This is probably one of the nicest boutique hotels I have seen in Bacalar. It's luxurious and not over priced. My room was upstairs with a partial lagoon view. It felt very private and extremely comfortable although I'd say the beds are on the small side but I'm a solo traveller so wasn't an issue for me. It's a little out of the town but taxis are so cheap no more than 50 pesos. I loved the huge outdoor bathtub. The pool area was very nice and there's a deck leading to the lagoon. Food was very very good, the chef was accommodating to my specific requirements and it didn't work out very expensive. Service by all staff is exceptional here. Hotel was so quiet I sometimes felt like the only guest. I'd highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Excelente hotel. Nuevo Ambas piscinas de primer nivel y lo padre es que tiene acceso directo a Laguna Sin duda me volvería a quedar.

Our stay was fantastic in a room with a wonderful view of the Laguna. The property is like a little oasis, filled with plants, flowers, private areas for dining and a swimming pool overlooking the water. The chef is over the top, best food we have had in Mexico! Staff was great and super professional.

The hotel was very secure 24/7. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The chefs created a culinary experience with their dishes. The property is well maintained and very clean. This was a wonderful first experience at a boutique hotel

Serene, beautiful property with a great lagoon view. Super easy parking and secure entrance. We stayed in two room types and thought both were excellent (lagoon view suite, and partial lagoon view room). The overall vibe was nice with chill electronic music playing and waiters roaming to make sure you had all you needed, the food an drinks were excellent (ate multiple meals during our stay). Only critique would be that the lounge chairs facing the lagoon are limited in number, and other guests would hold them by placing a towel down even though they would not show back up for hours, leaving no chairs left to enjoy - wish the hotel would put a policy about this.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour dans cet hôtel. Nous avons enlevé une étoile uniquement à cause des odeurs d’égouts dans la chambre. En mettant de côté cet incident, le personnel est top ! La nourriture de l’hôtel excellente. Nous avons aussi apprécié le tour en bateau qui a pu nous récupérer et laisser sur le ponton de l’hôtel. Nous recommandons !

Un service hors pair, l'hôtel très propre. Les chambres au bord de la lagune sont spacieuses. Très zen sur le site, l'hôtel au goût du jour/Moderne. Les cocktails sont délicieux avec un excellent menu varié. Certainement dans les tops des hôtels à Bacalar 5 min de taxi pour ce rendre au Centro. Garde de sécurité 24/24. Point faible la localisation pour la Lagune. En fait de notre passage à Bacalar ce fut notre coup de coeur ❤️

Fue una experiencia muy agradable!! Todo el personal es muy amable, detallista y servicial. Limpio. Las habitaciones cómodas y no hay ruidos externos. Me encantó la terraza con vista a la Laguna y la alberca con acceso a la Laguna. Es un excelente lugar para descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza

This hotel is very noisy. I spent three nights there and got very little sleep. The hotel is located on a narrow strip of land between a busy main road and the lagoon. While the side facing the lagoon is quiet, we had a room (mid-range price category) closest to the road. There is a constant hum of engines, especially motorcycles and trucks, even at night. Additionally, there was a noise from a compressor, like that of an air conditioner or pump, heard loudly at night. The bar is also located in this area, where early in the morning there is clattering of dishes and the loud sound of a juicer being turned on. This not being enough, there is also a construction side next to the hotel with hammering noise during the day. This hotel is not suitable for noise-sensitive people!

Hotel Boutique con atención al detalle y tranquilo. Amé la comodidad de mi habitación, que tenía un balcón con vista a la Laguna. La tina de baño riquísima y la cama muy cómoda. El ambiente es tranquilo y la atención muy buena. Como para relajarse y desconectarse un rato.

Les + : Petit hôtel confortable et propre, avec accès direct à la lagune et situé à quelques minutes de voiture du centre de Bacalar. Personnel très agréable. Nous avons mangé deux fois sur place durant notre séjour (un petit-déjeuner et un repas du soir) et c’était délicieux. LE - : Notre suite studio “vue lagon” avait surtout une vue sur la piscine au premier plan. Le plus dérangeant est que de la musique type “lounge” est diffusée assez fort et non stop du matin au soir notamment au bord de la piscine. Peu agréable donc pour profiter de notre terrasse. Si nous avions su nous aurions réservé un autre type de chambre. Dommage car cela gâche un peu l’expérience.

Beautiful property with beautiful rooms. We arrived to a delicious cold complimentary cocktail. The staff were very helpful with everything from carrying our luggage, changing us to a room with a better view as per their own suggestion. The pool and jetty areas are beautiful, and they will let you reserve to eat dinner here. The restaurant was very nice, and the cocktails were great. Perfect place to relax

We had a great 2 night stay at Puerta del Cielo. From the moment we checked in the staff were so attentive, there were so many little details that meant a lot. We had several meals during our stay and everything we ate not only looked like art, but was outstanding. Luis the head chef was so helpful with tips of things to see and do and places to eat outside of the hotel.

todo estuvo muy bien... la atencion en general..solo un par de observaciones para que mejoren eso: si uno no quiere dejar voucher abierto, no le esten cobrando la cuenta casi casi, antes de llevar lo que se pide.. no creo q nadie vaya a salir corriendo.. es incomodo.. y dos, traten de tener personal suficiente, pues uno tenia q estar subiendo seguido a pedir cosas pues un mesero, no se daba abasto para atender a toda la gente.. pero en general excelente la atencion de todos, y buena comida del restaurante.... super recomendado ya el hotel con mucha gente..... saludos y gracias

The staff was very accomadating and super friendly! We checked in a day late and let them know and they were waiting for us in the morning! Their greeting made us feel like celebrities! They also offered to credit me for missing my first night if we wanted to stay another night but we already had another reservation. After we left to our other destination(playa del carmen) we wishe we wouldve stayed another night!. All in all the place was beautiful & peacefule! Food was delicious as well! Would definately stay again! Dont hesitate on this property! Was conpletely worth it! Thank you Puerto del Cielo!

Me encanto, sin duda volvería, el personal es súper amable sin embargo tardan muchísimo en atenderte incluso cuando no había casi huéspedes en el hotel. En el area de la piscina estaría mas cómodo si a las sillas para tomar el sol les agregaran alguna colchoneta ya que son de madera y son muy incómodas.

This hotel is very noisy. I spent three nights there and got very little sleep. The hotel is located on a narrow strip of land between a busy main road and the lagoon. While the side facing the lagoon is quiet, we had a room (mid-range price category) closest to the road. There is a constant hum of engines, especially motorcycles and trucks, even at night. Additionally, there was a noise from a compressor, like that of an air conditioner or pump, heard loudly at night. The bar is also located in this area, where early in the morning there is clattering of dishes and the loud sound of a juicer being turned on. This not being enough, there is also a construction side next to the hotel with hammering noise during the day. This hotel is not suitable for noise-sensitive people!

Un service hors pair, l'hôtel très propre. Les chambres au bord de la lagune sont spacieuses. Très zen sur le site, l'hôtel au goût du jour/Moderne. Les cocktails sont délicieux avec un excellent menu varié. Certainement dans les tops des hôtels à Bacalar 5 min de taxi pour ce rendre au Centro. Garde de sécurité 24/24. Point faible la localisation pour la Lagune. En fait de notre passage à Bacalar ce fut notre coup de coeur ❤️

o Hotel é incrível, muito bem localizado, bem perto do centro de Bacalar, e com uma vista sensacional do lago. As instalações são lindas, um paisagismo fantástico, atendimento primoroso por parte de todos os funcionários, além de um serviço gastronômico como eu não havia encontrado em nenhum hotel do México. Estou extasiado com esse lugar, espero que sigam por muitos anos mantendo a excelência dos serviços.

Our stay was fantastic in a room with a wonderful view of the Laguna. The property is like a little oasis, filled with plants, flowers, private areas for dining and a swimming pool overlooking the water. The chef is over the top, best food we have had in Mexico! Les + : Petit hôtel confortable et propre, avec accès direct à la lagune et situé à quelques minutes de voiture du centre de Bacalar. Personnel très agréable. Nous avons mangé deux fois sur place durant notre séjour (un petit-déjeuner et un repas du soir) et c’était délicieux. LE - : Notre suite studio “vue lagon” avait surtout une vue sur la piscine au premier plan. Le plus dérangeant est que de la musique type “lounge” est diffusée assez fort et non stop du matin au soir notamment au bord de la piscine. Peu agréable donc pour profiter de notre terrasse. Si nous avions su nous aurions réservé un autre type de chambre. Dommage car cela gâche un peu l’expérience.

Serene, beautiful property with a great lagoon view. Super easy parking and secure entrance. We stayed in two room types and thought both were excellent (lagoon view suite, and partial lagoon view room). The overall vibe was nice with chill electronic music playing and waiters roaming to make sure you had all you needed, the food an drinks were excellent (ate multiple meals during our stay). Only critique would be that the lounge chairs facing the lagoon are limited in number, and other guests would hold them by placing a towel down even though they would not show back up for hours, leaving no chairs left to enjoy - wish the hotel would put a policy about this.

The hotel is super cute and welcoming. The staff is wonderful and helpful at all times, always caring about our experience in the hotel. It was my birthday and they decorated our room and gave us a bottle of sparkling. You cannot miss the private dinner experience. We had it on the bangalo, the food was amazing (order the catch of the day) and the vibes were immaculate. We will never forget that night! We truly loved our experience in Bacalar!
