festival and the hotel was walking distance to the festival. Nick was very welcoming and let us check in early for a fee with the extra bonus of free parking for both days. The room hotel was clean and updated in a quiet area. Microwave and refrigerator, no coffee or tea and no ice machines, but Nick gave us a bag of ice. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was noisy and it gets pretty hot in San Jose.

We were so impressed with all aspects of our stay. The property itself was exceptionally well maintained and the common spaces are clean and nicely decorated. The owner/manager was friendly and takes great care of guests and is visible and at the ready. Our room was spacious, well appointed and clean. We came for a 2-night music festival held at the convention center and it was an easy walk over. It was a great value for the price. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Highly recommended.

I was kind of sketchy at first, but turned out to be a great stay! The senior dog was the best part of my stay! Will definitely stay again. The room was nice, clean and overall very quiet, considering it’s downtown.
